Rick Joyner Mathematically 'Proves' We're In The End Times

Televangelist Rick Joyner was the special guest last week on “The Jim Bakker Show,” where he mathematically “proved” that the earth has only been around for about 6,000 years, which means we will soon be approaching the End Times.

“You can add up the genealogies in Scripture and find that from the time of Adam until today, there’s been about 6,000 years,” Joyner said. “There’s one period in Judges that’s a little ambiguous so you have to give or take 100 years, but we’ve been on earth since Adam about 6,000 years. And that’s six prophetic days.”

Joyner then explained that a line from 2 Peter stating that “one day with the Lord is as a thousand years” means that “there will be 6,000 years until the end of this age.”

According to Joyner, since the earth is now approaching year 7,000 and “Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, which is the seventh prophetic day,” that means that Christ’s return is imminent.

Jerry Boykin Falsely Claims 'The Naked Communist' Was Written And Published By The Communist Party USA

Rick Joyner was joined by the Family Research Council's Jerry Boykin on the most recent episode of his "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, where the two lamented that young people are supporting the Bernie Sanders campaign because they have been inculcated with socialism by the public school system.

"The socialists had a systematic plan for taking over our educational system and they have pretty much done it," Joyner said, adding that students today "were educated by socialists to be socialists."

Boykin agreed, saying that communists in America specifically laid out a plan to do just this back in 1958.

"In 1958, there was a book written called 'The Naked Communist,'" he said. "It was written and published by the Communist Party USA and they laid out all the things they were going to do to take over America in time. It was a long term strategic plan."

That is, of course, totally false, as "The Naked Communist" was a book written by W. Cleon Skousen, a far right-wing conspiracy theorist and slavery apologist.

Rick Joyner Speculates The Scalia Was Murdered And Warns That America Is Heading For Civil War

On his most recent "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" broadcast, right-wing televangelist Rick Joyner declared that "something smells like a rat" in the recent death of Justice Antonin Scalia and warned that America could descend into civil war over efforts to replace him on the Supreme Court.

Joyner said that "you can't help but think" that something suspicious is going on regarding Scalia's death since no autopsy was performed.

"They rushed him in there and started the embalming process like they didn't want an autopsy," he said. "I'm not saying that he was murdered, but you can't help but wonder."

Joyner went on to say that just as the Supreme Court's Dred Scott decision eventually plunged this nation into the Civil War, the court's recent marriage equality decision is likewise tearing this nation apart and could soon result in a violent conflict.

"We are in danger of a civil war in America," he warned. "We are in danger of fracturing, not just into two parts, but into many parts. I pray it doesn't happen. I pray it doesn't get violent but if you don't change your direction, you're going to end up where you're headed and that's the direction we're headed. I believe you could see America fracture into six different parts, at least. We believe in prophecy, there are prophetic warnings about this that I believe are from above."

Ted Cruz To Campaign With Glenn Beck At Rick Joyner's Church

Last month, we noted that Ted Cruz attended a national security forum held at Rick Joyner's MorningStar Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Joyner is a self-proclaimed prophet who frequently talks of his prophetic dreams about chaos and revolution descending upon America and resulting in martial law. He is the sort of right-wing Christian leader who issues warnings about how the devastating 2011 earthquake in Japan would push America into Nazism and declares that Hurricane Katrina was God's judgment for homosexuality. He's also the type to declare that gay marriage will usher in national destructiona second civil wardivine judgmenta ban on men and women marrying each other and even the Mark of the Beast.

But Joyner is not all doom and gloom, as he did once pray away the spread of the Asian Flu and even cooked a miraculous casserole that fed multitudes.

Later this week, Cruz will return to Joyner's church for a campaign event and this time he'll be in the company of another self-appointed prophet: Glenn Beck.

Rick Joyner: A Carolina Panthers Super Bowl Win Will Be A Prophetic Sign Of The Third Great Awakening

On today's "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, Rick Joyner recounted a prophecy delivered by evangelist Bob Jones, who, according to Joyner, declared years ago that a Super Bowl victory by the Carolina Panthers would be a sign of the start of the Third Great Awakening.

Despite the fact that Jones had once been removed from ministry for, among other things, sexually abusing women, he served as a spiritual mentor to Joyner and was highly regarded as a prophet by many in the movement. With the Carolina Panthers slated to play in the Super Bowl this weekend, Joyner recounted how Jones had not only prophesied the team's creation in North Carolina, but also foresaw that their first Super Bowl win would signal a nationwide awakening and movement of God, just as last year's Super Bowl victory by the New England Patriots was also a sign from God.

As Joyner recalled, Jones called him out of the blue in the late 1980s to tell him that he had received a prophetic message from God that "the black panthers are coming the Charlotte [and] they're coming to the lumber yard." Neither Jones nor Joyner knew what that meant until several years later when the NFL announced the creation of an expansion team in Charlotte to be called the Carolina Panthers, who, Joyner claims, built their stadium on the site of an old lumber yard.

"So we knew there was a prophetic destiny to this team," Joyner explained, stating that "many of the ups and downs that this team would go through ... were an incredibly accurate parallel" of the struggles of Joyner and his fellow Christians.

"Listen, I'm doing this program before the Super Bowl," Joyner said. "They haven't won it yet. But if they do, to me, it is a very definite marker of something remarkable breaking out ... If the Panthers win this year, we know it's all hands on deck and we are going to see the outbreak of, I believe, the Third Great Awakening in America."

Surely this has nothing to do with the fact that Joyner's church is based just outside of Charlotte.

UPDATE (2/8/16): It looks like the Third Great Awakening will have to wait.

Ted Cruz To Address Church Led By Extremist 'Prophet'

Fresh from holding a rally at South Carolina’s Bob Jones University, a school that infamously tried to use “religious liberty” arguments to defend its racist policies, Ted Cruz is now slated to address a “National Security Forum” at self-proclaimed prophet Rick Joyner’s MorningStar Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The Oak Initiative, a conservative group led by Joyner, circulated an email inviting members to the forum over the weekend, which is officially hosted by the South Carolina chapter of Americans for Peace Prosperity and Security and moderated by former Rep. Mike Rogers.

We wonder if Cruz will use the event as an opportunity to court Joyner’s support, since the Texas senator has made a point to recruit some of the most extreme voices on the Religious Right.

Joyner doesn’t think America has much time left, telling viewers of his television show “Prophetic Perspective on Current Events” that President Obama’s re-election “could be the end of our republic as we know it” and that a time will come when “our only hope is a military takeover; martial law.”

Joyner cited a prophetic vision he received to predict that the devastating 2011 earthquake in Japan would push America into Nazism, and he has warned that gay marriage will usher in national destructiona second civil wardivine judgmenta ban on men and women marrying each other and the Mark of the Beast.

He has also boasted of advising several politicians, including one unnamed U.S. senator whom he told that Hurricane Katrina was God’s punishment for homosexuality.

Joyner’s prayers get results, at least according to Joyner. He has boasted that he prayed that God would bring drought to California, which he believes will soon be destroyed; fed “a huge group one time from one casserole” dish that “just never ran out”; and “instantly” prayed away the flu from America.

Other prophecies have been less successful. For instance, he warned that the military’s Jade Helm 15 exercise would usher in martial law and cited the White Horse Prophecy as a reason to believe that God would put Mitt Romney in the White House (although he wonders if Obama, whom he believes is “a wicked man,” stole the 2012 election).

Joyner can also share with Cruz his dreams about the dystopian future of America:

Rick Joyner: The New England Patriots 2014 Super Bowl Championship Was A Message From God

On his most recent "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, Rick Joyner once again claimed that God personally told him that the New England Patriots would win the Super Bowl last year and that it was going to be a supernatural sign that patriotism would "become really popular again."

Joyner was discussing the Republican primary race and explaining that while he currently supports Donald Trump, that could change "if the Lord really speaks to me," which He does quite regularly, like when God told Joyner at the start of the 2014 NFL season that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl.

"Way in the beginning of last football season, the Lord showed me the New England Patriots were going to win the Super Bowl," Joyner said. "He showed me why and I didn't like his reasons ... I wanted the Carolina Panthers to win the Super Bowl, but the Lord said, 'No, the New England Patriots are going to win again this year.'"

"He showed me that early in the season," Joyner continued, "and then He told me not to give up on our Panthers either. Does the Lord care about football? Yeah. I promise you, He does. He does because we do. If we didn't, He wouldn't care about it, but because His people do, He does care. I don't believe He picks winners unfairly, unless He does like He did last year to give us a message. And that message was, He said, 'The Patriots are going to win and it is going to be a message that patriotism is going to win.' I believe you're going to see patriotism becoming really popular again."

