American Decency Association: 'God's Wrath' Coming to America Because TV Shows 'Shove Homosexuality Down Our Throats'

Bill Johnson of the American Decency Association apparently was surprised by the pushback his group received after the ADA attacked Magic Johnson for showing support for his openly gay son, and the watchdog group is, naturally, blaming the media.

“We once were a people largely united under what was right and what was wrong,” but then, Johnson claims, “Network television began to shove homosexuality down our throats.”

Johnson concludes that “America is deserving of God’s wrath” as a result of the media’s alleged promotion of gay people’s “destructive lifestyle.”

God blesses a nation whose God is the Lord. As we Americans turn our back upon the Lord, deny and mock His Word, and blaspheme His Holy Name, we set ourselves up for judgment.

Many astute believers state that America is already experiencing the judgment of God; that God has removed His hand of protection from America.

It is difficult to ignore this as a reality. America is deserving of God’s wrath.

We once were a people largely united under what was right and what was wrong. It was a nation under God.

However, there has been a RELENTLESS attack upon God and upon godliness. The evidences of the spiritual/moral slide has been lengthy and increasingly the “chickens have come home to roost.”

Americans love their televisions, stories and sitcoms and with the passing years knowing the difference between right and wrong has eroded through the concerted campaign of Hollywood.

Network television began to shove homosexuality down our throats years ago: America’s most powerful influence makers have intensified their public relations blitz aimed at convincing Americans that homosexual behavior is normal and more specifically, that homosexual “marriage” should be legalized.

In the book of Judges, Israel turned their backs upon God. Every man did what was right in his own eyes. To get man’s attention, God allowed the natural consequences of godlessness to have its way. Godlessness includes homosexuality, same-sex marriage, abortion, adultery, premarital sex, polygamy, pedophilia, … the list goes on and on.

Yet Magic Johnson, whose illicit sexual lifestyle resulted in his HIV status, is “proud” of his son for choosing an equally destructive lifestyle. Sin degrades, addicts, devastates, divides, destroys and is judged and will be ultimately be judged by a Holy God when we go before him when our life here comes to an end.

Network television and cable TV will trumpet, promote, propagandize and bully their way by continuing to spend billions of dollars to fool a godless generation. Untold numbers will be duped and will follow darkness rather than follow the light.

American Decency Association: Magic Johnson Should Be Ashamed of His Gay Son

Bill Johnson of the anti-gay American Decency Association is angry that Magic Johnson has shown his openly gay son love and support rather than condemnation.

“Would you be proud to hear that your loved one had chosen a life that God calls an abomination?,” Johnson writes, “Maybe if you yourself had lived a life of reprobation – and yourself had lost the ability to think and act morally any longer.”

Johnson goes on to say that gay rights will lead to the acceptance of “pedophilia” and “beastiality [sic]” and called homosexuality a “sin which degrades, addicts, destroys.”

Would you be proud to hear that your loved one had chosen a life that God calls an abomination? Maybe if you yourself had lived a life of reprobation – and yourself had lost the ability to think and act morally any longer.

If Magic Johnson says he’s proud of his son for being a homosexual does his statement make it right in your heart and mind?

For those who say there is no God, it’s fine to screw around, play around, commit adultery, engage in homosexuality. There is no right or wrong so do what’s right in your own eyes; do what comes “naturally.” And if what you want to do isn’t considered politically correct today, just wait awhile then it will be okay in the near future. Polygamy? Pedophilia? Same-sex marriage? Beastiality [sic]?

For those who say there is a God, they believe there is a God in Heaven who created man and woman and who created all things. They also believe there is TRUTH - that there is such a thing as right and wrong; that life is precious; that the chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.

Therefore, God’s warnings in His word are reasonable and wise. God made us and He knows what’s best. He gives strong warnings regarding illicit sex: pre-marital sex, promiscuity, adultery, homosexuality, polygamy.

Why? Because He loves His people and doesn’t want His people to be damaged and to damage other people through that sin which degrades, addicts, destroys.

And the sin of homosexuality DOES damage! You could provide your accounts as well – multiple , multiple accounts but somehow we seldom to never hear these accounts. Do you? We just see Magic Johnson types with their “warm smiles” saying all is well and I’m proud. GAY PRIDE.

