Maddow Features PFAW Lawsuit in Segment on Sessions’ Russia Contacts

People For in Action

On September 12, People For the American Way sued the Department of Justice and the FBI to force the release of instructions that Attorney General Jeff Sessions claims he received regarding disclosure of his Russian government contacts when he was applying for a security clearance. The FBI has so far failed to respond to a related FOIA request from PFAW’s Right Wing Watch.

PFAW President Michael Keegan pointed out that these documents, which “should be easy to produce,” are of “urgent public importance.”

Rachel Maddow featured the PFAW lawsuit in a segment that aired that evening.

PFAW is represented in the lawsuit by American Oversight and People For the American Way Foundation.
