Klingenschmitt: If You Are Gay, 'Then You Should Be Discriminated Against'

On his most recent "Pray In Jesus Name" program, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt added his voice to the never-ending Religious Right outrage over a proposed San Antonio anti-discrimination ordinance that would supposedly ban Christians for serving in public office or in any way working for the city.

It is all nonsense, of course, but that didn't stop Chaps from attacking the proposal by saying that gays should be discriminated against ... and citing Martin Luther King to prove it.

Klingenschmitt's line of reasoning was so convoluted that even he couldn't understand it, as he cited MLK's famous "judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character" line to assert that "if your heart is full of corruption or sin or immorality - in this case, homosexuality - then you should be discriminated against."

But then, seeming to realize that the argument he was making that discrimination based on character is justified could just as easily be used against people who are anti-gay, Klingenschmitt ended up tying himself in knots:

"When these confusing statutes now try to redefine discrimination and say that you can no longer discriminate against character ... that anyone who discriminates against character is guilty of discrimination and therefore ought to be discriminated against, they're actually saying Martin Luther King himself ought to be punished for his views, and that's not right."

Beck: 'All Of Western Society Comes From The Torah'

Glenn Beck once again hosted John Hagee on his television program last night, where he introduced him as "one of the great men alive today" based on their mutual love and concern for the nation of Israel, which they both explained was rooted in the Bible.

After Beck declared that he "gets his pro-Israel stance from the Bible" and that "between the Bible and the history of America, I know whose side we're supposed to be on," Hagee proclaimed that "the Jewish people do not occupy the land of Israel, they own the land of Israel" because it had been given to them by God.

As such, Hagee said, Christians are obligated to protect and defend them and Beck eagerly agreed, adding that "we're so indebted because, if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have the Torah, which most of our laws come from; all of Western society comes from the Torah":

Beck: US And Russia Are On The Verge Of World War III

Glenn Beck views all of human history as little more than a series of cycles that continuously repeat, seeing it as his responsibility to understand those cycles and uncover the modern-day recurrences in order to warn all of humanity what is coming down the road.

So when something happens today, it is just like what happened in the past, which means that what happens next will be just like what followed when it happened the last time in exactly the same fashion and on the same timeline.

All of which is a convoluted way of explaining that, according to Beck, we are now on the verge of World War III.

"It's the United States versus Russia," Beck declared on his radio broadcast today. "This is what all of us who are my age grew up worried about. This is it.  It's been a cold war. It's been a proxy war. It's been one where nobody really understands it yet. But I think you're about to.  I think this whole thing in the Middle East is the beginning of the end of the proxy war and the covert war. You're now going to see an openly hot war, I fear, and the beginning of World War III":

Bachmann: Immigration Reform 'Means You Don't Have A Future And A Hope'

Last month, the annual Eagle Forum Collegians Summit took place in Washington, DC where Birther crackpots like Jerome Corsi shared the stage with members of Congress like Michele Bachmann.

Bachmann spent a large part of her speech railing against immigration reform, telling the audience filled with college students that if any legislation passes, their taxes are going to skyrocket, the economy is going to collapse, and their futures are going to be destroyed.

"If you think taxes are high now," Bachmann warned, "get ready! This impacts you.  This means you don't have a job. This means you don't have benefit packages. This means you don't have a future and a hope."

Immigration reform should not be interested in being compassionate to those wishing to come here, she asserted, but rather focused on "America first; it's your life first and we've got to get our house back in order. That's what I'm elected to do: look out for the Americans who voted for me; my job isn't to look out for law-breakers who broke our law to come into the country":

Cruz: A Government Shut Down Is No Big Deal Because It Happens Every Weekend

Tea Party members of Congress like Sen. Ted Cruz are threatening to shut down the federal government in an effort to defund health care reform while, simultaneously, attempting to place the blame for any such shut down on President Obama.

Obviously, pulling that off successfully will require the creation of some pretty ingenious arguments, one of which Cruz tried out last week when he was interviewed on Newsmax TV where he asserted that the term "shut down is a misnomer; what it in fact is is a partial, temporary shut down" where "nonessential government functions are temporarily suspended.

"Now that's inconvenient," Cruz admitted, before adding "but we actually see that every single week on the weekends":

Beck: Obama And His Administration Are Sowing The Seeds Of A Race War

One of the great ironies of Glenn Beck's current trajectory is that he spends hours every week warning his audience that certain groups (e.g., progressives, unions, socialists, communists, Muslims, etc...) are working to divide the nation by blaming all of society's problems on other groups in order to implement their radical agenda ... while Beck's entire worldview hinges on the idea that it is these groups who are responsible for everything that is wrong with this nation.