Other societies have turned their backs upon God. That’s what America is doing - substituting the truth for a lie.

In closing, I live in the real world. I have had loved ones break my heart. I have deeply disappointed my own parents – nearly broken their hearts.

I have been loved, even when I have done wrong. I have and I will do the same. But I will never say that I am proud of an act or a behavior that dishonors God and degrades His people.

American Decency Association: 'Glee Is Poisoning Our Youth'

The American Decency Association is once again calling on advertisers to pull their support from Glee, warning that the show is “poisoning our youth” with its “destructive messages.”

In a radio alert, ADA founder Bill Johnson alleged that Glee is “a gruel of illicit sexuality, secular humanist ideology, and the promotion of homosexuality and deviant behavior.”

Whose values will your children and grandchildren catch? If they’re watching “Glee,” there’s a good chance that they’re reeling in values antithetical to yours.

Each week “Glee” producer Ryan Murphy stirs together a gruel of illicit sexuality, secular humanist ideology, and the promotion of homosexuality and deviant behavior - and then spoon feeds it to millions of youth across the nation.

And, sadly, many parents are just sitting back in their La-Z-boys while this proverbial poison is swallowed by their children.

Even the liberal MSN recently referred to Glee as “overtly politically correct and borderline preachy…the series has turned itself into one giant public service announcement” for sexual promiscuity and deviancy.

Will Calvin College Play Host to Fake Ex-Terrorist Kamal Saleem…Again?

UPDATE: It appears that Calvin College will no longer be hosting the event.

The American Decency Association plans to host Kamal Saleem, who claims to be a former terrorist, at Calvin College as part of a tour of Michigan. Saleem’s story of working as a terrorist all over the globe has been thoroughly debunked, but he continues to be an idol of Religious Right groups. He even spoke at last year’s Values Voter Summit following Paul Ryan where he warned that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to “shut down” churches and synagogues.

Saleem has argued that President Obama is a Muslim who is using Roe v. Wade “to bring Sharia law” to the U.S. He maintains that Obama wants to make sure that “Sharia law will be supreme in America” by working with “Hamas to import Muslim people to the United States” and “legalizing terrorism.” Saleem even claims that “there are many generals who swore to destroy the United States of America are generals in the United States [military]” and that an Islamic shadow government is secretly running the U.S. through the Obama family babysitter.

He spoke at Calvin College in 2007, where he met Professor Doug Howard, who went on to write an article for Christianity Today on the “bizarre” and fantastical claims that Saleem makes in his book, The Blood of Lambs.

Because Howard, like others, raised serious doubts about Saleem’s story, Saleem has accused him of working for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Michelle Goldberg of The Daily Beast reports that “Saleem told me that Howard is an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood” and in an interview with Tim Murphy of Mother Jones, Saleem asserted that Howard supports radical Islam:

But Saleem didn't flinch. "He's related to a special group called the Muslim Brotherhood, and he works with them, he went to DC, he was with CAIR," he said.

I mentioned that Howard is a Christian, which makes him an odd fit for the Brotherhood.

"So? He's a professor of history. Islamic history professor, and he's writing on what? On Islamic history glory. So the group he's with, there are different groups. He rallied with them in DC, and he invited an Iranian radical to Calvin University. They spoke right there." That Iranian radical, it turns out, was Reza Aslan, who in addition to being an American citizen raised in the Bay Area, is famous mostly for suggesting that democracy is a useful weapon against terrorism.

("I don't know what to say! Maybe I should add that to my faculty web page," joked Howard in an email, adding that as part of his semester in DC, he took students to meet with the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, AIPAC, the Mennonites Central Committee, and, yes, one trip to a mosque.)

But now, Saleem is once again set to speak at a college which he believes is employing a Muslim Brotherhood agent who is part of an alliance between professors and terrorists.

