Joe Miller is a dangerous extremist with a history of serious ethical problems. The latest polls show that Alaska voters are realizing this and quickly running away from Miller.

Incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski claims to be moderate and is running “in the middle,” but her record clearly shows she is no moderate. She has repeatedly voted in lockstep with her fellow obstructionist Republican Senators against the best interests of Alaskans and all Americans. She has been campaigning on the phony claim that voting for Democrat Scott McAdams would help Joe Miller, while she, as a write-in candidate is really the one who is threatening to help Miller by siphoning Democratic and Independent votes.

Scott McAdams will stand up for science and public education against the Religious Right.

Joe Miller: Ethically-Challenged Tea Party Radical

  • Is backed by radical Religious Right groups, opposes stem-cell research, wants creationism taught in schools and wants to do-away with a woman’s right to choose, even in cases of rape and incest.

  • Supports amending the U.S. Constitution to ban same-sex marriage (which contradicts statements that he thinks marriage is a state issue), and believes that laws preventing hate crimes are unconstitutional.

  • Now says that government health care benefits and unemployment insurance are unconstitutional, but had no trouble using them to support himself and his family.

  • Says he opposes government welfare but took federal farm subsidies.

  • Wants to phase-out Social Security and Medicare.
  • Repeatedly lied about hacking into his co-worker’s computers while working as a government attorney, then he tried to cover it up in court.

  • Classified himself as “indigent” to receive discounts on his fishing license even though he was remodeling his home at the time.

  • Refuses to answer questions about his past, and had his security guards illegally handcuff and detain reporter for asking him questions.

  • Wants to repeal the 17th Amendment, which allows voters to elect their Senators.

  • Tried to block the investigation into Sarah Palin’s “troopergate” scandal.
