Ben Carson: 'Gestapo' Obama Administration Hopes To Shut Down Fox News

Conservative leaders are continuing to rally around Dinesh D’Souza, who has been charged with making illegal “straw donations” to the campaign of a Republican Senate candidate, by claiming — citing zero evidence — that the prosecution is due to D’Souza’s right-wing activism.

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah posted a story today featuring congressmen Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Steve Stockman (R-TX) denigrating the prosecution as political maneuvering by the Obama administration.

But the most incendiary rhetoric came from Ben Carson, who compared the Obama administration to the Gestapo and said that President Obama will not “be happy unless Fox News were shut down and there was no more criticism of his actions.”

Dr. Ben Carson, the brain surgeon turned popular political analyst, told WND Obama administration officials are “acting like the Gestapo” with the Justice Department indictment of Dinesh D’Souza coupled with the Internal Revenue Service’s political targeting of the administration’s critics.

“I believe we are dealing with an extremely corrupt administration,” he said.

Dr. Carson himself became the subject of an IRS audit after criticizing Barack Obama’s policies at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington last year.

“What he said was that his administration was not guilty of any wrongdoing with regard to the IRS and he blamed Fox News for reporting it,” Dr. Carson said. “I don’t think he would be happy unless Fox News were shut down and there was no more criticism of his actions.”

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., called the D’Souza indictment “100 percent” political.

“Of course it is,” she said. “It is payback from the DOJ. Plus, it sends a signal to anyone else for 2016 who may be thinking of producing a movie. It is up to the candidate to return the money. This should have been found when the FEC filing occurred. I don’t know the details, but this could cost Dinesh literally millions in legal defense fees, plus destroying his name and making him toxic to conservatives and Republicans. These are the goals of the political destruction machine at the DOJ.”

Likewise, Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, told WND, “Yes, I think it is political. It fits a pattern of abuse of power. As someone else said, President Obama is the president Nixon wanted to be.”

Paranoia-Rama: Satan's Grammys, Obama's Internment Camps, & Lego's Anti-Business Brainwashing

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

Children are our future, and our friends at Fox News warn us that “The Lego Movie” is trying to brainwash them into becoming mini-Marxists.

Maybe these communist kids will then take part in President Obama’s plan, revealed to us by Glenn Beck, to round up his enemies and force them into internment camps? We’re not saying for sure, just asking the question!

5. Legos Out To Destroy Capitalism

Fox Business Network is worried that “The Lego Movie,” “The Muppets” and “RoboCop” are attempting to “indoctrinate kids” with “anti-capitalist messages” … just like “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

Host Monica Crowley even cheered on It’s a Wonderful Life villain Mr. Potter, which makes this Jimmy Kimmel sketch seem all too real.

4. 'Al Franken Wants To Require Pedophilia In All Public Schools'

In an absurd — even for him — email to members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project, right-wing activist Gordon Klingenschmitt insists that Sen. Al Franken’s Student Non-Discrimination Act will “require pedophilia in all public schools” and “require pro-gay child recruiting.”

But don’t worry, Klingenschmitt says he can stop Franken’s “‘No Child Left Unmolested’ amendment” through faxes (and your financial contribution): “Do you want Al Franken legislating pedophiles to recruit your kids? Let's petition all 535 Congressmen and Senators to STOP Franken's child-abuse.”

3. Satan’s Grammys

Leave it to Religious Right radio host Kevin Swanson to explain how the 2014 Grammy Awards transformed into a “satanic pagan orgy” that celebrated “fornication, twerking, stripping and satanic rituals.”

Of course, Swanson explains, the music industry’s “demonic approach to things” really traces back to The Beatles.

2. Antichrist 2016

Far-right pundits are still debating whether President Obama is the Antichrist or merely setting the stage for the Antichrist, but at least one Republican congressional candidate believes he has identified the Antichrist’s identity: Hillary Clinton.

Ryan Zinke, a Montana GOP state senator who is running for an open U.S. House seat, called Clinton the Antichrist during a campaign speech, which ended with him “handing out 50-calibre bullets to each of the four men who sponsored the event before a crowd of about 30 people.”