American Decency Association takes on Ryan Murphy's 'Glee' and 'New Normal'

The American Decency Association is going after Ryan Murphy and his two shows, Glee and The New Normal, for its stances on gay rights and supposed anti-Christian themes. The anti-gay ADA slammed Glee over its “sexualized themes and secular humanist propaganda indoctrinating viewers” and inclusion of “two openly homosexual teen boys whose lifestyle has been positively featured over the years.” The group warned that watching Glee is a violation of the Bible since the show “legitimize[s] perversity” and is “plied with such indoctrination leading young people to accept and approve of immoral lifestyles.”

The cultural waters our youth are swimming in are more than murky - a more apt description would be raw sewage. It’s hard to think of even one network television show that offers positive examples to viewers.

There is one wildly popular show watched by millions of teens, preteens, and adults which, on the surface, would seem fairly innocuous. The program is “Glee” on the Fox Network. Glee garners millions of viewers each week who tune in to watch this show about a mixed group of high-schoolers who are part of a modern-day glee club. Included with typical high school drama are entertaining song-and-dance numbers.

It sounds rather harmless, right? Think again. Glee is about as far from a “Sound of Music” production as you can get. Glee is often edgy, erotic, and extremely popular with youth – both teens and preteens. And that is why the show is especially concerning. For mixed with the catchy vocal production numbers are sexualized themes and secular humanist propaganda indoctrinating viewers.

The fourth season of Glee premiered this past Thursday evening, introducing a new male student to the cast of characters which includes two openly homosexual teen boys whose lifestyle has been positively featured over the years. This new student just happens to be a cross-dressing, makeup-wearing transsexual. But of course that barely raised an eyebrow among the show’s characters because, as one student stated, they’re “all about diversity and acceptance.”

Each week millions of teens and preteens tune in for Glee and are subtly plied with such indoctrination leading young people to accept and approve of immoral lifestyles all in the name of “diversity and tolerance.” How many Christian young people – and adults – are entertained by a show that gives approval of what God calls “debased” in Romans 1?

Romans 1:32 states: “Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” This verse seems to speak not only to those who “practice” such immorality (such as the openly gay Ryan Murphy), but also to those who “approve” of it. Doesn’t it seem that being entertained by shows that legitimize perversity falls into the category of “giving approval” of it?

The ADA also criticized Murphy’s new comedy, The New Normal, and asked members to contact advertisers to withdraw from the show since it “pushes the gay agenda” and “offensively labels those who hold traditional values as bigoted homophobes.”

As a corporation that has chosen to sponsor the NBC television show “The New Normal,” I’m outraged by your support of a show that not only crosses the line with offensive, lewd verbiage and sexual imagery, but also pushes the gay agenda, while it offensively labels those who hold traditional values as bigoted homophobes.

Millions of Americans hold views regarding the gay agenda and same sex marriage that differ from the opinions pushed by Hollywood elites. This is made clearly obvious by the voters in dozens of states from the east coast to the west who have overwhelmingly upheld traditional marriage.

“The New Normal” blatantly mocks me and those millions of Americans by labeling us as “intolerant haters” when in fact the message you sponsor through this show is one of hate and intolerance toward those of us who hold a different viewpoint regarding the gay agenda.

Do you really want your company name associated with a show that mocks and offends millions of potential customers? If you continue to sponsor “The New Normal” I will do my best to tell my family and friends to include you on their “no shop” list.

American Decency Association Joins JC Penney Boycott over Father's Day Ad

The American Family Association’s OneMillionMoms found another ally in its war on JC Penney, as the American Decency Association is now backing a boycott of the retailer for including a same-sex couple in an ad marking Father’s Day. The group maintains that JC Penney “insulted millions of us ‘traditional,’ i.e. ‘real,’ family people” by featuring two dads and their children in the ad:

The ad features a gay “family” – two men playing with two children – with these words: “What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver — all rolled into one. Or two.”

How twenty-first century of JC Penney! All inclusive and stuff. It’s just too bad that by featuring this homosexual couple they have insulted millions of us “traditional,” i.e. “real,” family people. We know that a family is not a mix-and-match combination of its components. It’s a man and a woman and any children they may have or take legal responsibility for. And, in case you skipped biology, that means you can only have one father.

So why is JC Penney pandering to this four percent of the population by marketing to homosexuals rather than simply not encumbering itself in the culture war?

