David Duke and other white nationalists loved the speech Donald Trump delivered last night about immigration and the former KKK leader continued to shower praise on the GOP presidential nominee on his radio show today.
Trump’s speech, according to Duke, “was a very implicit, almost explicit” signal “that we’ve got to take America back and that we’ve got to defend the heritage of the people that created America” because “there is a purposeful effort to ethnically cleanse us from the land our forefathers created and built.”
Duke, who is running for U.S. Senate in Louisiana, said that he has worked against “massive immigration” throughout his entire career and promised that, if elected, he will immediately work to curb immigration and “restore this country to the heritage of the people who created this nation—respect for all races but damn well we are going to make sure that our people survive and prosper and we preserve America as fundamentally a nation of Western, Christian civilization where the people of Western, Christian descent have a right to be preserved and promoted and go to the stars.”
Duke said that if he makes it into the Senate, he will be the lone voice for white people and a vocal opponent of the “Jewish establishment in this country, the Jewish mafia, that controls media, banking and politics.”
“They are leading our country to disaster,” he said. “That doesn’t mean every single Jew is doing it, but there’s no question that the Jewish establishment is doing this. It’s not anti-Semitic to simply tell the truth that this powerful Jewish economic, political and banking establishment is absolutely the driving force for the destruction of western civilization.”
Yesterday, Louisiana-based white nationalist and U.S. Senate candidate David Duke reacted to the news of Hillary Clinton’s upcoming speech about Donald Trump’s ties to the alt-right, a racist movement championed by Duke, by noting that Trump speaks just like alt-right leaders.
Duke said that Clinton “is really concerned and really scared because she realizes that there’s a sleeping tiger in this country, European-Americans, that are waking up to the realization that every right they have—the real racism in America is against white people.”
“No candidate in this country would dare even stand up and say, ‘Yes, I definitely am going to defend the rights and the heritage of European-Americans,’” he continued. “One can go on to say, ‘Yes I want to respect the rights of all but I believe our people have rights too and the ethnic cleansing of America has got to stop.’ I believe this is a sleeping tiger that is easily awakened.”
Trump, Duke went on to say, “has energized European-Americans in sort of the implicit statements he makes, such as ‘take America back,’ and we’re going to take America back.”
Duke said that if he decides to run for Congress in Louisiana, it will be to warn people that “European-Americans” are “headed toward an ethnic cleansing, and that’s the only way to put it, in the nation that our forefathers created” and to combat policies that are “destroying our people.”
He repeated his belief that Trump, who has notoriously shared the Twitter messages of white supremacists, include one with the handle @WhiteGenocideTM, has given white nationalists an opportunity to go “on the offensive.”
I love what Trump’s doing. I think that Trump is a breath of fresh air. I don’t know exactly what he’s going to do when he’s in but I think it’s great what he’s doing. But I tell you something, we have got to continue to take this another step, we have got to continue to go on the offensive in this battle. As far as I’m concerned, I’m going to vote for Trump, I said I supported Trump, I’ve been aligned with Trump from very early in this campaign, as you have, but there’s no question in my mind that we need at least one guy in the United States Congress, whether in the House of Representatives or the Senate, at least one guy that will openly stand up for the rights and the heritage of European-Americans and I believe that the time is right.
Duke went on to say that he is proud of his past leadership role in the Ku Klux Klan: “I’m not ashamed of that. I was in a nonviolent Klan organization. I always promoted nonviolence. I took a different path later on but I’m not ashamed of the fact that I stood up because at that time, as a young man, I realized that we were headed towards disaster.”
RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.
While many conservatives continue to be focused on how LGBT rights laws are dangerous and Satanic, far-right commentators like Alex Jones and David Duke are showing how Donald Trump can rescue America from nefarious elites.
5) Satan Behind LGBT Rights
Pat Robertson knows the real reason that lawmakers and activists are supporting laws to prevent discrimination against LGBT people: They are motivated by Satan to “destroy the Judeo-Christian fabric of America.”
Robertson told “700 Club” viewers this week that while he doesn’t oppose transgender people, he believes that those advocating for transgender rights are pushing “the agenda of anti-Christian bias,” and that is why the devil has been so focused on this “one particular place.”
4) Another Right-Wing Smear
Since we have heard from many Religious Right activists about how LGBT nondiscrimination policies are such a threat, radio host Alan Colmes decided to ask one such activist, Anita Staver of Liberty Counsel, if she has any proof that one of these measures adopted around the country has ever led to a crime.
Staver, unsurprisingly, was unable to name any crimes that resulted from such policies, simply saying, “I’m not a statistician,” and asking listeners to go online to look it up.
She may have drawn a blank because the claim that nondiscrimination laws have resulted in widespread sexual assaults is nothing but a right-wing myth.
While speaking this week with a caller this week who said that he was in hiding and that he knows for a fact that Obama is using immigration to pave the way for white “genocide,” Savage wholeheartedly agreed, calling the president a “madman” and suggesting that he has a “specific vendetta” against white people.
Jones, known for screamingintothecamera on a daily basis, posted a video Tuesday night celebrating Trump’s victory in Indiana, before quickly taking it down.
Fortunately, our friends at Media Matters saved a copy of the video, in which Jones railed against Trump’s “stinking, traitorous” critics such as Washington Post columnist George Will, whom Jones advised to “look in the mirror, realize you’re a traitor, and do the right thing, and put a .357 Magnum to your head, and blow what little is left of your brains out all over yourself.”
1) David Duke Hopes Trump Defeats The ‘Jewish Supremacists’
Jones wasn’t the only one rejoicing Trump’s victory in the GOP presidential contest.
White nationalist David Duke also cheered on Trump for successfully challenging the “Jewish supremacists who control our country.”
Powerful Jews, Duke said, “run the political establishment” and dislike Trump because “he is implicitly talking about the interests of European-Americans.”
By trying to stop Trump, Duke claims that these “Jewish extremists” have ended up “exposing their alien, anti-American, anti-American-majority position” and increasing “awareness” that their supposed stranglehold on the government is “the reason why America is not great.”
Ioffe, who is Jewish, received calls from “people playing Hitler speeches” and was told that she “should be burned in an oven, told she should be shot in the head, received a call inquiring about overnight casket delivery, and sent Photoshopped images of her in a concentration camp uniform.”
Trump said that he didn’t read Ioffe’s article, but nevertheless attacked it as “nasty” and claimed that it portrayed his wife as a “party person” — when, in fact, it described her as a “homebody.”
He went on to say that journalists “shouldn’t be doing that with wives,” which is an absurd statement coming from the candidate who threatened to “spill the beans” on Heidi Cruz and attacked her appearance.
When Blitzer asked him if he would condemn the “anti-Semitic death threats” from his fans, Trump said he wouldn’t condemn them. “I don’t have a message to the fans,” he said, before once again criticizing Ioffe about an article that he never read.
Today, the Anti-Defamation League released a statement saying that Trump “can and should speak up now” against Duke. “If not, his silence will speak volumes.”
His silence on the Ioffe incident, however, already has.
In response to remarks by white supremacist David Duke that opposition to Donald Trump shows that “Jewish supremacists” are “the real problem” -- as well as a barrage of anti-Semitic comments by a minority of Trump supporters on social media, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) called on Mr. Trump to make unequivocally clear anti-Semitism has no place in presidential politics or American society.
“David Duke’s latest remarks – smearing Jews and Jewish Republicans specifically – are as unsurprising as they are hateful. The onus is now on Donald Trump to make unequivocally clear he rejects those sentiments and that there is no room for Duke and anti-Semitism in his campaign and in society,” said Jonathan A. Greenblatt, ADL CEO. “Mr. Trump can and should speak up now. If not, his silence will speak volumes.”
A former KKK Grand Wizard and one of the nation’s most recognizable white supremacists, Duke previously expressed support for the Trump campaign, saying to his white listeners that a vote against Trump was “treason to your heritage.”
Yesterday on his radio program Duke went a step further, blaming Republican Jews for attempting to block him from becoming the nominee, and expostulated: “I think these Jewish extremists have made a terribly crazy miscalculation, because all they’re going to be doing by doing a ‘Never Trump’ movement is exposing their alien, their anti-American, anti-American majority position. … They’re going to push people more into an awareness that the neocons are the problem, that these Jewish supremacists who control our country are the real problem, and the reason why America is not great.”
MacDonald was particularly thrilled that he meets more and more young people at events hosted by groups like the National Policy Institute who “totally get” the “Jewish issues” and “the importance of sustaining white America.”
Duke, for his part, just loved a parody of the movie “300” that white nationalists are circulating, which features Trump killing Jewish and Democratic figures.
Duke said it was high time “to start naming the enemy that’s orchestrating our destruction: If we don’t dispose the Jews, there is no hope for our people.”
“This is not Trump’s job,” Duke said. “It’s our job to give Trump the space to do it eventually.”
He explained that Jews “control” the media, academia and the political world, “and I think that we’ve really got to start going full bore on that. I’m not saying that Trump has to but we’ve got to and that’s the only way we’re going to move people like Trump more toward doing the things we’ve got to do.”
“Here’s a question for you,” Duke asked. “How do we go from this idea, ‘We’re going to build the wall,’ to understanding that Europeans are being wiped out in their land and to start taking a more open position to defend our people and changing the way the media operates and doing trust-busting or whatever to destroy this media establishment that is brainwashing our people every day?”
On his radio program today, white nationalist leader David Duke celebrated Donald Trump’s “amazing victory” in the Indiana primary, which allowed him to become the presumptive Republican nominee for president, hailing Trump for terrifying wealthy “Jewish extremists” and exposing the “Jewish supremacists who control our country.”
The former KKK leader said that Republican elites have been working to undermine Trump just as they worked against him when he ran for governor of Louisiana as a Republican in 1991. He particularly took issue with Trump’s former Republican rival Ted Cruz taking money from a “Jewish leftist commie,” arguing that Jewish financiers are bent on “destroying the Republican Party” by targeting people like Trump and himself.
“Jewish chutzpah knows no bounds,” he said.
“The Trump campaign at a whole series of levels is a great opportunity for us to expose the people who really run the Republican Party, who run the Democratic Party, who run the political establishment and who are leading us all to disaster,” Duke said. “Even though Trump is not explicitly talking about European-Americans, he is implicitly talking about the interests of European-Americans.”
“Jewish extremists” have “made a terribly crazy miscalculation” by opposing Trump, Duke added, “because all they’re really going to be doing by doing a ‘Never Trump’ movement is exposing their alien, anti-American, anti-American-majority position to all the Republicans and they’re going to push people more into awareness that the neocons are the problem, that these Jewish supremacists who control our country are the real problem and the reason why America is not great.”
Duke urged listeners to “make sure that Trump understands that we expect him to follow through on these things and we expect him to be our White Knight, our advocate and our person.”
He said that white nationalists must continue to move the political center to the right in order to make Trump’s ideas more mainstream.
“This is a movement to take America back, and when we say ‘take America back,’ we know exactly what that means,” Duke said, “and I think everybody who says that knows what it means. And if we don’t keep putting that heat, if we don’t keep pushing the envelope over, we’ve got to be so far to the right — maybe that’s the wrong for it, ‘right-wing,’ ‘left-wing,’ doesn’t have much meaning — but so far to the right for our people that Trump seems moderate so that he will have space to move to the right himself because we’ve got to start an evolutionary movement to the right.”
Yesterday on his radio show, former KKK leader David Duke reiterated his praise for Donald Trump, saying that critics’ attempts to compare the GOP presidential frontrunner to Adolf Hitler will backfire and end up “rehabilitating that fellow with the mustache back there in Germany.”
He also urged listeners to continue to support Trump before the government wipes out “the European-American majority.”
The reason there’s a war on Donald Trump is because there’s a war on the real America, there’s a war on the European-American majority of the United States of America. The media has been the ones inciting hatred and violence. They have portrayed Donald Trump as a vicious racist who basically wants to create a Hitlerian regime; that’s what they present him as, which is, of course, the biggest boogeyman and the most hateful thing these days you can say about something. There’s millions of movies, programs, speeches, invoking — that is like invoking the great Satan in our society and that’s what they invoke of Donald Trump. And whatever you want to say about Donald Trump, there’s no way you can say any of this stuff, it’s crazy, but they say this.
The truth is, by the way, they might be rehabilitating that fellow with the mustache back there in Germany, because I saw a commercial against Donald Trump, a really vicious commercial, comparing what Donald Trump said about preserving America and making America great again to Hitler in Germany preserving Germany and making Germany great again and free again and not beholden to these Communists on one side, politically who were trying to destroy their land and their freedom, and the Jewish capitalists on the other, who were ripping off the nation through the banking system. We have the same thing going on here with Goldman Sachs. It was a commercial, I saw that this morning and I was amazed by that commercial. It was a commercial against Trump but I don’t think it’s having the effect that they want it to have.
This war that’s going on against Donald Trump is really a war going on against America, it’s a war going on against the European-American majority. The media has incited hatred and violence and repression of Donald Trump and the hundreds of thousands, the millions of people who support him, and that’s what happened in Chicago.
You know, if you love your country and if you love, or at least what your country is supposed to represent, what it originally represented, because I don’t know if we can everything love our government — we certainly can’t love everything our government is doing today because the leaders of this country, the people who have control over this country, are purposefully wiping ... If you’re a European person, the government is purposefully wiping you out and your families and your children and your future. They are purposefully transforming this country into a Third World nation. And if you want to see the direction of this country, just look at a Communist here, Bernie Sanders, running and winning a lot of victories in major states, and who is a former Communist and is a Marxist right now, folks.
Former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke’s support for Donald Trump, and the GOP presidential frontrunner’s initial refusal to condemn him, must be awkward news for Family Research Council president Tony Perkins.
While Perkins’ group, the Family Research Council, insisted that “Mr. Perkins profoundly opposes the racial views of Mr. Duke and was profoundly grieved to learn that Duke was a party to the company that had done work for the 1996 campaign,” that didn’t stop Perkins from speaking years later to the CCC, a group that aims to “oppose all efforts to mix the races of mankind, to promote non-white races over the European-American people through so-called ‘affirmative action’ and similar measures, to destroy or denigrate the European-American heritage, including the heritage of the Southern people, and to force the integration of the races.”
Which brings us to the Monday edition of Perkins’ “Washington Watch” radio show, where a caller who identified as a Cruz supporter said she wanted people to know that “Donald Trump is being backed by the Ku Klux Klan.”
Perkins told the caller he was “glad to hear” that Trump disavowed Duke and the Klan, noting that days later Trump had said that “he didn’t know who David Duke was.”
“Let me just say there’s no room for racism and hatred in our national politics of that sort, based upon those immutable characteristics of race,” Perkins said. “I hope he does disavow any type of support like that.”
While he is rightfully upset that Trump feigned ignorance about Duke, Perkins may want to refresh his memory about his own relationship with Duke and white nationalists.
On his radio show yesterday, white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke reiterated his support for Donald Trump, who, in a recent CNN interview, refused to disavow him and other white supremacists who have come out in support of his presidential campaign.
Duke said that Trump’s election is essential for the “survival” of America from the “Zionists and the Jewish tribal extremists”:
We must understand that we are now in a struggle for the survival of European mankind. We must never mince our words about that. We are going down in numbers, all over the world. Mass immigration is going to completely remake our countries, our politics, our values, our religious beliefs, everything in which we identify with; everything and every value we have and the most critical issue facing the United States of America is whether or not we are going to remain an overwhelmingly European nation with the values of western Christian civilization or whether we’re going to become some sort of Third World nation and whether or not we’re going to be continued to be robbed and exploited and oppressed by the ultimate ethnic supremacists, of course, we’re talking about the Zionists and the Jewish tribal extremists.
