Stan Solomon On Michael Brown: 'I'm Glad He's Dead. He Deserves To Be Dead'

Stan Solomon celebrated the death of Michael Brown on his talk show this week during an interview with Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly. The far-right pundit, who marked Trayvon Martin’s death in the same vein, said that “Michael Brown was shot because he’s a thug. I’m glad he’s dead. He deserves to be dead. He was a thug. He had a lifetime of thuggery and his dad was a convicted drug dealer.”

Solomon made the remarks after his other guest, conservative commentator Brent Johnson, dared to suggest that the grand jury investigating Brown’s death was “conducted in an extremely biased matter.” Solomon responded that he was “embarrassed” for Johnson.

Schlafly and Solomon both pledged to give officer Darren Wilson money and defended his role in the shooting.

Solomon: Obama Is 'A Homosexual Muslim Married To A Man'

In an interview last month, after explaining why politicians should fear getting shot, Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt and talk show host Stan Solomon speculated that liberals in the U.S. are teaming up with Muslim radicals in order to destroy America.

Pratt lamented that the “Democrat [sic] party” believes that “everything is to be reduced to race or some sort of sexual perversion,” while Solomon was flummoxed as to why “they can’t help themselves but reach out and hug the Muslims and the Muslims, if they’d ever get into the position, would kill half the Democrats.”

The two then talked about how they have been preparing for the prospect of Sharia law governing America and that unlike defenseless liberals, they will be ready to fight back. Pratt reasoned that “the liberals are so consumed with hatred of our country that when they see somebody like a Muslim who hates America as well, they can’t get it through their head what you just pointed out, that they’re next. If they get those folks in power, if they pull off what they’re trying to do, they’re toast. You and I can probably protect ourselves because we’ve been preparing for that.”

Solomon then suggested that President Obama is Muslim who is married to a man: “A homosexual Muslim married to man, I can’t imagine how Barack Obama would do if he ever ventured into a Muslim country and didn’t have 800,000 armed people around him.” (We aren’t sure if Solomon is referring to the far-right conspiracy theory that Obama is secretly married to his male Pakistani college roommate or the one that Michelle Obama is a transgender woman.)

The gun lobbyist replied that Obama was steeped in Islam but most likely “disparages every religion, his religion is Barack Obama, but he is a man that does not like this country.”

Gun Activists: 'Dispatch' Politicians With 'Metal Jackets'

Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America has repeatedly extolled the virtues of politicians having a “healthy fear” of being shot because such fears are a way to make sure that they “behave” and support gun rights.

Larry Pratt Predicts Immigration Reform Will Lead To 'Communism': 'Kiss Our Republic Goodbye'

Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt has been insistent that Republicans must oppose immigration reform in order to save gun rights, which he claims are threatened by immigrants.

In an interview with extremist talk show host Stan Solomon that was posted online last week, Pratt alleged that immigration reform would destroy the GOP and therefore the country: “That means kiss our Second Amendment goodbye, it means, really, kiss our republic goodbye, because if you give the Democrats a lock on all of the levels of government, the country goes communist.”

“It’s just the end because they know no limit to the big government that they support,” he said. “It will be extremely dangerous, and gun owners will be early on in the sights of those Democrats that might be voted for by the newly minted voters. So the idea of amnesty is a really bad idea.”

Pratt and Solomon also agreed that Speaker John Boehner and the rest of the GOP leadership have effectively “switched sides” and joined the Democratic Party.

Larry Pratt Blames Liberal Politics For San Antonio Train Station Murder

In an interview with far-right talk show host Stan Solomon this month, Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt blamed the fatal beating of a man at an Amtrak station in San Antonio on the fact that San Antonio is a liberal area.

Upon learning that the murder had taken place in San Antonio, Pratt said, “Well, that’s disappointing to hear, because I guess in the city people are rather more liberal than they are in the rest of the state, because if that had been attempted in a medium-sized city, the outcome could have been quite different.”

“Well, there probably could have been 25 people in that Amtrak station who could have pulled a weapon and blown this son-of-a-Michelle to hell,” Solomon replied, apparently a reference to the First Lady, whom he frequently makes a target of puerile jokes.

Last year, Pratt blamed the death toll in the mass shooting that critically wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords on the fact that it took place at “a Democrat town hall meeting of a Democrat representative” and Democrats “don’t necessarily, most of them, believe in carrying guns.” There was, in fact, a man with a gun at the scene who attempted to stop the shooter, but almost shot an innocent man.

Later in the conversation, Solomon blamed the murder on anti-white racism (a favorite theme of his), while his cohost “Chief” Steve Davis speculated that if the “race-baiter and race-agitator” Barack Obama “was not the president, this would not have happened.”

Larry Pratt: Elliot Rodger's Manifesto 'Reflects The Thinking Of A Person Like Our President'

According to Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America, the unhinged, misogynist manifesto written by Elliot Rodger before he killed six people and himself in a mass shooting outside of Santa Barbara “reflects the thinking of a person like our president.”

In an interview last week with Stan Solomon, the GOA executive director reacted to Rodger's shooting spree the way he reacts to every mass shooting – by finding anything to blame other than guns.

Solomon ripped into Richard Martinez, who criticized the NRA after losing his son in the shooting, calling the bereaved father a “stupid son of a bitch” and asking “what the hell is wrong with you?” Mistakenly thinking that Martinez lost a daughter in the shooting, he added, “If you had taught your daughter how to have and use a weapon, she might still be alive.”

Pratt responded by blaming Rodger’s lack of a “traditional kind of family life” for the shooting, adding, “I think that the parents deserve a lot of the credit slash blame for bringing up a son like that.” (Pratt has also blamed Trayvon Martin’s death on his “broken family”).

The two then discussed Rodger’s manifesto, in which he railed at women for refusing to have sex with him, which Pratt said reminded him of President Obama.

The manifesto, Pratt said, “clearly reflects the thinking of a person like our president, who’s extremely narcissistic and it’s all about me, all about me.”

Larry Pratt Compares Armed Militias At Bundy Ranch To Colonists In The American Revolution

Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America is hailing the militia members who incited an armed standoff at Cliven Bundy’s Nevada ranch as a demonstration of patriotism reminiscent of the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Speaking yesterday with far-right pundit Stan Solomon, Pratt saluted the armed militias for intimidating law enforcement officers to the point where “everybody came to realize that we can’t have another Waco, the people are prohibiting us from having another Waco.”

Solomon also lauded the rancher’s armed supporters and argued that during the 1993 standoff with the Branch Davidians “if it hadn’t been for the goodness of the Waco folks” then “there would have been thirty or forty dead” “federales.”

“What they were hoping obviously was that they could run tanks in like they did at Waco as a final, murderous act, but clearly that wasn’t going to be political possible in ‘Bunkerville,’” Pratt said. “It’s interesting, the country you could in a way say it got started at Bunker Hill and it got a new injection of life at Bunkerville, Nevada.”

Phyllis Schlafly Applauds Stan Solomon's Homophobic Rant Against Obama

Eagle Forum head Phyllis Schlafly is quite taken with right-wing pundit Stan Solomon, and last week hailed an unhinged rant Solomon delivered against Muslim-Americans and President Obama.

“I don’t really give a damn if there are any Muslims here but if they are here and they don’t want to be Americans, then get the hell out, and the same for any other group,” Solomon said, before railing against the president. “Barack Obama is not an American, never has been, not in his actions, not in his speech, not in his politics and not in his birth.”

“And not in his baseball throw either,” cohost and former congressional candidate Steve Davis interjected.

“He’s a homosexual, always has been, is now, always will be,” Solomon continued. “That’s his right to be but this nonsense that somehow homosexuality is something equal to or preferable to is just wrong.”

Schlafly applauded his remarks: “Very well stated Stan, thank you for being a voice of truth and sanity on the air.”

Maybe Schlafly agreed with Solomon’s claims because she heard them before, as she was the guest on a previous edition of The Talk To Solomon Show on which Solomon said that “Barack Obama is a wussy guy who throws a ball like a girl, who everyone knows was involved in homosexuality and I think he is the stereotypical — if he could get away with it he’d be in drag.”

Schlafly And Solomon Suggest Ukraine-Style Uprising Against Obama

In an interview late last month with Stan Solomon of the Talk to Solomon Show, Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly agreed with Solomon’s suggestion that President Obama’s opponents “should be at least as strong as the Ukrainians” and march on Washington to depose the current government.

“If we would have not 100,000 but 100 million march on Washington and say, ‘No way,’ I don’t think our military and the few pitiful police they have there wouldn’t be able to stop us,” Solomon said. “I don’t think our military would fire on the American people. And we need to clean that cesspool of Democrats and Republicans, of illegals certainly, and say it’s time to save America for America, basically.”

“Yes, I agree, America for Americans,” Schlafly responded.

The interview was recorded on January 28, but uploaded yesterday to Vimeo.

Paranoia-Rama: This Week In Right-Wing Lunacy - 12/6/13

RWW's Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

Did you know that gay people seek to use the government to steal the children of conservative parents and kill Christians? Or that a commonsense, bipartisan bill to ban undetectable guns first signed into law by Ronald Reagan is actually a plot by President Obama to threaten all gun owners? Well, we didn’t! But thanks to the totally reasonable and coherent arguments from right-wing figures, we do now:

5. The Gay-Liberal Adoption Plot Exposed

Stan Solomon, who you might remember from such conspiracy theories as ‘Obama is forming a black paramilitary’ and ‘Obamacare will force people into electro-shock therapy,’ now warns that liberals will take the children of conservative parents and put them into the homes of abusive gay couples. Of course, Phyllis Schlafly thinks Solomon is onto something:

4. Limbaugh Senses Conspiracy Behind Retraction Of Erroneous Report

The World Health Organization corrected a report that mistakenly claimed there was a rise in “self-inflicted” HIV infections in Greece as a way to collect welfare benefits , saying the report was unfounded and a result of an editing error: “There is no evidence suggesting that deliberate self-infection with H.I.V. goes beyond a few anecdotal cases.” But it didn't matter to Rush Limbaugh, who insisted that, in fact, the original, erroneous WHO declaration was true:

So what do you think really happened here? Do you think they goofed up? I don’t, either. I think they’re trying to walk back what they inadvertently admitted yesterday. And being leftists, I’m sure they didn't think that they would get the kind of reaction they got. I’m sure they were expecting to get reactions rooted in sympathy and compassion, and instead they got reactions that were based and rooted in outrage. They were not prepared for that, so now it's, dare we say, CYA time here at the World Health Organization.

3. Obama Trying To Close Vatican Embassy

Even though the words “relocate” and “close” are different words that mean different things, Republicans pounced on the news that the US Embassy to the Holy See, or the Vatican, will be relocated to charge that Obama is trying to close the embassy as part of his anti-Catholic agenda.

Jeb Bush suggested it was the result of “retribution for Catholic organizations opposing Obamacare;” the National Republican Senatorial Committee called it “a slap in the face to Catholic-Americans;” one Washington Times columnist billed the move as an attempt to “snub the Pope” and “pick a fight with Catholics” and a Breitbart blogger said it was the result of “the Regime’s pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage stance.”

“Neither Obama, nor the State Department, are planning on permanently closing the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See – also known as the Vatican,” CNN reports. “What is happening, however, is the building the embassy is currently using is being moved to a property closer to Vatican City.”

The Washington Post points out that the government report “which urged moving the embassy for both cost and security reasons — as well as practicality” was issued during the Bush administration in 2008, or before Obama even took office.

2. Ban On Undetectable Guns Threatens All Gun Owners

Gun Owners of America is deeply concerned that the House of Representatives passed a bipartisan bill to “extend a ban on manufacturing plastic firearms that are not detectable by security-screening devices.” The right-wing group’s spokesman Erich Pratt claims that the bill will open “the door for greater mischief much later,” will inevitably be “twisted by President Obama,” and represents “an unconstitutional infringement of our liberties that is not only ineffective, but could eventually be expanded by an anti-gun administration to ban even more guns.”

The National Association for Gun Rights put out a similar petition demanding the House “oppose any and all gun control legislation” unless they too want to be labeled as “gun-grabbers” and “anti-gunners.” NAGR calls the bill “a ticking time bomb” that “could spell disaster for gun owners.”

How far out are GOA and NAGR for opposing a bill prohibiting the manufacture of undetectable plastic guns? Not only does the GOP leadership support an extension of the 1988 law (that’s right, signed into law by Ronald Reagan), but even the National Rifle Association refused to oppose the bill.

1. Gay Marriage Will Kill Christians

We probably shouldn’t be surprised that a commentator for Renew America believes that the gay rights movement is a Satanic plot to murder Christians.

