Two years ago, when then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before a Senate panel investigating the 2012 Benghazi attack, Sen. Rand Paul quizzed her about a report, which first emerged on the conspiracy theory outlet WorldNetDaily, alleging that the U.S. was secretly transferring arms from Libya to Syrian rebels through Turkey. Paul admitted at the time that he did not “have any proof” to back up his claims, and a Republican-led House committee later debunked the theory.
Not having any evidence hasn’t stopped Benghazi conspiracy theorists before, and it isn’t stopping them now.
Today, Tom Fitton, president of the right-wing group Judicial Watch, spoke with WorldNetDaily’s Jerome Corsi — best known for spreading bizarre rumors about Obama’s birth certificate and secret gay life and passing them off as journalism — about another conspiracy theory that his group has cooked up about the Benghazi attack.
Fitton alleges that the Obama administration wanted Ambassador Chris Stevens to get kidnapped so they could then release Omar Abdel-Rahman, an Egyptian Islamist convicted of seditious conspiracy for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, in return for Stevens’ freedom.
What proof does Judicial Watch have? Like Sen. Rand Paul, Fitton freely admitted that his group has “no evidence” at all, besides claims made by other Benghazi conspiracy theorists.
Did the Obama administration plan to allow a U.S. ambassador to be kidnapped to set up a prisoner-exchange scenario that would provide a pretext for releasing the “Blind Sheik” imprisoned for plotting the 1993 World Trade Center bombing?
That’s one of the provocative explanations for the administration’s puzzling actions before, during and after the Benghazi attack that has prompted an investigation by the Washington, D.C.-watchdog Judicial Watch.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton told WND Tuesday his group is preparing to take legal steps to force government disclosure of documents pertaining to plans the Obama administration had to release “Blind Sheik” Omar Abdel-Rahman, who is serving a life sentence at the Butner Federal Correction Institution in North Carolina.
“Given what we know now, it is not out of the realm of possibility that the terrorist attack on Benghazi could have been a kidnapping attempt aimed at releasing the Blind Sheik,” Fitton said.
He noted, however, there is “no evidence” that the Obama administration may have been complicit in any kidnapping plot related to the Benghazi attack.
Reps. Steve King and Michele Bachmann recently chatted with Jerome Corsi, the chief reporter of the conspiracy theory website WorldNetDaily, about the increase in unaccompanied minors crossing the border.
King, a Republican from Iowa, told Corsi that instead of “scattering these kids all over the country,” they should house them all in a tent city along the border.
For her part, Bachmann said that “100 percent of the girls coming up from Guatemala were on birth control” because they expected to be raped along the way to the U.S.
Rep. Steve Stockman claimed yesterday that President Obama is using the crisis of unaccompanied minors crossing the southern border as part of an effort to enforce his “Third World view.”
“Obama adopts a Third World view and demands not only we allow these people to remain, but suggests we should start teaching our children Spanish,” the Texas Republican told WorldNetDaily yesterday.
WorldNetDaily notes that Stockman was referring to remarks Obama gave at a campaign stop in 2008, where he was discussing the need for Americans, especially students, to learn more than one language. WND conveniently neglects to mention that Obama began his remarks by saying, “I agree that immigrants should learn English.”
And, of course, teaching children Spanish is nothing new — public schools across the country for decades have included Spanish classes in foreign language education.
Rep. Michele Bachmann, who spoke with WND for the same article, also skewered the Obama administration, alleging that officials “knew back then that this teenager invasion from Central America was on the way” and prepared a “school-in-a-box” to handle the young migrants.
Stockman is concerned Obama’s open-border policies, which have enticed a flood of unaccompanied illegal alien children to come to the border, are intended to push the United States toward a tipping point demographically.
“It’s a bizarre concept when you think about it,” Stockman told WND. “But what Obama is saying is that you have foreign guests in your house, and instead of them learning your language, you are expected to learn theirs.”
Stockman charged that Obama’s goal in allowing the current invasion from Central America is to change American culture fundamentally.
“Obama devalues the principles upon which this country was established,” he said. “He’s angered at Americans, as if we were the people causing the problems south of the border. So Obama adopts a Third World view and demands not only we allow these people to remain but suggests we should start teaching our children Spanish.”
Stockman questioned the political left’s insistence that compassion requires the U.S. to allow the unaccompanied minors to remain in the country even though they have crossed the border illegally.
Bachmann said she found evidence the Obama administration was anticipating the onslaught of young illegal aliens. The huge, DHS-contracted shelter facility operated by a nonprofit group was given was up and running in January.
“The facility was new, all decked-out, with classroom facilities and everything, and it looked to us like it was a ‘school-in-a-box’ prepared in January, evidently because the Obama administration knew back then that this teenager invasion from Central America was on the way,” Bachmann said.
Right-wing activist Joel Gilbert is out with another “documentary” that portrays President Obama as a “real life Wizard of Oz” bent on ushering in communism through welfare programs and immigration. The trailer for “There’s No Place Like Utopia” features interviews with conservative pundits like David Horowitz, Jerome Corsi and Jack Cashill.
Gilbert’s previous movie, “Dreams From My Real Father,” alleged that Obama’s father is labor activist Frank Marshall Davis, which he believes the president has tried to cover up by getting a nose job. Gilbert has also speculated that Obama orchestrated the Aurora movie theater shooting, stole the 2012 presidential election and wears a secret Muslim wedding ring (which you can see here).
As WND reports, Gilbert has put together quite the exposé:
In the film, Gilbert explores many serious social, political and economic questions, including:
• Why Barack Obama is the real life Wizard of Oz;
• How the roots of the progressive agenda represent utopia on earth;
• How political correctness is silencing American free speech;
• Why the Democratic Party wants Americans dependent on government;
• Why Peggy Joseph, the Florida voter who in 2008 claimed Obama would pay for her gas and mortgage now believes Obama is a fraud;
• Whether or not a “vast left wing conspiracy” exist in America today;
• Why Chicago and Newark could become the new Detroit;
• Why African Americans are against amnesty for illegals.
Gilbert, in his cross-country quest, asks the audience to answer the fundamental questions of whether or not “the progressive hopes for a utopia on earth are a real destination for the future of America, or does the true path to happiness still remain faith, family and hard work back home in Kansas?”
In the end, Gilbert rejects progressive utopia and embraces traditional American values as the best choice for the future.
RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.
It turns out that getting in bed with anti-government extremist Cliven Bundy wasn’t the best idea for conservative pundits hoping to stoke anti-Obama sentiment. Now, they may also want to consider ditching serial fabricator Todd Starnes and conspiracy theorist David Horowitz as well.
5. Todd Starnes Embarrasses Himself, Again
When Fox News pundit Todd Starnes started publicizing the story of a Florida girl who said that a teacher told her to stop praying during lunch because “it’s not good to pray,” we had our suspicions. After all, Starnes habitually publishes Christian-persecution horror stories that end up being completely fabricated.
As luck would have it, it turned out that the girl in question was the daughter of the man in charge of publicizing Starnes’ book on supposed cases of anti-Christian persecution, a fact which Starnes conveniently failed to disclose in his original report.
And this week, a school investigation found that “there is no way possible” that the person identified by the girl as the one who stopped her from praying “was anywhere near the lunchroom” when she said the event occurred.
“For what the school endured, this is very vindicating,” a school district spokesman told the Orlando Sentinel, citing the harassment the elementary school received following Starnes’ bogus reporting.
4. Matt Barber Doesn’t Understand How Satire Works
Since Religious Right activists still frequently cite a sarcastic 1987 essay called “Gay Revolutionary,” it was no surprise to see anti-gay activists seizing this month on William Saletan’s obviously satirical article titled “Purge the Bigots” about the firing of Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich.
The Iowa-based group The Family Leader, led by Bob Vander Plaats, pointed to Saletan’s column to warn that gays want Christians to be “eliminated,” illustrating their blog post with a photo of a concentration camp.
Liberty Counsel’s Matt Barber wrote an entire column denouncing Saletan …until he was forced to rewrite it after realizing that the Slate writer’s essay was a satire.
That’s okay, as sometimes we think Barber’s purportedly serious columns are so funny that we mistake them for satire.
3. Blame Obama For Kansas City Shooting!
Did President Obama inspire a former Ku Klux Klan leader to target Kansas City Jewish centers in a deadly shooting spree? In the deranged world of right-wing paranoia, the answer is an obvious yes. Appearing on Sean Hannity’s radio show, conservative luminary David Horowitz said the shooter was “encouraged by the American left” and argued that Obama has incited anti-Semitism.
“[A]fter the Second World War, there was a certain intolerance towards these types of attitudes, thanks to the American left, which goes right into the White House,” he added. “Obama is also responsible for this — attacking Israel.... And the truth is that Barack Obama is a menace to American security, and the sooner — and of course you can't impeach him because you can't impeach the first black president.”
Erik Rush for his part blamed Obama for fueling the country’s “anti-Semitic tone” and “fomenting racial discord between various races, between blacks and whites.”
2. New Birther Hysteria
While WorldNetDaily has been the source of many (debunked) birther conspiracy theories, the outlet has tried to cover up its birther past in order to make way for the Canadian-born Ted Cruz’s possible presidential bid. But in a last-ditch effort to save its dying cause, WND’s Jerome Corsi now claims that a British “self-proclaimed intelligence expert” has bombshell evidence that will redeem the birther movement.
“[Michael] Shrimpton contends to this day that the CIA collected DNA from then-Sen. Obama and a grandparent, establishing that Stanley Ann Dunham was not Obama’s biological mother,” Corsi reports. “Shrimpton says he was informed that Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya, in about 1960, which means, he said, the information sits in British intelligence files, because that territory was under the British Empire at the time.”
In fact, Shrimpton says “Edward Snowden, as part of his negotiations to leave Hong Kong, agreed to deliver to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow the classified U.S. military intelligence file on Obama’s DNA.”
While Shrimpton has yet to reveal to Corsi — or anyone else for that matter — this shocking evidence, he insists that this is part of a wider cover-up of the nefarious activities of a secret German intelligence agency that he says is behind a potential nuclear attack on the London Olympics, an international pedophile ring linked to Tony Blair and the missing Malaysia Airlines plane.
We cannot wait for Corsi’s next report on Shrimpton’s clearly credible testimony.
1. Cliven Bundy Meltdown
But it seems that deciding to lionize and rally around a militant anti-government extremist wasn’t the best choice, as now Bundy is getting attention not for his “patriotism” but for his deranged racist rant.
“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do. “And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked.
“They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”
WorldNetDaily super reporter Jerome Corsi is positively giddy about a court case in the UK in which a “self-proclaimed intelligence expert,” Michael Shrimpton, insists he will reveal proof that President Obama was born in Kenya and DNA evidence showing that Stanley Ann Dunham was not the president’s real mother.
According to Shrimpton, “the DNA samples were collected at a fundraising dinner from water glasses that were bagged after the dinner,” and “NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, as part of his negotiations to leave Hong Kong, agreed to deliver to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow the classified U.S. military intelligence file on Obama’s DNA.”
WND commentator Lord Christopher Monckton, a vocal birther who wants Obama imprisoned, has jumped on the Shrimpton case in hopes that it will vindicate the birther movement and is denouncing the “monumentally stupid and fatally misconceived hate campaign” against Shrimpton.
As Ben Dimiero of Media Matters writes, “Apparently WND is desperate enough to keep birther conspiracies alive that they are willing to highlight allegations that even they seemingly find implausible.”
WND has also reported on Shrimpton’s related conspiracy theory that a terrorist group planned to launch an attack on the London Olympics with a nuclear weapon stolen from a sunken Russian submarine.
But that’s not all, as Shrimpton even claims to have evidence showing that “a secret German intelligence agency” known as DVD is behind a major pedophile ring linked to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and is responsible for Madeleine McCann’s abduction. On top of that, Shrimpton claims that the purported German secret intelligence unit/pedophile ring worked with China to blow up the missing Malaysia Airlines plane with a submarine.
Corsi naturally interviewed WND “investigative reporter” Jack Cashill to corroborate Shrimpton’s Malaysia Airlines claim:
Shrimpton believes Madeleine McCann was murdered in or about December 2008, after she had been transported by German submarine to pedophile rings operating in Argentina and Chile.
Since 2008, Shrimpton in various published reports has tied EU President Jose Manuel Barroso and former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair to the international pedophile rings that abducted the McCann child.
Monckton observed that by forcing Shrimpton to defend himself in a jury trial in November, the Crown Prosecution Service could force disclosure of documents and testimony in a sex scandal that could conceivably involve government officials in the U.K. and the EU, assuming Judge McCreath allows Shrimpton to pursue the topic to establish a factual basis for his suspicions.
Shrimpton faces his own sex-related charges. He is appealing his conviction in a summary court judgment of a criminal misdemeanor charge for having on his computer pornographic images. The images were discovered by British police after government officials in conjunction with filing criminal indictments regarding the 2012 Olympics case seized from his home his computers and electronic equipment.
Shrimpton insists he did not place the images on his computer. He contends the government has no evidence that would link him to the source of the images.
On March 15, Shrimpton published in his blog at VeteransToday.com an article claiming a 636 Kilo class Chinese submarine brought down the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 using a Chinese-made copy of a Hughes Aircraft AIM-54A Phoenix missile, originally supplied to Iran in the 1970s.
The search for the missing Boeing 777 most recently focused on a wide expanse of the Indian Ocean to the west of Australia, but now befuddled searchers say they may have to start the investigation from scratch.
An investigation of past airline disasters suggests Shrimpton’s claim is plausible.
Cashill explained that while he might not agree with Shrimpton that the Chinese intentionally shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, he remained suspicious the Chinese might have shot down the airliner accidentally and were seeking to cover-up the incident.
WorldNetDaily reporter Jerome Corsi, a leader of the birther movement, is enthralled by Michael Shrimpton, a British “self-proclaimed intelligence expert” who claims that Edward Snowden possesses evidence proving that Stanley Ann Dunham is not President Obama’s real mother and that Obama was actually born in Kenya.
In his article, “Obama’s Origins Resurface At Intel Expert’s Trial,” Corsi claims that Shrimpton has the latest birther bombshell: “Edward Snowden, as part of his negotiations to leave Hong Kong, agreed to deliver to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow the classified U.S. military intelligence file on Obama’s DNA,” revealing that Obama was “born in Mombasa, Kenya, in about 1960” and “establishing that Stanley Ann Dunham was not Obama’s biological mother.”
In a nearly empty courtroom at the Southwerk Crown Court by the historic London Bridge, a hearing took place in a criminal case that not only has national security implications for the United Kingdom, but, curiously, is woven into the increasingly bizarre fabric of the controversy over Barack Obama’s presidential eligibility.
When it came his time to speak, defendant Michael Shrimpton, a middle-aged London barrister by profession and self-proclaimed intelligence expert, politely issued to the judge a series of interrogatories that made clear he plans to launch a vigorous defense, representing himself before the court.
The criminal charges brought by the British government against Shrimpton under Section 51(2) of the Criminal Law Act 1977 accuse him of falsely notifying the British government to prepare for a terrorist nuclear attack on the 2012 Olympics in London that the British government claims had no basis in reality.
It’s the same Michael Shrimpton who appears in a 2008 video that began re-circulating earlier this year on the Internet in which he claims to have been privy to shocking intelligence information on Obama’s origins. Shrimpton contends to this day that the CIA collected DNA from then-Sen. Obama and a grandparent, establishing that Stanley Ann Dunham was not Obama’s biological mother.
Shrimpton says he was informed that Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya, in about 1960, which means, he said, the information sits in British intelligence files, because that territory was under the British Empire at the time.
Shrimpton said it was his understanding that the DNA samples were collected at a fundraising dinner from water glasses that were bagged after the dinner.
In conversations with WND, nevertheless, Shrimpton doubled down on the claims he made in 2008 by asserting that NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, as part of his negotiations to leave Hong Kong, agreed to deliver to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow the classified U.S. military intelligence file on Obama’s DNA.
Shrimpton made clear he intends to subpoena from the CIA and from British intelligence any records either agency may have on Obama’s DNA.
“I intend to stand by my allegations regarding the Obama birth certificate, knowing that U.S. intelligence agencies will prefer to characterize me as crazy and delusional rather than admit the CIA has the files I believe they have on Obama DNA,” Shrimpton insisted.
Last week, Jerome Corsi was a guest on TheDoveTV where he promoted his latest conspiracy theory that the Obama Administration is encouraging gay people to sign up for Obamacare because they are "afflicted disproportionately by AIDS and other health issues" and will run up the cost of private insurance, eventually crashing the entire system and forcing the government to implement a single-payer universal healthcare plan.
Claiming that medical care for those with HIV and AIDS costs up to a half million dollars a year, Corsi said "the White House has made a major push in the LGBT community to get LGBTs enrolled in health care" in order to make private insurers bear costs that are unsustainable and will collapse the private insurance market, at which point the government can step in and take it over:
Birther conspiracy theorist and Tom DeLay co-author Jerome Corsi appeared on InfoWars with Alex Jones to explain his theory that President Obama and Raila Odinga, the former prime minister of Kenya, “made this pact with the radical Islamists in Kenya that was going to allow Al Qaeda to come through the door through Somalia into Kenya,” and are therefore to blame for the Nairobi mall attack by the Al Qaeda-linked group al-Shabab.
He said Obama and Odinga “engineered” an “open door to Somali terrorists to pour into” Kenya. “This is the Saudis backing Al Qaeda, joined by Obama backing Al Qaeda,” Corsi maintained.
“This is basically Obama behind jihadis, connected to this attack,” Jones contended. “So they are using Al Qaeda worldwide as the proxy war to take over all these countries in North Africa and now into Kenya.”
“They are going to turn everything over to radical Muslims,” he continued. “So Obama is lowering the drawbridge from Egypt to Syria to Kenya to Libya to Central Asia to everywhere to bring in Al Qaeda, this is high treason.”
First of all, Corsi’s reporting on Obama’s supposed ties to Odinga has been widely discredited, as Obama never endorsed, advised or campaigned for Odinga. And while Corsi claims that Odinga is an Islamist, he is in fact an evangelical Christian.
While Corsi tried to paint Odinga as a friend of al-Shabab, in fact, Odinga called for Kenyan troops to wage an “onslaught” against the extremist group and tried to win Western aid for their fight in Somalia.
Corsi went on to allege that Saudi Arabia has been helping the Muslim Brotherhood take over the Middle East and North Africa—which is hard to believe seeing that the Saudis were the chief funders and supporters of Egypt’s military government that pushed the Muslim Brotherhood out of power.
The interview continues devolve as they claim that high-ranking military officers, including the Joint Chiefs, listen to InfoWars and that is why Obama wasn’t able to attack Syria. Corsi also charged that CIA Director John Brennan “converted” to Islam and is a “puppet of the Saudis.”
“We are Al Qaeda, we have always been Al Qaeda,” Corsi said.
On Tuesday, Jerome Corsi chatted with VCY America’s Vic Eliason about what he insists are President Obama’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, lamenting that Republicans have been “cowered” and refuse to attack Obama and his fellow Democrats over the issue.
Why? Because, he says, Democrats have made Republicans afraid of being called “racist,” a ploy that Corsi claims was originally created by the KGB to advance “a socialist or communist agenda.”
The Democrats have cowered many Republicans into thinking that just by calling the Republicans racist they can back off any criticism of Obama. Democrats have been very successful with that technique. By the way Vic, it was a technique first recommended by the KGB to use for the left. It was recommended back in the late 1950s as a way to win the argument and advance as progressives what was really a socialist or communist agenda. Corsi, who believes Obama is married to a Muslim man and wears a secret Muslim ring (which you can see here), even floated treason charges over the allegations that Obama is financing “Muslim Brotherhood agents.”
Corsi, who believes Obama is married to a Muslim man and wears a secret Muslim ring (which you can see here), even floated treason charges over the allegations that Obama is financing “Muslim Brotherhood agents.”
Later in the interview, the WorldNetDaily “journalist” maintained that “Obama is widely regarded as being Muslim Brotherhood,” either as a member or sympathizer, by most people in the Middle East.
If there was ever going to be a charge of treason, or let’s put it even less—how about Iran-Contra where Ronald Reagan was diverting funds from one purpose stated by Congress to paying bribes, essentially, to Iran in a very complicated scheme that benefited the Contras in Nicaragua. That was an enormous problem for Reagan when it surfaced. Iran-Contra pales in significance to this. This is millions of dollars going to a foreign government to pay Muslim Brotherhood agents.
In the Middle East, Obama is widely regarded as being Muslim Brotherhood. Countries that I’ve visited or communicate with, or read in terms of getting translated, it’s very, very clear that the Muslim Brotherhood is—people in the Middle East believe Obama is not only sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood but probably a member, certainly as close to being a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. That’s how they perceive him.
Jerome Corsi and Sandy Rios got together once again yesterday to discuss how the left is destroying America, and the two agreed that President Obama is basically operating like Mao Zedong. Corsi alleged that the left “engineered” the breakdown of the family in order to grow the size of government and increase racial polarization: “This demonizing on race which Obama does, you know Obama is a race divider because it riles up his base, it’s Saul Alinsky.”
“Mao Zedong did that in China,” Rios added. Corsi argued that Obama is stoking racial and class divisions in order to concentrate power and ultimately “crush the middle class and get rid of the press.” “Which is what’s happening,” Rios replied.
Corsi concluded that the left started the NSA surveillance program in order to “crush opposition” and introduce fascism.
Last week, the Eagle Forum hosted its annual Collegians Summit in Washington, DC at which several members of Congress spoke, as did WND's leading Birther and resident crackpot Jerome Corsi, who warned the students in attendance that gay marriage will lead to polygamy and pedophilia that will turn America into a modern-day version of pagan Rome.
Corsi went on to warn that once gay marriage is established as constitutional, then it will only be a matter of time before that religious leaders will be dragged out of their pulpits and charged with a hate crime for daring to preach against homosexuality:
In a speech recently posted online, prolific conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi claims that the gay rights movement will ultimately lead to the legalization of pedophilia, bestiality and “snuff films” in which you “kill a few people because it’s sexually exciting.”
“If sex becomes disassociated from a biblical purpose, than all the abuses we saw in paganism are about to return,” Corsi warns, adding that if the country “proceeds down this path…there will no longer be any basis for freedom in the United States.”
On her Eagle Forum Live radio program last weekend, Phyllis Schlafly was joined by eminent conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi. Corsi, who is promoting his new book on the American Civil Liberties Union, told Schalfly that the ACLU and progressives are using the Supreme Court marriage cases as a way to enact hate speech laws and shut down churches. Schlafly agreed, saying, “I do think that the main goal of the homosexuals is to silence any criticism. Most of them aren’t interested in getting married.”
Later in the conversation, Schlafly compared a potential Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality to the infamous Dred Scott decision.
Corsi: The ACLU has been very strong behind the same-sex marriage. They have a whole section of the ACLU devoted to the LGBT agenda, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. And, Phyllis, if we get the Supreme Court saying that there’s a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, I think the next thing that’s going to happen is that we’re going to see an attempt to define hate speech, any minister or priest who from the pulpit condemns homosexual behavior from a scriptural basis or on principles of Judeo-Christian faith. And following that, the left will not only try to close that church down, but they’ll do it through pressing to take the tax-exempt status away from the church because the priest or the minister doesn’t agree with their agenda and is now engaged in ‘hate speech.’
Schlafly: Well, I do think that the main goal of the homosexuals is to silence any criticism. Most of them aren’t interested in getting married. But I think that’s what they want to do, and they’re starting out by trying it in the schools.
Schlafly: If five people on the Supreme Court are able to overturn our definition of marriage, which we’ve had for centuries, we had even before the Pilgrims landed on the Atlantic coast, there’s something wrong with our system. As Abraham Lincoln said in a famous, in his First Inaugural, in describing the Dred Scott case, probably the worst decision in history, and he said, okay, we have to accept what they decided for poor old Dred Scott. But we don’t have to accept it as a precedent and as something that will rule us forever, and we’re going to get this overturned. And if we don’t, we will be just simply subjects of what he called ‘that imminent tribunal.’ And we need to speak out. And before they hand down that decision, you need to pray that they come to the right decision and you all need to get your pastor to tell his congregation to pray for it.
Earlier this week, we reported that Schlafly is calling for a reinstatement of the House Un-American Activities Committee in response to the Boston Marathon bombings. When a caller asked why the ACLU couldn’t be tried for “subversive activity,” Schlafly repeated her demand to reinstate HUAC, and Corsi agreed.
Caller: The question I have is, how is it that no one has taken the ACLU to task in the courtroom and basically charged them with subversive activity?
Schlafly: Well, personally, Dr. Corsi, I think we need a new House Un-American Activities Committee, but I’ll let you answer your way.
Corsi: I’m in favor of it.
Master birther Jerome Corsi visited the Janet Mefferd show last week to promote his new book Bad Samaritans, a “scorching expose” of the American Civil Liberties Union. Like with most of his work, Corsi’s analysis of the ACLU is light on the truth and heavy on the grand conspiracy theories. He tells Mefferd that the ACLU is now promoting pedophilia “as the next sexual horizon” and seeking to indict pastors with non-existent hate speech laws. All of this, Corsi argues, means that “we’re headed right back to the paganism, maybe a broader form of paganism, that was the ancient world.”
Corsi: The ACLU has championed same-sex marriage, and along with same-sex marriage advocates, got a very effective public relations campaign arguing, you know, ‘How would you deny these two men who are in love or two women the ability to be happy,’ emotional issues. But now the ACLU is doing two things. One, they’re pushing the envelope, they’re arguing that pedophilia should be accepted next, as the next sexual horizon that is just a sexual orientation, and we should accept it as natural.
Mefferd: That’s sick.
Corsi: And they’re also arguing that any of the, the clergy, silencing the Church and ministers so that anybody who speaks out on a moral issue, objecting to, say, same-sex marriage on a moral or scriptural basis from Judeo-Christian principles, that’s hate speech and the person’s committing a crime. I mean, the left is not going to be tolerant when the window is fully pushed open and anyone who objects to their agenda is going to be suspect and silenced. And the problem is that if we continue to expand, you know, if every form of human behavior, sexual behavior, that can be imagined is all accepted and legitimated, well then we’re headed right back to the paganism, maybe a broader form of paganism, that was the ancient world, rejected by Christianity at the fall of the Roman Empire.
Mefferd: Oh, it’s exactly the case.