That doesn’t mean every Jew, and I’m not attacking every Jewish person, at all. And there are some Jews like Gilad Atzmon that actually speaks against Jewish tribalism. But those are the rulers. It’s obvious now to everybody. The top seven Super PACs of Hillary Clinton are all Jewish Zionists. No wonder she’s always supported these insane wars for Israel in the Middle East orchestrated by neocons for the interests of Israel rather than America. We have the same thing going on with the Republican Party today. The only person who has stepped out of that agenda has been Donald Trump.
Duke added that a vote for Trump is “the best thing we can do” to fight “mass immigration” and “the international bankers,” telling listeners that “it’s very, very important that he wins this election for both the Republican nomination – and I think it’s important for him to win the presidency of the United States.”
Last month, David Duke stopped by the white nationalistradio show “The Political Cesspool” to discuss his relationship with House Republican Whip Steve Scalise, who reportedly spoke at a 2002 gathering held by Duke’s European-American Unity and Rights Organization when he was a state lawmaker in Louisiana. Duke blamed the controversy on the supposed Jewish establishment, which he claimed controls the media and wants to throw “European-Americans” into gulags, and which he said sees Scalise as a potential threat down the road.
Duke said that he consistently won “over 60 percent of the popular vote in [Scalise’s] congressional district” in his various campaigns for elected office, and therefore people who condemn Scalise “for meeting with me or voting for me, they are condemning the people of Louisiana.”
Referencing Scalise’s reported 1999 statement that he was “like David Duke without the baggage,” Duke said the congressman “agreed with all of my ideas, but my God, you got to be able to get elected.”
“They think anybody out there who agrees with my ideas, they will destroy them, it’s not going to help you to run like a rabbit with the tail between your legs,” Duke said. “Now he’s really going to be careful, he’s not going to do anything.”
Duke added: “They’re just afraid Scalise is really like me underneath and he may someday be their enemy because just about everybody in my district understands the real power behind the throne in this country, they understand the real ethnic racism that runs this nation and controls our foreign policy.”
Duke, of course, was referring to the “Zionists” whom he claims control both political parties.
“The real problem in America is racism,” Duke said. “Now, that sounds funny coming from David Duke; the problem is racism, there is a racism that rules America, but it’s not white racism, it is what you can just plainly say is Jewish racism, Jewish supremacism. They have literally taken over our Hollywood media, our news media, our entertainment media, our music media.”
Claiming that the supposed Jewish “control of the media” has made African Americans more violent, Duke went on to describe Nicki Minaj as “the most obscene individual, degraded individual, filthy individual I’ve ever heard in my life. I think she’s pretty much rivaled, though, by Miley Cyrus, who is unfortunately one of our own.”
Duke warned that “Jewish power” is sowing political conflict and using mass immigration to throw America into civil war by “getting rid of the people who were the vast majority of America, even though we’re fading fast, that is European-Americans.”
“There is no other question” than “the Jewish question,” Duke continued, alleging that Jews who control all segments of influence will turn America into a “Bolshevik state.”
“We’re moving towards Bolshevism, we’re moving towards tyranny. Every day we’re losing our rights and it’s the same as what happened in the Soviet Union and the day will come when they’ll haul millions of us out to the gulags and die,” he said. “Unless we stand up and defeat them.”
The Republican Party never ceases to amaze me. For a party whose problems with minorities are well documented, you would think the GOP would be sensitive to anything that could further erode their reputation among this growing population. Yet after learning that the new House Majority Whip Steve Scalise gave a speech to a white supremacist organization led by former Ku Klux Klan leader, David Duke, Speaker Boehner and the rest of the Republican Party are standing by their man.
Let me just say that again. The # 3 Republican in the House of Representatives gave a speech to a white supremacists group in 2002 led by a former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard! Rep. Scalise even described himself as “David Duke without the baggage.”
The Center for American Progress released a report on Tuesday which underscores the growth in population of the people white supremacist organizations despise. At the heart of the report was the question of whether the Republican party could begin to make inroads with voters of color in order to compete in presidential elections. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that if recent actions are any indication, it’s not looking likely.
People For the American Way and our friends at American Bridge released a Spanish-language ad Monday highlighting Scalise’s actions and reminding Latino voters what the Republican party is really all about. The web ad will run in Virginia and Colorado. Read more about the ad here, and check it out below:
