‘Nonpartisan’ Religious Right Leaders Demand that Christians Vote for Romney

Religious Right leaders love to proclaim that they are nonpartisan. Rick Scarborough insists he is not a Republican or a Democrat, but a Christocrat.  Samuel Rodriguez repeatedly claims that he is not pushing the agenda of the Elephant or the Donkey, but the Lamb. And yet they are actively involved in attempts to convince Christians that loyalty to biblical values requires a vote against Barack Obama and for Mitt Romney, even though many evangelicals do not consider Mormons to be Christians.  The latest example comes via Rick Joyner’s dominionist Oak Initiative. Joyner sent Oak supporters a long essay by Dr. James Richards of Impact Ministries, which denounces partisanship and says, “This is not about Democrats and Republicans; it is about being a believer, committed to the Lordship of Jesus.”  Richards’ essay concludes with a charge to elect Romney, the “least damaging” option on the ballot, in order to “buy time” to hold off socialism and get the right kind of people in office.

To my knowledge, there has never been a President that could satisfy all the interests of the church. So our only choice is to choose what we will overlook and what we will over emphasize. It is time for us to see the bigger picture. WE ARE ALWAYS VOTING FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS. We must realize that in many instances, not voting means putting someone into office by default who may be a much greater risk to our beliefs and freedoms.

Many will not vote for Obama because he is in favor of gay marriage and abortion. However, those same people oppose Romney on the basis of his Mormon background. Many Christians will feel they have no choice and not vote. But we must remember, in 2008 the 30 million Christian evangelicals that didn’t vote decided the election by default.

We are not attempting to get a perfect man in office. We are attempting the get the least damaging man in office. As such we have peace, something the early church could only pray for, but we can vote for. If we can get a man in office who is not a socialist committed to the reduction of America and extreme leftist agendas, we will buy the time to make changes in Congress, and eventually at the State level. But most importantly, we can get people in office who will uphold God’s values and the Constitution. Based on the words and the track record of the extreme left, in four more years we may be too far gone to make a difference. YOU ARE NOT VOTING FOR THE MAN, YOU ARE VOTING FOR THE TIME TO MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE!

Joyner Hopes Romney will Fulfill the 'White Horse Prophecy'

Rick Joyner has been optimistic about Mitt Romney’s chances at winning the presidency lately and floated the idea that Romney may even be the fulfillment of the “White Horse Prophecyduring an appearance on Jim Bakker’s show.  After agreeing with Bakker that the differences between Mormonism and Christianity are merely minor ones, Joyner suggested that a prophecy that Mormons would save the U.S. in its darkest hour may be realized in Romney. While Joyner sounded hopeful about that possibility since it would mean Obama’s defeat, the prophecy, which has not been accepted by the LDS Church, goes on to suggest that “Mormons will control the government.”

Joyner: Gay Activists are the Most Intolerant Group in the World

On yesterday's episode of "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events," Rick Joyner was discussing the recent remarks made by Chick-Fil-A president Dan Cathy and the controversy they created when he declared that "most Christians [and] most conservatives are not anti-gay" but are simply following Scripture.  In fact, Joyner said, what has happened is that "the gay agenda has gone to such an extreme" that gay activists have become one of the "most intolerant groups not only in America, but in the world."  And now Americans have become fed up with "the imposition of their immorality on us" and Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day is a sign of "a major pushback" against that agenda:

Joyner: Our Prayers Regrow Amputated Limbs

Last week, Rick Joyner dedicated his daily "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" programs to recounting many of the countless miracles and prophecies he has witnessed during his years in the ministry in order to deliver the message that "the miracles that Rick has seen take place are just a foretaste of the things to come in the last days."

