Religious Right Group Warns 'Nebuchadnezzar' Obama Is Persecuting Christians With LGBT Rights Push

The American Decency Association is still reeling from President Obama’s executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT employees, warning that under his administration “homosexuality trumps religious liberty.”

“There is no good news in our government affirming a lifestyle that leads to destruction,” writes Lisa Van Houten of the ADA in a recent post on the organization’s website. “As greater discrimination and even persecution comes, may you and I not bow to Nebuchadnezzar, but stand for what is faithful and true.”

On July 20 President Obama used his pen (not his phone) to once again usurp the role of Congress, mandating an executive order banning federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

As the law by authoritarian decree was signed to the cheers from homosexual activists gathered in the room, someone shouted: “Amen!” to which President Obama responded. “Amen! Amen! We have the amen corner here! Don’t get me started preaching.”

What our president “preaches” certainly isn’t gospel truth. There is no good news in our government affirming a lifestyle that leads to destruction. (Romans 1)

In essence this edict from President Obama mandates that all federal contractors and subcontractors -- regardless of their religious and moral convictions -- give special treatment to homosexuals, transgenders, and cross-dressers in the workplace. Such legislation - referred to as ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) - has long been coveted by LGBT activists.

This puts sexual behaviors on the same level of immutable characteristics as race and ethnicity. It also elevates LGBT affiliation over and above the first amendment freedom of religion and the free exercise of those religious beliefs.

Just weeks earlier the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the religious freedom of the Green family, the owners of Hobby Lobby, to not provide abortifacients to their employees (required under ObamaCare) due to their Christian convictions.

Now with a stroke of his pen, President Obama mandated that an employer doing any type of work with the federal government must leave his religious beliefs at the door. Homosexuality trumps religious liberty.

What will be the impact as our religious liberty is further stripped away? And even more importantly, what will be our response? As greater discrimination and even persecution comes, may you and I not bow to Nebuchadnezzar, but stand for what is faithful and true. Do I hear an Amen?

Sandy Rios Warns Trans FBI Agents Will Come After You Following Obama's ENDA Executive Order

Sandy Rios was horrified by President Obama’s decision to sign an executive worker ensuring that federal contractors don’t discriminate against LGBT employees, and had a stark message for her listeners on her Tuesday radio program: “That means of course that maybe in six weeks or so maybe your doorbell will ring and you will have the privilege of being interviewed by an FBI agent male wearing a dress, because that’s really what this does mean, this is stunning.”

Rios, the American Family Association’s government affairs director, alleged that Obama is a “rock star” for the LGBT community and a phony Christian, claiming that she simply does not believe “the notion that Barack Obama is a Christ follower.”

“I can say I’m a ballerina, it doesn’t make it so,” she said. “A Christian, a Christ follower does not legislate ad nauseam rights and benefits and privileges for people who are in a lifestyle that is at odds with biblical truth, just doesn’t do it. There’s the president of the United States, all about homosexuality.”

Richard Land Links Gay Rights To Nazi Germany

After lecturing liberals on why they are wrong to fault the United States for slavery, former Southern Baptist Convention official Richard Land drew a connection between the rise of gay rights and Nazi Germany.

While guest-hosting yesterday’s edition of “Washington Watch,” Land spoke with Fox News correspondent Todd Starnes about President Obama’s recent executive order to protect employees of federal government contractors from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

He told Starnes that conservatives need to stand up to “the gay thought police” or face Nazi-style persecution, mentioning Martin Niemöller’s anti-Nazi poem “First they came….”

Earlier in the show, Starnes said that Obama was “mocking and condescending” towards religion by saying “amen” while signing the executive order, because apparently opposing discrimination is incompatible with religious values.

“It was really a mocking, in-your-face sort of a move,” Starnes said.

Land, for his part, warned of “liberal McCarthyism” since now “the question is, ‘Are you now, or have you ever been opposed to homosexual and lesbian or gay, bisexual, transgender behavior?’”

