Cindy Jacobs

Michele Bachmann to Headline Conference with 9/11 & Sandy Hook Truther, Birthers and Anti-Gay Activists

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) will be joining some of the most extreme right-wing activists in the country at the upcoming Awakening 2013 conference.

Jacobs: Our Prayers Exposed a Terrorist Sleeper Cell

As she has several times in the past, Cindy Jacobs revealed on the most recent episode of "God Knows" that her prayers have prevented a terrorist attack.

As Jacobs recalled it, she and her husband Mike and some friends were taking a vacation in upstate New York when, while sitting at lunch one day, "the Lord began to tell me that there was a terrorist attack being planned in that little town."

So Jacobs rose and went outside when God instructed her to share that information with a group of man standing outside the restaurant, who just so happened to be a group of local pastors.

Together they all mobilized their prayer networks and "everybody began to pray and it was exposed; there was a sleeper cell in that area that got exposed":

Cindy Jacobs' Prayers Can Cure Insanity

On the most recent episode of "God Knows," Cindy Jacobs recounted a time when a young woman came to her to ask her to pray for her aunt, who had been committed to a mental hospital.  Knowing that neither the young women nor her aunt had the faith necessary to stand in the gap against the demonic spirit afflicting her, Cindy took it upon herself to pray and "bind the spirit of insanity" and so she "bound the spirit of darkness off that women and, you know, she was totally set free in her mind [and] released from the institution":

How Cindy Jacobs' Prayers May Have Saved David Barton's Life

We already know that Cindy Jacobs' prayers have stopped terrorism and saved the global economy, but on the latest episode of "God Knows" she revealed how her prayers may have saved David Barton's life.

Apparently, several years ago Barton and his family were driving to Florida when Jacobs received a dream from God ordering her to start praying that the wheels on the Barton's van would not fall off.  She immediately did so and when the Bartons arrived at their destination, she told them of her dream and David and Cindy's husband Mike took the van to a local mechanic who told them that the bearings were completely worn away and "there is absolutely no reason why your wheel should not have come off the axle."

As Cindy explained, "God had given a word for David" that he was going to use him to rewrite school curriculum standards throughout the nation, but "Satan was trying to resist him," but her intercessory prayers prevented that from happening:

Cindy Jacobs' Five-Year-Old Daughter Can Stop Tornadoes

We already know that self-proclaimed prophet Cindy Jacobs has thwarted terrorist attacks and attempted coups with her prayers, but we learned in the latest episode of her show, God Knows, that supernatural powers apparently run in her bloodline. Jacobs’ husband Mike revealed on the show that their five-year-old daughter stopped tornadoes by simply shouting: “I told you to be quiet in Jesus’ name!”

Right Wing Leftovers - 2/9/13

  • Cindy Jacobs explains how she became a "respected prophet."
  • This is apparently a real thing: "11-Year-Old Ordained Minister is America's Next Superstar Evangelist."
  • Unfortunately for us, Fox News' resident quack psychiatrist Keith Ablow will not run for the vacant senate seat in Massachusetts.
  • Rep. Randy Forbes is very worried about "America’s new government-imposed religion," by which he means conservative Christians not getting their way on everything.
  • Finally, the Family Research Council cannot possibly be a hate group because someone who interned there says they are "the most delightful, friendly, sweet, loving, caring, and Christ-like people you will ever meet."

How Cindy Jacobs and Her Prayer Warriors Saved the Global Economy

In January, Cindy Jacobs preached at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas to reveal what God told her and the other "respected prophets" who make up the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders to expect in 2013.

And in order to convince her audience that she was trustworthy, Jacobs recounted some of the successful prophecies she has made over the previous years, like back in 2008 when God told her that the global economy was going to completely crash unless she mobilized her network of prayer warriors.  So she did just that, getting them to pray on Wall Street and at stock exchanges all over the world, thereby saving the economy, much to the consternation of economists who "do not know why the economy did not completely crater worldwide, but we know, don't we? Because we prayed":

God Miraculously Made a Pair Of Cindy Jacobs' Shoes Last for Years

On the most recent episode of "God Knows," Cindy Jacobs warned that the world was heading into a "season of shaking" and so people ought to start making preparations and stockpiling some provisions.  But Christians will not have much to worry about because God will provide for them supernaturally, just like how he has miraculously multiplied the dinners she has cooked and the oil she has used and also made a set of tires on her car and a pair shoes she owned last for years and years:

Cindy Jacobs Remembers the Time God Sent an Angel to Help Her Make Travel Arrangements

On the most recent episode of the Generals International "God Knows" television program, "respected prophet" Cindy Jacobs and her husband Mike were discussing the existence of an "invisible realm [that] is populated with powerful angelic hosts that want to take care of you."

