Rios and Gaffney Approve Egypt Massacre, Oppose First Amendment Rights for Muslims

Sandy Rios of the American Family Association today said she is “very grateful” for the action taken by the Egyptian military against the Muslim Brotherhood, including the massacre that left over 600 people in Egypt dead, and added that she also believes Muslims should not have First Amendment rights in the United States.

She denounced Muslim-Americans for “claiming our First Amendment rights here when Islam is much more than a religion” and said Islam should not be treated like Christianity, Buddhism or Hindusm. “It is a complete and total system that demands usurpation of whatever the local authority is, it demands to dominate, it demands to conquer, to kill or convert,” Rios charged.

The talk show host added that the massacre victims weren’t “innocent” and that she is “applauding” their actions against the Brotherhood.

Yesterday, Frank Gaffney—who also backs restrictions on First Amendment rights for Muslims—told Rios that “this bloodshed was probably necessary to give Egypt a chance for a better future.”

Anti-Muslim blogger Pamela Geller also added her two cents:

The Egyptian government had to clean out the Muslim Brotherhood’s terror camps -- there were independent entities preparing for civil war where people were being tortured and murdered. Obama was wrong to criticize the Egyptian government while expressing no solidarity with the soldiers and police officers who were brutally murdered by the Muslim Brotherhood. Did anyone think the global jihadist Muslim Brotherhood was going to go quietly?

Wiles: Obama, McCain and Graham Transforming US 'Into an Islamic Bastion'

Erick Stakelbeck of the Christian Broadcasting Network joined fellow conspiracy theorist Rick Wiles yesterday, where they wondered why John McCain and Lindsey Graham have “sided” with the Muslim Brotherhood. Wiles said that they are “carrying out the instructions of their master,” and like President Obama, “are in the pockets of radical Muslims.”

“This country is being converted while we watch into an Islamic bastion,” the TruNews host warned, “it’s frightening.”

Klingenschmitt: Obama Creating Atheist Military to Attack Christians

Once again warning of imminent “government persecution” of Christians, “Dr. Chaps” Gordon Klingenschmitt told Dove TV that the Obama administration is bent on driving Christians out of the Armed Forces in order to create an all-atheist military.

The “atheist left,” Klingenschmitt claims, wants to “get rid of all the Christians in the military so they can take over. Now we see the Obama administration is stockpiling armored personnel carriers, and the Department of Homeland Security [has] billions of rounds of ammunition; who are they going to use that against? If there’s no Christians serving in the government, eventually that is all going to be turned against us.”

“Don’t think that can’t happen,” he cautioned, telling Christians to expect increasing “persecution.”

Pratt: 'Racist' Holder Wants to Keep White People From Defending Selves Against 'Black Mobs'

Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt has been one of the most outspoken proponents of the popular right-wing theory that Trayvon Martin’s murder and the subsequent police inaction had nothing to do with race and that President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and others are the real racists for daring to talk about racial bias in the criminal justice system.

Pratt brought his argument today to the sympathetic audience of American Family Radio’s Tim Wildmon and Jim Stanley, telling them up front that “Holder is a racist.”

In fact, Pratt tells them, Holder is considering civil rights charges against George Zimmerman in order to “intimidate the rest of the country so that we don’t think about defending ourselves” against “attacks by black mobs on white individuals.”

He cites, of course, the phony scandal surrounding two members of the New Black Panther Party who stood briefly in front of a heavily-Democratic polling place in Philadelphia during the 2008 election – the Justice Department eventually dropped charges against the unarmed member of the pair, provoking a Fox News-driven storm of outrage. Holder later told members of Congress that the phony outrage and comparisons of the Philadelphia incident to systematic voter intimidation and suppression in the Jim Crow South did “a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line for my people.”

Pratt, of course, takes Holder’s “my people” quote unrecognizably out of context in order to suggest that the attorney general doesn’t “belong in this country” and should move to Cuba:

Will Immigration Reform Open the Door to Putin's Gay Spies and Nuclear Weapon Smuggling?

TruNews host Rick Wiles, who is determined to stop demonic immigration reform efforts, spoke with Bob Trent of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Agents yesterday about the grave implications of the Senate immigration bill.

Wiles told Trent that he specifically fears that Russian president Vladimir Putin will send spies posing as gay refugees to America: “If Mr. Putin wanted to get spies into this country, all he has to do is send them here and tell them to say that they are gay and they’re fleeing homophobia in Russia. They’re going to be granted immediate asylum.”

The End Times broadcaster also described a conversation with Stanislav Lunev, who told him that the Russians made plans in the 1970s to “employ an illegal immigrant” to smuggle nuclear suitcase bombs into the US.

Jesse Lee Peterson: Pull Kids Out of California Schools to Protest Transgender Students

Jesse Lee Peterson is calling on California parents to withdraw their “normal children” from public schools to protest a new education law protecting the rights of transgender students. Peterson, a California-based Tea Party and anti-immigrant activist, says in a press release today that “decent parents” should “boycott and pull their kids out” of school so they do “not have to endure this type of confusion and psychological trauma” and “indoctrination.”

“This is an outrage and an attack on the conscience of impressionable children and their parents,” said Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND (Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny). “Parents who have the misfortune of having their kids in California public schools should boycott and pull their kids out. Normal children should not have to endure this type of confusion and psychological trauma.”

“Shame of Jerry Brown and California Democrats!” said Rev. Peterson. “AB 1266 will not stop bullying. It will subject these transgender students to more ridicule in locker rooms and bring on lawsuits. Governor Brown signed this bill on the first day of school knowing that decent parents who object to this type of indoctrination would be left with few options. It’s time to stop social experimenting on children—and it’s time to exit failing public schools!”

Scarborough: Obama's Condemnation of Russian Anti-Gay Law 'Puts Our Country in a Very Precarious Place'

Rick Scarborough hosted Kris Mineau, who leads the Massachusetts Family Institute, on a Tea Party Unity conference call today to discuss his fight against LGBT rights efforts in the Bay State. Mineau told listeners to worry about the State Department’s “worldwide advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights” and understand the true meaning of President Obama’s statement that Russia’s ban on pro-gay rights speech violates “basic morality.”

According to Mineau, Obama’s opposition to the Russian law means that “if you or I oppose same-sex marriage, we are immoral.” Scarborough, meanwhile, added that “what the President is now saying is that God’s word is a direct assault on people—the lesbian and gay community—that God’s word is clearly wrong and that puts our country in a very precarious place.”

Klayman: NSA Surveillance Meant to Oppress White People and Make Them Pay Reparations

In a very reasonable and rational column titled “Obama’s Mein Kampf,” Larry Klayman insists that the “Muslim megalomaniac” and “neo-national socialist Fuhrer” Obama is “taking a page from Hitler” with regards to the NSA surveillance program.

He asserts that President Obama’s press conference on the NSA was an attempt to “fool the citizenry” and hide the truth that “at the heart of NSA-gate; a means to keep whitey and whitey’s allies down as Obama dismantles and deconstructs the nation by having them pay their ‘fair share’ in reparations.”

Having been caught with his hand in the NSA cookie jar, the "spymaster in chief," Barack Hussein Obama, shamelessly and deceitfully used his press conference of last Friday to effectively appear to embrace the so-called leaks of whistleblower Edward Snowden – who he obviously would like to see disappear – and conjure up what is not only an opportunistic but also a faux review of the spook agency's surveillance on over 300 million Americans.

And, after having committed a number of "phony scandals" from Fast and Furious, to Benghazi-gate, to Navy SEAL-gate, to IRS-gate, to Birth Certificate/Eligibility-gate, to now NSA-gate, all of a sudden the neo-national socialist Führer develops a newfound appreciation for the rule of law and respect for our Constitution. How convenient given the boiling caldron of criticism, even from some elements of the left, that Obama now finds himself. In effect, Obama's subterfuge is nothing more than a clever ruse, taking a page from Hitler prior to his rise to power, to fool the citizenry that it is safe at the hands of his corrupt administration.