In fact, Joyner reported, there have been extended periods when the miracles and prophecies were so great and so prevalent that they put those recorded in the Book of Acts to shame, like the time when a friend of his had his amputated finger almost completely regrown ... until those praying unfortunately got distracted just before it could be fully restored:

Top Five Books Thomas Nelson Found More Credible Than David Barton's 'The Jefferson Lies'

The world’s largest Christian publisher Thomas Nelson has pulled David Barton’s book “The Jefferson Lies” because of Barton’s “unsupportable” claims regarding the third president’s views on religion. Barton’s deputy Rick Green accused academic “elitists” of acting like Adolf Hitler to smear Barton, while Barton ironically defended his book by insisting that a group of anonymous academics endorsed his work. Now that Thomas Nelson has recalled Barton’s book and removed all mention of it from its website, we wanted to see what books the publisher apparently found to be more credible than Barton’s “The Jefferson Lies”:

1. Todd Burpo’s “Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back.” Pastor Todd Burpo describes how his 3-year-old son Colton went to heaven during surgery where he saw God literally “fit the entire world into his hands” and Jesus’ “sea-blue eyes”!

2. Rick Joyner’s “The Vision: A Two-in-One Volume of The Final Quest and The Call.” Thomas Nelson considers not one but two books by the self-proclaimed prophet who claimed to have miraculously made a dish of casserole multiply and stopped the Asian Flu, blamed Hurricane Katrina on homosexuality and warned of the West Coast’s impending doom, as more supportable than Barton’s “The Jefferson Lies.”

3. Hank Hanegraaff’s “The Creation Answer Book.” This book claims that humans and dinosaurs walked on the earth together and that the earth was created in six consecutive 24 hour days, apparently less of a stretch than Barton’s argument that Jefferson and the rest of the Founders were fundamentalist Christians.

4. John Hagee’s “The Beginning of the End.” The televangelist describes how the Antichrist will soon come to power, using microchips implanted in humans and hate crimes laws to secure his authority.

5. Michael Savage’s “Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder.” It’s a book called “Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder”!

Again, these are the books seen as more reliable than Barton’s “The Jefferson Lies.”

Religious Right and Dominionist Leaders Come Together (Again) for 'America for Jesus'

Back in February, we reported that pastor Anne Gimenez was in the process of recreating the 1980 Washington for Jesus rally, which she led with her late husband, Bishop John Gimenez. The new election-oriented prayer rally, called America for Jesus, is scheduled to be held in Philadelphia’s Independence Mall in September and has already received the endorsements of far-right dominionists including Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle, Jim Garlow and Harry Jackson.

But as with Rick Perry’s The Response and Lou Engle’s The Call prayer rallies, it was only a matter of time before more mainstream Religious Right leaders linked arms with their more openly dominionists brethren.

The latest America for Jesus solicitation mentions support from not only New Apostolic Reformation leaders like Che Ahn, Rick Joyner, Chuck Pierce, Doug Stringer and Barbara Yoder, but also from David Barton of WallBuilders, Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel. Even televangelists Kenneth Copeland, Gordon Robertson and John Hagee have endorsed the event.

In promotional materials [pdf], the event’s organizers use language closely centered around Seven Mountains dominionism, which calls for conservative Christians to take dominion over the seven spheres of society: family; arts and entertainment; business; education; religion and the church; media; and government. They also dabble in some Christian Nation revisionist history, using two fake quotes attributed to founding fathers George Washington (“It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible”) and James Madison (“We have staked the future upon our capacity to sustain ourselves according the Ten Commandments of God”).

The Bible provides guiding principles for all spheres of society: government, family, church, science and technology, economics and business, education, media and communications, and arts and entertainment. Every book of the Bible gives us instruction and principles on how to establish God’s kingdom purposes on earth.

If we live by His commands in our own lives, we will impact people around us and their spheres of society. And if Christian leaders in these spheres will uphold God’s principles in their positions of influence, God’s blessings will be multiplied in a healthy and wealthy society….God’s kingdom purposes will come forth on earth as in heaven!

Rick Joyner's Hellish Attack on Chief Justice John Roberts

As Kyle has been documenting, there is no shortage of rhetorical excess from right-wing leaders upset about the Supreme Court upholding the Affordable Care Act.  But the response from Rick Joyner, head of MorningStar Ministries and the dominionist Oak Initiative, has to be among the most unhinged. Joyner has a penchant for apocalyptic rhetoric, warning of demonic threats and natural disasters facing an unrepentant America.