  • Liberty University is reportedly a front-runner to host a Republican presidential debate in January.
  • Anti-gay megadonor Sean Fieler finds a friend in Ted Cruz.
  • Rick Joyner says that if he had to vote today, he'd vote for Donald Trump.
  • Gee, what a surprise! Several of the GOP candidates whom Glenn Beck really likes are quite eager to have his network host a debate.
  • Chuck Baldwin warns conservatives to beware of Marco Rubio because he is the "globalist insiders' water boy."
  • Finally, the Family Research Council prays that God will forgive us for Obamacare: "May God forgive His people for too quietly standing by and allowing Congress to approve a plan sold by strong-arm tactics and shameless deception, plan filled with the shedding of innocent blood, and built upon theory that departs from biblical truth and principles of American liberty that set us on a road to possibly irreversible socialism. May God have mercy and grant us repentance. May we elect a president and Congress in 2016 that meet his qualifications (Ex 18:21); that they will unite to overturn ObamaCare and replace it with a system based upon individual liberty and the free market. May we not add to our sin of complacency, rather, may Christians arise to be salt and light in the electoral process. Instead of a 25% Christian voter turnout, may we cast deciding votes for men and women across America who, under God, will set us on a course God can bless!"

Rick Joyner: Impeach The Supreme Court And Remove From Office Anyone Who Refuses To Impeach The Supreme Court

Rick Joyner sent out a dire missive to his Oak Initiative email list today, declaring that America's "spiritual and moral deterioration" has become so great that we have now begun a "national meltdown into madness" that can only end with God's brutal judgment falling upon this nation.

Fuming that Planned Parenthood has not been shut down and its leader prosecuted for the organization's "heinous crimes," Joyner likened America to Nazi Germany:

Once you lose the core moral foundation of the value of life, evil will come pouring through the floodgates just as we saw happen in Germany in the 1930s.

Of course, the guilty protest any comparison to the Nazis, but if we do not learn where certain paths lead from historical examples, then we have learned nothing from that history and will go down the same path. The Nazis moved fast from abortion to the weak, retarded, and elderly who could no longer work, dubbing them “the useless eaters.” From there it was a small jump to political opponents, and ultimately, to condemning almost anyone for anything. The same paths lead to the same place ...  America has now become a sick society. At the rate we are melting down, we will soon be one of the sickest and perverted of all time. This is a main reason Islamists call America “The Great Satan.” They believe we have become so perverse that there is no alternative but to destroy us in order to rid the earth of this evil. Over the last few decades we seem to be intent on proving this verdict.

After voicing his outrage that our "State Department has implemented a foreign policy of threatening nations to adopt the LGBT agenda if they want to continue getting aid from us," Joyner praised the "courageous leaders like those in Africa who told our leaders to keep their money and their perversion far away from them" and then demanded the impeachment of the Supreme Court justices who wrote the decision striking down state gay marriage bans, as well as the removal from office of any members of Congress who refuse to impeach them:

In general, Christians don’t expect non-believers to live according to biblical morals, and they want all American citizens to have their rights protected. There are some extremists in every group, but Christians do not want to impose their morals on others. However, neither do they want what they consider to be immorality imposed on them. The recent Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage did just that, even though its most serious violation of America was about much more. It was an unconstitutional decision, and if allowed to stand, brings into question whether we are still a Constitutional Republic, or a nation of laws.

The Constitution is clear that any authority not specifically given to the Federal Government is reserved to the states and the people. Nowhere is the Federal Government given authority to impose such a social agenda. Many Americans seem to assume that because the Federal Government is bigger, it has authority over the states. The opposite is actually true if we are still basing our government on the Constitution. The states have authority over the Federal Government in everything that is not specifically mentioned in the Constitution as being given to the Federal Government. Any other authority it takes does not have legal legitimacy.

Thomas Jefferson’s loudest and most vehement warnings were about “judicial tyranny,” which he warned would become exactly like what the Supreme Court, and many of the Federal Courts, are now imposing on America. These rulings are unlawful and unconstitutional. The justices that blatantly violated their oath to defend the Constitution by voting for something like this should be impeached.

