Steve King: Liberals 'Don't Love This Country' Because 'They Don't Think Of This Country The Way I Do'

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told the gathering of young conservatives this summer that liberals “don’t love this country” and will use “keyboard jackhammers” to destroy it.

In an address to the Eagle Forum Collegians, King described how he once took a naturalization test to make sure he could pass it, noting that “Barack Obama would fail [the] question” about the economic system of the US. He added:

Forty-seven percent of the students in college don’t believe in capitalism? What is happening America? That’s because the leftists have done this thing: they have verbal jackhammers, they have keyboard jackhammers and they are chiseling away as if they had a jackhammer at the beautiful marble pillars of American exceptionalism. They don’t like the constitution, they don’t love this country, they don’t appreciate the greatness of America, they don’t think of this country the way I do.

Refurbish those beautiful marble pillars of American exceptionalism. If we all do that, then this country can become something even more than the shining city on the hill. If we fail to do that, the left will take over and we’ll descend down into a place that I don’t think you have imagined yet and if I started to describe it I’d leave you on a down note instead of an up note.

Bachmann: Immigration Reform 'Means You Don't Have A Future And A Hope'

Last month, the annual Eagle Forum Collegians Summit took place in Washington, DC where Birther crackpots like Jerome Corsi shared the stage with members of Congress like Michele Bachmann.

Bachmann spent a large part of her speech railing against immigration reform, telling the audience filled with college students that if any legislation passes, their taxes are going to skyrocket, the economy is going to collapse, and their futures are going to be destroyed.

"If you think taxes are high now," Bachmann warned, "get ready! This impacts you.  This means you don't have a job. This means you don't have benefit packages. This means you don't have a future and a hope."

Immigration reform should not be interested in being compassionate to those wishing to come here, she asserted, but rather focused on "America first; it's your life first and we've got to get our house back in order. That's what I'm elected to do: look out for the Americans who voted for me; my job isn't to look out for law-breakers who broke our law to come into the country":

Corsi: Gay Marriage Will Lead To Pedophilia And Hate Crimes Charges Against Pastors

Last week, the Eagle Forum hosted its annual Collegians Summit in Washington, DC at which several members of Congress spoke, as did WND's leading Birther and resident crackpot Jerome Corsi, who warned the students in attendance that gay marriage will lead to polygamy and pedophilia that will turn America into a modern-day version of pagan Rome.

Corsi went on to warn that once gay marriage is established as constitutional, then it will only be a matter of time before that religious leaders will be dragged out of their pulpits and charged with a hate crime for daring to preach against homosexuality:

Bachmann in July Warned that Obama is Allowing ‘Influence by the Muslim Brotherhood at the Highest Levels of Power’

Back in July, Eagle Forum Collegians hosted their 2012 Annual Leadership Summit at the Heritage Foundation where Rep. Michele Bachmann delivered a speech warning of the Muslim Brotherhood’s supposed infiltration of the U.S. government, her baseless pet cause. Bachmann told attendees that the Obama administration’s meeting with an Egyptian lawmaker, who was vetted by the Secret Service and both the State Department and Department of Homeland Security, was part of a string of “outrageous, unbelievable actions on the part of the administration to allow influence by the Muslim Brotherhood at the highest levels of power: the State Department, the White House, the Pentagon, the FBI.”

She then attacked the media for “saying we’re going after individual personalities and that we’re being mean to Muslims.” But Bachmann did in fact specifically name individuals, including Secretary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, and other Muslims serving in the administration as part of a witch hunt denounced by Democratic and Republican leaders alike, including the Republican Speaker of the House and the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Bachmann went on to explain that “every day I’m in trouble for something, who cares, who cares?”

Watch:

Later, the Congresswoman suggested that attendees read “everything Phyllis Schlafly has ever written,” calling her an “absolute genius,” and also recommended books by extremist commentator Ann Coulter and disgraced pseudo-historian David Barton.