Case in point was the time when Jacobs traveled to Venezuela and arrived just as the airport was closing, only to find that there was nobody there to pick her up.  Not speaking the language or having any local currency, Jacobs was trapped ... until a literal angel appeared with a calling card to help her make hotel and travel arrangements:

Brownback Declares Saturday to be a 'Day of Restoration'

In August of last year, Texas Governor Rick Perry organized and hosted a large public prayer rally featuring a host of Religious Right activists along with various self-proclaimed "prophets" of the New Apostolic Reformation.  For the most part, other elected leaders stayed away from the event, with the notable exception of Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, who spoke and delivered a prayer from the stage.

It was no surprise that Brownback would have no qualms about sharing the stage with these sorts of modern-day prophets, as he had a long history of working closely them and speaking at their events back when he was serving in the US Senate and even lived with Lou Engle for several months. In fact, Brownback's close ties to Engle became a bit of an issue when he was running for Governor in 2010.

And just as it was no surprise that Brownback would appear at "The Response," it is also not surprising that he has now publicly endorsed a similar prayer event that is taking place in Topeka, Kansas this weekend called Reign Down, organized by a group that began "in July of 2005, [when] God woke up a 31-year old stay-at-home mom to give her a vision" of then-President George W. Bush "repenting on behalf of the nation, culminating in a movement of God's hand across America to bring healing, restoration and unprecedented unity and prosperity."

When Reign Down organized a prayer event on the National Mall in 2008, severe thunderstorms threatened to cancel it ... until their prayers held them off:

Leading up to the four-hour event, a massive storm with life-threatening tornadoes, heavy rain and winds, and lightning was heading straight towards the gathering at the National Mall in D.C. The National Park Service issued one warning, saying that after three warnings—or the first bolt of lightning—they were going to pull the plug and the event would not happen. Realizing it was beyond their control, with less than an hour until the event was to start, ReignDown USA's leaders and intercessors knelt behind the stage and cried out for God to divert the storm to the North and the South. They called upon the power of the Holy Spirit for the winds to shift from the West to the East and blow the storm away. As they cried out on their knees and begged God to move…He did! The wind shifted! The Park Service, watching the weather radar, said that somehow the storm cell was shifting its course and heading to the North.

And this weekend, Reign Down - which has partnerships with groups and leaders like Lou Engle, The Call, Cindy Jacobs, GodTV, the Congressional Prayer Caucus, and Rep. Trent Franks - will host a prayer rally in Kansas that will be simulcast across the country, and Gov. Brownback has not only filmed a video announcing his participation and support but issued a proclamation calling on citizens to "collectively repent of distancing ourselves from God and ask for His mercy on us" and declaring Saturday to be a "day of restoration":

TO THE PEOPLE OF KANSAS, GREETINGS:

WHEREAS, the State of Kansas will host the national simulcast of REIGNDOWN USA in Topeka on December 8, 2012, bringing thousands here from across the country; and

WHEREAS, people from across America will join the millions from around the world on TV simulcast live from MacLennan Park, in the heart of America; and

WHEREAS, the first REIGNDOWN celebration was held 2008 in Washington DC, on the Capitol Grounds, introduced by proclamation of the President of the United States of America, with millions participating on site, on TV, and by computer; and

WHEREAS, regional REIGNDOWN events continued until the need was seen for the gathering to be held in the heart of our Nation; and

WHEREAS, many of our families have slid into poverty, endangering out next generation of citizens, our lands are parched by drought, our quality jobs are scarce, business and industry are struggling to expand, and many of our people have fallen into despair; and

WHEREAS, our Nation’s greatest leaders have called on a merciful God for favor during troubled times, such as:

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God.” - Abraham Lincoln, 1863.

“The propitious [favorable] smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” - George Washington, 1789.

