Klingenschmitt: Al Franken is 'Causing More Suicides' by Backing Anti-Bullying Bill

Earlier this month, Gordon Klingenschmitt accused Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) of “homosexualizing kids” and acting like late North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il over his efforts to pass legislation geared at preventing bullying because Franken other progressives have “deified sin as their god.” Now, Klingenschmitt is accusing Franken of “causing more suicides” for sponsoring the anti-bullying bill. Klingenschmitt is not alone in promoting the claim that backing efforts to prevent the bullying of LGBT youth will increase the suicide rate, as Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel have made similar claims. “Teen suicide is tragic enough without Senator Franken recruiting more kids into homosexuality, which causes depression, self-hatred, self-rejection and self-murder,” Klingenschmitt writes, “Franken's plan will result in more teen suicides, not less”:

But villains like Sen. Al Franken who is the main architects writing legislation to make it LAW that your children must be recruited by homosexual perverts in public schools.

Sen. Franken recently released a video in which he blames the high rate of suicide among homosexual teens on school bullying, by abusing these sad tragedies as his own propaganda tool. By spreading even more lies to more teens, Franken is ultimately causing more suicides.

Teen suicide is tragic enough without Senator Franken recruiting more kids into homosexuality, which causes depression, self-hatred, self-rejection and self-murder. The best way to stop teen suicide is to show confused teens there is hope and healing and forgiveness in Jesus Christ! Teens trapped in sin need Jesus, not liberal propaganda that promotes more sin and more depression.

But the bully Franken wants to de-fund any public school that won't give his mandatory pro-homosexual lectures to kids, starting in kindergarten. If Franken wins, adult teachers will bully innocent kids into rejecting the traditional values of their parents. Your kids will not only be sexually "re-educated," they'll be told they can't pray in school.

Franken's plan will result in more teen suicides, not less. We must stop this! Let's petition Congress to protect our children.

While gay, lesbian, and preverts are pushing this onto elementry school kids in California, there are over 140 Congress men in DC trying to do the same thing in every school across America, both private and public. Senator Al Franken and Homosexual Congressman Jared Polis have introduced S.555 and H.R. 998 the "Homosexual Classrooms Act" aka Student Non-Discrimination.

The Obama Administration would make it legal for homosexuals to recruit your children starting in the first grade, with mandatory classroom lectures that normalize sin. Educators will be required to ask your children if they are straight or gay starting in the 1st grade, and they will be able to help each child find his or her "chosen" sexuality. At an age when most kids don't even know what sex is, they will be forced to endure pro-homosexual propaganda. Schools that decline will lose their funding.

NOM Promotes Patrick Wooden and AFTAH's Rally against the SPLC

The National Organization for Marriage is now promoting last week’s rally hosted by virulent anti-gay activists Peter LaBarbera and Patrick Wooden, of ‘gay diapers’ fame, against the Southern Poverty Law Center. The rally included speeches from not only Wooden and LaBarbera but also a representative from Scott Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries, who said in a statement that he is “asking God himself to destroy this organization.” Wooden, who spoke alongside NOM president Brian Brown at a North Carolina rally for a constitutional amendment outlawing same-sex marriage, has said that homosexuality is a “wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human sexual behavior” and that gay men are forced “to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels” as a result of “the problems that homosexuals have with their rectums.”

The rally was organized by Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, the group led by LaBarbera who has said that gay rights is “Satan’s plan” and “Satan’s point of attack on the United States,” claimed “Oprah [Winfrey] will have to answer to her Creator” for “promoting” homosexuality, wondered if gay TSA agents were deliberately groping passengers, attacked the US for trying “to lecture the Ugandans about homosexuality” by opposing their “kill the gays” bill, and agreed with Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern that homosexuality is more dangerous than terrorism and the greatest threat to America.

NOM is not alone in pushing Wooden and LaBarbera’s work. American Family Association president Tim Wildmon and Family Research Council president Tony Perkins recently had Wooden on their radio show Today’s Issues where they lauded his stance against gay rights.

Family Research Council Denounces Indiana License Plate for 'Promoting a Homosexual Recruitment Group'

As we reported last week, the American Family Association fiercely condemned Indiana’s bureau of motor vehicles for selling license plates where part of the proceeds will go towards the Indiana Youth Group’s efforts to provide safe spaces for LGBT youth and straight allies. Now, the Family Research Council is attacking Indiana over the move, with president Tony Perkins using his daily radio bulletin to blast the “special edition homosexual youth plate” and “promoting a homosexual recruitment group.” Perkins also seems to be generally disapproving of license plates that reflect people’s “political views,” which is ironic since the FRC commends states for selling “Choose Life” license plates:

Perkins: It looks like homosexuals are taking their message on the road--at least in one Midwestern state. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. People in Indiana have a lot on their plates, including it seems, their political views. For Hoosiers looking for a new way to show their rainbow pride, the BMV is offering a new vehicle for change--the special edition homosexual youth plate. Each one costs an extra $40, with more than half of that going to groups that promote "tolerance" in schools. According to local groups, the LGBT plate is the first of its kind. The Indiana Youth Group had tried before to get the plate approved--and lost. This year, the BMV just caved. For most Hoosiers, the news is pretty disturbing--especially since the state put up roadblocks to the national motto on plates. Now we've gone from blocking "In God We Trust" to promoting a homosexual recruitment group? For a state known as the "Crossroads of America," Indiana just took a major detour on values.

