Phyllis Schlafly: Obama Immigration Announcement Could Lead To Civil War

Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly believes that President Obama’s upcoming announcement on new steps to relieve some undocumented immigrants from the threat of deportation could trigger a second Civil War.

She told WorldNetDaily’s Paul Bremmer yesterday that Obama’s executive action on immigration resembles the Southern bombardment of Fort Sumter, which led to the beginning of the Civil War, adding that the move is even more inscrutable than Pearl Harbor bombing because “with Pearl Harbor, the American people knew what was happening.”

President Obama’s looming executive action on immigration reform represents a Fort Sumter-type moment, according to conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly.

Schlafly at first considered comparing the Obama amnesty to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor but decided that Obama’s plan is much more subtle.

“With Pearl Harbor, the American people knew what was happening,” she said.

But Fort Sumter, where the opening shots of the Civil War were fired, represented the beginning of a ruinous conflict, and Schlafly, like fellow conservative luminary Richard Viguerie, speculates that an executive amnesty might touch off a sort of modern-day conflagration.

She is also skeptical of the idea that beneficiaries of Obama’s amnesty will be barred from receiving health-care subsidies.

“No, I don’t think he will deny them Obamacare,” she said.

So is the president lying?

“I think he lies about everything,” Schlafly said.

Allen West Predicts An 'Incredible Cry' For Obama's Impeachment

Former Florida congressman Allen West, who has previously called for Congress to impeach President Obama, said on Newsmax today that after Obama makes his planned announcement on immigration, Americans will express an “incredible cry” for his impeachment.

When host Steve Malzberg asked him whether Republicans push for impeachment, West responded that the president’s immigration announcement will provoke “an incredible cry from the American people” so that Republicans won’t even “need to talk about it.”

Rep. Kelly: Impeaching Obama Not Off The Table Because He's Dragging America Into A Civil War

Rep. Mike Kelly, Republican of Pennsylvania, reacted angrily today to President Obama’s indication that he will soon temporarily relieve some undocumented immigrants of the threat of deportation, telling Newsmax host Ed Berliner that such a move will push the country into an “internal crisis” not seen since the days leading up to the Civil War.

Kelly told Berliner that House Republicans shouldn’t take impeachment off the table:

“The country is witnessing something right now that I don’t think in our entire history we’ve ever looked at, a constitutional crisis,” he said, calling it “sickening” that many Democrats have applauded Obama’s immigration stance.

Of course, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush also used executive action to change status of certain undocumented immigrants.

He also harkened back to the Civil War and recommended that the president read Rick Warren’s book “A Purpose Driven Life” to temper his ego: Right now in the history of our country we have never had such an internal crisis as we’ve had, not since the mid-1800s, of what we’re going through right now. Why would this president choose this issue and cause a constitutional crisis? I really suggest to him, there’s a book out that I read years ago, it was really a turning point in my life, by pastor Rick Warren and it’s called ‘A Purpose Driven Life’ and the very first words: ‘It’s not about me.’ This is the president who everything is about him, it’s about his legacy or what he’s going to say is his legacy. I would hate to see him go down in history, or maybe he wants to go down in history, as the guy who tore America apart.

Pamela Geller: Immigration Action 'Death Knell' Of America

Anti-Muslim blogger Pamela Geller yesterday appeared on “The Janet Mefferd Show” where she warned that President Obama’s expected executive action on immigration will be a boon to terrorists.

After Mefferd said that radical Islamic militants might as well “gather at the Mexican border and just come across because executive amnesty is a-coming,” Geller cited false claims about border patrol agents finding Muslim prayer rugs at the southern border. Federal officials have also denied allegations that terrorists are crossing into the U.S. through Mexico.

“If you’re going to open up amnesty, I mean, that is the death knell,” she said.

“America better get a clue,” Geller said later in the program. “These beheadings are not going to stay contained in Iraq.”

Lamenting that “we were enormously safer under Bush,” Geller said that the U.S. is like a “stagecoach that’s careening off towards a cliff, the driver has fallen off and America is in the backseat of the carriage drinking tea.”

MassResistance: Gays Seek To 'Criminalize Christian Belief' And 'Homosexualize Children'

The anti-LGBT group MassResistance is upset with companies like Staples and CVS for sponsoring an upcoming Human Rights Campaign fundraiser, and is accusing the businesses of supporting the criminalization of Christianity.

“Most people don’t know that major corporations in America are funding the massive push to introduce homosexuality and transgenderism into the elementary school grades, pass laws across the country to criminalize Christian belief in the workplace, force ‘gay marriage’ through the federal courts, viciously harass pro-family groups, and much more,” the group said in a statement on Sunday.

Before asking conservatives to contact HRC’s donors, MassResistance warns parents to fear the day “when your child comes home from school reading homosexual books.”

Most people don’t know that major corporations in America are funding the massive push to introduce homosexuality and transgenderism into the elementary school grades, pass laws across the country to criminalize Christian belief in the workplace, force “gay marriage” through the federal courts, viciously harass pro-family groups, and much more. They're companies you likely buy from.