The Republican politician later backtracked when his remarks generated national headlines, saying that he was only joking and that he regretted that his comments were “a little bit harsh.”

1. Internment Camps A-Coming

Glenn Beck floated the FEMA camps conspiracy theory in 2009 before he eventually renounced it, but that doesn’t mean he stopped thinking that President Obama or his allies are planning to establish internment camps as part of a burgeoning police state.

Just this week, Beck suggested that the government may begin to round up Obamacare critics, abortion rights opponents and climate change deniers. He even unveiled a new claim about how the Obama administration may cause another war against Israel in order to force Jewish Americans and supporters of Israel into camps.

WND Pundits: Impeach Obama Before He Turns Into Kim Jong-un

Conservative author Diana West is out with a new WorldNetDaily column in which she warns that President Obama is turning America into a North Korean-style dictatorship with “one-party rule” and must face impeachment:

A few days ago, [Lars] Hedegaard wrote me with a new assignment:

“Would you write something about a disturbing phenomenon: the fact that Obama rules by decree and neglects the Constitution. How can this go on? Nixon was a complete amateur compared to this would-be Kim Jong-un. It looks like a coup d’etat. Nobody talks about it in Europe.”

Barack Obama, the government’s chief executive, is seizing powers that belong to the legislative branch. He’s not the first president to do so; not by a long shot. That’s also part of the ambivalence problem. Obama fits an accepted historical mode of abuse exemplified, for example, by the even more dictatorial FDR. Meanwhile, as Obama’s defenders correctly note, Obama, having issued 168 “decrees,” ranks on the low end among modern presidents. What distinguishes Obama’s fiats in our time, however, as Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, told CNSNews.com, is that Obama “has repeatedly made use of executive orders to change statute, to change law, to change legislation enacted by Congress.”

This is the formula for one-party rule. As such, it is outrageous, but it is just more static.

To be sure, some conservative Republicans – Sen. Mike Lee, as well as Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, for example – are speaking out against what Cruz calls the “imperial presidency.” But will their impassioned voices become static, too?

But Obama’s systematic assaults on constitutional governance require more than defunding, and more than static. They require, first and most urgently, a full airing. Impeachment, which may begin with an impeachment inquiry, is the means the Constitution provided us. It offers the way “forward,” as the president might say, to re-establish that America is a nation of laws, not men.

Not to be outdone, Alan Keyes claims that the “would-be dictator” Obama is getting help from the “GOP’s quisling leaders” in his movement towards “tyranny.”

He called on voters to back candidates who have “pledged to impeach/remove Obama and his collaborators,” warning that “if things just go on as they are, liberty will fail for lack of a party of liberty willing to battle against the elitist faction’s budding tyrants.”

If the Executive fails to carry out laws made by Congress (like the DOMA for instance), or takes actions not authorized by law (as Obama has with immigration and Obamacare), the legislature has two ways of compelling him to act, or to cease from unlawful action:

1. the power of the purse – cutting off money to the Executive branch; and

2. The impeachment/removal power – removing the vice president and the president, so that the succession provided for by law brings someone to office who will enforce the laws and respect the Constitution.

Absent active congressional discipline, Executive power always inclines toward dictatorship. Vaulting ambition aside, the pressure of events may feed this tendency even when nothing else does. We’ve had activist presidents before – Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson, to name a few. But only in the last generation or so has Congress consistently failed to use its constitutional power to curtail and rebuke unconstitutional Executive actions.

Even more culpably, since control of the U.S. House was restored to them by grass-roots voters in 2010, the GOP’s quisling leaders have collaborated with Obama’s radical socialist schemes, giving him mainly ineffectual, lip-service opposition. Thanks to this GOP collaboration, Obama has behaved in a more and more openly dictatorial fashion. Like other would-be dictators, at first he abuses power cautiously. When he is not called to account, his impunity leads others to fear him. Their fear encourages him to escalate his abuses. As those greater abuses also go unanswered, fear commences to predominate, until at last few if any are left courageous enough to stand against him.

