Mark Creech Attacks LGBT-Affirming Churches As A Satanic 'Fifth Column’'

Writing yesterday in the Christian Post, Rev. Mark Creech delved into the debate within the United Methodist Church over homosexuality by blasting LGBT-affirming reconciling congregations as a traitorous “fifth column” within the denomination.

Creech, who leads North Carolina’s American Family Association affiliate, the Christian Action League, said that such churches are participating in “the onslaughts of the Evil One” and “spiritual whoredom,” and urged anti-LGBT congregations to “to cordon off and separate from that ‘fifth column.’”

In 1939, near the end of the Spanish Civil War, outside the city of Madrid, the rebel General Mola was about to launch his attack. When asked which of his four columns of troops would first enter the city, Mola's reply became legendary. He responded, "The fifth." The General was referring to a band of rebel sympathizers behind Loyalist lines inside the city, a group that was already helping him. His coining of the term "fifth column" has been used for decades as a description of a traitor, someone who aids and assists the enemy from within.

Romans chapter one indicates that societal support for homosexuality is consequential of a culture's idolatry. I suggest the affirmation of the gay lifestyle by religious bodies is evident of their own spiritual whoredom.

I commend Methodists who see the need to separate from those in their own ranks who do not hold fast to sound doctrine. The apostle John admonished, "If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds" (2 John 10-11).

Some will probably deem these words to be too harsh and without Christian compassion. Others will say I have no right to judge who is or isn't a Christian. I neither speak devoid of a broken heart, nor do I claim to know another man's heart before the Lord. But I do know that apostasy is a matter of spiritual life or death for the church and the credibility of its witness. I do know God allows it to sort out true believers from unbelievers. And, I do know its occurrence can also work for good in awakening believers to a new energy and a greater commitment to the things of God.

Nevertheless, if the city of God set high on a hill is to withstand the onslaughts of the Evil One to destroy it and its power to change the world, something has to be done to cordon off and separate from that "fifth column."

Texas Religious Right Leader Warns LGBT Protections Will 'Terrorize Women And Children'

Rejecting the claims of Religious Right activists who warned that Houston’s proposed Equal Rights Ordinance was a demonic attempt to aid sexual predators, the Houston City Council voted 11-6 this week to approve the LGBT-inclusive nondiscrimination measure.

In an appearance on “The Janet Mefferd Show" yesterday, Jonathan Saenz of the group Texas Values reacted to the city council’s decision by declaring that the ordinance presented a “public safety risk.” Saenz alleged that it would empower “sexual predators” to “terrorize women and children,” suggesting that “other cities” experienced such incidents after passing legal protections for the transgender community.

Despite his claims, there is no evidence linking transgender protections to sex crimes.

Alan Keyes Claims Gay Rights Will Lead To 'Self-Inflicted Genocide' And 'Suicide For Humanity'

Alan Keyes, who is apparently under the impression that gay rights laws will turn everybody gay and create a childless society, writes today in WorldNetDaily that gay rights advocates are promoting the “extinction of humanity.”

In a column titled “Homosexual ‘Rights’: Suicide For Humanity?,” Keyes alleges that gay rights have no place in America because “the homosexual couple is not engaged in the act of human procreation.”

“If genocide is wrong for this or that race of human beings, how can self-inflicted genocide be right for humanity as a whole?” he asks.

As individuals, some human beings may find this activity intensely gratifying. But considered on the whole, in terms of its consequences, it implies the nonexistence of humanity. The homosexual couple is not engaged in the act of human procreation. Their activity is not haunted by the possibility of human offspring. It does not imply the reification of their responsibility for the future of humanity as such. The pleasurable satisfaction it involves does not draw individuals away from their particular selves toward a concrete physical union (in the child they conceive) that represents the perpetuation of their being as a whole, their human being. Their ecstasy is more like the highest pitch given off by a guitar string just before the turn of the tuning peg that causes it to break.

This simultaneous respect for the nature of the individual as a whole and the nature constituted by the whole of all such individuals is the hallmark of the natural law. Human sexual activity in the true sense (i.e., the activity of human procreation) is the concrete paradigm of this respect. Respect for the nature of human sexual activity, therefore, implies respect for the authority of the natural law. The special combination of human faculties allows human beings to act without such respect. But just as homosexual activity implies the extinction of humanity as such, so acting without respect for the natural law implies the extinction of humanity as a whole.

This reveals the supreme irony of the contemporary debate over law-enforced respect for so-called homosexual rights. In their clamor about global warming, poverty or an end to racism, those who advocate such respect pretend to be “humanitarians.” Yet they seek to discard our respect for the activity that implements the law (of the Creator) intended to preserve and perpetuate the nature of humanity as, in and of ourselves, we know it to be.

We do not forbid people to fly because they are born without wings. So the advocates of law-enforced respect for homosexuality may argue. But if and when they propose that, as a species, we should, like Icarus, fly into the sun, what then? If genocide is wrong for this or that race of human beings, how can self-inflicted genocide be right for humanity as a whole?