1. Fascist-like campaigns to harass and threaten individual pro-family leaders, their families, and their organizations

2. Funding to homosexualize children in the nation’s public schools

3. Funding and grassroots roots lobbying for laws across the country to criminalize Christian belief and morality and push transgenderism into public places

What are you going to do when your child comes home from school reading homosexual books? Are you going to be the next one who is sued -- for a huge amount -- for standing up for your beliefs at your own business? How do you feel watching federal judges force “gay marriage” in state after state as the voters watch helplessly?

Heritage Fellow: Obama Will Use Government 'Goodies' To Replace Americans With Latino Immigrants

Discussing President Obama’s likely executive action on immigration with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios today, Heritage Foundation senior fellow Mike Gonzalez suggested that the president wants to swap freedom-loving Americans with government-worshiping Latinos as part of his plan to weed out liberty from the country.

After Rios read an excerpt from a Federation for American Immigration Reform report claiming that an executive action would “open up federal and state benefits to individuals that are illegal immigrants,” Gonzalez said “Obama’s calculus” is to use undocumented immigrants to breed support for “big government.”

(Noncitizens under the Obama administration’s current deferred action program — which would be expanded under the proposed executive action — are not eligible for any federal benefits and do not have a path to citizenship and voting rights.)

“The reason he wants to do this is because he believes that these people, when they become voters, will support Big Government,” Gonzalez said. “For them to be assimilated into the ‘new America’ that the president and the progressives around him are trying to create, they need to be acclimated right away to being on government services, to liking government services, to think of the government as being a benevolent dispenser of goodies.”

He added that Obama plans to undermine the country’s “experiment in human freedom and prosperity” by replacing native-born Americans with immigrants who want a bigger government: “In order to change it, they need to create a people that like and look upon government as benevolent and a provider.”

Rios agreed, saying that Latino immigrants are “accustomed to government sort of being the ruler, they’re not used to self-rule or self-decisions.” She insisted that the “poison pill” of government will weaken Latino families just as she believes it damaged the black community.

Josh Duggar To Lead Rally Against Marriage Equality in Arkansas

Tomorrow, the Family Research Council and its Arkansas affiliate will join with Rick Scarborough’s Vision America to hold an anti-marriage-equality rally in Little Rock.

Among the speakers at the rally — which follows the state supreme court’s decision to take up a marriage case — will be Arkansas native Josh Duggar, the TLC reality show star and the executive director of FRC’s political arm.

• Mr. Joshua Duggar – Executive Director of FRC Action
• Mr. Jerry Cox – Founder and President of Family Council
• Senator Bart Hester – Arkansas State Senate
• Representative Bob Ballinger – Arkansas House of Representatives
• Pastor Happy Caldwell – Founder and President of Victory Television Network
• Pastor Derick Easter – New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church

The Arkansas Family Council urges members to turn out in Little Rock:

Are you ready to make your voice heard to the Arkansas Supreme Court about the sanctity of marriage?

Are you tired of judges running roughshod over the will of Arkansas’ voters?

If you are, then I want to invite you to an important rally on the Capitol Steps in Little Rock one week from today.

On Wednesday, November 19, at 11:00 AM Arkansans will rally in support of traditional marriage. This is an opportunity for everyone—especially ministers—to make their voices heard in saying marriage in Arkansas should remain the union of one man and one woman.

Jim Garlow: Religious 'Onslaught' Needed To Fight 'Demonic' Gay Marriage

Anti-gay activists Tony Perkins and Jim Garlow, who are attending the Vatican summit on marriage this week, spoke yesterday about how the conference could create a new, ecumenical movement to combat what Garlow called the “demonic movement to destroy marriage.”

“The attack on marriage is global,” Garlow told Perkins, who was broadcasting his “Washington Watch” program live from the Vatican. “I believe it’s clearly demonic.”

Garlow, the California pastor who helped orchestrate the Proposition 8 campaign, then called for “an onslaught of people who come together of very different values” to defend marriage from Satan, repeating his frequent refrain that if he were Satan he would “want to destroy marriage” by allowing gay couples to wed.

Anti-Obama Gun Activist Gets Shut Down: 'In Six Years He's Yet To Come And Get Your Guns'

Halfway through President Obama’s second term, gun lobbyists are still not backing down from their wild and incendiary claims that the president will launch a crackdown against gun owners any day now.

Steve King: 'Screechy' Hillary Clinton Won't Play Well In Iowa

Rep. Steve King thinks that if Hillary Clinton decides to run for president, her “fingernails on the chalkboard” voice will make her vulnerable in the Iowa caucuses.

The Iowa Republican told Steve Malzberg today that there is a “lack of excitement” for a Clinton candidacy and that the former secretary of state’s fellow Democrats should challenge her because her “screechy voice” will “play over and over again in Iowa.”