Last night, he dedicated most of his program to laying out "The Anatomy of a Racist," and while he used Adolf Hitler, Louis Farrakhan, and David Duke as his examples, he was really trying to make the case that President Obama is following the same pattern.

On his radio broadcast today, Beck returned to the topic as he asserted that "many in this administration" fit this definition of racists, warning that they have been intentionally sowing the seeds to racial discord and are just waiting for the proper "crisis" to set off a race war:

Adams: Immigration Reform Will Lead To A Biometric Mark Of The Beast

Yesterday, End Times radio host Rick Wiles interviewed Cathie Adams, the former head of the Texas Republican Party and current president of the Texas Eagle Forum, in a wide-ranging discussion which included a warning that immigration reform would lead to biometric scanning which, as everyone knows, is a tool of Satan.

Adams warned that the problem is not just that Hispanics are crossing the border illegally, but so are people from Muslim nations and so if immigration reform passes, we'll be giving amnesty "to people who are not here with the best intentions for America."

After Adams said that the Department for Homeland Security is unable to account for more than a million foreigners who have overstayed their visas, Wiles predicted that immigration reform advocates would call for biometric scanning as a solution to this problem, which Adams declared would be an unmistakable sign of the End Times.

Then, for good measure, Adams returned to the issue of all those sneaky Muslims who are entering the United States as refugees "from Moozlum, Hindu, and Buddhist cultures [who] are not here because they love America but because they are fleeing countries, and yet, what kind of culture are they bringing here? They want sharia law, just like what they left that was causing them to be persecuted."

Because that makes perfect sense:

Adams: We have about 50,000 other than Mexicans who cross our border within one year. Those people that were apprehended were from countries like Indonesia, of course that a just very fierce fighting Islamic government. We have Pakistanis coming across, people from the Philippines, Somalia, Tunisia , Uzbekistan  ... we're going to be giving amnesty not just to poor Mexicans who are looking for jobs but we're giving amnesty, we're giving all of the American privileges to people who are not here with the best intentions for America.

We also have this issue of visas and we've lost, I think the latest nonsense I saw from the Homeland Security Department was something like a million people that have come here on visas that we have no idea where they are.

Wiles: Do you know where they're taking us with this? Because they said the solution to all these lost foreigners in the country, the solution is biometric scanning. That's where they're taking us Cathy.

Adams: I do understand that. I've seen it. I've heard it. And, of course, we know in biblical prophecy that that is the End Times. That is going to be the brand either on our foreheads or on the back of our hands.  That is demonic through and through.  That is End Times prophecy.  There is no question about that.

But, you know, another group of people that are coming into our country as refugees are others that are mostly from Moozlum, Hindu, and Buddhist cultures. There are people who are not here because they love America but because they are fleeing countries, and yet, what kind of culture are they bringing here? They want sharia law, just like what they left that was causing them to be persecuted.

Fischer: Gay Activists Should Support Russia's Anti-Gay Laws In The Name Of Diversity

The results are always interesting when Bryan Fischer thinks that he is being clever, as he was on his radio program yesterday when he spent a few minutes discussing Russia's recent ban on "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations around minors."

The discriminatory legislation has been met with outrage and protests around the world, but Fischer doesn't understand why since liberals and gay activists supposedly believe in diversity and, as such, they ought to be saying "hey, this is great!"

"We've got plenty of room in our multicultural world for all sorts of different cultural values and trends," Fischer mockingly proclaimed. "Isn't this wonderful what Russia is doing. Let's celebrate diversity and let's support this tradition in the nation of Russia":

Hagee: 'People Who Are Educated Cannot Look At Two Men Married And Say That That's Right'

Over the July 4 holiday weekend, Matthew Hagee delivered a sermon in which he attacked the Supreme Court over its DOMA ruling, outraged that, as a result, "newspapers carried cover pages with homosexual couples kissing on the front page, requiring parents to explain to their young children why two people would engage in such behavior."

Hagee went on to warn that there was an attempt underway to undermine faith, family, and education because people of faith know that Supreme Court rulings are only legitimate to the extent to which they agree with the Bible and because "people who are educated cannot look at two men married and say that that's right":

Beck: We Are On The Verge Of Taking Over The Republican Party

As Glenn Beck has been vacillating between mania and depression over the last several weeks, he has been working to encourage his audience to telling them that they will be the ones who will save America and they are on the cusp of winning, so long as they refuse to give up.