But things were just getting started on “Washington Watch,” as Land later spoke with a caller who said she couldn’t understand “how seemingly intelligent people could have voted a president in by the name of Barack Obama so soon after 9/11, it doesn’t make sense to me.”

Rather than address her comments, Land went on a tangent about how Obama has an anti-American worldview and is to blame for everything from the drug war to Boko Haram’s kidnapping of girls in Nigeria.

Klingenschmitt: ENDA Executive Order Is Anti-Christian Tyranny

Last week, it was announced that President Obama would be signing a executive order banning discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees by federal contractors and Gordon Klingenschmitt is predictably outraged, declaring on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program that these sorts of anti-discrimination bans are nothing more than tyrannical anti-Christian persecution.

"I think this is outright tyranny," he said. "And it's a demonic spirit of persecution, it's anti-Christian persecution ... We should have a First Amendment right to opt out and yet we're being denied access to twenty eight million jobs now being given favoritism to people because of the way they have perverted sex and they're being denied to Christians because they happen to believe the Bible":

FRC Claims Majority Oppose LGBT Workplace Protections, Cites A Poll That Says The Opposite

The Family Research Council is once again responding to polls showing widespread support for gay rights by making up their own anti-gay fuzzy math.

In his daily email update on Friday, FRC President Tony Perkins wrote that the Republican House leaders who oppose the Employment Non-Discrimination Act are “more in line with the majority of Americans” than is President Obama, who supports the act.

Perkins cited a Huffington Post poll, which he says found that “only 50% of Americans support an ENDA-type” law, which he claims “gives preference to homosexuals and transgenders in the workplace.”

No wonder the President had to resort to an executive order on special treatment for homosexuals. Turns out, the American people aren’t nearly supportive of his agenda as the media led us to believe. In a Huffington Post poll, only 50% of Americans support an ENDA-type (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) law, which gives preference to homosexuals and transgenders in the workplace. Congress had been reluctant to act on ENDA, and now we see that leaders are more in line with the majority of Americans than the President, which jumped ahead of the legislative branch to impose those rules on federal contractors. So much for the groundswell of support for measures that crush the constitutional freedoms of both employers and employees. Most people apparently think the current anti-discrimination statutes are strong enough.

Perkins conveniently leaves out the fact that the Huffington Post poll found that only 38 percent of respondents opposed ENDA, as opposed to 50 percent who supported it. The poll also found that that a vast majority of Americans support the principle of the the law and think that such protections are already in place:

In the new survey, 50 percent of Americans favored and 38 percent opposed legislation banning job discrimination against gays and lesbians. The poll found political division on the issue: 63 percent of Democrats and 52 percent of independents favored that kind of legislation, but only 34 percent of Republicans did.

But on at least one major protection the legislation would provide, all three groups were united. Seventy-six percent of Americans, including 88 percent of Democrats, 74 percent of independents and 68 percent of Republicans, said that it should be illegal to fire someone for being gay or lesbian. Only 12 percent of Americans said it should be legal.

The fact that far more Americans agree with the principle than with the legislation may be attributable to a common misconception: Sixty-two percent of Americans think it's already illegal to fire someone for being gay, while only 14 percent of poll respondents said that it's legal. In fact, it is still legal in 29 states to fire someone for being gay.

Majorities of Democrats, Republicans and independents all think it's already illegal to fire someone for their sexual orientation.

Perkins and Gary Bauer recently claimed that a poll showing opposition to marriage equality among Republicans in fact showed that “most Americans” opposed marriage equality. Perkins made a similar claim about a poll that only surveyed voters in a handful of battleground states and districts.

Family Research Council Warns Anti-Bias Executive Order Threatens 'Religious And Constitutional Liberties'

President Obama has reportedly decided to sign an executive order to bar federal government contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. The news did not sit well with Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council.