Joyner is embraced by other right-wing leaders, appearing at the Awakening conferences organized by the Liberty Counsel and the Freedom Federation, a Religious Right super-group of which Joyner’s organization is a member.  Sen. Jim DeMint spoke earlier this month at a “Freedom Congress” organized by Joyner.

In a “special bulletin” appropriately titled “Dazed and Confused,” Joyner goes after Chief Justice John Roberts with literally hellish relish.  Roberts’ reasoning, he says, “could potentially open the biggest gate of hell into our nation and culture by the Supreme Court since Roe v. Wade” and “has potentially released the most evil hounds from hell against the American people.”

Joyner even suggests that Roberts is, quite literally, on drugs:

It is understandable that some are now making the assertion that Chief Justice Roberts’ medication used to control his epilepsy has taken a toll on his mental abilities and reasoning. Nothing else has come forward as an adequate explanation for why he would be the one to free Obamacare like he did to become the biggest grab of totalitarian power over America in history.

“This decision,” says Joyner, “has deepened our national crisis, and jeopardized our Constitution at a most inopportune and dangerous time.”

It now seems that the American Republic is under unrelenting attack from every possible direction. Let us not faint, but keep in mind that the greatest victories only come when there are great battles. No doubt this will wake up many more Americans to the battle we are in. Great souls run to the sound of battle, not away from it. America still has many great souls who will fight regardless of the odds against them, and who will stand and never surrender for the sake of the freedom that was their birthright. This Supreme Court Decision has only increased the volume of the alarm and we can expect many more to hear it now.

Joyner had much kinder words for Mitt Romney, quoting the candidate’s response to the ruling and his “resolve” to repeal the health care reform law.

Joyner: We Must Act Like Wilberforce or We'll be Martyred Like Bonhoeffer

Eric Metaxas has written two books in recent years that have been widely embraced by the Religious Right, largely because the movement sees parallels between the Metaxas' subjects and their own ideological crusades.

The first book that caught their attention was the book "Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery" which was widely promoted by the Right as a parallel to their fight against abortion.

Then, in 2011, Metaxas released "Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy," a biography about German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer who was put to death by the Nazis for his role in the resistance, and to whom the Religious Right compares itself in opposing the Obama administration and liberals in general.

On Friday's episode of "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events," Rick Joyner saw prophetic significance in the combination of Metaxas two works, revealing that they serve as a warning that "if we don't take the kind of action that Wilberforce took, we're going to end up being martyrs like Bonhoeffer":

Gaffney: The Muslim Brotherhood 'is Trying to Keep us Stupid' About Plans to Take Over America

Last week, Rick Joyner dedicated all of his "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" programs to discussing conspiracy theories about how the Muslim Brotherhood is working to take over America with Jerry Boykin.

This week Joyner is welcoming Frank Gaffney for a series of programs ... dedicated to discussing conspiracy theories about how the Muslim Brotherhood is working to take over America.

As Gaffney explained, the American people have "been subjected to a very disciplined, long-term, systematic effort" to condition us to tolerate and accommodate Sharia and we don't even realize that it is happening.  And the reason we don't know it is happening is because "the enemy (i.e. the Muslim Brotherhood) is trying to keep us stupid" through the exercise of "information dominance":

So apparently that fact that nobody believes that the Muslim Brotherhood is systematically taking over the nation is itself proof that their plan is working!

Boykin: From Public School Textbooks to the 'Full Implementation of Marxism'

All this week, Rick Joyner is once again hosting Jerry Boykin for a series of programs for his daily "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" television show where the two have been discussing their conspiracy theories about how the Muslim Brotherhood are working with Marxists in order to destroy America and its Judeo-Christian values and heritage.

