Tony Perkins: The Draft Is Coming Back, Thanks Obama

At last Saturday’s GOP presidential debate, several Republican candidates expressed openness to having women register with the Selective Service after the Army and Marine Corps chiefs said that the U.S. should make such a move, much to the dismay of the Religious Right.

Yesterday, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins spoke with ex-Rep. Michele Bachmann, both of whom were stunned that Republican leaders would get behind the policy change, which they said would be disastrous for the military.

Perkins kicked things off by warning that “there is a very good likelihood that we could see the draft” in the near future because “the policies of this administration” have weakened the military and “made the world a very dangerous place.” (Back in 2010, Perkins said that “the president’s drive to repeal the ban on open homosexuality in the military” could “bring back the draft.”)

Bachmann said she was “shocked” by the candidates’ remarks in the debate, saying that “it’s crazy.”

“This is a radical idea,” she said. “It’s a darling of the left that’s been put forward actually for several decades but it is put forward, interestingly, by people who tend to be not fans of the military and it’s people who are on this wild tear to bring about the end of male-female. At the core of this argument really, Tony, is that gender doesn’t matter. We’ve seen it in the marriage debate, but we see it now in this combat readiness debate.”

Michele Bachmann: Muslim Migrants Rape Women To Commit Jihad And 'Destroy Western Christendom'

Michele Bachmann spoke with End Times radio hosts Jan Markell and Eric Barger on Saturday about the migration of Muslims into Western Europe and the United States, calling it a “planned invasion” meant to destroy “Western Christendom.”

“This clearly is an invasion,” Bachmann said. “This is a planned invasion, not only in Europe but also in the United States, I believe for the specific purpose of destroying Western Christendom.” Bachmann said that countries with large Muslim minorities like France now experience “Islamic jihad 24/7, terrorist bloodbath attacks 24/7,” warning that the same thing is coming to the U.S. unless we decide to have “no more immigration into the United States.”

Now, Bachmann said, Muslim migrants are raping Western women as part of their religious terrorism.

“The more that come in, the more they act upon their religious convictions and their stated religious convictions,” she said. “The imams from the original countries that they come from, they recruit and send these guys to come in and to bring about this destruction. Right now in Europe it’s called a ‘rape culture’ that’s coming into Sweden and Germany and all across Europe for the specific purpose of Islamizing these countries, and they are falling.”

“Islamists have a plan,” Bachmann later added. “They have a plan to destroy Western Christendom. It’s called civilization jihad. By bringing Islamists into our country and destroying us from in, they don’t need to just have a nuclear bomb. If they send their invading army into our countries and if young men are doing what they did on New Year’s Eve in Cologne, Germany, and other places where they are literally sexually attacking and raping and groping women and causing them to fear, we are looking at a completely ramped-up level of invasion one like we have never seen before.”

“Not only is Europe getting that, the United States is getting that, but we need to recognize what is happening,” she said. “This isn’t unintentional. This is intentional and it’s meant to destroy Western Christendom.”

The former congresswoman and GOP presidential candidate then said that Muslim migrants from countries like Pakistan and Iran may pose as Central American refugees in order to enter the U.S., all thanks to Obama’s refugee policy.

Earlier in the same interview, Bachmann suggested that President Obama is an Antichrist-like figure bringing about the Last Days.

Listen To Michele Bachmann Discuss Whether Obama Is The Antichrist

Last week, Michele Bachmann claimed that the world is rushing into Armageddon, citing a dubious report from a Kuwaiti newspaper, which alleged that President Obama is attempting to lead the United Nations after leaving office but that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is thwarting his effort.

Bachmann told radio hosts Jan Markell and Eric Barger that Obama will turn the UN into an enormously powerful global institution, which she said will pave the way for a joint Russian-Iranian invasion of Israel. The anti-Israel alliance, she said, “lines up with scripture.”

In a follow-up interview that aired on Saturday, Markell came right out and said that while she isn’t sure that Obama is the Antichrist, the Antichrist would be a such a global leader.

