Fischer: 'I Have No Hesitation In Saying, Flat Out, President Obama Is Not A Patriot'

Some day, this country will again have a Republican president and when that happens, critics will say things about that president that the Religious Right will find offensive and outrageous and they will throw a fit that anyone would dare to ever show such disrespect to the President of the United States and the office of the presidency.

And on that day, we will just trot out videos of Bryan Fischer declaring that President Obama "has a visceral dislike of America" and wants to see it torn down and utterly destroyed.

"I have no hesitation in saying, flat out, President Obama is not a patriot," Fischer says, "he is not a patriotic American":

Right Wing Leftovers - 7/31/13

  • It is going to be fascinating to watch Glenn Beck, who thinks that David Barton is a great historian, try to take down Reza Aslan and his new book about Jesus.
  • Bryan Fischer says that President Obama is working to destroy America by intentionally weakening the military.
  • Janet Porter is out with a new video that has the top-notch production values we have come to expect from her.
  • Tony Perkins, Brent Bozell, and hundreds of other "conservative and Tea Party leaders are demanding that major news media outlets end their virtual blackout on the IRS targeting scandal."
  • Finally, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt says that, because of hates crimes legislation, it is now illegal to quote passages from the Bible that condemn homosexuality.  Of course, Chaps quoted those very passages in the video and has not been arrested, which pretty much proves that his entire claim is ridiculously false.

Fischer: 'We Shouldn't Operate In This Fantasy Land'

We know that when it comes to questions of science, Bryan Fischer is an authority who can fully be trusted because he has "an allegiance to science," which is why he doesn't believe in climate change or evolution and knows that Jesus holds the atomic nucleus together and that the Second Law of Thermodynamics was first mentioned in the Bible.

So it was no surprise to see him seize upon an op-ed in USA Today by a former president of the American Psychological Association claiming that "ex-gay" sexual reorientation therapy is not unethical to declare that anyone who thinks that gays are born that way is doing so "in defiance of science," adding that gay activists are "completely unhinged and unmoored" from reality.

"We shouldn't operate in this fantasy land, this make believe world where everything is fabricated and made up and there's no basis for it in reality" said Fischer ... the man who, just last week, recalled how he had once been targeted by a coven of local witches who had sent out a demonic spirit to attack him by grabbing his ankle while he slept:

Fischer: Anthony Weiner Running for Mayor to 'Create an Opportunity for More Jihadist Activity'

American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer yesterday alleged that former congressman Anthony Weiner is running for mayor in order to “create an opportunity for more jihadist activity” as part of a Muslim Brotherhood plot, led by his wife Huma Abedin. Fischer, who on Monday said that Abedin seeks to “destroy Western Civilization,” claimed that Weiner is running for mayor in order to “pull back” on the NYPD’s surveillance of the city’s Muslim community and aid “Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood and their agenda to exterminate and destroy Western Civilization.”

Fischer: Huma Abedin's 'Stated Purpose' Is To Destroy Western Civilization

On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer was discussing the on-going Anthony Weiner sexting scandal, which provided an opportunity for him to join the right-wing smear campaign against Weiner's wife, long-time Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, for supposedly being an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood intent on destroying America.

As a matter of fact, said Fischer, despite having no evidence whatsoever, Adedin's "stated goal" is to destroy this nation.

"Her goal in life as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood is to destroy Western Civilization," Fischer said. "She's the one that wants to be the next mayor's wife in the city of New York ... Huma Abedin, she wants to destroy Western Civilization. That is her stated purpose, that is her stated goal":

King: Attacks On Me Are A Sign That Civilization Will Not Survive

Congressman Steve King continues his tour of defiance, refusing to apologize or backtrack in any way for the comments he made earlier this week when he claimed that the vast majority of undocumented immigrants are "130-pound" drug runners with "calves the size of cantaloupes."

As part of this ongoing effort, King showed up on Bryan Fischer's radio program today where he vowed that he will never apologize "for telling the American people the truth."