Indeed, during the Clinton years, while Bill and Hillary vociferously disclaimed any role in the deaths of more than 80 key witnesses and others with some involvement in their myriad of scandals, they were happy to have their henchmen leave a list of these dead persons on the office chairs of inconveniently "alive" witnesses like Linda Tripp and other White House whistleblowers, who had the goods on their various crimes. On a smaller scale than Obama's unbridled massive abuse of government power, this was a not-too-subtle attempt to intimidate and silence them from spilling the beans and providing evidence to send the Clintons to prison, which is where they belong. Outrageously, today, 13 years since the Clintons left the White House, we, the more than 300 million Americans whose confidential communications have been violated by this Muslim megalomaniac, are now the hands-on witnesses of Obama's attempt to rule and transform the nation as he alone sees fit – by fear. And, we, the American people, are in danger.

But despite last Friday's dog-and-pony show, We the People increasingly can no longer be fooled.

A growing number of patriots – white and black – people of faith, Christians, Jews and concerned citizens are in the process of waking up from their long slumber of the last five years in particular. We are no longer willing to be made to feel ashamed of our heritage and who we are and are thus losing our sense of guilt that Obama and his ilk have tried to instill upon us, and are preparing to legally fight back.

In this regard, perhaps it was Obama's bigoted remarks after the George Zimmerman trial – where he effectively rejected the jury's verdict of not guilty with a statement that he could have been Trayvon Martin 35 years ago – that truly unmasked his hateful intentions to make "whitey" and the others pay back "his people" for prior discrimination. And, indeed, this is what is at the heart of NSA-gate; a means to keep whitey and whitey's allies down as Obama dismantles and deconstructs the nation by having them pay their "fair share" in reparations.

Given these stakes and Obama's master plan, it is no wonder that the privacy and intimate communications of all of us are now in government hands. Obama and his comrades have made it clear that if we object to and fight against his agenda, we will then pay the price, no matter what disingenuous and deceptive propaganda he attempts to spew to the contrary to lull us again into submission.

Erik Rush: Obama and Oprah Will Use 'The Butler' To Stoke Anti-White Violence

After appearing on Fox News’ Hannity last night, Erik Rush published a column on WorldNetDaily today predicting that President Obama will use the new movie about an African American White House butler, along with other efforts “to rile black Americans,” to provoke a race war against whites.

Rush claims that “The Butler,” which stars Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey, is part of a plan “to initiate widespread civil unrest at the president’s push of a button” and add to the “instances of black-on-white violent crime since Obama came into office.”

Winfrey is promoting a new film, “The Butler,” which chronicles a black butler’s years of service in the White House during the Civil Rights Movement. While the subject matter should make for interesting fare, given Winfrey’s sensibilities and associates (like the Obamas, for example) there is little doubt that the film will be used in the ongoing effort to rile black Americans. As I’ve said in the past, racial tension is one of the many circuits the administration has constructed that, when completed, may be used to initiate widespread civil unrest at the president’s push of a button.

There have been quite a few instances of black-on-white violent crime since Obama came into office; these have gone largely unreported by the establishment press for reasons that should be obvious. The point is that some blacks have become sufficiently motivated to perpetrate these crimes, and it is all – all – due to the lies into which they have subscribed.

All of this culminates in successful blacks like Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, Jay-Z and the perennially brainless Kanye West being able to carp about rampant institutional racism in America and not get laughed into the adjoining star system. Rather, their rhetorical idiocy is eagerly digested by millions (here, it actually is millions) of black Americans, and those who attempt to enlighten or defend blacks’ humanity are branded as racists.

There is, of course, a certain irony in the fact that President Obama’s ethnicity is the only thing that has allowed him to get away with a myriad of high crimes and misdemeanors. Even with the countenance of the press, any of our previous chief executives, having committed the same offenses and executed similar policies, would have run so far afoul of the people and other elected officials to warrant removal with all due speed.