Bachmann, in turn, claimed that Obama will make a deal with Russia and Islamic nations such as Iran to create a “super UN” that will run the entire world.

This is not the first time that the former congresswoman and Republican presidential candidate has said that Obama is ushering in the End Times.

Paranoia-Rama: Bernie's Prison Camps, Bachmann's Nightmare And Obama's 'Jihad'

Following a much needed mental health break, Paranoia-Rama is back! However, there may not be much time left for us since, as Michele Bachmann explained this week, the Battle of Armageddon is imminent.

Michele Bachmann: Obama Seeks Global Domination As Battle Of Armageddon Approaches

Former Minnesota Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann said on Saturday that the Syrian Civil War is paving the way for an apocalyptic war between Israel and foreign powers.

Bachmann, who has previously claimed that President Obama and the gay rights movement are ushering in the Last Days, told radio hosts Jan Markell and Eric Barger that “the world is about to give legitimacy to the Islamic State” while, at the same time, Russian and Iranian military intervention in Syria on behalf of its dictator Bashar Assad has paved the way for a future invasion of Israel by the two countries in order to seize its energy resources, just as laid out in the Bible.

“I believe that they are positioning themselves so that someday they could invade Israel to be able to take over the vast stores of oil and natural gas that Israel is controlling,” she said, adding that “this very unique new partnership between Iran and Russia in Syria” with the support of China “lines up with scripture.” All of these powers, she said, are seeking “a global world order to keep their game going into the future and to support them if they would invade against Israel.”

And who will lead this global world order? Why, none other than Obama.

Bachmann cited a report from the right-wing outlet Investor’s Business Daily about a story that originated with the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, which claimed that Obama is trying to become secretary-general of the United Nations while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is thwarting his bid. If this story sounds too strange to be true, that’s probably because it is: We haven’t been able to track down the original Al-Jarida article, but it is the same newspaper which fallaciously reported that Obama threatened to shoot down Israeli aircraft trying to bomb Iran’s nuclear program.

Nonetheless, Bachmann ran with the claim, insisting that Netanyahu is rallying Arab nations against Obama’s bid to lead the United Nations.

“Obama would only go into an empowered, powerful UN, powerful enough to see the United States come under the UN’s authority,” Bachmann warned.

Barger suggested that Obama may in fact be the Antichrist: “The whole idea of Obama being able to extend his presidency, even enhance it and expand it, I don’t think I need to say what I’m thinking because I think a lot of the listeners are thinking the same thing, and we all are too, and as you shake your head you wonder what’s coming next.”

Bachmann closed the program out by saying that we are witnessing the fulfillment of biblical prophecies and that we must warn others “with a Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other” about the coming apocalypse.

Michele Bachmann Says Congress Cannot Pass Laws That Contradict The Laws Of God

In the latest installment of David Barton's "Foundations of Freedom" series to air on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Barton was once again joined by ex-Rep. Michele Bachmann, who declared that Congress can never pass laws that violate the laws of God because doing so only "degrades the greatness of a nation."

Bachmann declared that a marble portrait of Moses in the House chamber is there as a reminder to all lawmakers that "a holy God gave to Moses the moral law, the Ten Commandments, the law upon which every other law has descended and upon which no other law, if it violates that moral law, could stand because that is the ultimate law."

To pass laws that do not uphold God's moral law, Bachmann said, "degrades us as a nation, it degrades our liberties and it degrades the greatness of a nation and that's what God understood from Old Testament times: The greatness of a nation is built up by His law."

Michele Bachmann: Protecting Gay People With Hate Crimes Laws Is 'Tyranny'

Right-wing psuedo-historian and Republican political operative David Barton recently released an 18-part DVD series called "Foundations of Freedom" that features Barton and various guests explaining everything from "the formation of American law and the judicial system to biblically-based economics, science, government [and how] our Founding Fathers used the Bible as a blueprint for America’s freedoms."

Among the guests featured in the series is Michele Bachmann, who was still a member of Congress at the time of filming, and who, in an episode that recently aired on TBN, declared that LGBT-inclusive hate crimes laws are a form of "tyranny."

"That's what's so brilliant about our form of government and God's form of government," Bachmann said, "that we are equal before the law. God's says He's not a respecter of persons, He's not partial, so why should we, why should government be partial? ... A creator God created us equal."

That discussion eventually led to Barton and Bachmann to lament the passage of hate crimes legislation back in 2009 that included protections against crimes based on sexual orientation, which Bachmann declared was tyranny.

"It's political correctness that rules the day," she said. "So when you're part of a favored group, then you get special benefits that nobody else gets. That's the very form of tyranny because when government supposedly gives something — government has nothing to give, they have to take it away from other people. So when they give it to that certain group, that means, by definition, they're taking it away from you."

The hate crimes law, which Barton and other anti-gay activists falsely claimed would lead to the imprisonment of pastors who preach from the Bible, did not "give" anything to specific groups nor take anything away from anyone else, but merely added sexual orientation and gender identity to other characteristics covered by existing hate crimes statutes, such as gender, race, religion, disability and national origin.

Bachmann: 'Donald Trump Is Right' On Muslim Immigration Ban

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann praised Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. yesterday, telling WorldNetDaily that “Donald Trump is right” and that his plan "is the only one that ensures the innocence, safety and security of all Americans, Muslims included":

Former GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann said the media is reacting as though citizens of foreign countries have constitutional rights to enter the U.S.

“Donald Trump is right,” said Bachmann, of Minnesota, which has had its share of problems with Islamic terrorists recruiting young Somali refugees.

“Obama’s insane open-door immigration policies are getting innocent Americans killed.

“No one has a right to enter the United States,” Bachmann continued. “Until we can set up a working, fail-safe vetting system, Trump’s idea is the only one that ensures the innocence, safety and security of all Americans, Muslims included.”

Bachmann: Convert As Many Jews As Possible Because Christ Is 'Coming Soon'

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins has been broadcasting his “Washington Watch” radio program from Israel this week, where he is helping to lead an FRC tour group. Also on the tour is former Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who joined Perkins on the program on Wednesday to share her view that biblical prophecy is being fulfilled all around her and that it is more urgent than ever to convert as many people as possible — including Jews — to Christianity to prepare for the imminent return of Christ.

“Almost every article in the paper” has to do with conflicts in Israel, Bachmann said, “and it ties with so much biblical prophecy. This week really was about biblical prophecy in many ways. And we’re seeing as events are speeding up, events are speeding up so quickly right now, and we see how relevant the Bible is, and we’re reading our newspaper, at the same time we’re learning about these biblical events, and it’s literally day by day by day, we’re seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we’re on the ground.”

“We recognize the shortness of the hour,” she said, “and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.”

Michele Bachmann: Carolina Flooding Is God's Wrath For U.S. Israel Policy

With parts of North and South the Carolina experiencing devastating floods, former Rep. Michele Bachmann is weighing in by suggesting that the flooding is a sign of God’s wrath for President Obama’s foreign policy. “US turns its back on Israel, disasters following,” she wrote on Twitter:

This isn’t the first time the Tea Party icon has blamed natural disasters on President Obama’s foreign policy.

Back in April, Bachmann said, “If we actually turn our back on Israel, as we are seeing Barack Obama do today, if that happens then I think we will see a scale and a level of pushback in the United States, negative consequences. I don’t know what they are, but I believe that the Bible is true and I believe that what the Bible says is that our nation and the people of our nation will reap a whirlwind. We could see economic disasters, natural disasters. The United States does not want to be in that position and unfortunately the people put into office Barack Obama, not only once but twice, and the people have to rise up against his actions and demand their leaders take steps accordingly.”

Paranoia-Rama: Another Bachmann Prophecy, NASA's Leftist Martian Plot And The UN-Caliphate

While we are disappointed that the many prophecies about a financial crash or a natural disaster hitting the U.S. in September were pretty much a bust, right-wing commentators have new predictions about America’s future, this time involving Mars, Pope Francis and the United Nations.

Michele Bachmann Lies About Drowned Syrian Boy To Attack Refugees

Michele Bachmann joined “Understanding the Times With Jan Markell” over the weekend not only to push her latest End Times claims but also to discuss the refugee crisis resulting from the Syrian civil war.

The former Republican congresswoman and presidential candidate told Markell that Aylan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian boy whose body washing up onto a Turkish beach was captured in a series of iconic photos, was not actually Syrian but from a Turkish family that was trying to reach Europe in order to secure dental benefits. Aylan, his four-year-old brother and his mother died after a boat headed to Greece capsized, three of over 2,600 migrants who have died traveling to Europe this year.

“That was a terrible tragedy but the fact is, that boy’s father and mother were in Turkey; they weren’t from Syria, they were from Turkey,” she said. “The father wanted European-style welfare benefits, he wanted for somebody to pay for the dental care for his kids.”

Bachmann’s assertion is false. The Kurdish boy’s family lived in Damascus before fleeing to Aleppo and then Kobani, each time leaving to avoid fighting. They left Kobani, where Aylan was born, for Turkey after the predominantly Kurdish city became the site of a brutal assault from ISIS forces. Close to two million Syrian refugees live in Turkey, which denies asylum to Syrians along with all non-Europeans, making it very difficult for Syrian refugees to legally rent a house or find a job since they don’t have legal status.

She went on to cite a claim made by Lebanon’s education minister that two of every 100 Syrian refugees are ISIS militants posing as refugees, and agreed with Markell’s claim that accepting Syrian refugees is “national suicide.”

Bachmann: God May Destroy America Over Gay Marriage Just Like Sodom

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann is not backing away from her End Times prophecies about how President Obama and gay rights advocates are paving the way for America’s destruction and the Apocalypse, returning to “Understanding the Times with Janet Markell” this weekend to issue her latest warning.

Denouncing “Barack Obama’s dangerous policies,” Bachmann said that the president is putting America in God’s crosshairs:

When we raise our fist to a holy God and say that we are going to redefine marriage, we are going to be okay with paying a Planned Parenthood to cut up innocent baby parts and sell them for research, that clearly is a problem and as we have seen God render judgment in the days of Noah, in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and so forth throughout history, what the prophets have told every generation is that there is a just God and the people must repent and turn to him. So too in this day of wickedness in our own culture, we need to do the same. We need to repent and we need to confess because a holy Savior is coming to save us and redeem us from this sin-sick world.

Markell said that we are so close to the end that she wondered if the two could witness “the Lord’s literal return even before we finish this broadcast.”

Markell said that while Iranian leaders are “End-Times-focused,” “apocalyptic-oriented,” “excited about the End Times” and “looking for a Messiah,” churches in America have failed to preach about “what the Bible has to say about the incredible Last Days that we are in.”

“Islamic countries are obsessed with End Times and bringing about End Times,” Bachmann replied, claiming that Christian pastors in America must “also observe the times that we live in and explain it from a biblical perspective.”

She added: “Christians all across the United States feel the pulse of something is happening.”

Evangelical Official Criticizes Bachmann & Huckabee For 'Outrageous' Iran Deal Rhetoric

In an interview with the Christian Post today, Tyler Wigg-Stevenson, the chairman of the World Evangelical Alliance’s Global Task Force on Nuclear Weapons, hailed the Iran deal for offering a “high confidence of inhibiting any move by Iran to a nuclear weapon.”

When the newspaper asked Wigg-Stevenson for his reaction to Mike Huckabee’s claim that the nuclear accord will usher in a second Holocaust and Michele Bachmann’s allegation that it fulfilled Last Days prophecy by paving the way for “World War III,” the World Evangelical Alliance official was not amused.

Noting that many Jewish leaders support the deal, he described Huckabee’s remarks as “pretty outrageous” and “wildly irresponsible,” and expressed bewilderment at Bachmann’s End Times claims: “I don't even know what to say to that.”

"I think that kind of rhetoric is pretty outrageous. The Holocaust is a living memory and I think that because it was Christian Europe that perpetrated the Holocaust on Jews, Christian have an ethical responcibility [sic] forever to take seriously future existential threats to the Jewish people," he said.

While criticizing Iran's denial of how devastating the Holocaust truly was, the WEA chair on Nuclear Weapons said that it is an "outrageous stretch of rhetoric for Huackbee [sic] to invoke the Holocaust based on a treaty that the vast majority of arms control experts in the United States have said is a good treaty."

He added that the GOP presidential candidate's remarks were "wildly irresponsible," and pointed out that there is divided opinion in Israel on whether the nuclear deal is a good development or not.

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has heavily condemned the lifting of sanctions on Iran, a group of 340 rabbis from "all streams of Judaism" signed a letter in support of the Iran deal earlier this week, opposing the idea that the American Jewish community is united in opposition to the agreement.

As for the idea that the deal will be the fulfillment of biblical End Times prophecy, as former GOP presidential candidate and former Minnesota Rep. Bachmann suggested, Wigg-Stevenson responded: "I don't even know what to say to that."

As a former Baptist minister, who told CP he has since become an Anglican, Wigg-Stevenson noted that "people have for hundreds and hundreds of years been pointing to current events as sure indicators that the End Times are upon us."

He added that statements like Bachmann's are "nothing new," and up to this point have never turned out to be correct.

He said that ultimately the Iran deal bars Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and said that "so how that brings about the End Times is beyond me."

Right Wing Round-Up - 8/18/15

Paranoia-Rama: Nuclear War, Civil War & Cannibalism Coming To America

The prophets have spoken, and the news isn’t good for America. It turns out that war, terrorist attacks and a possible nuclear Armageddon are all on the horizon, and more likely than not it’s Obama’s fault.

Michele Bachmann Predicts 'World War III'; Jan Markell Foresees 'Nuclear Apocalypse'

Michele Bachmann took to “Understanding the Times with Jan Markell” this weekend to warn that President Obama has taken the world into the End Times with the Iranian nuclear agreement.

The former Minnesota congresswoman also recounted how she personally urged President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to bomb Iran as “one of the greatest acts of peace” rather than pursue negotiations. The nuclear deal, Bachmann said, “ensures World War III,” adding that Obama is “doing everything in his power to put weapons of mass destruction — the most lethal known to man — in the hands of Israel’s greatest enemy, Iran.”

Markell then proceeded to read the words of Christian Zionist activist Jim Hutchens: “What has not been noted is the fact that our narcissistic, self-absorbed president has prematurely achieved his demonic obsession for a legacy. He will be known throughout eternity as the one who jump-started the process that produced the largest and most destructive nuclear holocaust of humanity, the slaughter of a third of mankind, over two and a third billion people. Read Revelations 6:13-19.”

After agreeing with Bachmann’s assessment that the Iranian deal fulfills biblical prophecy, the radio host added that the UN Security Council’s approval of the Iranian nuclear agreement represented a “huge leap” to “a nuclear apocalypse, the days of the Antichrist and the time of Jacob’s trouble.”

Michele Bachmann: Obama Fulfilled End Times Prophecy With Iran Deal, So Celebrate!

In an interview with Religious Right radio host Jan Markell this weekend, former Rep. Michele Bachmann once again claimed that President Obama is ushering in the End Times, this time citing the nuclear agreement with Iran as proof of the arrival of the Last Days.

Bachmann claimed that the unanimous UN Security Council vote to approve the agreement was “the most important national security event of my lifetime” because it fulfilled the prophecy of Zechariah 12:3 that all the nations of the world will unite against Israel, “with the United States leading that charge.” She added that God and “heaven’s armies” will use groups like AIPAC to defeat the deal in Congress and in doing so “prove to the world His power and His strength.”

“There are consequences to doing things like this against God’s covenant land, there are horrible consequences,” Markell said. “Then you throw in some other things such as the Supreme Court decision back in late June and a lot of other things. Judgment isn’t just coming; judgment is already here.”

Bachmann told listeners that they should feel “encouraged” by the fact that they are living in the End Times, explaining that these dark times are actually the best time to be alive since that means the world will soon come to an end.