In a statement on behalf of the FRC today, Sprigg warns that the executive order will undermine “religious and constitutional liberties” and lead to a flood of lawsuits.

This political gesture reflects the president's repeated disregard for the legislative process. Congress has not passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) or similar provisions, despite activists' pressure to do so, because of the detrimental impact on employers' and employees' constitutional freedoms of religion, speech, and association. Historically, these kinds of provisions have not been applied to conduct-based distinctions that are not found in the Constitution.

Today's announced executive order will give activists a license to challenge their employers whenever they feel aggrieved, exposing those employers to threats of costly legal proceedings and the potential of jeopardizing future contracts. Furthermore, by requiring federal contractors to consider characteristics and behaviors related to a person's sexual orientation or gender identity, this policy will make contractors liable for protecting actual or perceived self-disclosed and fluid identities that may not even be known.

The timing of this announcement is clearly designed to curry favor with activist organizations. While the president prepares to address a New York gathering of gay rights supporters, the American people will be left to sort out the costs to religious and constitutional liberties resulting from this executive order.

Tony Perkins Claims ENDA Will Turn America Into Nazi Germany, Do Away With First Amendment

With right-wing opposition to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) becoming increasingly unhinged, it was no surprise that Family Research Council president Tony Perkins warned members in an email today that ENDA would destroy businesses, entire communities, and the First Amendment.

Perkins writes that ENDA, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity to current non-discrimination protections such as race, religion, gender and disability, would “banish” Christians from society and have them “stripped of their livelihood” while turning America into Nazi Germany.

They're pushing ENDA again -- the Employment Non-Discrimination Act -- which would strip Americans of their religious liberties. No longer will an employer be able to make employment decisions based on what qualities or characteristics are most relevant to a particular job. Instead, ENDA will grant special rights and privileges, special power over an employer's religious convictions, to an entire group of people -- simply because of their preference for a certain type of sexual activity.

This is the most perverse distortion of the Constitution of the United States imaginable. And is more likely to impact you personally than ever before. Because ENDA is the federal government forcing a pro-homosexual point of view upon the entire (supposedly "free") marketplace.

You enjoy working in a Christian-owned business, for example. It's a great place to work, a good family-friendly environment. If your company does any work with the federal government, or if you're a subcontractor to a business holding a federal contract, you could suddenly find that your company's policies, if they reflect biblical views and values, are considered a violation -- and the company could lose that contract. Company revenues plummet. People get laid off. Maybe the company has to close its doors altogether and you are out of work.

As businesses are boarded up, whole communities will be affected. But the powerful anti-Christian lobby will dust off their hands: mission accomplished.

ENDA takes the chilling concept of "Big Brother" one diabolical step further . . . to "Big Bully." The federal government becomes the "enforcer" for liberal activists, driving anyone with a traditional view of natural marriage into the shadows ... because of the threat of a federal lawsuit.

You no longer enjoy freedom of speech, freedom of religion, or freedom of association. The First Amendment is dead to you -- because of your biblical views on the sin of homosexuality.

If the federal government can coerce you to comply with its views . . . cooperate with its policies . . . contribute to its plans for the transformation of America . . .

. . . well, sadly, this looks more and more like totalitarianism. We only have to look back to 1930 in Germany, or the USSR in the 1950s, to see what happens when leaders impose a totalitarian state on the people.

They are pushing for America to conform to their ideology. Freedom of speech and religion have no place in their vision. We can't let it happen.

. . . then anyone in America can be targeted ... called out ... pilloried in the public square . . . stripped of their livelihood ... branded as a "bigot" and banished from "society."

Infographic: Six Months After The Senate Passed ENDA, House GOP Leadership Must Stop Obstructing

Six months ago today, the Senate passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), legislation that would make it illegal to fire, refuse to hire, or refuse to promote someone because of who they are or who they love. Despite the fact that the majority of states’ laws leave lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workers unprotected – and the fact that most Americans believe that this workplace discrimination is wrong – House GOP leadership continues to stand in the way of progress.