Joseph Farah Blames Florida Facebook Murder on Liberals, of Course

WorldNetDaily founder Joseph Farah dedicates his column today to the Florida man who allegedly killed his wife and then posted a picture of her dead body on Facebook, which Farah of course argues is all the fault of liberals. Farah writes that the murder, which was all over the news, was in fact “not even news” because, in the words of Farah’s brother David, “our politically correctly liberal culture is condoning and glorifying all of this and calling it ‘tolerance.’”

The argument is hard to summarize because it makes no sense, so we’ll let the Farah brothers take it from here:

“On his Facebook page, Medina claimed to be a supervisor at a property management company and to have appeared in the Miami-based crime drama ‘Burn Notice,’ though his name doesn’t appear in online credits for the show. But he’s out there bragging: ‘I was on TV! I was on “Burn Notice”! I killed my wife; I put it on Facebook! Hey, Facebook friends, I’ll he see you later! You’ll be seeing a lot of me!’ My brother, David, sent me a note. He says, ‘You’re right about one thing, wrong about the other. We’re experiencing no greater depravity today than ever. It’s the same, because human nature is human nature.’

“Then he said, ‘I think there is a striking difference now in America, in that our politically correctly liberal culture is condoning and glorifying all of this and calling it ‘tolerance,’ and you know, that is right. That sort of rings the bell for me. That’s what it is. It’s not that it’s happening; it’s always happened, this kind of depravity. ‘There’s nothing new since Genesis.’ You’ve heard the old thing. What is bothering me is that it doesn’t bother as many people.

“It’s [Daniel Patrick] Moynihan, the ‘defining deviancy down’ business, and we end up condoning this stuff – and if we don’t condone it, we glorify it, because the left wants to take every one of these acts of depravity and use it to advance their agenda or an element of their agenda, such as guns or what have you. ‘We have to understand the rage,’ it’s said. ‘We have to be tolerant of people who have come from unfortunate, low-class socioeconomic circumstances.’

“It’s called tolerance and acceptance and understanding, rather than some of this stuff being condemned and dealt with, and that’s what’s disturbing. Then you add to it that the secular left, the people that traffic and love immortality, love throwing standards out the window; they don’t want any standards. That’s exactly what it is. It is the lack of being shocked, lack of revulsion, and even the laughing at and acceptance of this stuff. ”

Rush used the word “depraved.” He also described the news item as an example of the way “the descent our culture is taking [us] toward the sewer.” All of this is very accurate.

But we should recognize it for what it is: “The descent into depravity.” Of course ugly, sinful, immoral and repugnant behavior has been going on since Genesis. But today, it’s normal. It’s not even news.

And that’s how a nation, a culture, a society descends into depravity.

Russian Lawmaker Who Authored 'Homosexual Propaganda' Bill Now Wants To Investigate Critics

Yelena Mizulina, the Russian lawmaker described as “Vladimir Putin’s new morality crusader” and co-author of the country’s new “homosexual propaganda” ban hailed by Religious Right activists in the US, is now going after opponents of her policies.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports that Mizulina is having authorities question journalists, politicians and comedians who criticized her ultraconservative laws. One politician said he was quizzed about the details of “Mizulina’s gay-oral phobias” and RFE/RL’s Dmitry Volchek writes that the “news agency Rosbalt says investigators asked for the names of journalists who have written about Mizulina.”

An online petition, noting Mizulina’s aggressive anti-gay activism and attempt to ban swear words on the internet, requests that the health ministry “check the mental health” of Mizulina to determine if she is fit to serve in the Duma.

The barrage of caustic jokes it has generated on the Internet has riled Mizulina, who now accuses several journalists and public figures of defaming her by claiming she is bent on eradicating oral sex in Russia.

Socialite and opposition activist Ksenia Sobchak, who was interrogated last week after making such a claim on Twitter, says investigators repeatedly asked her why she thought Mizulina held such views.

Journalists Yelena Kostyuchenko and Olga Bakushinskaya, as well as former Deputy Prime Minister Alfred Kokh, have also been questioned.