He sought to rally the troops again today on his radio broadcast, telling them that they are now on the verge of completely taking over the Republican Party.

"I don't think people realize," Beck said, "how close you are to winning. Don't you see, in six years we haven't [ever] been this close to taking over taking over the Republican Party ... The next election, you're there":

Fischer: 'I Have No Hesitation In Saying, Flat Out, President Obama Is Not A Patriot'

Some day, this country will again have a Republican president and when that happens, critics will say things about that president that the Religious Right will find offensive and outrageous and they will throw a fit that anyone would dare to ever show such disrespect to the President of the United States and the office of the presidency.

And on that day, we will just trot out videos of Bryan Fischer declaring that President Obama "has a visceral dislike of America" and wants to see it torn down and utterly destroyed.

"I have no hesitation in saying, flat out, President Obama is not a patriot," Fischer says, "he is not a patriotic American":

Glenn Beck Provides A History Lesson To Reza Aslan

On his television program last night, Glenn Beck dedicated his opening monologue to attacking and "exposing the truth" about Reza Aslan and his new book about Jesus.  Of course, in the end, Beck's exposé was reduced to nothing more than his standard boogeyman of progressivism, the Tides Foundation, and George Soros.

But in the middle of it all was a fascinating segment where Beck took Aslan to task for supposedly not even understanding the Bible or the Gospels. Seizing on a piece Aslan wrote for the Washington Post in which he stated that "the gospels are not, nor were they ever meant to be, a historical documentation of Jesus’ life. These are not eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ words and deeds," Beck smugly declared that "this claim is flat out false."

He then cited the first passage in the Book of Luke, which he apparently believes demonstrably proves Aslan to be wrong:

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Of course, this passage actually reinforces Aslan's point, as even the author of Luke is admitting that he has set out to write an account of event "just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses."  Luke is not an eyewitness account, as the very author admits; or as the "Introduction to the Gospel According to Luke" in the current ESV Study Bible put its: "It is known that the author was from the second generation of the early church, was not an 'eyewitness' of Jesus' ministry (Luke 1:2) and was a Gentile."

To make matters worse, Beck then bizarrely claimed that if a book like the Bible cannot be accurate, according to Aslan, because parts of it were written decades after the events they describe, then how could Aslan's book be trusted when it was written two thousand years after Jesus' death:

As we have said before, this is what happens when you learn your history from David Barton.

Fischer: 'We Shouldn't Operate In This Fantasy Land'

We know that when it comes to questions of science, Bryan Fischer is an authority who can fully be trusted because he has "an allegiance to science," which is why he doesn't believe in climate change or evolution and knows that Jesus holds the atomic nucleus together and that the Second Law of Thermodynamics was first mentioned in the Bible.

So it was no surprise to see him seize upon an op-ed in USA Today by a former president of the American Psychological Association claiming that "ex-gay" sexual reorientation therapy is not unethical to declare that anyone who thinks that gays are born that way is doing so "in defiance of science," adding that gay activists are "completely unhinged and unmoored" from reality.

"We shouldn't operate in this fantasy land, this make believe world where everything is fabricated and made up and there's no basis for it in reality" said Fischer ... the man who, just last week, recalled how he had once been targeted by a coven of local witches who had sent out a demonic spirit to attack him by grabbing his ankle while he slept:

Solomon: Atheist Chaplains Would Encourage Soldiers To Kill Themselves

An effort to create positions for atheist chaplains to serve in the military is one that is welcome by former Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt, who was the guest on the "Talk To Solomon" program recently to discuss the issue.

The whole thing really did not sit well with host Stan Solomon, who said that atheism is "basically sticking your head up your butt and wondering why it's dark" and said that being an atheist chaplain is like being "a sensitive cannibal who says grace before he chews your leg off."

After Klingenschmitt claimed there was no need for atheist chaplains in the military and the whole thing is really just a way to undermine the Christian chaplains and reduce our numbers," Solomon asserted that it was all a part of the effort to implement President Obama's health care policy by encouraging wounded soldiers to kill themselves.

"An atheist chaplain," Solomon declared, "would be the perfect vehicle for convincing wounded warriors that they should end their lives because there's nothing in the future and there's nothing now, so why not just save money and kill themselves":

Hagee: Rock Music Is 'Satanic Cyanide' That Should Be Taken Outside And Burned

It may be 2013, but that doesn't mean that Satan has updated his methods of corrupting America's youth, as John Hagee explained in his Sunday sermon this week in which he warned his congregation, yet again, that if they read Harry Potter books they are "opening the gates of your mind to the Prince of Darkness and he will invade, and once he's invited in, he doesn't go out until he is cast out."

