Barber: Justice Ginsburg Has Brought 'Shame To America' By Officiating A Same-Sex Marriage Ceremony

Earlier this month, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg became the first Supreme Court justice to officiate a same-sex marriage ceremony and the professional anti-gay bigots over at Liberty Counsel are predictably disgusted.

Matt Barber and Daniel Schmid were deeply disturbed by Ginsburg's participation in a gay wedding, with Barber saying that she had brought "shame to America" by doing so while Schmid said that it proved that the nation was "galloping full speed ahead toward" Gomorrah.

Insisting that no level of government had the right to define the institution of marriage as anything other than what God intended, Schmid said it was a shame that a member of the Supreme Court "would lend credence to such a ceremony and such an abomination," as Barber urged viewers to pray because recognition of gay marriage "essentially results in the criminalization of Christianity":

Barber & Akers: Christians Are Now The Victims Of Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk has become the Religious Right's latest cause célèbre after he was supposedly relieved of duty for opposing gay marriage, which Matt Barber and Shawn Akers see as a sign that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is still in effect in the military, only now it is being applied to Christians.

"In just a few short years," Akers said we've reached "a place where it very well seems safest not to mention your Christianity; we may have very well entered a time of Don't Ask, Don't Tell Christianity within the United States military."

Barber agreed, saying that "like a hordes of locusts," progressives are out to destroy "every noble institution that adheres to traditional values and righteousness and upholds Biblical principles ... It's sad what's happening to America now, folks":

'Clownish': Staver and Barber Outraged By 'The Transgender Traitor,' Chelsea Manning

Shortly after Bradley Manning was convicted of leaking classified information and sentenced to prison, it was announced that the former Army Intelligence Analyst would transition, undergo hormone therapy, and live as a woman named Chelsea.

Predictably, this is not sitting well with Mat Staver or Matt Barber, who cannot believe that this "transgender traitor" is being taken seriously.

Barber declared that any movement is only as strong as its weakest link and "the weakest link in that big, long LGBTQAAALMNOP ... alphabet soup of the absurd, the 'T' for transgender is the weakest link because it is so far removed and detached from reality ... that it is clownish."

Staver agreed, saying that the next time an airline tried to charge an overweight passenger for a second seat, that person should just argue that "I'm a skinny man trapped in an obese man's body":

Barber: The African American Community Is Sick Of Gay Activists Trying To Ride The 'Civil Rights Gravy Train'

Mat Staver and Matt Barber are continuing the Religious Right's crusade against a proposed anti-discrimination ordinance in San Antonio, Texas on their "Faith and Freedom" radio program, where Barber declared that such an ordinance is not even necessary because gays are hardly, if ever, discriminated against.

Saying that gay activists are "probably the most powerful lobby in the world," Barber claimed that anti-gay discrimination is rare because people "bend over backwards to avoid being accused of homophobia or discrimination" before going on to assert that "the African American community at large, the vast majority are sick and tired of this sexual anarchist lobby attaching their little red wagon to the civil rights gravy train":

Barber & Staver: Remaining Silent On Abortion Is Just Like Staying Silent During The Holocaust

Likening legal abortion once again to the Nazi Holocaust, Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver and Matt Barber said on the most recent "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast that those who remain silent on the issue today are no different than those who remained silent while the Nazis murdered millions of Jews, warning that they will be judged accordingly by history.

"This is our modern day holocaust," said Staver, before going on to assert that those who do not speak out in opposition to abortion are standing on the wrong side of history.

Barber then expanded on that point, saying there is "an exact comparison" between the two and declaring that "posterity will view those who stood in silence or who tacitly accepted this abortion holocaust just as history views those who silently stood by and allowed the Nazis to murder millions of Jews":

Right Wing Leftovers - 8/27/13

  • Remember how anti-choice activists accused abortion rights supporters of bringing jars of feces and urine into the Texas Capitol? Turns out their claims were completely false
  • Matt Barber rests his case that the LGBT rights movement is “utterly insane.”
From Obamacare to amnesty for illegal immigrants; from gay marriage to the coercively indoctrinated normalization of homosexuality; from the legal imposition of cowardice by forcing people to flee rather than defend their lives and property, to the relentless push to destroy the Second Amendment's prohibition against disarming their courage – Obama and the power-mad forces he represents are thrusting their bayonets into the soft underbelly of America's way of life.

Barber & Staver Outraged That Chris Christie Thinks He Knows Better Than God

Shortly after New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed legislation banning the use of "ex-gay" therapy on minors, the anti-gay activists at Liberty Counsel announced that they would be filing suit.

On today's "Faith and Freedom" broadcast, Mat Staver and Matt Barber discussed their forthcoming lawsuit and were particularly outraged that, in signing the legislation, Christie said that he doesn't believe that homosexuality is a sin.

Staver vehemently disagreed, stating that homosexuality "is a disordered situation; it is sin; t is wrong."

Barber was likewise outraged, blasting "the hubris behind him saying that he knows better than God, that he knows better than thousands of years of tradition, the Catholic Church, the Christian church, the Bible about homosexuality and the sin inherent in those behaviors":

Barber: 'It May Be A Time For Civil Disobedience'

Matt Barber appeared on the "Today's Issues" broadcast this morning to discuss his most recent column about a bakery in Oregon which has had a complaint filed against it for refusing to provide a wedding cake to a same-sex couple.

In light of this and similar instances around the country, Barber declared that it has become obvious that gay marriage and religious liberty cannot coexist and so "in much the same fashion as did the civil rights activists of old - Martin Luther King and others - Christians are going to have a decision to make; it may be a time for civil disobedience."

"Christians have been persecuted for 2000 years by radical leftists," he said, adding that just as King spent time in jail, anti-gay Christians today might have to suffer the same fate, knowing that they will be rewarded by God for upholding his law and refusing to "pretend that somehow a man can marry a man, a woman can marry a woman."

"You guys can put on two tuxedos or two wedding dresses and play house and get pretend married 'til your heart's content," Barber said, "but marriage is what God says it is.  We can no more change the laws of gravity than can we change the laws of marriage":

Right Wing Leftovers - 8/19/13

  • Liberty Counsel announces that it will file suit to block New Jersey's new law banning the use of "ex-gay" therapy on minors.
  • A "photoshop expert" called into Bryan Fischer's radio program today to support his theory, so that proves that!
  • Scott Brown for president?
  • Matt Barber will not be bullied! "Look, you have every right to dress up in two wedding gowns or two tuxedos, get pretend 'married' and play house to your hearts’ content. You do not have the right, however, to force others to abandon their sincerely held religious beliefs, thousands of years of history and the immutable reality of human biology to engage your little fantasy. No amount of hand-wringing, gnashing of teeth, suing Christians or filing charges against those of us who live in marriage reality will make us recognize your silly so-called 'marriage equality.'"
  • Russell Moore, the incoming president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, says conservative Christians have lost the culture war.
  • Finally, here is the trailer for the first movie being released by Rick Santorum's film company.  It looks like a blockbuster:

  • It really is remarkable how willing people like Matt Barber are to openly accuse us of hating God and America.
  • According to reports, "Cumulus Media, the second-biggest broadcaster in the country, is planning to drop both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity from its stations at the end of the year."
  • Did you know that President Obama's "real mother" is a domestic terrorist who has been on the run from the FBI since 1985? Now you do.
  • Things were so much better when "Coach" Dave was a kid!
  • Finally, near the end of this video, Glenn Beck repeats the myth behind the famous painting of George Washington in prayer and tells his private audience that it is an established fact that is known to be true.

Barber: Obama Acting Like A Dictator, His Presidency Has Been 'An Utter Failure'

Earlier this month it was announced that the employer mandate provision in the health care reform legislation would be delayed until 2015, which Matt Barber sees as evidence that President Obama is acting "less and less like the elected executive of a constitutional republic and more and more like the self-appointed dictator or king in a banana republic."

Barber went on to predict that the legislation will destroy our nation's economy ... and even though the legislation hasn't been implemented yet, Barber declared it to be "an utter failure, hence [Obama's] presidency is an utter failure":

Right Wing Leftovers - 7/19/13

  • Matt Barber says parents of transgender children ought to be investigated for criminal wrongdoing.
  • No, President Obama is not going to take over all media.
  • I guess we shouldn't be surprised that Herman Cain appeared on Rick Wiles' radio program yesterday.
  • Linda Harvey says gay activists and pedophiles have "a plan to introduce sex to children at younger and younger ages to convince them that normal friendship is actually a sexual attraction."
  • Ralph Reed is out with an amazing new offer whereby you can give money to his organization and receive coupons and discounts and ... who knows; it doesn't make much sense.

Barber & Crampton: Federal Marriage Amendment Needed To Stop The 'Homosexualist Juggernaut'

Generally when the Religious Right likens its own efforts to William Wilberforce's crusade to end slavery, they do so when discussing the topic of abortion, but apparently it applies to their fight against marriage equality as well.

In the wake of the Supreme Court's rulings on DOMA and Prop 8, Rep. Tim Huelskamp has introduced a constitutional amendment seeking to ban gay marriage and while Matt Barber and Steve Crampton both realize has no chance of passing, they are going to continue to push for it and stick with it just like Wilberforce did because eventually Christians will realize that their "religious freedom [is] being crushed by the homosexualist juggernaut":

Barber & Crampton: 'The Life Of The Average Homosexual Is Not Controlled By Reason'

A few weeks ago, an anti-gay activist was attacked while protesting a gay pride festival in Seattle by a straight man with a long criminal record and Matt Barber and Steve Crampton are not the least bit surprised because, well, what else can you expect from those who have been given over to a "reprobate mind."

Crampton and Barber warned that these sorts of attacks on anti-gay Christians will only increase in the months and years ahead because, as Crampton explained, "the life of the average homosexual is not controlled by reason" but a perverted lust and passion that has "overwhelmed them." And thus, when you couple that "a lack of self-control" with "the taste of blood," you have a recipe for further bloodletting.

Barber agreed, declaring that gays "define their entire identity based up aberrant sexual behaviors and sexual temptations and acting on those temptations" and so, as Scripture proclaims, they are eventually consumed by this "lust-filled, sex-centric, perversion-centric lifestyle" and ultimately driven by a "dark soul" to commit this sort of violent behavior:

Barber: 'The First Pro-Choicer ... Was Satan Himself'

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio program, Matt Barber and Steve Crampton were particularly disturbed by the recent incident in Texas where some protestors facetiously chanted "Hail Satan" at a rally during the special legislative session called to pass the state's restrictive abortion bill.

While Barber saw it as evidence that "the pro-aborts are losing their minds," Crampton felt that it accurately reflected the contrast between the two sides in this legal battle where "you have the demons from the escorts and the pro-abortion side and angels from the pro-lifers."

And that made perfect sense to Barber, because "the first pro-choicer ... was Satan himself":

Staver: Push For Transgender Rights 'Is The Abolition Of Civil Rights'

On today's "Faith and Freedom" broadcast, Matt Barber and Mat Staver reacted just as you would expect to news that a young transgender girl in Colorado who had won the right to use the girl's bathroom in her school, calling it absurd and delusional and outright child abuse.

Staver asserted that the push for transgender rights is all a part of the "gay agenda's" efforts to create sexual anarchy in order to destroy marriage, morality, and objective truth.

"It this is civil rights, this is the abolition of civil rights," Staver said, "this is the deconstruction of objective reality; it's the deconstruction of law":

Barber: We'll Never Recognize Gay Marriage And Will Be Persecuted For It

On yesterday's "Faith and Freedom" radio program, Mat Staver and Matt Barber urged activists to sign on to the statement released several weeks ago by dozens of anti-gay activists who vowed never to accept any Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality.

And now that the Supreme Court has done just that, the strength of this vow will be tested, but Barber insisted that "we will not cross this line."

"Come what may," Barber proclaimed, "come the persecution, come the penalties, come what may, the full weight of government, we will not pretend that a man can marry a man or a woman can marry a women under any circumstances, in any context whatsoever."

Barber insisted that "the persecution is already starting to happen" and now "the court has opened the floodgates for persecution to occur," so anti-gay activists must be willing to rise up in resistance because "the line in the sand is drawn":