“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.” - Thomas Jefferson, 1787; and

WHEREAS, we collectively repent of distancing ourselves from God and ask for His mercy on us:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sam Brownback, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF KANSAS, do hereby proclaim December 8th 2012, as a

Day of Restoration

in Kansas and ask every citizen of our state to join in asking a Holy God to bring healing and restoration – help in mending broken lives, bringing peace to our families, our communities, and this land.

DONE: At the Capitol in Topeka
under the Great Seal of the
State this 23rd day of
November, A.D. 2012

Jacobs Claims to have Thwarted Numerous Terrorist Attacks

Self-proclaimed “prophets” Mike and Cindy Jacobs of Generals International continued to spew their predictions about terrorism, natural disasters and economic turmoil on their show God Knows. Jacobs—who previously alleged that she helped avert bombings—revealed that she along with other prophets were having dreams in 2011 about a looming terrorist attack, and explains that their visions were confirmed by the events in Benghazi.

Mike Jacobs contended that there were even more terrorist plots, but that they had been thwarted by “the prayer cover that has been placed over the United States by various prayer groups and individuals praying.”

Highlights from the Generals International 'Reformation Day' Pre-Election Prayer Rally

Last Wednesday evening, Cindy Jacobs and Generals International held a "Reformation Day" pre-election prayer rally where speaker after speaker prayed that the humanistic, anti-Christ systems ruling over this nation would be broken, that the Holy Spirit would reach both President Obama and the Supreme Court and bring an end to abortion, and that Christians would rise up to take back this nation through an army of evangelical voters who will put God's man in the White House.

We edited down the three hour event to this three and a half minute clip of the "highlights":

Right Wing Leftovers - 10/26/12

  • John McCain says Colin Powell's endorsement of President Obama will turn off voters because Powell "got us into Iraq." Yes, he really said that.
  • Newt Gingrich's SuperPAC wants you to be very scared.
  • Cindy Jacobs is calling on her prayer warriors to pray against Hurricane Sandy and "rebuke this storm in Jesus' name. The authority of the believer is powerful enough to shift weather patterns!"
  • Jim Garlow's continued use of his wife's cancer as a metaphor really is rather tasteless: “My wife has advanced cancer and I am fighting for her life, but my nation also has advanced cancer and we are fighting for its life. My wife has had aggressive treatments to save her life. We need some radical surgery, radiation, chemo and alternative treatments to save our nation.”
  • Finally, James Dobson agrees with John Hagee when he says that "the upcoming presidential election will be one of the most significant events in American history…. They [U.S. citizens] know something is seriously wrong but can't quite define it. The truth is America has been intentionally deceived and is racing toward economic and political destruction. If we don't change paths now, the America we know and love will be lost forever."

Right Wing Leftovers - 9/26/12

  • There is an election coming, so that means we will be seeing various Religious Right coalitions organizing redundant prayer efforts.
  • CitizenLink thinks a video of President Obama talking about the importance of religious liberty is really an effort to use religion as a wedge issue.
  • Tommy Thompson says he'll make a great Senator because "who better than me, who's already finished one of the entitlement programs, to come up with programs to do away with Medicaid and Medicare?"
  • Newt Gingrich says Obama "is like the substitute referees in the sense that he’s not a real president. He doesn’t do anything that presidents do, he doesn’t worry about any of the things the presidents do."
  • Apparently, illegally uploading copies of "2016" is part of an effort to "to drive viewers away from the theatrical showing of the successful documentary." So I guess illegally uploading copies of "The Avengers" is an attempt to keep people from seeing "The Avengers"?
  • Finally, Cindy Jacobs says prayer alone isn't enough; it must be accompanied by action, which is they are calling for "prayer activism" ahead of the election.

Jacobs Warns Obama's 'Anti-Biblical' Policies have led to 'Floods and Fires and More'

Self-proclaimed prophet Cindy Jacobs, who blamed freak bird deaths on the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and predicted that the Obama administration’s support for LGBT rights will lead to a blizzard and the exposure of a major government scandal, warned Jim Bakker last week that more disasters are coming to America thanks to President Obama’s leadership. Jacobs told Bakker that she prophesied “that God had seen decisions made from our White House that were anti-biblical and that we were going to come into the season of the greatest weather patterns and disasters that we had seen, there were going to be floods and fires and more, and it all happened.”

She claimed that 2011 “historically was the worst year for weather-related disasters in our history, and I was mocked everywhere for that because they don’t understand spiritual things.” “We are going to have more weather disasters, it’s going to come up worse and worse, it’s not going to stop,” Jacobs contended.