"Two lieutenant colonels from the Russian Investigative Committee clarified for three hours details about Mizulina's gay-oral phobias and my own relation to this," Kokh wrote on his blog.

Sobchak said a dozen people are on what she branded the "Mizulina List."

Insulting an official is an offense in Russia that carries fines of up to 40,000 rubles ($1,200) and up to one year of community service. Libel is punishable by a fine of up to 1 million rubles ($30,000).

Internet users accuse the authorities of seeking to silence one of the last arenas of free speech in Russia.

The news agency Rosbalt says investigators asked for the names of journalists who have written about Mizulina and denounced the request as the first "attempt by a Duma deputy to interfere in the agency's editorial policies" in its 12-year existence. An online petition launched by stand-up comedian Yury Khovansky, who is calling for the lawmaker to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, has already gathered more than 60,000 signatures.

If signed by 100,000 people, the petition will be submitted to the State Duma.

"What she is doing, and this 'Mizulina List,' is an unprecedented threat to freedom of speech," Khovansky says. "If people are now prosecuted and fined for expressing their opinion on the actions of officials -- who are actually elected by the people -- you can just imagine what will happen to media freedom and openness more generally."

Mizulina, whom detractors have nicknamed "The Inquisitor," has tirelessly warned against Russia's moral and demographic decline. She and her committee have penned a string of initiatives aimed at instilling traditional values in Russians, including a ban on cursing and a tax on divorce.

Jesse Lee Peterson: The Civil Rights Act Didn't Do Enough To Protect White People

African-American conservative activist Jesse Lee Peterson has become a darling of the Tea Party, most recently serving as a featured speaker at an anti-immigrant rally in DC last month. Peterson offers up far-right commentary on issues from gay marriage to immigration, but his specialty is insisting to mostly-white crowds that racism against people of color no longer exists and that African Americans in general, and President Obama in particular, are the real racists.

In a long interview with the Los Angeles Times today, Peterson goes into detail about what he sees as the scourge of “black racism,” kicking off the conversation by insisting “most black Americans are suffering not because of racism but lack of moral character” and going from there.

The problem with the Civil Rights Act of 1965, Peterson tells the Times, is that it didn’t “protect white folks” against “black racism”: “If they had just changed it so the same laws that protected white folks would protect black people and left us alone, things would be much better today.”

“Not all but most black people are so racist toward white people,” he added.

Asked about racist attacks on President Obama – like images of the president growing watermelons on the White House lawn  — Peterson replied, “If they're just doing it to have some fun, I don't see anything wrong with it….It's known that — not all — but black people love watermelons. It's not a put-down. “

Growing up you worked the same land where your ancestors were once enslaved. Didn't you experience racism there?

I did — colored-only signs, white-only signs. In the movie theater, blacks had to sit in the balcony. I was fine with that because we had a better view! I saw they were wrong, but we were taught not to hate. And we knew white people who weren't doing those things.

Now, not all but most black people are so racist toward white people. And white Americans are afraid if they say the wrong thing, they'll be accused of being racist.

The founding documents of this country didn't consider you or me to be fully legal beings.

At one point there was definitely racism from white America, but that started to change over the last 40 or 50 years. White people realized, yeah, this did exist, we're sorry, we're going to [institute] stuff to help blacks get themselves together. They passed laws against white racism, but the problem is they have not had an honest dialogue about black racism.

Wasn't the Civil Rights Act the right thing to do?

If they had just changed it so the same laws that protected white folks would protect black people and left us alone, things would be much better today. Change the law, then get out of the way of people coming together.

What do you think of President Obama?

I think he's the worst thing to ever happen to this country. He doesn't care about black people. He's selling them out for Hispanic votes. He cares more about homosexuals than he does about blacks. In healthcare and education — illegals have overpopulated public schools in South Central, and blacks are feeling pushed aside. They voted for Obama thinking he would be for them, and he's not.

The Internet is full of stuff about Obama growing watermelons on the White House lawn, or Michelle Obama posing for National Geographic. Isn't that racist?

It depends on the heart of the person doing it. If they're just doing it to have some fun, I don't see anything wrong with it. They did the same thing to Bush.

They didn't make fun of him because of his race.

They aren't making fun of Barack for being black either. It's known that — not all — but black people love watermelons. It's not a put-down. [Although] I'm sure you can find racists like the KKK who hate black people and will use something like that.

Elsewhere in the interview, Peterson addresses marriage equality (“Homosexuality is not about love or family or civil rights; it's about sex”) and his efforts at reparative therapy (“If they were to forgive their parents, then God will forgive them and remove that identity from them and they will be free”).

You endorse marriage. Gays have fought for marriage.

Same-sex marriage doesn't exist; there's no such thing in God's eyes. So-called same-sex marriage would destabilize society. Homosexuality is not about love or family or civil rights; it's about sex.

What do you say to gay people you counsel?

I tell them they were not born that way, that a spirit has made a home inside of them that came from some sort of trauma — maybe they were molested at an early age or had angry parents — and that if they were to forgive their parents, then God will forgive them and remove that identity from them and they will be free.

Sandy Rios Fears Food Stamps Will Aid Islamists and Palestinian Refugees Obama Didn't Resettle Here

American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios, like her colleague Bryan Fischer, enjoys repeating right-wing material — often based on email chains — as absolute fact without any evidence. Rios, who has previously repeated the widely debunked rumor (which probably originated from this chain email) that Obamacare has a specific exemption for Muslim-Americans, on her radio program today asserted that President Obama kicked off his first term as President by resettling thousands of Palestinian refugees in the U.S.

She made the false claim while criticizing the Michigan Department of Human Services for having an Arabic-language food assistance application and help-line. Rios also warned that Michigan is “brimming with Islamists”:

You may remember that President Obama ordered the resettling of thousands of Palestinians right after he became president, he brought them over at our expense and I don’t know if they all went to Michigan but tons of them did. Of course before that Michigan, certainly the Detroit area is just brimming with Islamists; it’s pretty frightening actually. I think it is frightening because they are Islamists and they are in the heart of our country, and now they are qualified for food stamps as well. We know that in Michigan, Muslim men have multiple wives even though we don’t allow that in this country. They do still practice it so they go in and sign up for food assistance…. Is Arabic going to be the new language—how many languages are we going to have that are going to be officially acknowledged in America?

Of course, her assertion about Obama resettling thousands of Palestinians was based on a discredited chain email.

As both FactCheck.org and Snopes.com point out, Obama—like President George W. Bush before him—did authorize funding to help Palestinian refugees, but not to resettle them in the United States. The money would go to groups providing emergency food, medical and housing aid, but did not include provisions on migration or resettlement. In fact, the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, which was in charge of the money, told FactCheck.org, “We don’t resettle out of the West Bank and Gaza, full stop.”

Since Michigan has close to 200,000 Arab-American residents [PDF], it isn’t unreasonable that the state has an Arabic-language food assistance form.

The majority of Arab-Americans are Christian, but of course the facts wouldn’t stop Rios from using the first myth about mass-resettlement of Palestinians to create a second conspiracy theory: that Obama is now giving food stamps to radical, polygamous Islamists.

Swanson and Buehner React to Calls for Tolerance: Pope's Clothes 'Gay,' Desmond Tutu 'Hates Jesus'

Last week, Kevin Swanson and Dave Buehner of Generations Radio finally got wind of the pope’s declaration that he won’t “judge” gay priests and Bishop Desmond Tutu’s remarks that he would rather go to hell than “a homophobic heaven.”

Naturally, the two were outraged. Reacting to the pope’s comments, Swanson lamented, “’Gay’ used to mean happy – you know, blessed, happy, rejoicing, rejoicing in the lord – not sort of lustful, licentious, focused on decadent sexuality.”

To which Buehner replied with what he himself described as “a low blow.”

“You know the song, ‘Deck the halls with boughs of holly’?  You know that line, ‘Don we now our gay apparel’? Have you seen the pope’s dress?”