Was Obama’s move against Dinesh D’Souza a kind of Rubicon, across which we must expect new and higher benchmarks of tyranny? However that may be, thanks to the quisling temperament of the GOP leadership, only a determined push from the grass roots will re-energize Congress’ constitutional power to thwart dictatorship. America needs a Congress willing and able to call Obama to account by way of the Constitution’s impeachment/removal provisions. Without that impetus, the political class will fall-in behind his bid to free the U.S. government’s power from all semblance of prior constraint (too many of them quite eagerly).

The political change needed to get this result must either overthrow the quisling leadership of the GOP, or else forge the basis for a national grass-roots voter mobilization poised to replace the now shiftless Republican Party. If things just go on as they are, liberty will fail for lack of a party of liberty willing to battle against the elitist faction’s budding tyrants.

To remedy this deficiency requires an appeal to the people. The upcoming general election offers the chance to make such an appeal, in order to elect a Congress capable of driving back the elitists bent on liberty’s demise. If people demand an impeachment/removal Congress; if they back up that demand with their votes; 2015 will bring on a Congress differently composed. Reformed by the presence of constitutional majorities pledged to impeach/remove Obama and his collaborators, Congress will have what it takes to defeat Obama’s offensive maneuvers against America’s constitutional liberty.

Ken Ham Strikes Back After Pat Robertson's Creationism Diss

As we reported on Wednesday, televangelist Pat Robertson — for at least the second time — dismissed Young Earth Creationism as “nonsense” that is “making a joke” of Christianity.

Robertson made the remarks in response to the debate between Bill Nye and Ken Ham, the leader of the Creation Museum and Answers In Genesis.

One thing that made Robertson’s comment’s surprising is that his own Christian Broadcasting Network regularly features fawning stories about Ham’s Creation Museum.

CBN’s website even promotes an essay by Kelly Hollowell of Answers In Genesis, called, “Evolution - The Ultimate Compromise,” that attacks critics of Young Earth Creationism for supposedly undermining Christianity.

Many Christians believe that the world is very old based on fossil records that are presumably dated at millions of years. Indeed the dispute between an old earth and a young earth is hotly debated within the Christian community. Unfortunately, those who subscribe to an old earth theory do not realize the enormity of their compromise.

The compromise is that as soon as one allows for an earth millions of years old, then one has accepted death, bloodshed, disease and suffering before Adam’s sin. In other words, the Garden of Eden would have been seated upon a mountain of dead animal bones. This doesn’t sound much like paradise.

Now if the world were millions of years old as suggested by evolutionists, blood was shed and death occurred before Adam's original sin. This would destroy the foundation of the atonement brought by the death of Christ on the cross. According to 1 Corinthians 15:54, sin and death have been swallowed up in victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus the enormity of compromise is revealed. To believe in evolution undermines the entire gospel message of Jesus Christ. All Christians believe that Jesus Christ suffered physical death and shed His blood because death was the penalty for sin. Therefore, teaching millions of years of death, disease and suffering before Adam sinned, is a direct attack on the foundation and message of the Cross.

Yesterday, Ham himself went on the attack. He pushed back against Robertson’s “misinformed and deceived” denunciation of Bishop James Ussher, who helped devise the chronology system that inspired Young Earth Creationism, by saying that Robertson “couldn’t even get the time of Ussher’s life correct. Not the 1800s but 1581-1656.”

Ham called on God to “convict and open the eyes of Christian leaders and Christian college and seminary professors, so many of whom are as uninformed and deceived as Pat Robertson. God have mercy.”

This is really sad. I wonder why Pat Robertson spoke about evolution and the age of the earth on the 700 club yesterday? I wonder if the debate on Tuesday had anything to do with this!

Pat Robertson is so misinformed and deceived. Sad that so many will believe him (who is neither a scientist, nor a Bible scholar rather than open their Bibles and see that evolution and millions of years are totally incompatible with the first 11 chapters of Genesis and rather than think for themselves and check out creationist web sites like Answers in Genesis.

He condemns Bishop Ussher (a brilliant Bible scholar and incredible student of history and ancient writings), but couldn’t even get the time of Ussher's life correct. Not the 1800s but 1581-1656.

Oh, that God would convict and open the eyes of Christian leaders and Christian college and seminary professors, so many of whom are as uninformed and deceived as Pat Robertson. God have mercy.

GOP Candidate Who Wants To Hang Obama Also Wants Democratic Congressmen Tried For Treason

Joshua Black, a Republican politician who hopes that President Obama will be hanged for treason, said in an interview with Renew America’s Sher Zieve today that all Democratic politicians should be prepared for such a fate after the second American Revolution.

Black said that Democrats hope to “make us their slaves” and “eagerly sought the death penalty for George W. Bush.”

He added that a bill backed by eight Democratic congressmen to end the death penalty in treason cases is proof that “they know that they could face these charges themselves – if there is a full revolution in America – and they want to leave an opening for them to return to power after people have forgotten their atrocities, ala Nelson Mandela.”

1) The president, when he was a candidate, fought hard for foreigners suspected of terrorism to have their day in court. But, when suspicions arose about the activities of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen living in Yemen at the time, the President merely authorized two separate drone strikes against him and his teenage son, a direct violation of the 14th Amendment.

2) When civil war began to engulf Libya, the President – along with the international community – sent arms and air strikes to assist the rebels on the ground. Little did the American people know that these rebels were flying the flag of al-Qaeda, our enemy in the War on Terror. This is exactly the definition of Treason that the Constitution describes in Article III, the penalty for which, as you well noted and every single politician knows, has been hanging since the Act of Congress, in accordance with the authority given in that same Article, established said penalty.

3) The president has supplied drug gangs with weapons, through Operation Fast and Furious, another direct act of treason (aren't we fighting a "War on Drugs"?) That resulted in the death of at least one American border patrol agent.

There are many more, but those should suffice.

As for the Democrats, their move to lessen the penalty for treason is hypocritical, considering they have eagerly sought the death penalty for George W. Bush for war crimes, Bradley Manning for aiding the enemy, and Eric Snowden for espionage. I think that they know that they could face these charges themselves – if there is a full revolution in America – and they want to leave an opening for them to return to power after people have forgotten their atrocities, ala Nelson Mandela.

In fact, our founding fathers learned from history and the Bible, because they put into place ways of removing unjust officials and bringing them to justice with minimal blood shed [sic]. Impeachment (for the President and all unelected federal officials) and expulsion (for congress) allows us to correct errors and mitigate deceit and wrongdoing in government. Ultimately, though, the People are still in charge. This nation will only be as conservative, free, or just as its People want to be. That's why we all need to be more vigilant to protect ourselves from criminal politicians who would make us their slaves. We do not exist to make them comfortable. They exist to do the jobs that We the People created for them in the Constitution, nothing more, nothing less.

Zieve, for her part, commended Black and claimed he is being persecuted:

However, as the penalty for treason in the USA is still death by hanging for this highest of crimes against the US Republic, Joshua logically agreed with him. However, logic and its conclusions no longer appear to play much of a part – if any – in the now 'brave new world' of dumbed-down-by-the-media-and-government-school-system people who inhabit the United States of America. In November 2014, we shall see whether or not these individuals constitute a majority and whether or not conservatives opt – again – not to vote and, instead, hand our country lock, stock and barrel over to those who are salivating at the prospect of using brute force and violence to subjugate the American people as the Obama/New World Order Police State begins to grow exponentially.

In the meantime, after interviewing him, I found Joshua Black to be one of those intelligent and articulate Constitutional conservatives who made up the majority of our founders and one whom We-the-People need in order to wrest our country back from those who are leading us to abject ruin. I trust you will find him as capable and interesting as do I.

Roy Moore Wants To Hold Constitutional Convention To Stop 'Oppressive' Marriage Equality

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who was once removed from office for refusing to comply with a court order to remove a statue of the Ten Commandments from a government building, is trying to organize a convention of states to push a ban on same-sex marriage into the U.S. Constitution.

He mailed letters Wednesday to all 50 governors urging them to get their legislatures to call for a convention to add an amendment to the U.S. Constitution saying the only union recognized by state and federal governments is "the union of one man and one woman." He also is setting up a website to rally public support.

Moore said the only way to stop judges who are finding new rights for gay unions is with a state-initiated constitutional amendment. "Government has become oppressive, and judges are warping the law," Moore said.

In the past, U.S. legislators have introduced federal marriage amendments, but Moore said he doesn't think Congress will offer one this year. The only alternative, he said, is going through Article V of the Constitution to get 34 states to agree that a convention is necessary.

Moore has previously claimed that marriage equality will “destroy this country” and “destroy the very foundation on which this country was built.”

And he means this literally: Moore has predicted that God will punish America over same-sex marriage, which he described as Satanic:

Peter LaBarbera Furious That Gay Couple Is Featured In 'America The Beautiful' Song Authored By Gay Songwriter

As you probably already know, right-wing commentators had a complete and utter meltdown over Coca-Cola’s “America the Beautiful” ad during the Super Bowl. Along with complaints that the ad featured eight different languages, several pundits criticized the inclusion of same-sex parents.

Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality was among them, complaining that Coca-Cola is trying to “pander to the ‘Gay’ Lobby” in its attempt to have Americans “conditition to accept sexual perversion as normal.”

"Coke's Super Bowl ad is only the latest step in the escalating government-corporate campaign to normalize homosexuality in the culture,” said Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.

“Americans are being conditioned to accept sexual perversion as normal and good, and there is some big corporate money behind it,” LaBarbera told LifeSiteNews. “It's sad that families can't even watch the Super Bowl anymore without having their faith undermined.”

“Common sense, reason, and centuries of Judeo-Christian history tell us that it is best for children to have a mom and a dad. This is what responsible companies should celebrate,” LaBarbera told LifeSiteNews. “Yet instead Coke chose to pander to the 'Gay' Lobby by honoring homosexual parenting – in this case a household that intentionally denies children a mother.”

LaBarbera said there was one solution to cultural messages promoting any kind of sexual immorality. “Parents must take proactive steps to explain to their children why biblical morality is preferable to an ideology and lifestyle that celebrates sexual sin in the name of 'diversity,'” he said.

Showcasing homosexuals alongside ethnic minorities places those who object on the defensive against charges they are “racist,” he said.

This is rather awkward since evidently LaBarbera and the other anti-gay activists trashing the Coca-Cola ad might want to do some research into the author of “America the Beautiful,” Katherine Lee Bates:

The author of this iconic anthem of American patriotism was Katherine Lee Bates. In a brilliant lampoon of the backlash against the Coke commercial, Stephen Colbert pointed out that Bates was a lesbian. He could also have added that she was also a Christian socialist and an ardent foe of American imperialism.

Bates (1859-1929), a well-respected poet and professor of English at Wellesley College, was part of progressive reform circles in the Boston area, concerned about labor rights, urban slums and women's suffrage.

For decades Bates lived with and loved her Wellesley colleague Katharine Coman, founder of the college's economics department, who authored The History of Contract Labor in the Hawaiian Islands and The Economic History of the Far West. Coman was also a poet. She and Bates jointly wrote English History as Taught by English Poets.

Although they lived together for 25 years in what was then called a "Boston Marriage," they could not publicly acknowledge their intimate relationship. When Coman died, however, Bates published Yellow Clover: A Book of Remembrance that celebrated their love and their involvement in the radical and social reform movements of their day.

Were Bates and Coman alive today, they would probably have taken advantage of Massachusetts' law allowing same-sex couples to marry -- a law that folks like Limbaugh find appalling.

Bates' circle of reformers and radicals -- including union activists, feminists, and housing crusaders -- were strong advocates for immigrants. Bates and Coman volunteered at Denison House, a Boston settlement house that worked to improve the lives of immigrants who lived in Boston's slums and worked in its sweatshops. Denison House was founded by their Wellesley colleague Vida Scudder, another radical socialist, feminist, and lesbian. It was modeled on Hull House, founded by Jane Addams in Chicago.