Why are they ignoring the will of the people and blocking LGBT Americans from fundamental rights? You can help put the pressure on Congress to pass ENDA by sharing our brand new infographic:

Gordon Klingenschmitt Says Supporting ENDA Is 'Blasphemy' And 'Full Perversion'

Gordon Klingenschmitt, the right-wing pastor and exorcist turned Colorado GOP politician, has denounced a Republican congressman from his state who recently endorsed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

In an email on Sunday to members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project, Klingenschmitt accused Rep. Mike Coffman of embracing “full perversion” and committing “blasphemy” after the congressman said ENDA is a “workplace equivalent of the Golden Rule — do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.”

Klingenschmitt added that ENDA will “expose” women and girls “to naked men” and demanded that House members “filibuster this bad ENDA bill,” even though the filibuster does not exist in the House.

He quotes Jesus. Did you catch that? Coffman quotes Jesus' golden rule, love your neighbor, as a reason to punish and persecute Christian employers and force them to share women's bathrooms with cross-dressing men. He thinks Jesus would command us to do that. Are you kidding me? That's blasphemy.

Obama has now gone to full perversion as a matter of policy. When violating the privacy rights of all women and little girls, exposing them to naked men with mental disorders who pretend and deceive themselves, he now requires we believe their deception with them.

For-profit business owners have NO religious exemptions, which will force Christians to choose: either quit your business or hire gays who may directly oppose the mission of your corporation. Owners of Bible publishers, Christian bookstores, Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby will no longer be permitted to operate a business that honors God and fulfills their owner's mission to promote godliness in the marketplace.

Let's petition all 435 Congressmen to OPPOSE and FILIBUSTER this bad ENDA bill.

Glenn Grothman Fears ENDA 'Gives Preferences,' Denies Climate Change Exists

Wisconsin GOP state senator Glenn Grothman promised in an interview with Voice of Christian Youth America last week that he will be “an outspoken opponent” of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) if he wins his race for Congress.

Grothman warned that ENDA “gives preferences” and an unfair advantage to LGBT employees: “It’s not only you can’t discriminate, it’s a preference because all of the sudden employers have to worry, ‘if I don’t hire this guy, if I don’t promote this guy, I’m going to be sued for discrimination.’”

Grothman also suggested that affirmative action is depressing job growth because “you always got to worry about being sued for who you hire, who you didn’t fire, who you promoted, who you let go.”

He added that environmental regulations are hurting the economy and mocked efforts “to reign in global warming, which doesn’t exist anyway.”

“This environmental stuff, this is the idea that is driven by this global warming thing. Global warming is not man-made and there is barely any global warming at all, there’s been no global warming for the last twelve or thirteen years. I see a shortage of Republicans stepping up to the plate and saying, ‘look, this global warming stuff is not going on,’” he said.

In the same interview, Grothman attacked Secretary of State John Kerry for supposedly upsetting God when he denounced Uganda’s anti-gay laws.

Klingenschmitt: ENDA Will Force Women To Share Bathrooms With Men Who 'May Not Be Sitting Down When He Goes Pee'

Two weeks ago, the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from a New Mexico photography studio that had refused to photograph a same-sex commitment ceremony but, for some reason, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt was still praying that the Court would agree to hear the case on the Friday broadcast of his "Pray In Jesus Name" program.

During his discussion of the case, Klingenschmitt complained that non-discrimination laws actually result in discrimination against Christians and that somehow resulted in him railing about ENDA yet again as he warned that the law, if passed, would force women to have to share the bathroom with "cross-dressing men ... who may or may not be sitting down when he goes pee":

Barber: ENDA Will Outlaw Christianity And Legalize Sexual Harassment

Liberty Counsel's Matt Barber was the guest on Rick Wiles' End Times radio program yesterday where the two discussed the dangers of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which Barber warned would criminalize Christianity while it simultaneously legalizes sexual harassment:

ENDA, the euphemistically titled the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and it's a euphemism because it does exactly what it purports to prevent and that is that it codifies into law workplace discrimination. ENDA is effectively the criminalization of the Judeo-Christian sexual ethic.