California’s vote for Proposition Eight in 2008 was the constitutional way to handle such issues—by the states and by the people. A state does have the right to have same-sex marriage or not. The State of California, and the people, decided how they wanted this issue settled in their state. They voted not to have same-sex marriage. A single Federal Court judge, who was himself exposed as being a practicing homosexual at the time of his decision, overturned the will of millions of people and the State of California. That is what Jefferson called “judicial tyranny.” It is unlawful and unconstitutional.

This judge should have certainly been impeached for such a violation of the Constitution, but no one did a thing because we do not have leaders who keep their oath of office. Those who did nothing should be impeached as well for not obeying their oath to defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic.

So should the President and his previous Attorney General be impeached for saying that they would not enforce laws they did not agree with because they took an oath to uphold the laws of the land? Absolutely. Their brazen contempt for the Constitution and the laws that were lawfully passed by Congress and signed by a President was a blatant violation of their oath of office, and so they should have been removed from office.

Not to defend the laws and the Constitution only releases further lawlessness in the land. So, those who did nothing in the face of this are just as guilty. If the President does not have to obey laws he does not agree with, why should anyone else?

So what can we do? It is up to the people, the ultimate authority, to impeach those who violate their oaths of office, to remove them from office, and indict those who have so betrayed their country.

With the same-sex marriage decision, our Supreme Court has released into the land that those who hold to what have been the moral standards accepted by every nation, religion, and civilization in history can be attacked as “haters.” We already have examples of those who have lost their livelihoods for refusing to violate their conscience by serving what they believe to be immoral. The next step will be to see them prosecuted for “hate crimes,” as is already happening in Europe.

Rick Joyner: 'Donald Trump May Be One Of The Most Humble Of The Candidates'

On his "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program earlier this week, Rick Joyner continued to suggest that Donald Trump might be the candidate who God is raising up to save this nation because he is the only candidate who is "humble" enough.

Citing Trump's recent meeting with a group of fringe and extremist Christian leaders, Joyner declared that the GOP presidential hopeful demonstrated that he was "teachable" and "humble" and "incredibly respectful" at that participants left the meeting "amazed at his humility."

"I don't think there is anyone that we could elect to the presidency," Joyner said, "that is going to fix the mess we're in right now. They really are beyond human remedy, we need the favor of God. And God gives His grace to the humble ... I'm wondering if Donald Trump may be one of the most humble of the candidates."

Rick Joyner: I Prayed For Drought To Strike California

During a “Prophetic Conference” that was broadcast last month on “The Jim Bakker Show,” televangelist Rick Joyner said that he was praying for drought in California, explaining that God had told him that California would soon face destruction — he has been predicting an “imminent” earthquake since 2011 — and therefore an event like a drought would convince people to leave before the state turns into ruins.

“I started praying for things like a drought to come upon California so it would force them out, they would have to start leaving and things like that,” Joyner said. “It’s time to get out.”

However, Joyner also said that God is telling certain people to stay in California to help others when calamity strikes.

Todd Bentley Claims To Have Brought 35 People Back From The Dead

On Friday night, we spotted a tweet from Rick Joyner's MorningStar Ministries, alerting us to the fact that Todd Bentley was preaching at Joyner's church that evening on the raising of the dead:

Joyner has been key in "restoring" Bentley's reputation after he divorced his wife back in 2008 and, on Friday, the two men were preaching together at Joyner's "Harvest Fest 2015" event. Unfortunately, the footage from the event is only available to those with a subscription so we have been unable to watch it, though a short excerpt was released on the MorningStar YouTube page showing Bentley bragging about how he recently revived three people from the dead during an event in Pakistan:

It turns out that these are just the latest in a long string of resurrections of the dead in Bentley's career, as he explained earlier this month at a different event that he has been responsible for no fewer than 35 such miracles over the years.

Bentley recalled how he had recently cured a young girl of Down syndrome and had even brought back from the dead a man who, 48 hours earlier, had been electrocuted so badly that all of his internal organs were melted.

"I wish we had a dead body we could pray for, but we don't. That would have been a great illustration," Bentley stated, explaining that he travels with a "raising the dead tent" in which he places those who have recently died so that he can pray them back to life.

So far, he's managed to bring back 35 people, Bentley said, but for best results, they have to have died in the last couple of days.  Four days, it turns out, is generally the limit at which he is capable of bringing people back from the dead.

Rick Joyner: Jade Helm 15 Could Lead To Martial Law, Which Might Be A Good Thing

In a program that aired over a week after the conclusion of the Jade Helm 15 training exercise televangelists Jim Bakker and Rick Joyner wondered if the military drill was a precursor to martial law.