“The prophets longed to live in this day that you and I are privileged to live in,” Bachmann said.

Predicting the arrival of nuclear war, Bachmann said that Iran will position its future cache of nuclear weapons in Cuba in order to aim them at the U.S.

Bradlee Dean Warns America That The 'Gay Agenda' Will 'Pervert All Comprehension'

Anti-gay activist Bradlee Dean claimed that LGBT people “are not ruled by law” on Monday’s episode of his “Sons of Liberty” radio program. Dean criticized the media for spreading the “gay agenda,” and attempting to “pervert all comprehension” and “confuse the younger generations.”

Dean briefly touched on the recent Supreme Court marriage decision, advising listeners that “nothing is good enough” for the LGBT community. “You’re gonna be destroyed by those you tolerate,” Dean warned, before urging his followers to “hold these people responsible because they are sick in the mind.”

His rant also included his theory that society is “using the Bruce Jenners of the world” to distract Americans from God’s teaching. “We’re telling you to wake up!” Dean shouted, before continuing into a tirade against the LGBT community.

Though not a politician himself, Dean has regularly worked with fellow Minnesotan  Michele Bachmann. Dean publicly advocates against LGBT rights, and has previously suggested that gay marriage would usher in another Holocaust.

Far-Right: Flee America Before God Destroys Us For Gay Marriage!

Religious Right activists have compared today’s gay marriage ruling to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and Pearl Harbor, warning of imminent divine judgment and civil war.

“No matter what, the Court’s ruling does not upend millenia of truth,” former Rep. Michele Bachmann said. “Many Americans will choose to follow God’s ways rather than this Court and they should suffer no penalty for doing so. The Court has flung open the gate to lawsuits from those pushing the gay agenda against those who disagree with same sex marriage.”

Rep. Louie Gohmert said God will withdraw his protection from America:

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, reacted with guns blzaing, calling the ruling a “civilization-changing decision that destroys our nation’s heritage of Biblical marriage. May God forgive our Supreme Court majority for its arrogance and its self-apotheosis.”

Invoking biblical history, he warned, “Both Moses and Jesus stated that it was God’s law that ‘a man will leave his father and mother and a woman will leave her home and the two will come together as one.’ That defined marriage … The Supreme Court ruling is heartbreaking for the turmoil it will mean for our nation’s future.”

Gohmert indicated two justices should have recused themselves, observing, “It is clear beyond any doubt that Justices Kagan and Ginsberg have held exceedingly strong opinions that same-sex marriages were constitutional by virtue of their having performed them.”

He further warned, “[I]f Moses, Jesus, and contributors to the Bible were correct, God’s hand of protection will be withdrawn as future actions from external and internal forces will soon make clear. I will do all I can to prevent such harm, but I am gravely fearful that the stage has now been set.”

On American Family Radio, Crane Durham said that America is now under “tyranny” as a result of the court’s decision.

One caller said that he is prepared to “abandon ship” and flee America for a nation like Costa Rica or the Philippines, while another caller said that God is about to punish all of the people, such as President Obama and Hillary Clinton, who are celebrating the court’s ruling.

Conservative author Carl Gallups told WorldNetDaily that the Supreme Court’s ruling invites God to wrath upon America:

“This is the most monumental ruling of any court, by any nation in the history of the world,” Gallups said. “The spiritual and world-reaching ramifications will be prolific and devastating.”

“This ruling may prove to be the final death-knell of divine judgment upon our once great nation. For God’s word clearly declares, ‘What God has joined together, let not man put asunder’ (Mark 10:9). Man (The U.S. Supreme Court) has now spit upon God’s word and ‘put asunder’ what God declared as the standard for marriage – one man and one woman joined before God for life.”

Though he has been preaching for 30 years that this day would soon be upon the nation, and received much ridicule and lambasting for doing so, Gallups said he is “deeply saddened that it is now here – among our children and grandchildren.”

“These are the beginnings of the very last days,” he added. “I know I will be further mocked for uttering these words, but I unapologetically come from a biblical world view. I know what the Word of God says — I know what Jesus Himself said.”