Later in the program, the two discussed Bishop Tutu’s support for gay rights, which Buehner said indicates that “Desmond Tutu probably doesn’t like Jesus very much, in fact he hates Jesus.”

“However,” Buehner added, referring to the famous Christ the Redeemer statue that towers over Rio de Janeiro, “He’s probably good with Jesús, the drug lord from Bolivia, or the big drug lord from Rio De Janeiro that’s got his hands out, remember that guy?”

Dacus: 'Hideous' Transgender Students Law Will Leave 'Many Casualties'

Outraged by California’s new law protecting transgender students, the Pacific Justice Institute has launched a campaign called “Gender Insanity: The Next Attack On Your Family.”

The California-based Religious Right group’s head Brad Dacus spoke to Jim Schneider of VCY America yesterday on Crosstalk, where he described their campaign against the “hideous, unbelievable [and] unthinkable” education law, which he says “turns the concept of decency, respect and privacy on its head.”

Later in the program, Dacus said there will be “many casualties,” including “mental, emotional and psychiatric casualties.” “A lot of young, very fragile, emotionally fragile boys and girls are going to be paying the price for the rest of their lives,” Dacus continued, attacking LGBT rights advocates for “putting [children’s] welfare second to their political agenda.”

Hutcherson: 'Homosexual Lobby' Is Trying 'To Turn Dr. King into a Queen'

Religious Right and ex-gay groups are up in arms that Washington D.C. mayor Vincent Gray revoked an invitation to gospel singer Donnie McClurkin, who claims that he was “delivered” from homosexuality, to perform at an event commemorating the “March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.” McClurkin has called homosexuality a “perversion” and a “curse,” scolded “evil young hard butch girls,” and described gay men as “vampires” and “vultures” who “prey” on children.

McClurkin and his defenders claim that his heterosexualization, not his anti-gay remarks, got him booted from the event. The ex-gay group PFOX hailed McClurkin as a victim of anti-ex-gay discrimination. “Gays have more power than blacks in [Washington D.C.],” PFOX charged. “As shown with Donnie McClurkin, ex-gays are the most powerless and discriminated against minority in America today.”

Pastor Ken Hutcherson in WorldNetDaily even argued that if “it were up to Mayor Gray, Dr. King wouldn’t even be invited to this event.”

“Unless you’re living a homosexual lifestyle yourself, you aren’t important anymore,” Hutcherson writes. “Maybe Mayor Gray is too spineless to stand up to a homosexual lobby that limits free speech, bullies straights and tries everything it can to turn Dr. King into a queen.”

Of course, the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom was organized by a gay man.

Apparently the mayor of Washington, D.C., Vincent Gray, has forgotten his city’s history. When Gray was 20 years old, a Baptist minister by the name of Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial before 250,000 people and delivered what is considered by many to be the most eloquent speech in our nation’s history. The message by this gifted orator was simple: He had a dream. And that dream was the insatiable hope that one day people would learn to look past a person’s skin color and see them for who they were on the inside.

But now that dream has been elasticized. It’s been rewritten and modified. That dream is no longer about ethnic equality; it’s broadened to include anything from sexual orientation to fighting for the rights of illegal immigrants. In short, King’s speech apparently had a few extra pages that he was even unaware of.

You see, in the politically correct times in which we live, sexual orientation trumps everything.

My fellow brothers and sisters with darker pigmentation, please hear me carefully. We are no longer a minority. The liberals have no use for us because they know most of us will pull the electoral lever for them every time. We are taken for granted. Unless you’re living a homosexual lifestyle yourself, you aren’t important anymore. Mayor Gray’s decision to ban a black gospel singer proves that civil rights have turned uncivilized. Let’s be honest: If it were up to Mayor Gray, Dr. King wouldn’t even be invited to this event.

Is this the new face of the black community? Is gray the new black?

Look, maybe Mayor Gray is senile and his memory has faded in the past 50 years. Maybe he’s had a lot on his mind because he’s under investigation for a campaign finance scandal. Heck, maybe the mayor is on the down-low himself. Or maybe the ban on McClurkin is simpler than all of those things: Maybe Mayor Gray is too spineless to stand up to a homosexual lobby that limits free speech, bullies straights and tries everything it can to turn Dr. King into a queen.