“The Godless communists (or fascists, if you prefer) are using the homosexual agenda to work toward eradicating Christian opposition to their plans, which are Satan’s plans,” Gina Miller writes. “If you know your Bible, then you know that Christianity is destined to be outlawed. We are moving steadily toward a time when Christians here in America will be in danger of state-sanctioned murder for their beliefs.”

We really couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried:

Schlafly & Solomon: Liberals Will Take Kids From Conservatives, Give Them To Gays Who Will Abuse Them

Last night, Stan Solomon hosted Eagle Forum head Phyllis Schlafly to discuss his latest conspiracy theory that liberals intend to take kids away from conservatives and give them to gay people, some of whom will inevitably molest them.

Why haven’t you and I heard of this plot? Because the media is covering it up, of course!

Schlafly also criticized President Obama for “insulting” Americans when he “omitted” the word “God” from his recent recitation of the Gettysburg Address. Of course, her claim is completely false: Obama was reading the first draft of the speech, which did not include a reference to God.

Solomon called Obama a “foulmouthed, homosexual, drug-using, ne’er-do-well,” while Schlafly suggested that he only became president because “he had people behind him pushing him all the way.” “I really don’t think he’s very smart,” she said. “He can only say what somebody puts on the teleprompter for him.”

Pratt: Impeach Obama Before He Takes 'Total Control'

Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt appeared on the Talk To Solomon Show this week to issue his usual warnings about President Obama becoming a dictator. He told Solomon that Obama is “a very dangerous man” who “really has an impulse for total control,” calling on Republicans in Congress to refuse to fund Obama-backed projects. He says that this will provoke Obama to “spend money without authorization” and that will be “the time to impeach him.”

Pratt later discussed with co-hosts Stan Solomon and Steve Davis the best ways to repeal Obamacare, with Pratt urging that Republicans dismantle the health care law before “people start getting free stuff.”

“We’re on death row, Obamacare has put the American people on death row,” Davis charged, warning Americans will soon be “destroyed by Obamacare.” Solomon said that Obama administration officials are “sucking the brains out of America through their nostrils” and said he is “all for killing anything and everything and all things, I did not say anything about any people although if some of them on the left dropped dead I certainly will take the time to go to their funerals so I have a place to urinate.”

Davis chimed in: “Well there’s a death panel for that now.”

“But that doesn’t apply to Democrats,” Solomon replied.

Pratt: Obamacare Could Lead To Gun Confiscations, Concentration Camps

Larry Pratt is back to repeating his debunked conspiracy theory that the government is taking guns from veterans as part of a Nazi/Soviet plot. The Gun Owners of America head floated the false rumors that doctors are part of a government effort to confiscate veterans’ guns while appearing on the Talk To Solomon Show, with co-hosts Stan Solomon and Steve Davis.

Responding to Solomon’s claim that “the Obama administration is working to disarm every veteran” and will use Obamacare to “literally take away the rights of every American to have a firearm," Pratt alleged that the administration is spearheading “backdoor gun control.”

“They are doing it to the whole country, they field tested it on veterans, and now it’s the whole country,” Pratt said. “We are looking at a major assault on the right to keep and bear arms, it is reminiscent of Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, where they used doctors as part of their torture routines and got people sent to the camps for improvement of their mental health.”

After Davis warned that “government-run health care” is encouraging gun confiscations, Pratt feared that doctors may soon be compelled to “submit medical information to the big computers in the sky” because of Obamacare.

Pratt: 'Obama Is Consistently Helping Al Qaeda' Because He 'Hates This Country'

Talk show host Stan Solomon’s recent violent rant against Trayvon Martin, Dan Savage and Michelle Obama apparently hasn’t gotten in the way of his friendship with Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt.

On Tuesday, Pratt stopped by The Talk To Solomon Show, where he regularly discusses with Solomon why he believes President Obama will become a murderous dictator. Pratt floated the conspiracy theory that the US annex in Benghazi, which was attacked by Islamic extremists, was smuggling arms to Syrian rebels, including Al Qaeda.

“It’s just stunning that Obama is consistently helping Al Qaeda throughout the Middle East and I guess anywhere else he can as well,” Pratt told Solomon, “that’s how much I think Obama hates this country.” Later, he cited to a WorldNetDaily manifesto calling for Obama’s impeachment and urged the House of Representatives to begin holding impeachment hearings.

Stan Solomon: Trayvon Martin Deserved To Die And So Does 'That Faggot' Dan Savage

Conservative talk show host Stan Solomon is obsessed with the idea that President Obama is fomenting a race war in order to murder white, Christian heterosexuals, so when we noticed he was hosting a special “Race In America” program to commemorate the March on Washington, we knew we had to watch. Solomon -- who regularly interviews conservative figures including Phyllis Schlafly, E.W. Jackson, Larry Pratt and Alan Keyes -- used the occasion to deliver an epic rant accusing Jews, gays, African Americans and Muslims of being pawns of the Satanic left, hailing the murder of Trayvon Martin and announcing that he hopes “that faggot” Dan Savage dies.

Listen to me carefully. No you don’t, kiss my Obama, I don’t give a damn what you do, I know what I’m going to do and I know what people with an ‘I’ and a ‘Q’ are going to do. The left, which is godless and serves Satan, has an agenda. To accomplish their agenda they have to get idiots, morons, numbnuts to do stupid things so the focus will be on them and not on the libs, not on the leftists. Jews, homosexuals, blacks, gays, Islamists, you may think they’re disparate groups, they’re not, they’re all tools. Because while we’re mad at these two punks, we’re mad at Trayvon Martin, that thug that deserves to be dead and I’m glad he’s dead.

Pieces of crap, homosexuals like what’s that one guy’s name? [Dan] Savage. That faggot. That horrible, awful, terrible excuse for a human being who is at the White House promoting attacks on Christians. I hope he dies — he probably will — of every disease known. By the way, I’m sending him a fire hydrant for his birthday, I’m hoping he’ll sit on it; he’ll slide all the way down to the ground. Sorry fire hydrant fans, I don’t mean to insult fire hydrants.

At any rate, do you understand what I’m saying here? These groups are being recruited. Environmentalists, nuclear freeze, it doesn’t make a difference what group it is. If you put anything ahead of doing what’s right in God’s eyes, or better yet ignoring the reality of God, then you’re a tool, you’re a useful idiot.

Solomon then called on his white viewers to buy guns to protect themselves against black and Latino “terrorists.”

“If you’re white, you’re a target,” Solomon contended. “Get a gun, know how to use it, never be without it and don’t leave your family unprotected.” He warned that black and Latino public school and college students are “terrorists in training” who are “being taught” to hate white people.

“You have to go to college and admit, ‘Oh if you’re white it’s unfair.’ Pretend like you’re black, pretend like you’re a homosexual, which means you are sick and stupid and ignorant and going to die, early,” Solomon continued.

“If somebody comes at you—I don’t give a damn if you’re white, black, pink or purple—and you’re not sure, shoot him and find out later. It’s better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.”

“George Zimmerman knows all about that,” co-host “Chief” Steve Davis replied.

But it didn’t end there.

Solomon, not one to hold back on making racist jokes about Michelle Obama, attacked the first lady over her promotion of healthy eating among youth: “They have that Michelle O-Buick butt Obama’s you know, by the way, she doesn’t eat that crap, she eats like a garbage disposal at a fast food joint. Actually, they might name one after her….They just eat the biggest junk in the world.”

He said he wouldn’t say anything about Malia and Sasha Obama, “except that I wish them the best having crap for parents.”

Pratt: Obama Administration Officials Are Terrorists, See Americans As The Enemy

Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America seems convinced that the Obama administration will launch some sort of anti-Christian, anti-white race war any day now, and told talk show host Stan Solomon that the Department of Homeland Security considers the American people to be “the enemy.”

After Solomon brought up a 2009 FBI memo about a surge in activity among “white supremacy extremist and militia/sovereign-citizen extremist groups,” and the FBI mentioned that it would work with the Defense Department to share information “related only to veterans who draw the attention of Defense Department officials for joining white-supremacist or other extremist groups.”

Of course, this led Pratt to attack outgoing DHS head Janet Napolitano, accusing her of pursuing people who have a “limited government philosophy, that are pro-Second Amendment, that are pro-life, that are pro-traditional marriage.” The influential gun lobbyist seems to be referring to a right-wing conspiracy theory that DHS is targeting conservatives.

Solomon ranted that Obama administration officials “don’t care about terrorists, they encourage terrorists and frankly they are terrorists,” to which Pratt agreed.

Watch:

Pratt: Napolitano was telling us, telling specifically police agencies across the country to be on the lookout for those that could be terrorists, that would include people who have some sort of limited government philosophy, that are pro-Second Amendment, that are pro-life, that are pro-traditional marriage, those are the places where the terrorist pool is located, that’s where they will be coming from. We should’ve realized then that what she was actually saying is that the enemy of the Obama government is the American people.

Solomon: Bingo. That’s exactly it. They weren’t looking for terrorists, they don’t care about terrorists, they encourage terrorists and frankly they are terrorists.

Pratt: Yeah.

Schlafly: Immigration And Health Care Reform Are Part Of Obama's Plan To Introduce Communism

Eagle Forum head Phyllis Schlafly, one of the most vocal opponents of immigration reform, took her case to the sympathetic audience at the Talk To Solomon Show last week. Schlafly told host Stan Solomon that President Obama’s drive “to put another thirty million people on our health care system ties in with Obama’s plan for amnesty, to bring them in by the millions and load them onto the taxpayer.”

Solomon explained that the result would be communism: “This is the design, communism is equal but awful, everyone has the same but no one has everything. Everyone has the same but no one has anything. That’s Obama’s plan.”

“That’s his plan,” Schlafly replied.

Earlier this year, Schlafly similarly alleged that immigration reform efforts were crafted by “socialist-minded people” who “want to destroy our system.”

Watch:

Pratt and Solomon: Obamacare Will Force Gun Owners to Undergo Electro-Shock Therapy

On a recent episode of the Talk to Solomon Show, Gun Owners of America executive director and actual influential person Larry Pratt played a sort of conspiracy-theory Mad Libs with host Stan Solomon, which resulted in the conclusion that Obamacare will force gun owners to undergo electro-shock therapy against their wills.

Solomon started off the conversation by reading from a Fort Myers, Florida News-Press story about a surge of people with severe depression or bipolar disorder seeking out electro-shock therapy treatment from a local hospital. He took this and ran with it, predicting that the government will soon force gun owners who resist home invasion to undergo the treatment.

Pratt agreed, saying, “I think part of that is what we’re seeing in Obamacare. This is going to be what you’re talking about several times over.”

Pratt: NSA Surveillance Will Force Us to Become 'Literal' Bomb-Throwers

On the latest episode of the Talk to Solomon Show, Gun Owers of American director Larry Pratt and his unhinged pal Stan Solomon start out having fun with words and end up threating to become "literal" anti-government "bomb-throwers."

In an episode of the Talk to Solomon show posted yesterday, Pratt and Solomon get very excited about the prospect of Sarah Palin running for Senate in Alaska (something that Palin herself has shown no public interest in).  Pratt tells Solomon that Palin would be a much-needed “bomb-thrower” in the Senate, at which point Solomon interejects with a clarification to the NSA, which he believes might be “monitoring” his publicly available show: “By the way, NSA, if you’re monitoring our show, that was just a manner of speech, ‘bomb-throwers.’ We’re not Muslim morons. We’re not Democrat idiots. We’re actually intelligent life forms, so drop dead.”

Pratt, however, evidently thinks Solomon is being too cautious: “Well, if they keep listening in on our conversations, who knows when it might become literal instead of a figure of speech.”

Pratt: Obama Becoming Like Lenin, And Public Schools are to Blame

Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt paid yet another visit to the Talk to Solomon Show last week, to discuss how President Obama is moving in a “dictatorial direction” reminiscent of the “history of despotism,” which isn’t widely appreciated because of “a government-school spawned ignorance of history.”

Pratt started the conversation with his standard explanation that the Second Amendment exists so that “the people would always have the means to resist the government, by force of arms if need be.”

Efforts to expand background checks on gun sales, he warned, are  “a pretty dangerous notion, when the very people who are the target of our guns are able to determine whether or not we get a gun.”

Later in the program, Solomon tried to rally those who might not buy into his Obama-centric conspiracy theories. “The people who the Nazis slaughtered for the most part supported their policies initially,” he warned. “If you think because you’re black, because you’re gay, because you’re a Democrat, because you’re a liberal, that they’re not going to do equally or worse to you than they are to the rest of us, I believe you are mistaken.”

“Well, that’s the history of despotism,” Pratt replied, going on to compare Obama to Vladimir Lenin. “You’re absolutely correct that those that think that if Obama were to continue moving in his dictatorial direction that they would somehow be immune because they have been politically allied, big mistake, and it reflects a government-school spawned ignorance of history.”