King defended himself by saying he had made this same point several times in the past, but is only being attacked for it now by people who "have an amnesty agenda that they want to drive through the House of Representatives," adding that any civilization in which government leaders would attack and marginalize someone like him for speaking the truth "will not be able to sustain itself in the long run":

Bryan Fischer: Demon Hunter

On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer dedicated an entire segment to recounting some of the various run-ins he has had with demonic spirits and how he cleansed them from his home, cleansed his and other children who were being attacked by them, and even fought one off that grabbed him while he slept.

Inspired by a story in The Blaze today about the new horror film "The Conjuring" and the supposedly true story that inspired it, Fischer recounted how he once delivered a young girl from a demon that was tormenting her and ordering her to be disobedient to her parents under threat that the demon would otherwise kill them.

But it was not just others that Fischer rescued, as he also was once personally attacked by a spirit in the middle of the night.  Apparently, this spirit had been sent out to harm him by a coven of local witches and it grabbed him by the ankle as he slept and tried to pull him from his bed until he was able to rebuke it in the name of Jesus and drive it away:

Right Wing Leftovers - 7/22/13

  • Bryan Fischer, who once wrote that African Americans on welfare "rut like rabbits," says that President Obama has "set race relations back another decade."
  • Matt Barber helpfully drafts the remarks that President Obama should have delivered on the Trayvon Martin verdict.
  • Sadly, the Southern Avenger has resigned.
  • "Coach" Dave says he is not a homophobe ... and neither is God.
  • Ex-gay activist  Dr. Douglas McIntyre is launching a ten day tour to protest "homo-facism."
  • Finally, here is Sen. Ted Cruz having hands laid upon him and being prayed over by David Barton, among others:

Fischer On Liz Cheney, Gay Marriage, And Bank Robbing

Yesterday, Bryan Fischer announced his opposition to Liz Cheney's bid for the US Senate on the grounds that she is not anti-gay enough and he reiterated that view on his radio program when he explained to a caller that Cheney has been compromised on the issue due to the fact that her sister, Mary, is a lesbian.

Fischer said that a lot of people get confused on this issue because someone they know or care about is gay, but that "is just absurd; if you've got a bank robber in the family, that doesn't mean you automatically have to support bank robbing as a lifestyle choice."

Fischer went on to say that even the Supreme Court has "homosexual activists" working as clerks who are "strategically placed" in influential positions and that could affect the judgment of the justices on these issues:

Fischer: 'It Is Your Patriotic Duty To Worship God'

Bryan Fischer began yesterday's radio program, as he customarily does, with a reading from the Bible and a discussion about what it means for today.  In yesterday's reading, Fischer was working from the Book of Haggai as he explained that our economy is suffering because the nation has turned away from God, just as happened to ancient Israel.

And if we want the economy to turn around, it requires the leaders of this nation to call us to focus our attention back on God because" if you want a prosperous economy, you've got to have a vibrant spirituality."

"When you worship God," Fischer explained, "you are not just doing the right thing in terms of your relationship with God, you are doing your patriotic duty. It is your patriotic duty to worship God in order that we may have a prosperous and flourishing economy":

Fischer Declares Liz Cheney Is Not 'A Patriot' Because She Is Too Pro-Gay

Bryan Fischer has written a post declaring his opposition to the Liz Cheney after she announced that she will be challenging Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi in the Republican primary on the grounds that Cheney is not a patriot because she is insufficiently anti-gay:

The massive problem is that on values issues, which matter most right now for America’s future, she will fight for the team wearing lavender instead of the team wearing red, white and blue.

In 2009, she inartfully dodged two attempts to press her to declare her position on sodomy-based marriage, which in the end means just one thing: she’s for it.

Although I’m not aware that she has declared a position on ENDA, in 2009 she supported the State Department’s decision, in flagrant violation of DOMA, the law of the land at the time, to extend benefits to same-sex partners.