Today, Boykin revealed that one of the ways this is being accomplished is through public school textbooks, which are being "deliberately altered to rob us of our identity [and our] pride in being Americans" in order to undermine the Judeo-Christian base upon which this nation was founded.  And the reason this is happening is because Leftists are out to destroy Christianity in order to fully implement Marxism in America:

How Rick Joyner 'Rebuked' the Flu and Stopped its Spread

The other day we noted that Rick Joyner has been issuing a variety of dire prophecies about what is in store for America, ranging from demonic Nazism, the destruction of California, the rise of race riots and now an impending economic collapse that is going to lead to martial law and a return to the barter system while, at the same time, reassuring Christians that they can be protected.

Now Joyner is warning of an impending Bird Flu epidemic that is going to devastate the global economy ... but once again he and his gang of prophets will come to the rescue because they have to power to stop it, just like how they rebuked some recent outbreak of Asian Flu and stopped it dead in its tracks:

How Rick Joyner Fed the Multitudes with Just One Dish of Casserole

For years now, Rick Joyner has been issuing a variety of dire prophecies about what is in store for America, ranging from demonic Nazism to the destruction of California and the rise of race riots.

Now Joyner is warning of an impending economic collapse that is going to lead to martial law and a return to the barter system, and so he is urging his viewers to stockpile both food and items of high trade value.  But it is not all doom and gloom, as Joyner reassured his audience that during this time of deprivation "we are going to see miracles like multiplying of food" ... just like the time Joyner and crew fed a huge group of people with just one casserole dish that never ran out:

Rick Joyner Warns of Looming Race Riots

On Friday's installment of "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events," Rick Joyner warned that "we are close to having race riots in America" and that the racial tensions created by the Trayvon Martin shooting are giving "the enemy" an opportunity to unleash massive death and destruction in this country.

Explaining that racism "empowers the spirit of death," Joyner pointed to Nazism and Japanese atrocities during World War II as proof of what can happen and warned that, if it takes hold in America, "there will be a whole lot more death and a whole lot more destruction than the last time":

Joyner: Satan is Using Gays and Other 'Useful Idiots' To Destroy America

One of the central components of the work we do here at Right Wing Watch is listening to various radio programs and watching videos produced by an ever-growing army of Religious Right activists.  And among the most unpleasant chores in this process is the regularly viewing of Rick Joyner's daily "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" broadcast, since Joyner generally spends the entire program mostly talking in circles without ever actually saying anything while simultaneously insisting that what he is talking about is vitally important.

Joyner fancies himself to be something of an expert on history, despite the fact that he doesn't really know what he is talking about, and he is convinced, based on a two-day long vision he had several decades ago, that the demonic forces responsible for Nazism in Germany are now trying to take over America.  Thus, we end up with clips like this from yesterday's program where he declares that liberals and gays are "useful idiots" being used by the Devil to bring America down and who, once they succeed, will immediately be wiped out by the very forces they helped to bring to power:

We should probably point out that it was not Marx, but rather Lenin to whom the phrase "useful idiot" is generally attributed.

Religious Right 'War' Room: This Weekend's Awakening Conference

The Freedom Federation – an anti-Obama amalgam of Religious Right groups, "apostolic" ministries, and the corporate-funded astroturf Americans for Prosperity – is holding its third annual Awakening conference in Orlando, Florida this weekend. Here’s how it describes the event:

Uniting our Voices Around Shared Values: Turning Voices into Votes

A war is raging against our shared values. Our faith and freedom are under attack. Silence in the face of this war is not an option. Decisive action is needed. Join with others who share the core values that make America a great nation. Take a stand for righteousness and justice and be part of a new revolution to take back America. The time has come to turn our voices into votes and to change the course of history.

Outreach to the Hispanic community is a major goal of this year’s Awakening and the theme of Friday’s opening night session.  That marks a continuation of the Freedom Federation’s efforts to re-brand the Religious Right as a multiracial and multigenerational movement, and to re-brand the culture war as a “social justice” movement. Last year’s gathering included a major effort to claim a religious grounding for the anti-tax, anti-government agenda of Grover Norquist and the Tea Party.