Harvey: LGBT Rights Leads to the 'Oppression' of Parents

Linda Harvey of Mission America is furious about the United Nations Human Rights Office’s Free and Equal initiative, warning that it will contribute to the “oppression” of parents and curtail the freedom of speech. She described the campaign, which promotes legal protections based on gender identity and sexual orientation, as “deceptive” since universal rights do not “apply to harmful, high risk, sexual conduct that no one needs to do.”

“No one, if these people have their way, would have the actual universal human right to live out a religious belief that upholds man-woman sexuality within marriage as the standard and all other sexual practices as sinful,” Harvey continued, alleging that the campaign is focused on “denying free speech and other rights, including forcing the indoctrination of children into accepting homosexuality whether their parents like it or not.”

She maintained that the “incidences of oppression and discrimination” by LGBT rights advocates “against people of faith and against parents are piling up.”

Crouse: Obamacare Will 'Destroy Marriage'

In her latest column for the American Thinker, Concerned Women for America’s Janice Shaw Crouse repeats the claim of "newly conservative lesbian" blogger Cynthia Yockley that the Affordable Care Act will “destroy marriage for the middle class the same way that the Great Society welfare state destroyed the black family.”

Crouse bases this accusation on a bogus GOP talking point about the health care law’s supposed “marriage penalty” (if you care to read a full debunking, Igor Volsky has one here). This is all, Crouse alleges, a nefarious plot for “promoting single motherhood and discouraging marriage” in order to increase the number of single women, who tend to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats.

But it’s not only the health care law: Crouse repeats her frequent allegations that anti-poverty programs such as food stamps and the Earned Income Tax Credit are also deliberate attempts to “encourage individuals to reject marriage.”

Worse, we are discovering that ObamaCare really will "destroy marriage for the middle class the same way that the Great Society welfare state destroyed the black family -- with financial incentives for staying single." ObamaCare's marriage penalty could possibly cost couples over $10,000 a year. This intentional disparity means that U.S. government policy will encourage singleness and create increased disincentives for marriage. Single individuals will have an advantage with the earned income tax credit as well as welfare benefits, including food stamps. This comes as no surprise, of course, because "making the subsidies neutral towards marriage would lead to a married couple with only one bread-winner getting a more generous subsidy than a single parent at the same income-level."

With ObamaCare ramping up subsidies promoting single motherhood and discouraging marriage, an increase in poverty is inevitable -- along with dramatic increases in entitlements and dramatic tax hikes to pay for the increased entitlements. These increases are just one more of the numerous financial incentives in current government policy that increasingly encourage individuals to reject marriage -- the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), housing subsidies, food stamps, child support payments, and the welfare dependency programs that created and sustained the inner city matriarchal culture. These perks are costing American taxpayers trillions of dollars a year. Current welfare programs total close to $1 trillion a year (twice as much as national defense and nearly the size of the federal deficit); ObamaCare is projected to add another $2.5 trillion after all its provisions take effect. There's no end in sight to the increasing costs of these entitlements.

Politically, the "marriage penalty" is also a Democratic vote-getting initiative -- 70 percent of unmarried women voted for President Obama in the 2008 election. Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, a liberal firm that consults for clients such as Bill Clinton and John Kerry, said: "Unmarried women represent one of the most reliable Democratic cohorts in the electorate ... leading the charge for fundamental change in health care."

Huckabee and Nugent Joke about Hunting Democrats

Mike Huckabee invited NRA board member Ted Nugent onto his radio show today where they kicked off the interview by discussing Nugent’s “mystical, wonderful hunting dog” Gonzo.

“Maybe we ought to turn him loose on some Democrats and see if he can hunt them too,” Huckabee joked, to which Nugent replied: “There’s a lot of varmints out there and I think he would do good pointing [out] varmints and then we can vote them out of office.”