Said Ms. Cheney, “I think it’s wrong to discriminate, in those relationships, based on someone’s sexual preference.” Homosexual activists prefer her to Enzi for the sole reason that she just might be a “sleeper vote for LGBT rights.”

She supported the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, which is driving values-based members of the military out of the service and ushering in militant homosexuals. Currently, 55-60% of  all sexual assaults in the military now, thanks in part to the DADT repeal, are committed by homosexuals.

Liz Cheney will be an undeniably appealing candidate, and conservatives will be tempted to turn a blind eye toward her support for the deviancy cabal. But we do so not only at our peril but at the peril of the future of our country.

George Washington famously said, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness.”

The bottom line: Liz Cheney is not, under Washington’s definition, a patriot. She will throw her weight behind those who are placing improvised explosive devices beneath both of Washington’s indispensable pillars. When the roof collapses on us all, those who supported Liz Cheney will be partly to blame.

Right Wing Leftovers - 7/11/13

  • Bryan Fischer tweets that Sen. Orrin Hatch voted in favor of ENDA because he is a Mormon who wants to see polygamy legalized.
  • Fischer also says that "Christians are being moved out of the United States military so hyper-masculine homosexuals can move in, similar to the kind of homosexuals that formed Hitler's stormtroopers."
  • The Southern Baptist Convention's Russell Moore says gays can't get married because "same-sex marriage is impossible based upon what sexuality and what marriage is. So it's not that we're trying to disappoint our neighbors. We're saying this is for the good of human flourishing. And we love you -- that's the reason why not only do we say that we think there's some restrictions for you, there's some restrictions on us in terms of what this looks like."
  • Finally, One Million Moms objects to the new Discovery Channel show "Naked and Afraid" because the organization "considers the show soft porn."

Fischer: The Bible Mentions The Second Law Of Thermodynamics

Every once in a while, Bryan Fischer takes a break from attacking gays, and Muslims, and Mormons in order to impart a bit of biblically-sound scientific wisdom to his audience, like when he explained that only the Bible can provide accurate information regarding the age of the earth or how Jesus holds together the atomic nucleus.

On his broadcast today, Fischer once again put on his scientist cap to explain how the second law of thermodynamics, which he, for some reason, combined with the first law of thermodynamics and then proceeded to absurdly oversimplify, was first mentioned in the Bible; in Psalm 102, to be exact, which reads:

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.

Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.

But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

As Fischer said, scientists could have figured all of this out if they had simply read this passage from the Book of Psalms, written in 900 BCE, several thousand years before it was formulated:

The ENDA is Near: The Top Five Religious Right Claims About the Employment Non-Discrimination Act

With the Employment Non-Discrimination Act scheduled for a Senate committee vote this week, here’s a look at Right Wing Watch’s collection of recent – and classic – claims from the Religious Right about ENDA.  Because ENDA is common-sense civil rights legislation that would expand federal employment protections against discrimination to include sexual orientation and gender identity, the Right cannot gain much traction by opposing ENDA on its merits.  Instead, resorting to fear-mongering and lies, they contend that ENDA will lead to everything from the end of religious freedom to sexual assault and death.

Here are highlights of Right Wing Watch’s reporting on right-wing opposition to ENDA:

5. Tony Perkins: ‘Totalitarian Homosexual Lobby’ Out to Destroy Religious Freedom with ENDA (March 2013)

“Like a B-grade 1950’s horror-movie, ENDA is coming back from the dead,” warned Family Research Council President Tony Perkins in a recent mailing. Perkins said President Obama is working with the “totalitarian homosexual lobby” to sneak ENDA into law, and if that happens, “Our freedom of religion will be destroyed.”

“In fact,” says Perkins in his letter, “under ENDA biblical morality becomes illegal.”

4. Steve Crampton: ENDA is Insanity (June 2012)

Speaking about a Senate hearing on ENDA, Liberty Counsel’s “Faith and Freedom” radio host Steve Crampton marveled that a transgender person was actually allowed to testify on behalf of the legislation and complained that ENDA is not about “equal rights” but rather “special rights” for gays and cross-dressers.

Crampton stated that if ENDA passed, he could come into work – “God forbid,” he said – wearing a dress and would be allowed to use the women’s restroom.  “In years past,” Crampton said, “we had another word for this: it’s called insanity.”

3. Andrea Lafferty Cites CT School Shooting to Rally Opposition to Non-Discrimination Policies (December 2012)

Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition used the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, in order to bolster her campaign against ENDA. While speaking to Janet Mefferd about the Orange County, Florida, school system’s new non-discrimination policy that is similar to ENDA, Lafferty said that just as parents are upset about the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting and are concerned about keeping their children safe, they should also be worried about ENDA’s “devastating effects” as schools will have “people with some real issues playing out their personal problems in the classroom.”

Lafferty maintained that ENDA is part of the left’s “open season” on Christians on behalf of “fringe minorities and people that are truly sick.”  She warned that Chick-fil-A restaurants may soon be “forced” to hire “weirdos” seeking to undermine Christian businesses, warning that transgender people are committing “the ultimate act of self-hatred” and need “special medical treatment” rather than job protections.

2. Bryan Fischer: Businesses Threatened by ‘Flaming Homosexual’ Job Applicants and the ‘Return of Jim Crow Laws’ (January 2013)

American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer warned in a blog post that “ENDA would represent the return of Jim Crow laws.” On his radio program Focal Point, Fischer warned that if ENDA is signed into law businesses will be faced with a barrage of “flaming homosexual” job applicants. “The homosexual lobby,” Fischer said, “will send a guy in there wearing stilettos, a dress and dangly earrings” in order to provoke Christian business-owners “not to hire him.”

1. Mat Staver: ENDA Will Result in the 'Death of Some Individuals' (June 2012)

Liberty Counsel chairman Mat Staver is ratcheting up the rhetoric in opposition to ENDA, even going so far as to say that if passed the legislation may lead to child molestation, sexual assault, and death. Staver told Jim Schneider of VCY America on Crosstalk that ENDA “will put individuals at risk and ultimately result in significant damage and even death of some individuals”:

Staver: So you can go into these restrooms or changing rooms, if you’re a man, and want to go in and molest, or watch, or sexually assault young girls. So, I mean, the absurdity of this is just beyond understanding how someone could be in favor of it. This will ultimately, in addition to colliding with religious liberty, in addition to forcing a radical agenda on people, this also will put individuals at risk and ultimately result in significant damage and even death of some individuals.

Fischer to Immigration Opponents: 'Get Busy' and Procreate

Today on Focal Point, Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association warned that the White House, Senate and Supreme Court are controlled by “lawless, immoral and godless” people and that America’s last hope lies with “conservatives in the House of Representatives; they are the last link between the American people and any shred of constitutional form of government.”

However, Fischer says if the House approves immigration reform, then “that thread is going to snap and we will be plunging at warp speed into the abyss.”

But Fischer said that America could stave off the need for more immigrants if Americans would “get busy” and have more kids: “The whole argument for immigration is, ‘We got to get workers.’ Why? Because native-born Americans simply are not reproducing at rates fast enough to increase the population. So we know what we need to do. Let’s get busy.”

Fischer: New Yorker 'Promoting Child Endangerment and Child Abuse' by Having Bert and Ernie In a 'Homosexual Clinch' (VIDEO)

Expanding on his earlier column, American Family Association spokesman lashed out at The New Yorker for putting Bert and Ernie in a “homosexual clinch” on their new cover. “Ladies and gentlemen they are cuddling on a couch, this is a romantic interlude,” he said.

“I don’t know which is which.” After quoting statistics from the very very very discredited Mark Regnerus study about same-sex parenting, Fischer said, “This is grossly irresponsible for The New Yorker to promote this, they really are promoting child endangerment and they are promoting child abuse.”