Joyner said that he received a message from God in 1987 that martial law was coming to America, insisting that “it can be a good thing” if we “get the right martial who can get things back on track.”

Bakker, who worried that he would end up in jail as a result of Jade Helm 15, then asked Joyner if he was worried that “martial law is going to come out of” the military exercise, which Joyner said is a possibility since all “first world nations” are “preparing for everything from pandemics to whatever to create a situation where you need martial law.”

Rick Joyner: God Could Be Sending Donald Trump To Save America

Conservative televangelist Rick Joyner is a big fan of Donald Trump, so used some of his time at a “Prophetic Conference” organized by Jim Bakker last week to sing the praises of the GOP presidential frontrunner.

Likening Trump to King Cyrus, the Persian king hailed for liberating the Jews from captivity in Babylon, Joyner said that God could use a President Trump to “turn it around” for the country because “his kind of boldness” and “courage” is exactly what America needs.

“It’s going to take incredible boldness to think ways nobody else can think and do things, if God is going to send us somebody to do it,” he said.

'We're The Government': Jerry Boykin Says Our Government Was Founded To Be Run By Christians

The Family Research Council's Jerry Boykin joined Rick Joyner for a "special update" on Sunday where Boykin asserted that Christians must be involved in politics because the Constitution came directly out of the Bible and the Founding Fathers created our system of government to be run by Christians.

Insisting that the separation of church and state is a myth, Boykin declared that the church was primarily responsible for the success of the American Revolution and as well as the abolition of slavery and suggested that Christians who refuse to get involved in politics are cowards.

"You don't have the courage to stand for what you believe in," Boykin said, "because the church has always been a dominant factor in the politics of America and the 56 men who signed that document were men of faith. When they came back and wrote that Constitution, they wrote that Constitution and derived all of the principles out of that Constitution out of the Bible. So when you hold up a Bible, you need to hold up the Constitution right next to it and say, 'This Constitution came from this Bible and every freedom that's given in this Constitution came from the Bible.'"

"When Christians say we shouldn't be involved in politics, you've got to be kidding me," he continue. "We're the government."

Last Year, God Told Rick Joyner The New England Patriots Would Win The Super Bowl

On yesterday's "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, Rick Joyner revealed that, prior to the start of last year's NFL season, God personally told him that the New England Patriots would win the Super Bowl and that it would be "a prophetic message that patriotism is going to win this year."

Joyner said that God regularly shows him "through sporting events some prophetic scenarios," and so, last year, he asked God when He was going to let the Carolina Panthers finally win a Super Bowl. God reportedly told Joyner "don't give up on the Panthers," which Joyner interpreted to mean that the Panthers would not have a very good year but "it could end up good," which is exactly what happened when the team made it into the playoffs despite having a losing record and even won a Wild Card game.

But more importantly, God told Joyner that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl, though Joyner wisely decided not to share that information publicly because otherwise people would have used it to gamble.

"The Lord told me the Patriots were going to win," he said. "I knew the Lord said and he was saying it as a prophetic message that patriotism is going to win this year.  And that's what's going to win and you're going to see Americans becoming patriotic again. And I knew that was a message and I think that's important for us to understand and, for that reason, I was kind of happy when the Patriots won it all, I knew we're going to see this unfold."

Joyner: 'Lawlessness' From Obama, Clinton, And SCOTUS Is A Sign Of The End Times

On today's "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, Rick Joyner warned that the Supreme Court's gay marriage decision, the controversy over Hillary Clinton's private email server and President Obama's entire presidency are proof of increasing "lawlessness" in American, which is a sign of the End Times.

"If nothing happens to Hillary, if she's not prosecuted for this, what has happened to law, what has happened to order, to justice?" Joyner asked. He went on to insist that Obama has "committed many impeachable offenses" which are sowing the seeds of lawlessness all over this nation. "If the president doesn't have to keep laws that he doesn't agree with, why should anybody have to keep laws they don't agree with?" he asked. "Why should I have to obey this speed limit sign out here? I don't agree with it."

"It just releases lawlessness across the board," he said. "It just releases lawlessness and this is one of the things the Lord warned is going to be one of the major signs of the End Times. We're either going to see justice done in relation to Hillary Clinton or we're going to see just how much further we've fallen into lawlessness."