Alliance Defense Fund Stokes Anti-Gay Fears in Alaska, Quickly Debunked by Alaskans

The Religious Right legal advocacy group the Alliance Defense Fund is working with the far-right Alaska Family Council to fight an anti-discrimination ordinance in Anchorage, Alaska, because it will protect people based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. The Arizona-based ADF has made it its mission to fighting against gay rights in the courts, and its president Alan Sears earlier claimed that “no compromise is possible” with “the homosexual agenda.”

The Anchorage Daily News reports that ADF lawyer Holly Carmichael is telling Anchorage voters that religious liberty would be threatened by the initiative, but local religious groups and Anchorage employment lawyer Thomas Daniel interviewed say that the ADF isn’t telling the truth as the ordinance plainly does not affect existing religious exemptions:

A national conservative Christian legal group says the gay rights initiative on Anchorage's April 3 city election ballot, coupled with existing Anchorage discrimination law, undercuts religious liberty.

But a well-known Anchorage employment lawyer, Thomas Daniel, says he doesn't think the initiative impinges on freedom for religious groups at all.

The initiative up for public vote would extend legal protections against discrimination to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in Anchorage. Current law already prohibits discrimination in employment, loans, rentals, real estate deals and other activities on the basis of race, color, marital status, sex, religion, disabilities and the like. The initiative would add sexual orientation and transgender identity to the list.

The main problem as the Alliance Defense Fund sees it is that private business owners could be forced to hire or do business with people whose sexual orientation doesn't match their religious beliefs, said Holly Carmichael, a lawyer for the fund.

"The ultimate concern with enacting something like that is that it infringes on religious freedoms," Carmichael said. "There's a huge constitutional concern here. Both Carmichael and Daniel, the Anchorage attorney, agree that religious organizations are protected by an exemption already in city law that says religious institutions and groups can give preferential treatment to people of the same religion if they are, for example, hiring someone who will promote religious principles.

The Defense Fund analyzed the Anchorage initiative several weeks ago at the request of the Alaska Family Council, a conservative Christian organization that opposes the initiative.

"We just want to be really clear about the consequences of enacting it," said Jim Minnery, Alaska Family Council president.

Supporters of the initiative also include religious people, with 40 ordained pastors plus others in two pro-initiative groups, Christians for Equality and Faith Leaders for Equality, said the Rev. Michael Burke of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

Burke said sponsors of the initiative consciously decided not to change the existing Anchorage law regarding religious exemptions to discrimination law. In cases where religious principles are not involved, religious groups do have to follow discrimination law with regard to race, color, sex, religion, etc. But the initiative sponsors did not add sexual orientation or transgender identity to the list.

American Family Association and Family Research Council Proud to Stand with Anal-Obsessed Pastor Patrick Wooden

On Today’s Issues, American Family Association president Tim Wildmon and Family Research Council president Tony Perkins hosted and praised North Carolina pastor and anti-gay activist Patrick Wooden, the very same pastor who said that gay men “have to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels,” to condemn the Southern Poverty Law Center’s work against anti-gay organizations. Wooden has not only focused on “what happens to the male anus” but also said homosexuality is “wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human” and should make people “literally gag.”

Remember, this is the pastor the AFA and the FRC brought on their radio show to prove why they do not deserve the SPLC’s ‘hate group’ classification.

During the show, Wooden claimed that SPLC, which he recently protested alongside Peter LaBarbera and Matt Barber, was “hijacked” and “infiltrated” by gay rights advocates, and called homosexuality “deviant” and a “death style,” and even claimed that the LGBT community discriminates against African American males.

Perkins accused the SPLC of trying to “silence the debate” over gay rights and Wildmon asserted that the SPLC “switched over” to covering LGBT issues because racism is in “rearview mirror here in our country and we moved beyond that and they had to have something to do,” and labeled the AFA and FRC anti-gay hate groups simply because the two organization “stands for traditional marriage and against homosexual marriage.” However, their stance on marriage equality was not part of the SPLC’s criteria as “not one of them was listed because of their position on same-sex marriage.”

North Carolina's Anti-Marriage Leader Has an Anal Obsession

Yesterday, North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden appeared with right-wing activists Peter LaBarbera and Matt Barber at the protest against the Southern Poverty Law Center, which Wooden condemned for its support of LGBT rights. Prior to the demonstration, Wooden appeared on LaBarbera’s radio show where he railed against gays and lesbians and claimed that gay men “have to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels”:

Wooden: The God of the Bible made the human sperm, the God of the Bible designed it and it was not designed to be emptied into an area that is filled with feces, there is nothing for it to germinate with, it will most certainly mean the extinction of the human race. My belief is that if the medical community would just step forward and just would share with the American people what happens to the male anus, the problems that homosexuals have with their rectums, the damage that is done, the operations that are needed to sew up their bodies if you will, and how many of the men don’t even give these stitches time to heal before they are back out there practicing that wicked behavior. Some are bleeders, men who are not turned off by ingesting the feces of other men.

If the truth was told, people would literally gag and no one would want to be in a lifestyle like that. Who wants to practice anything that is going to ultimately lead a grown man to about the time he’s in his 40s or 50s, or what not, having to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels?

He also told LaBarbera that homosexuality was “wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human” and that African Americans “ought to be appalled, ought to be angry” at gay rights advocates.

Wooden: It’s easy for African Americans when they’re not thinking, when they’re not thinking, to equate their beautiful blackness, their beautiful skin color, those of us who are darker than blue, it’s easy for us to equate given the history of the country our plight with those who want civil rights status based on who they have sex with, and it’s deviant, ungodly, unhealthy sex at that. I think that every African American ought to be appalled, ought to be angry, and should begin to wave their fist in the air and declare black power and say to the homosexual lobbyists, the homosexual groups, how dare you compare your wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human sexual behavior to our beautiful skin color.

But Wooden is no fringe figure, and is actually one of the major spokesmen for the campaign to pass an amendment to North Carolina’s constitution outlawing same-sex marriage.

Wooden was “the main speaker for the rally” organized by the conservative North Carolina Family Policy Council where he shared the stage with National Organization for Marriage president Brian Brown and Randy Wilson, the Family Research Council’s National Field Director. He also spoke at a press conference alongside Republican House Speaker Pro Tem Dale Folwell and Kevin Daniels of the right-wing Frederick Douglass Foundation in support of the bill, and Wooden is spearheading outreach to African American voters on behalf of Vote for Marriage NC, the umbrella group led by NOM, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, NC Values Coalition and the Christian Action League.

So while the amendment’s proponents claim that their campaign “will focus on the unique common good that marriage provides to society,” they also bolster the message that gay men have to wear diapers (or a butt plug) because of “what happens to the male anus.”

Chuck Colson's Latest Pathetic Claim that LGBT Rights is Undermining Religious Freedom

Today on his radio bulletin Breakpoint, Manhattan Declaration co-author Chuck Colson claimed that the Obama administration has abandoned freedom of religion in order to advance LGBT rights. While attacking Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s speech on LGBT rights abroad as “disastrous foreign policy,” Colson claimed that “in one fell swoop, she changed our God-given right to freedom of religion, a public act, to a much more restricted ‘freedom of worship,’ a private act, which any Chinese official could go along with,” while placing the “‘right to love in the way they choose’ as a fundamental human right.”

Of course, this argument that the mere use of the phrase “freedom of worship” has negated the freedom of religion ignores Secretary Clinton’s speeches on the freedom of religion, and as Kyle pointed out earlier, even former President George W. Bush frequently talked about the “freedom of worship.” Bush used the phrase four times in a 2008 proclamation, which if issued by Clinton or President Obama would surely have created uproar from the Religious Right.

But never mind all that, because for Colson, whipping-up anti-gay paranoia is far more important than the facts:

It started as a drip, drip, drip. Then the flow increased, and now it’s a gusher: The Obama administration has decided to promote and emphasize lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered rights—and it is doing so at the expense of everyone’s God-given freedom of religion. Those are tough words, but regrettably, true words.

In December 9, 2009 in a major address entitled, “Human Rights Agenda for the 21st Century,” Secretary of State Clinton said people “must be free to worship, associate, and to love in the way that they choose.” Did you catch that? In one sentence, little noticed at the time, Mrs. Clinton showed the Administration’s true priorities. In one fell swoop, she changed our God-given right to freedom of religion, a public act, to a much more restricted “freedom of worship,” a private act, which any Chinese official could go along with. And at the same time, Mrs. Clinton, speaking for the administration, elevated the quote “right to love in the way they choose” as a fundamental human right.

Lest you think I’m overreacting to an isolated statement, the intervening years have amply borne out my concerns. Freedom of worship has been substituted for freedom of religion in speech after speech by administration officials. Just last month, the Secretary told a gathering of diplomats that “gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights.” She also said the “most challenging issue arises when people cite religious or cultural values as a reason to violate or not to protect the human rights of LGBT citizens.” As I mentioned before on BreakPoint, this is a disastrous foreign policy. African nations are already up in arms, and it certainly isn’t going to help us with Muslim nations, who view U.S. advocacy for homosexuality as proof of Western decadence.

Not to be outdone, President Obama told a pro-gay-rights group, “Every single American—gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender—every single American deserves to be treated equally before the law.” Does that include marriage? Well, the President’s secretary for Housing and Urban Development, Shaun Donovan, has just said that he “absolutely” supports same-sex marriage. The Administration has already refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act. And before the EEOC, officials have said in a contest “between religious liberty and sexual liberty,” sexual liberty triumphs.

Can you see where all this is headed?

While Protesting Southern Poverty Law Center, AFTAH Proves Why It's A 'Hate Group'

Today, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality’s Peter LaBarbera and Liberty Counsel’s Matt Barber protested today outside of the headquarters of the Southern Poverty Law Center, along with other anti-gay activists, over the group’s “thinly-veiled, one-sided campaign to demonize adherents of traditional Judeo-Christian morality.” AFTAH, along with other anti-gay organizations, is incensed that the SPLC classified them as “anti-gay hate groups.”

One of the activists joining them was North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden, one of the chief organizers for the North Carolina amendment to ban same-sex marriage. Not that the SPLC needed further proof of AFTAH’s demonization of gays and lesbians, but while appearing on LaBarbera’s radio show, Wooden told LaBarbera that homosexuality would “most certainly mean the extinction of the human race.” He claims that the medical community is suppressing the truth about the medical problems of homosexuals as it would make people “gag and no one would want to be in a lifestyle like that,” arguing that by the time gay mean reach their middle ages they “have to wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels” because of “what happens to the male anus.”

Listen:

Wooden also said that black people must “declare black power” and fight against gays and lesbians who he says compare their “wicked, deviant, immoral, self-destructive, anti-human sexual behavior to our beautiful skin color.”

Listen:

Ryan Dobson and Jeff Wright Agree that 6 out of 10 Gay Men were Abused as Children

Today on Grounded, Ryan Dobson was joined by Jeff Myers of Summit Ministries. Wright succeeded David Noebel, who has recently claimed that Obama is trying to “sodomize the world” and that gay-rights is responsible for the Penn State child abuse scandal, to lead Summit.

While the two spent the beginning of their program talking about Right Wing Watch which reported that Dobson, whose father is Focus on the Family James Dobson, compared homosexuality to alcoholism, they quickly moved on to using the Penn State case to argue that while gays and lesbians are really victims of abuse, they refuse to condemn sexual abuse against children. Dobson and Myers insist that by reporting on anti-gay activists, Right Wing Watch is trying to quash any debate over homosexuality, and then went into push the myth that gays molest children in order to recruit them.

Myers said that “60 percent of the males who end up proclaiming a homosexual lifestyle were abused as children,” even though according to the American Psychiatric Association, “no specific psychosocial or family dynamic cause for homosexuality has been identified, including histories of childhood sexual abuse. Sexual abuse does not appear to be more prevalent in children who grow up to identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual, than in children who identify as heterosexual.” MaleSurvivor also called such a claim a “myth,” noting that “experts in the human sexuality field do not believe that premature sexual experiences play a significant role in late adolescent or adult sexual orientation.”

Wright also argued that gay-rights groups must go on record to condemn child abuse, as if their position on the subject is ambiguous and unknown, saying that “it is especially important for those groups to do it because they have aligned themselves so closely in the past with groups that do on purpose promote adult-child sex.”

Myers: This is something that Right Wing Watch has a real problem with, there are some issues they don’t want to have discussed, there are some topics they don’t want to have brought up, because to bring them up is to point out the fundamental hypocrisy and deceptions behind so many of these worldviews. The topic that shall not be named, if you were just to talk about any issue relating to homosexuality or anything of that nature, you are going to be in the hot spot because that’s not an issue that you’re supposed to be talking about, that’s not supposed to be discussed.

Dobson: Correct, I’m not allowed to talk about it.

Myers: We know about Jerry Sandusky and the whole child abuse scandal he’s involved in so I went to the website for GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, and they said on their website there is no link between pedophilia and homosexuality. I will agree—I don’t think—there is nothing about homosexuality that causes people to prey on children. There are homosexual predators and there are heterosexual predators who prey on children. But 60 percent of the males who end up proclaiming a homosexual lifestyle were abused as children.

Dobson: Oh! OK, OK.

Myers: There is a link, but it’s not what a lot of people expect. So here’s what we did, we sent out information to 600 different gay groups and said, ‘we encourage you to condmen the sexual abuse of children, you need to do this, everybody needs to be thinking about protecting children, that children should not be abused is an absolute truth, so we need for everybody who agrees with that to say so.’

Dobson: You’re not saying join us, and make a statement on your website saying ‘we’re going to join with Summit and Jeff Myers.’

Myers: No, they don’t have to kowtow to anybody. We just want them to say, ‘we oppose the abuse of children.’ And it’s especially important for those groups to do it because they have aligned themselves so closely in the past with groups that do on purpose promote adult-child sex.

Steve Baldwin Claims 'Human Events' Publisher is Gay, Says Romney 'Obsessed' with Gay Rights

Steve Baldwin, the former executive director of the Council for National Policy, an influential conservative policy group founded by Tim LaHaye, went on the Steve Deace show yesterday to discuss why he thinks a President Romney would be disastrous for the country and the Republican Party. Baldwin’s major gripe is his dubious claim that Romney was “obsessed” with gay rights as governor of Massachusetts.

Baldwin expressed frustration that Romney has been given a “free pass” by conservative media, which he chalked up to “conflicts of interest” in the right-wing press. Among those he claimed are biased towards Romney is the publisher of the far-right Human Events, whom he identified as a “homosexual who likes Romney.” Although he didn’t name names on the show, Baldwin has previously asserted that Jeff Carneal, president of Human Events' publisher, is an “avowed homosexual” who has supported pro-equality causes.

But Baldwin’s gay-baiting did not end with his attack on conservative media. He let loose on Romney’s tepid pro-gay rights record as governor of Massachusetts, saying, “His whole administration was characterized by an almost obsessive devotion to the homosexual agenda.” Romney, he fumes, was involved in “gay proclamations, gay dances, gay proms, gay assemblies, gay this, gay that,” adding obliquely, “You gotta start wondering here.”

Baldwin: Our conservative media won’t write negative stories about Romney. They won’t even investigate him. I’ve submitted story after story to National Review, to Human Events, to American Spectator, and every once in a while they’ll do a story with a few negative things about Romney, but a full-scale investigative piece about Romney has not appeared in most of the conservative movement’s media. And you’ll find out there’s conflicts of interests, you’ll find out National Review endorsed Romney last year, they like him this year. You’ll find out that the chairman of Regnery Gateway, that publishes Human Events, is a homosexual who likes Romney. You find out these editors have various biases. And as a result, they have collectively, along with talk radio I have to add – Sean Hannity likes Romney, a lot of our radio talk show hosts have been very hands off when it comes to Romney’s record, even though they have all been briefed and all been given information about Romney’s background. Coulter and other national columnists and Hannity and even Mark Levin say very little about Romney’s record and refuse to dig into it. So you hear nothing from our own media, so the mainstream media, they’re too lazy to dig up the stories. And so as a result, Romney’s getting a free pass here.

Deace: Does Mitt Romney have a history of supporting homosexual issues beyond the gay scoutmasters thing that we saw from 1994? What did he do in Massachusetts when he was governor?

Baldwin: Oh my goodness. Gay proclamations, gay dances, gay proms, gay assemblies, gay this, gay that. He had an entire commission called the Governor’s Commission, which served at his own discretion, and they funded gay events and programs in the schools. He promoted all kinds of laws, rules, internal, a lot of internal things, like his department of social services awarded Family of the Year, Parents of the Year, to a gay couple. He appointed homosexual leaders to key positions throughout his administration. I mean, his whole administration was characterized by a an almost obsessive devotion to the homosexual agenda. I would venture to say that Mitt Romney was the most aggressive pro-gay governor in American history, either party. Period. I mean Amy Contrada wrote a thousand page book documenting hundreds of actions by this man to advance the homosexual agenda. Hundreds. He was obsessed with it. You gotta start wondering here.

Lapin: Homosexuality and Islam Represent 'Barbarism'

During his speech at David Barton’s Pro-Family Legislators Conference, Daniel Lapin claimed that Islam and homosexuality are both cultures of “barbarism” that are diametrically opposed to civilization. Lapin, who has called for the quarantine of homosexuals to combat AIDS and claimed that men are becoming “hideous hermaphrodites” because of liberalism, tried to explain that while he doesn’t think gays or Muslims are themselves barbarians, he claims they participate in a “culture” of barbarism that “venerates death”:

Lapin: Civilization struggles to protect life, civilization struggles to feed life and generate life. Barbarism has no respect for life at all, actually, barbarism venerates death. Homosexuality, which side is that on? Civilization or barbarism? It’s got to be—see, please understand I’m speaking about the cultures and the ideas, I’m not saying that any particular Muslim is a barbarian, I’m not saying any particular homosexual is a barbarian, I’m saying the culture—and the answer is very simple, civilization has sex in the life-giving birth canal, and barbarism has sex in the canal through which dead, useless, waste material is excreted. It’s a fundamental difference, you can tell.

Family Research Institute: 'Where Gays Cluster, Boys Suffer'

Under Chairman Paul Cameron, the mission of the Family Research Institute is "to generate empirical research on issues that threaten the traditional family, particularly homosexuality, AIDS, sexual social policy, and drug abuse."

The "research" produced by FRI has been widely discredited by social scientists and earned the organization a designation as an anti-gay hate group from the Southern Poverty Law Center, but is nonetheless routninely cited by other anti-gay Religious Right organizations.

Yesterday, FRI released its latest "scholarly" investigation into how the education and entertainment industries are "disproportionately populated by homosexuals and are in the midst of boy-molesting scandals" ... which can all be traced back to the introduction of the birth control pill:

Universities have a preponderance of heterosexuals. But, the perhaps 8% or so of employees who practice homosexuality are responsible for the great bulk of the child molestations! Everyone knows that homosexuals go ‘where the boys are.’ Thus the Boy Scouts and Catholic Priest scandals. But the University and Hollywood scandals exhibit another rule — ‘where gays cluster, boys suffer.’

Everyone knows ‘the pill’ freed heterosexuals from social control — but it also (indirectly) freed those who practice homosexuality. Before the 1960’s, ‘everyone’ had to conform to a norm that guaranteed a future — each citizen was responsible to get married and produce children. This social milieu was self-reinforcing: ‘If I must be disciplined in my sex life, then everybody else should be as well!’ Thus the citizenry generally worked to suppress those with deviant sexual habits.

But that changed radically with the invention of ‘the pill.’ Shielded by the anonymity of modern life, the pill assured that those with heterosexual tastes could live their sex lives almost free from social discipline. Pregnancies would no longer reveal your liaisons, and no one knew whether you were childless by fate or choice. Good news for homosexuals, because if heterosexuals could ‘do whatever they wanted’ sexually, the notion of fairness inevitably pushed heterosexuals to agree with ‘why punish those with other harmless sexual tastes?’

Of course, ‘harmless’ is the operative word. Is homosexuality indeed harmless?

Evangelizing for homosexuality, the entertainment industry (joining the psychiatric professions) began to flood the media with the message that ‘homosexuality is different, yet harmless.’ Hollywood asserted that homosexual practitioners were just as stable, just as worthy of marriage, just as worthy of parenthood, etc. The combination of these two new realities — the pill and Hollywood promotion of homosexuality — is the key to understanding where we are today.

Washington Republican Says Marriage Equality Threatens 'Stable Society'

With Washington’s state legislature set to vote on a marriage equality bill introduced by Governor Christine Gregoire, Republican state senator Val Stevens is leading the fight against the legislation. Stevens, who in 2009 said that the state’s domestic partnership law represents an “assault on our families and American culture by the homosexuals” that would legitimize the “depraved lifestyle” of gays and lesbians, told the vehemently anti-gay American Family Association’s OneNewsNow today that the marriage equality bill “opens the floodgates” for the legalization of polygamy, incest and pedophilia. According to Stevens, the marriage equality legislation must be stopped “for the sake of maintaining our stable society”:

Governor Chris Gregoire (D) is personally introducing a bill that would legalize same-gender marriage in a state where domestic partnerships are already law. Senator Val Stevens (R) will be part of the legislative army opposing the move.

She contends, "To diminish the value of marriage between one man and one woman only opens the floodgates for who knows what might come down the road," such as polygamy, incestuous marriage, or an adult marrying a child.

Though there will be a fight in the legislature, Stevens says those fighting to defend traditional marriage really need pastors to step forward to educate their congregations and "get them out of the pews, calling their legislators to make certain that they will be actively opposing this movement to undermine the standard that is biblically based."

Stevens also does not understand why the governor wants lawmakers to spend their time with such a hot-button social and moral issue while the state is facing such a serious budget crunch.

In response to the governor's announcement, Stevens issued a statement that says, "Marriage between one man and one woman gives strength to society," and she points out that the state constitution "protects freedom of conscience and our religious heritage." So she pledges to oppose the legislation proposal "for the sake of maintaining our stable society."

LaBarbera Slams Navy First Kiss as 'Public Perversion' that 'Kids will be Forced to Study'

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality president Peter LaBarbera is still livid about the traditional first-off-the-ship kiss between Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta kiss her girlfriend, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell, which the couple won in a raffle. LaBarbera earlier dubbed the kiss “indecent” and today on his radio program lamented that Navy families “are going to be forced to be exposed to, essentially, public perversion.” The anti-gay activist went on to claim that “photo will probably end up in a history book that kids will be forced to study and there will be tests on it” as the culture promotes “illicit behavior” to children:

You know we talk about this propaganda that’s ubiquitous, it’s constant now, I think it actually plays to the disfavor of the, it plays against the homosexual side because people are sort of tired of all this propaganda. I don’t know if we mentioned it last week but you got this ‘first kiss’ coming out of the Navy ship in which two, a lesbian sailor was allowed to do the traditional first kiss with her female partner. People don’t think about this. When homosexuality is celebrated in a culture and when it is celebrated by the government because the ship’s captain, the head officer of the ship, he sanctioned this, and now every time because of homosexuality being openly celebrated in the military, and recognition often translates into celebration as we’re seeing right here, now every time when you’re going to have families, when there’s a reunion or a ship comes in, you’re going to have families who are going to be forced to be exposed to, essentially, public perversion. That’s what we’re talking about.

I made the point on our website that when President Obama put this photo, which is now famous, of these two women kissing, when he put it on his Tumblr site, he was putting an indecent photo—he was publicizing an indecent photo on his page. It’s still indecent, despite what the cultural radicals are saying. Now our kids will be taught that it’s OK for two women to kiss each other, it’s OK for two guys to kiss each other, this becomes a lesson. Now we’re seeing in California of course this will be mandated, this photo will probably end up in a history book that kids will be forced to study and there will be tests on it. It’s just obscene actually that this is now being promoted in such a way when it’s still illicit behavior.

Ryan Dobson Compares Homosexuality to Alcoholism

Ryan Dobson, the son of Focus on the Family founder James Dobson, likened homosexuality with alcoholism yesterday on his radio program Grounded. While speaking with Warren Cole Smith of WORLD Magazine about the case of a lesbian couple who sued a bed and breakfast whose owner denied a room to same-sex couples out of fear that they would “defile the land” under the state’s public accommodation law, he said that people who are born gay are just like unabashed drinkers who say they are born with alcoholism. The younger Dobson, who is divorced, also mocked the lesbian couple for objecting to anti-gay discrimination while reading a news story about the suit:

‘A lesbian couple sues Hawaiian bed and breakfast, two women from Southern California’—shocker—‘suing the owner’—shocker—‘of a Hawaiian inn for denying them a room in 2007. According to the lawsuit, the owner of the Aloha Bead and Breakfast in Honolulu asked the woman booking the room if she and the woman whom she was trying to book a room with were a couple, she said they were, the woman said she was uncomfortable renting rooms to same-sex and any other unmarried couples.’ So now they’re suing, here’s what they want, they want monetary damages, because apparently their feelings were hurt to the sum of a great deal of money.

Warren here’s what I wonder, in this way could you sue a bartender for refusing you alcohol if you go, ‘listen I’m an alcoholic I was born this way, I was born this way, I can’t do anything about it, you are discriminating against me because I want more alcohol and you’re not serving me.’ It’s normally up to a bartender’s discretion to say, ‘I’m sorry buddy you’ve had too much,’ and I go, ‘it’s not up to you I had too much it’s up to me because I’m born this way and I can’t help it.’

Jeffress: Gay Rights Will Lead to the 'Inevitable Implosion of our Country'

Today on Pathway to Victory, Robert Jeffress claimed that equal rights for gays and lesbians will lead to the end of America. Jeffress, the pastor of First Baptist Church of Dallas and a prominent endorser of Rick Perry, earlier claimed that gays and lesbians “engage in a high degree of promiscuity” and are incapable of monogamy, and also maintained that the media is using “brainwashing techniques” so homosexuality can be “crammed down our throats.” On Pathway, Jeffress said that gays and lesbians “engage in the most detestable, unclean, abominable acts you can imagine” as homosexuality is an “unnatural” and “filthy practice” that leads to disease:

Jeffress: Why is there such a high incidence of disease among homosexuals? Because ladies and gentlemen, what they are doing is more than holding hands and kissing, OK? They are engaged in the most detestable, unclean, abominable acts you can imagine. Because what they are doing is unnatural, it goes against nature, because of that filthy practice; there is a natural result to it. There is natural, physical consequences to homosexual behavior. That’s why God says don’t engage in it, you are going to harm your bodies in doing so.

Jeffress dedicated much of Pathway to bemoaning the Supreme Court’s decision in Lawrence v. Texas, which found state anti-sodomy laws to be unconstitutional, and said that supporters of LGBT equality are “fueled by sexual perversion” and “rebellion toward a holy God”:

Jeffress: The Lawrence decision of 2003 has paved the way to what both conservatives and liberals agree is the inevitable redefinition of marriage. Now folks don’t let anyone mislead you, this fervor to redefine the family is fueled by sexual perversion, and it is fueled by a sexual perversion that is in turn fueled by nothing but rebellion toward a holy God.

He claimed that Lawrence was the third case, along with Roe v. Wade, which barred states from criminalizing abortion, and Engel v. Vitale, which blocks officially organized prayer in public schools, that will lead to America’s destruction:

Jeffress: The third explosion that has weakened the social and spiritual infrastructure of our nation, making our collapse I believe inevitable, is the Supreme Court decision Lawrence v. Texas in 2003.

Sometimes God destroys a society immediately. But other times, as in our case, there is a series of seemingly unrelated explosive choices, followed by a delay, and then followed by the sudden and dramatic collapse, just as in an implosion. Ladies and gentlemen, I am convinced that we are living in that in between time right now. We are living in that in between time between these explosive, wrong choices our country has made and the inevitable implosion of our country.

Peter LaBarbera Rails Against Archie Comics for 'Promoting Homosexuality to Impressionable Children'

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality president lashed out at Archie Comics yesterday on Voice of Christian Youth America’s Crosstalk for featuring a same-sex wedding between a white soldier who is marrying his black doctor – a storyline he called a “manipulative” ploy to bolster “the radical homosexual agenda”:

LaBarbera: It’s really manipulative. Of course they are going to have a solider having a homosexual so-called marriage with a black, so it’s interracial, they want to work that in there, which is fine, interracial marriage is good but not between two men, and he was the physical therapist for this soldier so they’re really manipulating these kids. Here you are taking something that parents take for granted is wholesome, Archie Comics, and now even that is being turned into a promoter of the radical homosexual agenda.

While speaking with VCY America’s Jim Schneider, LaBarbera claimed that Archie Comics is helping “the left and the homosexual activist movement” by “promoting homosexuality to impressionable children,” and lamenting that people never see a “healthy, happy former homosexual in the movies or in the media”:

LaBarbera: Obviously the left and the homosexual activist movement is dead-set on promoting homosexuality to impressionable children. This is a comic book that is supposed to represent mid-American values and they are corrupting those values. Homosexuality is for one, often linked to very severe health problems, especially male homosexuality, it’s considered immoral, since time immoral, all of Judeo-Christian history. Yet now, in the name of diversity—and it’s interesting Jim that the left’s diversity framework never seems to include former homosexuals, will we ever see a healthy, happy former homosexual in the movies or in the media in the name of diversity? It is only what the left wants diversity to be is what we see promoted.

Later in the program, a caller named Jerome said that Archie Comics never stood for wholesome values because it also publishes the comic book Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Schneider agreed and added that the comic on same-sex marriage is “now taking it to another whole level of degradation,” while LaBarbera said that not only is Archie Comics promoting gay rights but so are Fox News commentators like Margaret Hoover:

Caller: Plus, you have a female character named Sabrina, a teenage witch. Now what’s wholesome about that?

Schneider: I totally agree with you Jerome on that, it is not wholesome but this is now taking it to another whole level of degradation, in my opinion, and that is to bring about homosexual marriage. No I do not condone the others, but this is another step down moral decay Peter, I believe.

LaBarbera: Think of it as a landmark of the homosexual issue, especially the homosexual so-called marriage issue. You have homosexual practice which is an abomination in God’s eyes, detestable behavior as God says in the Bible, being attached to the most noble institution—marriage—which is a picture of Christ and His church. It is just incredible to now see conservatives and libertarians, people like Margaret Hoover on Fox News, Jim I don’t know if you’ve seen, she’s become a big so-called gay marriage advocate on Fox News and we see Fox trending pro-gay. It just seems that the voices that stand for wholesome behavior are more and more muted and I think probably the rise of libertarianism in the Republican Party is only going to make that worse and we have to find ways to get the truth out.

LaBarbera: Israel has 'Repudiated' the 'God of Israel' over Gay Rights

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality president Peter LaBarbera today condemned Israel over the government’s plan to recruit unofficial gay and lesbian volunteers to publicize the country’s LGBT-friendly policies and improve the country’s image abroad. In an interview with the American Family Association’s OneNewsNow, LaBarbera said that Israel is now in defiance of God:

But Peter LaBarbera, founder and president of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality (AFTAH), sees nothing intolerant about opposing a deviant lifestyle.

"This is a very sad development because Judaism is responsible for our moral condemnation of homosexual and all deviant behaviors," he notes. "And so for Israel now to be proclaiming itself friendly to homosexuality is a repudiation of Israel's own heritage and the God of Israel."

He decides it comes down to a question of promoting sin.

"The moral truth never changes -- but unfortunately, we live in decadent times in which governments are using homosexuality to get money, basically," LaBarbera laments.

The AFTAH president says it is unfortunate that corporations and countries are going out of their way to appeal to homosexual customers.

Israel, in fact, already permits adoption by same-sex couples, allows gays to serve openly in the military, protects sexual orientation in anti-discrimination laws and recognizes same-sex marriages conducted abroad.

LaBarbera’s sharp attack on Israel comes despite the fact that AFTAH Board President Matt Barber’s organization Liberty Counsel said that any criticism of Israel “curses America” and Barber himself likened disagreement with the Israeli government to anti-Semitism.

Cindy Jacobs Prophesies Obama 'Cover-up,' Prays for Religious Right Leaders

During Tuesday’s prayer event hosted by the Family Research Council and Generals International, Cindy Jacobs read and endorsed a prophecy by Sam Brassfield, the very same “prophet” who worked with Jacobs in prophesying that Interstate-35 is a “Highway of Holiness” that will bring Christian revival, declines in drug and alcohol abuse and gays leaving homosexuality. According to the prophecy, God will use “blizzard conditions” to “freeze the plans of the enemies” by erasing the Obama administration’s global LGBT rights initiative and that “a great cover-up is about to be exposed concerning Obama and the White House”:

Jacobs later prayed against the supposed media “blackout” of anti-gay activists and the separation of church and state. She also asked to strengthen and amplify the voices of Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, Bishop Harry Jackson, Maryland Marriage Alliance spokesman Derek McCoy, and right-wing pseudo historian David Barton, then called upon the Lion of Judah to “shake your mane over Washington and roar!’

Watch:

We decree a free press. We decree that their righteousness will come into the media realm. We decree in the name of Jesus that the separation of church and state and the blackouts, allowing righteous people to say what we really believe, Father we pull that down and we decree now that we will have our First Amendment right as Christians will be maintained but we can speak in the media on biblical defense of marriage, Lord strengthen Bishop Harry, Lord strengthen Tony Perkins, Lord strengthen David Barton, strengthen Derek McCoy and these others that are speaking up. We decree, you will give them a loud voice. And finally, Lord, you showed me that you, the Lion of Judah were about to stand up and shake your mane over Washington and roar! So Lion of Judah, shake your mane and roar! Roar! Roar! Roar! Roar!

Michael Brown Condemns Navy First Kiss, Calls Military a 'Massive Pro-Gay Propaganda Machine'

Anti-gay author Michael Brown spoke today at the Family Research Council event, “Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace.” His speech included the standard right-wing attacks against equal rights for the LGBT community as well as many plugs for his book, A Queer Thing Happened to America. Most of the speech focused on bemoaning the political gains made by gay rights advocates and growing societal acceptance for gay lesbian and transgender people. Brown even warned that the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell made the military into a “massive pro-gay propaganda machine” and joined other conservatives in decrying the kiss between Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta and her girlfriend Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell:

After a laudatory introduction by FRC senior fellow Peter Sprigg, Brown even gave a shout out to Right Wing Watch!