Janet Porter Warns Of Disney World's 'Public Displays Of Perversion'

Religious Right activist Janet Porter is upset that gay people are vacationing to Disney World for “Gay Day at Disney,” calling on members of her group, Faith 2 Action, to spread the word.

Today she told listeners of her radio bulletin that “the homosexual agenda is planning to once again descend on Disney World in Orlando, Florida to expose your children to far more than Mickey Mouse and Space Mountain.” Porter advised that “cross-dressing men will be among those parading public displays of perversion.”

Porter also praised the work of the Florida Family Association who plan to protest Gay Day by flying a banner across the park. “When homosexual activists deliberately target thousands of children with their agenda parents should be given the chance to protect their youngsters,” the group said in a statement.

Tom DeLay Says Americans Will Vote Republican Because They're Rediscovering God

Yesterday on Washington Times Radio’s “Getting It Right,” Tom DeLay predicted big Republican gains in the upcoming midterm elections because Americans are tired of “same-sex marriage and abortion” and angry that “politicians pushed God out of the public sphere.”

“People are finally understanding that they have got to bring God back into the mix of politics and what’s going on in the civil government,” the increasingly televangelistic former House GOP leader said.

“I’m really seeing a spiritual revival, a constitutional revival, people may not know it or may not be able to articulate it, but they have a sense of what is right and what is truth and they’re grabbing a hold of that and they’re running with it and I’m very excited about it.”

James Robison Says Gay Marriage Laws Are 'Wars Against The Creation Itself'

On Friday, televangelist James Robison slammed efforts to “redefine marriage” as “wars against the creation itself” that “we should oppose with all our might.”

Robison wrote on his website that the campaign for marriage equality is a “totalitarian” push to quash religious expression and increase the size of government.

Conjugal marriage and the family are the two most basic human institutions. They exist in every time and place, and they pre-exist the state. The state does not determine what marriage and family are, but they must recognize them. That’s why political attempts to redefine marriage and family are not tolerant but totalitarian. They are wars against the creation itself, and we should oppose them with all our might.

At the same time we must support policies that encourage healthy families. This requires discernment, since every half-baked bill proposed in Congress claims to be pro-family. But many policies create incentives that harm the family. Divorce rates, out-of-wedlock births, and fatherless homes have risen in every class in the United States in the last fifty years, but the decay has been catastrophic in poor communities where the welfare state has mostly replaced the traditional roles of the father and the church. This tragic unintended consequence suggests a rule of thumb: If a policy surrenders territory to the state that ought to be part of civil society, that policy will harm rather than help families in the long run.

Secularism and progressivism, however, deny that we can know God and morality. They seek to quarantine both to a ghetto of private religious faith. This has created a secular and relativistic public square, which is exactly the opposite of what the Founders intended. We must reverse this trend and defend the truth that man has real moral knowledge, which is the foundation of just government.

Faith encourages the virtues that help sustain the free society. It gives us hope in the future, which is under the providence of God, while preventing us from falling for utopian fantasies like the communist illusions that killed scores of millions of people in the twentieth century.

We must correct the false stereotype that faith feeds theocracy and defend the freedom of believers to apply their faith to the concerns of the day.

Tony Perkins Manages To Link Isla Vista Massacre To Obamacare

After linking the Isla Vista shooting to gay marriage, now the Family Research Council is somehow trying to use the incident to criticize Obamacare.

On his Tuesday radio show, FRC head Tony Perkins managed to turn a discussion of shooter Elliot Rodger’s misogynist thinking into a right-wing attack on Obamacare, explaining that “nothing is being said about how Hollywood has sexualized everything where it’s almost like Obamacare, you have a right to healthcare, you have a right to sexual gratification, almost.”

Southern Baptist Official Says Satan Is Behind Michael Sam Media Coverage

An article published on the Southern Baptist Convention’s website today asserts that Michael Sam is no Jackie Robinson and that it is Satan’s fault that people are comparing the two athletes.

Writing for the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, pastor David Prince dismisses claims that Sam faces prejudice for being gay since “much of the institutional and structural authority in America is committed to aiding the cultural momentum to normalize homosexuality in all aspects of American culture.”

“Robinson endured hatred and persecution because of his skin color whereas Sam’s homosexuality is a self-identification,” Prince writes. “Satan is pleased with the narrative that Michael Sam is the new Jackie Robinson.”

Jackie Robinson and Michael Sam share the same skin color and are both athletes whose entrance in professional sports caused a stir in the media. And that is where the similarities end.

Robinson was an unquestionable talent who was named rookie of the year in his first major league baseball season. The only thing that had kept him out of the major leagues was his skin color and institutional racism. Sam’s future in the NFL will be decided by whether he is talented enough and not an off-field distraction. Robinson endured hatred and persecution because of his skin color whereas Sam’s homosexuality is a self-identification.