Even more dangerous, Hagee warned, is that infernal rock and roll music, which "is nothing more than Satanic cyanide" that needs to be taken outside of the home and burned:

Fischer: Huma Abedin's 'Stated Purpose' Is To Destroy Western Civilization

On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer was discussing the on-going Anthony Weiner sexting scandal, which provided an opportunity for him to join the right-wing smear campaign against Weiner's wife, long-time Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, for supposedly being an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood intent on destroying America.

As a matter of fact, said Fischer, despite having no evidence whatsoever, Adedin's "stated goal" is to destroy this nation.

"Her goal in life as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood is to destroy Western Civilization," Fischer said. "She's the one that wants to be the next mayor's wife in the city of New York ... Huma Abedin, she wants to destroy Western Civilization. That is her stated purpose, that is her stated goal":

Beck Wants To Start A Campaign To Get Local Streets Named After Rush Limbaugh

Last night, Glenn Beck co-hosted his television program remotely from Salt Lake City, Utah, a city which has become the latest victim of the progressive effort to revise American history, all because it has a street named after labor organizer and civil rights activist Cesar Chavez.

"Now you tell me what Cesar Chavez Boulevard has to do with Salt Lake City," Beck fumed, as he called on Americans to join with him by vowing "not to take it sitting down" because his movement, he believes, is right on the verge of winning.

We have no idea what he was talking about, but apparently now Beck wants his audience to start campaigns to get their city councils to start naming the streets after George Washington, Thomas Jefferson ... and Rush Limbaugh:

"They are doing it to us," Beck said. "Make sure you are ramping it up in your town and putting those boulevards and those street names [in place]":

PFAWF: More Attention on Colorado Censorship Campaign

Last week, People For the American Way Foundation joined a campaign to fight book censorship in a Colorado school district. The censorship battle began when a group of parents launched a petition to keep Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye out of the Legacy High School curriculum. Legacy High student Bailey Cross started a counter-petition emphasizing the dangerous precedent that this censorship would set and encouraging the school district to keep the book on the approved reading list.

PFAW Foundation sent a letter to the Adams 12 Five Star School District Board of Education showing support for the student’s campaign and urging the district to reject the attempts at censorship.

The efforts of the Foundation were highlighted by the Denver Post yesterday. Staff writer Yesenia Robles wrote that the parents involved claim the book is “developmentally inappropriate” and should be kept out of the classroom.

People For the American Way Foundation disagrees. Robles reports,

"We do understand this book has themes and content that are really challenging, but that's why it should be taught," foundation spokesman Drew Courtney said. "An important role of classrooms is to help students and young adults deal with that, to have those conversations in an intelligent way in the classrooms. Offering an alternative assignment is appropriate, but banning a prize-winning novel isn't prudence. It's censorship."

Barton: Gay Activists Don't Want Equality, They Want To Be Dominant

The guest on "WallBuilders Live" today was Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel church in California who came on to warn the audience about SB 323, the "Youth Equality Act," which would require youth nonprofit organizations operating in the state to comply with California’s nondiscrimination laws.

That, of course, is an outrage to folks like David Barton, who warned that gay activists don't just want equality, they want to dominate and force everyone else to accept their views, which is something that Christians would never do:

Notice that this bill is pointed against quote 'discriminate against LGBT groups.' Now discriminate against now means, in California officials' views, to disagree with.  So it's not discriminate against, it's if you disagree with these groups, we're going to punish you for not having a government-approved view. This is what happens when [Christians] refuse to get involved and its now going to effect home-schoolers as well.

We often say let homosexuals have the right to marry, et cetera; no, no, no, it doesn't stop with that - a little leaven leavens the whole loaf - these guys are not wanting to be equal, they're wanting to be dominant.

And that's what we've seen across Europe, that's what we've seen everywhere else but we keep thing, well, we wouldn't do that if we were in charge, we wouldn't force our views on them. Great, but you're not in charge and you're not getting involved and you're not electing people.

Understanding History With Professor Glenn Beck

Earlier this month, Glenn Beck hosted a three-day long Independence Day celebration in Salt Lake City, Utah which culminated with his "Man In The Moon" performance, but the gathering's other main attraction was a "museum" that he and David Barton curated featuring artifacts from their respective collections, as well as several outside pieces.

While the museum was open to the general paying public, special VIP guests received guided tours personally led by Barton and Beck.

And what sort of things did these VIP guests learn from Beck's guided tour?

That all of human history is just cycle-upon-cycle of Satan trying to wipe out God's chosen people in order to ultimately destroy God:
