On March 6, People For the American Way and allies gathered on Capitol Hill to rally support for the Child Care for Working Families Act, which would:

  • Ensure that low-income families do not pay more than seven percent of their income on child care.
  • Support access to high-quality preschool programs for young children in need.
  • Improve compensation and training for teachers and caregivers.

PFAW activists were among the more than 43,000 petition signatures that were delivered to members of Congress. This bill is a critical component of PFAW’s fight for gender equity.

We stand with those who recognize that we all have something to gain when women and families not only survive but also thrive.