The Spirit of Christ met the challenge of Jim Crow with a call to faith and repentance, and we must meet the challenge of the sexual liberationist movement with that same call. Satan is pleased with the narrative that Michael Sam is the new Jackie Robinson because it is his same old temptation to look at the world without the cross of Christ (Matt. 4:1-11). But the evil one would be equally pleased for Christians to look at the world without the cross of Christ from the opposing direction by declaring war on Sam as a two-dimensional enemy in an abstract culture war as if his failure would be our victory.

That’s not all. Dwight McKissic, a Southern Baptist pastor with a history of anti-gay remarks, wants to pass a resolution at the upcoming SBC annual meeting condemning President Obama and the media for their positive treatment of Sam.

Whereas Jesus warned His disciples concerning the dangers of adversely impacting the lives of children (Matthew 18:6),

Be it resolved that we believe that it is inappropriate for children to be subjected to having to watch same-sex couples engage in public displays of affection while watching a sports-related event on allegedly family-friendly channels. We discourage any further televising of such events. While there is a missing airplane somewhere in the Far East, over 200 kidnapped girls from Nigeria, and high unemployment in America, we respectfully request the President of the United States to refrain from congratulating and extending well wishes to any future homosexual professional sports players, unless simultaneously he is going to make celebratory and well wishes calls to the likes of Tim Tebow, Prince Amukamara—the “Black Tim Tebow,” and AC Green, professional athletes committed to sexual purity.

Be it resolved that the Southern Baptist Convention views it as an unfit analogy that the St. Louis Rams—having recently drafted the first openly homosexual player and the Los Angeles Rams in 1946, having signed the first African American to an NFL contract in the modern era, is indicative of social progress or advancement. To compare the advent of a same-sex attraction player, to an African American player is to compare one man’s skin—to another man’s sin. The Southern Baptist Convention completely, absolutely, and unequivocally rejects the comparison. One’s racial identity is a by-product of biology. One’s sexual identity is a by-product of one’s preference or choice. Therefore, it is intellectually dishonest to compare skin color, with same-sex relational desires. It is also offensive and racist.

Family Research Council Prays To Stop LGBT Pride Month

Angry that a Family Research Council prayer event coincides with LGBT Pride Month, FRC prayer director Pierre Bynum called on members today to pray for God to “stop the advance of this official celebration of sin.”

“Only heaven knows exactly how this brazen departure from the moral law of God will impact our nation,” Bynum said.

LGBT Pride Month - On Call2Fall Sunday, June 29th, the very day believers and churches across America will fall to their knees to pray for our nation, those who self-identify as homosexuals will be celebrating "LGBT Pride Day," a grand finale for June's observance of "LGBT Pride Month." President Obama will announce the observance and the White House, federal agencies, the Pentagon, many state agencies, many businesses and likeminded organizations across America will join the celebration. Only heaven knows exactly how this brazen departure from the moral law of God will impact our nation. But we are called to intercede with an Almighty God (White House Celebrates Activist Harvey Milk, New Postage Stamp 2013 WH Proclamation).

• May the Lord hear out intercessions stop the advance of this official celebration of sin! (Gen 20:18-23; Rom 1:16-32; 3:10 ff; Heb 13:4; Jude 7, 21-25)

Charisma Pundit: 'Black Men Need More White Women Like Ann Coulter And Laura Ingraham'

Charisma pundit Raynard Jackson warns today that homosexuality and immigration are hurting African American men, and only white female right-wing commentators like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham can save the black community by fighting President Obama.

Seriously.

Black women constantly complain about the dearth of "eligible" black men to date and marry. Noted sociologist William Julius Wilson has argued that "the increasing levels of non-marriage and female-headed households is a manifestation of the high levels of economic dislocation experienced by lower-class black men in recent decades."

He further argues, "When joblessness is combined with high rates of incarceration and premature mortality among black men, it becomes clearer that there are fewer marriageable black men relative to black women who are able to provide the economic support needed to sustain a family."

Then you add in the unfortunate increase in homosexuality within the black community and you have a recipe for disaster.

This is why black men need more white women like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham. Even though they are conservative media personalities, they have done more to promote the well-being of black males than many of the very women who stridently complain about the lack of "eligible" black men.

So, let me make sure I understand. Black women complain about the state of "eligible" black males to date and marry, yet they support the policies of a president who is going to make the problem much worse.

Obama has done more for same-sex marriage couples than he has for his same-race brothers and sisters. In fact, Newsweek dubbed him our first gay president—not for his sexual orientation, but for his relentless pandering to homosexuals.

Obama has also advocated amnesty for those in this country who are here illegally, which will only continue to increase the unemployment rate in the black community, especially among low- and under-skilled black workers. This will further decrease the pool of potential black men for women to date and marry. Let's face it, our women are not going to marry someone who is unemployed or underemployed.

Historically, black women have been notoriously protective of their men and children. It is ironic that Coulter and Ingraham, two conservative white women, are now assuming that role. We black men need more white women like Coulter and Ingraham, not back women who will give a pass to a failing black president.