Bakker: 'America is Under Curse' and Ripe for Divine Punishment

During an interview with self-proclaimed prophet Cindy Jacobs, televangelist Jim Bakker warned that “America is under curse” and God let his protective hand of protection down to allow the September 11 attacks to occur in order “to get your and my attention.” Bakker tearfully decried legal abortion and limits on organized school prayer and the public placement of religious items like the Ten Commandments, telling viewers that now “God is weeping in Heaven.”

Jim Bakker Prophesies New Orleans' Destruction and California 'Ring of Fire'

Last time self-proclaimed prophet Cindy Jacobs appeared on The Jim Bakker Show, the two talked about how they prophesied the September 11th attacks, warned of an imminent nuclear catastrophe and how Jacobs prevented two African coups. But when the two got together last week, Bakker did most of the “prophesying” as he recounted how “God spoke to me there’d be death by water and one day New Orleans will be under water forever,” with Hurricanes Katrina and Isaac revealing God’s judgment on the city.

“There’s going to be many, many disasters, desert disasters, sometimes God speaks in alliterations to me,” Bakker said. “In California confusion is going to happen and it’s going to be awful, the earthquakes are shaking, the ring of fire is shaking, there are going to be earthquakes like we’ve never seen before, there’s going to be storms like we’ve never seen before.”

Later, Bakker prophesied that along with California there will be an imminent earthquake on the New Madrid Fault Line over U.S. policy towards Israel and that his audience members will soon “pull people out of the rubble and you’re going to tell them ‘this is in the Bible, this is Biblical times.’”

Jacobs: Our Prayers Stop Terrorism

Self-described "respected prophet" Cindy Jacobs appeared on the program "Power For Life With Matt Sorger" where she discussed her work as both a prophet and an intercessor for nations, revealing that "time and time again" she and her prayer warriors have managed to "avert a number of different potential bombings."

In fact, Jacobs revealed that the accountant at Generals International had a dream about a terrorist attack being planned for Dallas and so the staff began to pray that the police would launch a sting operation and "it was exposed the next day, so we know that God used that prayer":

FRC's Deepening Embrace of the New Apostolic Reformation

Over the last year or so, we have been noting how the Family Research Council was slowly becoming more and more intertwined with various leaders within the New Apostolic Reformation movement, the collection of modern-day "prophets" and "apostles" who believe they posses the same miracle working abilities as Jesus.

NAR's public political activism has cooled since leaders had their coming-out at Rick Perry's massive prayer rally last summer, but obviously efforts to work its way into the larger Religious Right political movement continue.

Case in point, today we received an email from the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network, the organization run by John Benefiel, who thinks that Statue of Liberty is a demonic idol, revealing that leaders from the organization. along with "50 other intercessors," had been gathered at FRC's headquarters earlier this week, just the day before the recent shooting

HAPN was represented at this meeting, according to the email, by Jon Hamill, who runs an organization called Lamplighter Ministries and which has deep ties to wide variety of NAR leaders, including Cindy Jacobs and Mike Bickel:

Ordained by James Goll, they are aligned apostolically with Global Spheres International ... In addition to work with Lamplighter, Jon and Jolene serve as MD coordinators and Mid-Atlantic coordinators of the Reformation Prayer Network, founded by Dr. Cindy Jacobs, and the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network, founded by Dr. John Benefiel.

Jon and Jolene are also honored to be among the “emerging leaders” of the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders. For more than a decade, the ACPE has been convened by Dr. C. Peter Wagner and Cindy Jacobs to seek the Lord and share corporate insights for times ahead.

Jon and Jolene reside in metro Washington DC. Jon was formerly on staff with Generals International, founded by Cindy Jacobs, and the International House of Prayer, founded by Mike Bickle. Jolene served for many years in the mortgage industry.

Jacobs: Prayer Led to the Capture of Manuel Noriega

A few years back we noted how Chuck Pierce, Dutch Sheets and a group of prophetic intercessors took credit for the capture of Saddam Hussein in 2003.  But it seems they were not alone in using the power of prayer to capture world leaders as Cindy Jacobs revealed on Friday's episode of "God Knows" that another group of intercessors were responsible for the capture of Manuel Noriega in Panama back in 1983 after they drove buses around the nation, praying that God would bind Satan so that "the power of the Strong Man was broken":