This year’s conference features Samuel Rodriguez, the head of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, who tries to sell the Religious Right’s culture war to Latinos while trying to get Religious Right leaders to make themselves more palatable to Latinos.  Rodriguez recently said that Latinos are here to “bring panic to the kingdom of darkness” and “make the gospel of Jesus Christ, the church, the most influential institution in America.”  He said God has sent illegal immigrants here to “redeem Christianity” in America.

Also scheduled to address this year’s conference is Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, a favorite of Tea Party and Religious Right leaders who describe him as the party’s Latino Ronald Reagan. Rubio is reportedly concocting a hollowed-out version of the DREAM Act that will try to help Romney and the GOP fix their well-earned image as hostile to the aspirations of millions of immigrants.

A new feature at this year’s Awakening is Patriot Camp on Saturday for kids ages 5-15.  Organizers promise that kids will learn about “the Christian principles on which America was founded,” which is important since, “As most Christians know, our true American heritage is not taught in schools, especially not in an objective manner.”

Notably for this Obama-bashing group, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is sending a video presentation; senior Likud official Moshe Ya'alon, Vice Premier, Minister of Strategic Affairs, is also listed as a speaker.  Also on the list, some of whom might appear by video: Former GOP presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich, and Reps. John Mica and Allen West. West has been warming up for the conference by announcing, McCarthy-style, that dozens of progressive members of the House of Representatives are communists.

The list of speakers is a Who’s Who of the Religious Right and conservative legal movements, including characters like spiritual warrior Lou Engle and Cindy “God kills birds when America supports gays” Jacobs, who once haunted the fringes of the far right but have since been welcomed into a movement seeking to build the broadest political base possible.  Among them:

  • John Stemberger: head of the Florida Family Policy Council who chaired the 2008 campaign that outlawed marriage equality in Florida. Awakening organizers say he has “a unique understanding" of law and government. You could say that: He has argued that only Christians are capable of creating a free society. As a lawyer he once sued a rental car company when an Irish customer was involved in a fatal crash; he argued that the company should have known that an Irish customer “would have a high propensity to drink alcohol.” (He later apologized.)
  • Rick Scarborough:birther, self-proclaimed “Christocrat,” and Rick Perry backer who said last year that he refused to endorse Romney in the primary because he is a Mormon. At the 2010 Awakening, Scarborough called Obama a “Marxist president.” Scarborough stated a few months ago that AIDS is God’s judgment for engaging in an immoral act.
  • Frank Gaffney: his infamous anti-Muslim bigotry, including charges that fellow conservatives are Islamist sympathizers, is so virulent that he was denounced by the American Conservative Union.
  • Harry Jacksonpoint man for the Religious Right’s anti-gay racial wedge strategies, defender of the National Organization for Marriage’s cynical racial wedge politics, and all-around right-wing activist, who recently called for believers to form a “fifth column” to undermine America’s secularist culture from within.
  • Rick Joyner:  a dominionist and self-proclaimed prophet who recently warned people to get out of California because God is going to punish America for not being sufficiently supportive of Israel,  Joyner heads the Oak Initiative.
  • Richard Land:  the primary political spokesman for the Southern Baptist Convention, Land supports the criminalization of homosexuality and recently told NPR that “The Bible tells us that socialism and neo-socialism never worked. Confiscatory tax rates never work.” Land was recently pushed into apologizing both for racially inflammatory remarks about the Trayvon Martin case and for having plagiarized them from right-wing columnists.
  • Janet (Folger) Porter: an anti-abortion activist who famously brought fetuses to “testify” for Ohio’s “Heartbeat Bill,” declared during the 2008 GOP primary that God had chosen Mike Huckabee to lead the nation. Her radio show was dropped by a Christian radio network unhappy with her political embrace of Christian dominionists.
  • Mat Staver: heads Liberty Counsel, recently called the “homosexual agenda” a “moral iceberg” that threatens religious freedom.  At the 2010 Awakening, Staver agreed with a questioner that the health care reform law had a provision that gave Obama the power to create an army of brownshirts that could take control of communities.

Should be more fun than Disney World.  Watch for updates.

Rick Joyner Apologized to Leading Islamic Clerics for America's Perversion, Filth, and Darkness

One of the most frequent attacks that the Right levels against President Obama is that he is constantly apologizing for America to nations around the world, and especially to our enemies, and vowing never to apologize for America has become an easy applause line for GOP presidential hopefuls.

So imagine our surprise as we were watching the last day of Rick Joyner's week-long series on the evils of Islam and heard Joyner recall apologizing to Islamic leaders for the filth, homosexuality, and darkness that America is exporting all over the world.

As Joyner explained, several years ago he attended a "World Public Forum on Civilizations and Religions" where he went out of his way to connect with top Mullahs and Imams from around the world in order to understand why they hated America so much.  In doing so, Joyner learned that foreign Muslims had no idea that there were Christians in America who hated our culture just as much as they did and so he took it upon himself to apologize for America:

I had an experience a few years ago when I was asked to be a delegate at the World Public Forum on Civilizations and Religions and it had the top Mullahs and Imams from every Islamic country ... and I spent all the time I could trying to understand ... and I wanted to hear their perspective; why did they hate America so much?

They had no clue that there was such a thing as Christians in America that didn't like pornography. They saw what was coming out of Hollywood as American Christianity ... And I did apologize - I understand our Republican candidates all saying "I'll never apologize for America," well, I did apologize for America and I won't apologize for doing that!

I apologized for the filth and perversion coming out of Hollywood that I believe is spiritually and morally polluting multitudes all over the earth. This is one of the main reasons why Islam hates us so bad. They say "you put 'In God We Trust' on your money; look at this filth and perversion you're sending all over the world."

You know what? They hate this thing that has them in bondage and they see perverting their own people and they feel that there is nothing they can do but kill us. We've become too perverted. They think America's a homosexual nation, lead, ruled by homosexuals and that this perversion has gone too far, there's nothing to do but destroy America and Americans. That's why they think it's their duty to kill Americans.

They were shocked; they had never heard of Evangelical Christianity, Christians that didn't like this stuff either. But I did apologize to them. I told them I was sorry for what is coming out and I'm sorry that I haven't been the salt that was salty enough or the light that was bright enough to keep that darkness from rising in our country the way it has.

Latest Conspiracy Theory: Muslims Altering US Dollars to Read 'In Allah We Trust'

Self-proclaimed “ex-terrorist” Kamal Saleem tells quite a story about his life, claiming that he worked for late Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, Hamas, the Palestine Liberation Organization, and fought with Al Qaeda in Tora Bora, all before coming to the United States in order to carry out the “culture jihad.” Sure his entire story is a fabrication, but that hasn’t stopped this descendent of the imaginary “Grand Wazir of Islam” from getting speaking gigs across the country where he criticizes Islam and warns of impending Sharia law in the United States.

Yesterday, Saleem sat down again with fellow anti-Muslim activists Jerry Boykin and Rick Joyner on Prophetic Perspectives where he warned that as part of the effort of Muslim-Americans to usher in an Islamic theocracy, they are replacing the words “In God We Trust” on the dollar with “In Allah We Trust”:

Watch:

Boykin: 'Islam is Evil'

Yesterday on Prophetic Perspectives with Rick Joyner, Jerry Boykin sat down with self-proclaimed ex-terrorist Kamal Saleem. We have reported on Saleem’s ridiculously implausible story before, as he claims to be a descendent of the Grand Wazir of Islam, a title that does not exist, and claims to have worked for the secular Palestine Liberation Organization, the Islamist group Hamas, Moammar Qaddafi’s government in Libya, and Al Qaeda in Tora Bora, all until he came to the United States to wage “culture jihad.” Even though Saleem’s story has been thoroughly and routinely debunked, he is still a prominent speaker in Religious Right circles and is an ally of Boykin, a former lieutenant general turned anti-Muslim activist.

On the show, Saleem and Boykin profusely expressed their love for Muslims, but warned that their religion is “evil.” Saleem said that “we’re anti-Islam itself, it’s coming to destroy humanity.” Boykin went on to claim that “Islam is evil, Islam is an evil concept” and said that “we need to reach out to the Muslim people and bring them the light of the Gospel, and we also need to be very clear that Islam in a pure sense, in an authoritative sense, is evil.”

Rick Joyner: West Coast is Doomed

Rick Joyner is doubling down on his claims that an earthquake will soon bring ruin to the west coast, writing in an email today that the New Madrid Fault Line will also rupture. Joyner, the head of MorningStar Ministries and the Oak Initiative, said that America’s policy towards Israel is responsible for “natural disasters that have struck our country.” He has already warned people “to get out of” California because America has “fallen to some of the ultimate depravity that a nation could fall into,” and said that the recent earthquake in Japan will lead to a demonic, Nazi takeover of the United States.

I've had to prophesy many negative things over the last few years, and like it or not (and many don't), we have a track record of accuracy. Quite a few have listened, evaluated, believed, prepared, and have prospered. I know the prepared will prosper in all times, but I would rather not prosper because of catastrophe. Our first goal should be to warn so that the catastrophe does not have to happen. Everything will be settled and made right on the Judgment Day, which is what I've resolved to live for.

Our West Coast is about to be shaken like it has never been shaken before. I am encouraging everyone I know to pray for more time, but we don't have much time. Others also have been seeing similar things along the New Madrid fault line along the Mississippi River. Some have seen this linked with when the U.S. puts serious pressure on Israel to divide Jerusalem. There are amazing parallels between things we have done to Israel with natural disasters that have struck our country. These are not a coincidence.

My bringing these up after the Japan earthquake hit did create one more controversy in a long list of controversies in my life. I don't like controversy, but I realize that not much can be accomplished in these times without it. Though I do not claim to have handled or articulated any word perfectly, and I do spend a lot of time second-guessing myself, in this case the more controversy that is stirred up by this word the better. It is a true word, and the controversy is causing more people to talk about it. Some on the West Coast have started hearing for themselves, even some of the most vehement doubters, and for this I am very thankful.

Even so, the day this begins to unfold on our West Coast will be the worst day of my life. I learned a long time ago that you are unlikely to get credit for accurate prophecies until you're dead and no longer a threat. For this reason, I don't even consider being vindicated. I would much rather be wrong about this one, but I know I'm not. Since the Japan earthquake and tsunami, I have been feeling the grief more and more for our own countrymen that are on our West Coast.

I am thankful too that so many great churches and works of God are on our West Coast, and hopefully all of them can be spared and be like a Goshen. I know great churches and great saints will be needed there like never before. I have considered that this may be why they are not hearing this word—God does not want all of them to leave. We must be praying now for the strengthening and protection of God's people on our West Coast, that they will be mightily used by Him, and that many will be saved for every one who is lost in the impending disasters.

Dominionist Lance Wallnau: Government, Economy and Media Are Occupied by Satan

On Friday’s "Prophetic Prospectives with Rick Joyner," leading Seven Mountains dominionist Lance Wallnau used his trademark Magic Marker illustrations to demonstrate the duty of Christians to occupy the “mountains” of government, media and economics. Referring to the parable of the strong man, Wallnau suggests that these “mountains” of influence are currently being occupied by Satan:

Well, the church is the equipping place, but the world system is where we haven’t gone. We’ve been going into all the nations to plant churches. We haven’t been going into all the nations to invade systems. We have to start to bring the Word of God, the teaching of Christ, into the systems. What systems? The governments need to be led by people with principle. That’s how you overthrow principalities, is people who have anointing and principles occupying high places. The media, right now the economics world, the media world and the government world is shaping every minute that you’re bumping into when you have a conversation….and education. What we need are believers going to the top of these systems because it’s where the high places are that Satan occupies the strong man’s house. And if you want to plunder the strong man’s house, you’ve got to go where the gates of Hell are located.