Weeks Later, Rep. Bridenstine Finally Responds To Supporter Who Called For Obama's Death

Back in January, the Tulsa 9:12 group posted video on YouTube — which they have since removed — of a celebratory event with Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) where a woman in the audience demanded that President Obama be killed.

“Obama, he’s not president, as far as I’m concerned, he should be executed as an enemy combatant,” she said as part of a larger rant about how Obama is supposedly “shipping” Muslims into the country.

As we reported at the time, the congressman responded to her call to violence against the President not being condemning her remarks but by going into a rant about Obama’s supposed “lawlessness.”

The Oklahoma Democratic Party responded with this statement:

Republican Congressman Jim Bridenstine (OK-1) recently held an event at which a supporter called the President a traitor who should be executed. Bridenstine’s supporter can be heard calling the President derogatory names and several references to the Muslim community as well.

“Just three days ago, someone was arrested for threatening to kill President George Bush. It is absolutely astonishing that a sitting United States Congressman would encourage and support that type of behavior. As an Oklahoman I am appalled that someone would threaten the Commander-in-Chief–Republican or Democrat. Congressman Bridenstine owes the President an apology, the country an apology and the people of Oklahoma an apology,” said ODP Chairman Wallace Collins.

Now several weeks later and only after he has been criticized for his response — or lack thereof — to the incident, Bridenstine finally responded to the activist’s deranged comments:

A public figure cannot control what people say in open meetings. I obviously did not condone and I do not approve of grossly inappropriate language. It is outrageous that irresponsible parties would attribute another person’s reckless remarks to me.

LaBarbera: US Should Adopt Russia-Style 'Gay Propaganda' Law To Stop Disney From 'Promoting Lesbianism To Kids'

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality director Peter LaBarbera said yesterdat that the U.S. should copy Russia’s “homosexual propaganda” law in order to censor shows like “Good Luck Charlie,” the Disney show that recently came under attack from Religious Right activists for featuring a same-sex couple.

“Look at the Disney show, they are promoting lesbianism to kids who don’t even know what sex is yet,” LaBarbera said in an interview with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios. “How are kids going to process that information of two moms?”

LaBarbera hailed Russia’s law for stopping people from “promoting homosexualism” and called it “acceptable and a good idea.” Rios agreed that the law was “common sense.”

LaBarbera even had harsh words for same-sex couples who send their children to school, because that may lead to discussions that would make anti-gay bigots like himself who seek to stigmatize the family feel uncomfortable.

They’re always asking, ‘How does it harm you? How does gay parenting affect you?’ Here’s how we see it affecting us: Young children are being taught that homosexuality, homosexual relationships is just normal. It’s actually very selfish because the adult choices are basically forced on everybody. This situation we saw in Disney is writ large.

If there’s a lesbian parenting, lesbians have a child at a school, the whole school—there’s pressure on the school then to teach, to not have any stigma be on that whole idea of homosexuality. Of course we don’t hate anybody, we don’t want any child harmed but these situations are forced upon the general public.

You know, the children are being forced by this so-called domesticated homosexuality, they pay the price. People say, ‘Why can’t you just teach them? Why do you have to have any stigma at all?’ Well, basically they are asking us to give up our beliefs.

He also told Rios that he will be travelling to Washington along with notorious anti-gay pastor Scott Lively to speak out in favor of Russia’s anti-gay crackdown in front of the Russian Embassy.

Robertson: Hypnosis Leads To Demonic Possession

Today on the 700 Club, Pat Robertson fielded a question from a viewer, Gillian, who wondered if a person can “get infested with demons” if they are “put under anesthesia.”

Robertson assured her that anesthesia wouldn’t open her up for demonic attacks because God will protect her, but warned her that hypnosis is a different story.

“I don’t think there’s a danger of being taken over by the demonic, I do think when people are hypnotized though — it this the power of suggestion — you are opening yourself up at that point,” Robertson said. “I think being hypnotized is a danger.”