The ADA is encouraging members to email JC Penney and tell them that because of the store’s “pandering to the homosexual movement” they will no longer shop there:

I am extremely offended by your recent attempt to redefine "families" in your recent Father's Day ad featuring a homosexual couple. Your pandering to the homosexual movement is at the same time pushing away those of us who support traditional, i.e. real, marriage. It is not the place of a department store to be making preachy statements about issues like gay marriage at the cost of its customers. Until such time as I hear that you will no longer attempt to make moral judgments on these issues in your ad campaigns and will be backing out of the culture war, I will not be shopping in your stores. Please, stay out of the controversy and just sell your products.

Florida Family Association and American Decency Association Accuse Star Wars Game of Appeasing 'Radical Homosexual Extremists'

Back in January, Family Research Council president Tony Perkins railed against video game maker BioWare’s decision to allow “same gender romances with companion characters” in Star Wars: The Old Republic, which Perkins said would lead kids to “be exposed to this Star Warped way of thinking.” Now, the Florida Family Association, best known for its pressure campaigns against the television shows All-American Muslim and Degrassi, is warning that “radical homosexual extremists” are going to turn the game into “propaganda” to “capture the minds of our children through the intense emotions children encounter when playing video games,” all with this helpful image of two children staring at gay Stormtroopers:

The group asks parents to contact BioWare “to stop any additions of LGBT characters to Star Wars video games”:

America families grew up with the Star Wars film series that was family fair. The films contained no profanity, no nudity and no sexual situations. It makes no sense that BioWare and Electronic Arts would shatter that family quality in Star Wars video games just to pacify 35 LGBT polling participants and appease radical homosexual extremists. Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send that urges officials at BioWare’s parent company Electronic Arts and Lucas Films to stop any additions of LGBT characters to Star Wars video games.

The American Decency Association also announced that it will join the FRC and FFA in protesting BioWare’s move, lamenting that “it seems that ‘the dark side’ is now winning in a battle for the hearts and mind of our children.”

In a new Star Wars video game, it seems that ‘the dark side’ is now winning in a battle for the hearts and mind of our children. Bioware, the company that developed the video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, had firmly stated in 2009 that they would not bow to pressure from homosexual extremists who were demanding that gay and lesbian content be added to the video game then in development. Bioware claimed it was their policy to remain neutral.

Now Bioware has violated its own policy – as well as the values of millions of parents who don’t want their kids indoctrinated with pro-homosexual propaganda. Instead, Bioware has caved to a handful of vitriolic LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender) protesters and is adding a special “same-sex romance” component to the video game.

Religious Right Groups Fight 'Gayness' in Michigan Town, Rally Opposition to Anti-Discrimination Ordinance

The American Decency Association and the American Family Association are fighting an anti-discrimination ordinance in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, that would protect people from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in jobs, housing and public accommodations. Gary Glenn, a Republican candidate for US Senate and the head of the AFA’s Michigan chapter, called it a “discriminatory ordinance” and a “volatile proposal which is clearly a solution in search of a non-existent problem.” The American Decency Association, which is based in the nearby Fremont, Michigan, is asking members to email the mayor, warning that those “promoting gayness as a legitimate lifestyle” are putting America on the road to “godlessness, reprobation, tyranny and anarchy”:

The real issue is not that people are “gay,” but that the “gay” movement insists on promoting gayness as a legitimate lifestyle. This is the root issue, the cosmic issue throughout history:

Calling good what God calls evil. It is the fundamental expression of human anarchy in defiance of God's moral order. It is the original temptation marking humanity's descent from God and authentic goodness.

It is not enough that we transgress God's law. Humans must also reject the very idea of order - make immorality moral - sanctify sin.

You as leaders are being drawn into/pressured into making allowances for immoral lifestyles. The "gay" movement is couching their non-discrimination as injustice and unfairness but in truth they are lobbying for acceptance of their immoral and unhealthy lifestyle. Calling good what God calls evil may play for a season but little by little ever so slowly as we have seen in other countries it will lead to increasing confusion, godlessness, reprobation, tyranny and anarchy. Immorality will ultimately prevail as we as individuals and/or as leaders give license to immorality.

On behalf of morality and those who come after us I urge you to vote against the so-called non-discrimination ordinance.