...

Imagine a federal bill that opens up women's restrooms to men who can, willy-nilly, depending on the day, if they feel like it that day, their gender expression and identity is as a woman and that means that they have free reign over the women's bathrooms; that, on it's very face, is sexual harassment.

Sexual harassment is a subjective analysis. If a woman feels put in a position of apprehension for her safety and if she feels like that she is being sexually harassed ... it is sexual harassment for a women in an area where she has a right to privacy and where men should stay out; just because somebody calls themselves a female, objectively he is a male! He will always be a male, just because you go through some kind of sex change mutilation surgery and cosmetic surgery and change your outward appearance. But this law would say even whether you go through that surgery or not, men have free reign on the women's restrooms in every place of employment across the country and don't think that these cross-dressing men won't take advantage of that.

Swanson: ENDA Will Lead To Child Abuse

Pastor Kevin Swanson mourned the passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) in the US Senate by suggesting that it will lead to child abuse if the bill ever becomes law. He said parents will have to send kids to “sodomite schools [with] the Greek form of education where you know what happens in homosexual indoctrination.”

Later, co-host and pastor Dave Buehner added that America is now just “one small step towards putting the convicted pedophiles in charge of the daycare.”

Swanson: Friends, we’re getting to the point here where it may be a few family businesses and homeschools that would be able to keep homosexuals and homosexual indoctrination away from their children. Who knows? It may become extremely difficult to get your children out of sodomite schools or the Greek form of education where you know what happens in homosexual indoctrination. It may become more difficult for people to keep their kids away from this unless they’re able to homeschool their children and keep them out of schools where homosexual indoctrination and homosexual forms of laboratories are mandated in private and public schools in America.

Buehner: What’s shocking about this is this is just one small step away from, it’s a giant step towards and one small step towards putting the convicted pedophiles in charge of the daycare. That’s where we’re at.

Swanson: That’s the goal; that’s the goal.

Staver: ENDA Will Incite A Revolution, Turn Restrooms Into 'Free-For-Alls'

Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver has been busy waging a fight against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), appearing yesterday on a Tea Party Unity conference call as well as on VCY America’s radio show Crosstalk. He warned that President Obama and gay rights advocates are targeting “common values and religious principles” with bills like ENDA.

“I think that if that continues to move forward in that respect we’re moving down the road toward a revolution; you’re either moving to persecution or you’re moving to revolution or you’re moving to both,” Staver said on the TPU call. “Unless there is a reversal of this huge government intrusion into our basic shared liberties, we’re moving toward revolution or we’re moving to persecution or both.”

He previously predicted that the Supreme Court’s decisions on the marriage cases would spark a revolution or civil war.

Staver, who previously warned that ENDA will lead to death and sexual assault, told Crosstalk host Vic Eliason that ENDA is a “very dangerous bill” that will “literally turn all women’s restrooms into free-for-alls for some man or some voyeur or some person who wants to do mischief or harm.”

Seventeen states already have employment protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity (PDF), and yet Staver never seems to find actual cases of “free-for-alls” taking place in women’s restrooms.

Rios: Report On Gay Waiter Who Received Anti-Gay Message A 'Ruse' To Help ENDA

American Family Association radio host claims that the Overland Park, Kansas, waiter who in lieu of a tip received an anti-gay message from a customer staged the incident to help the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) pass the Senate. Rios offered absolutely no evidence to back up her claim, besides her gut feeling that the story was a “ruse” to aid ENDA, even though the waiter didn’t face discrimination from his employer.

“I smell a rat in this story,” Rios said, later adding: “I don’t believe a Christian couple wrote this note, I think it was a ruse because it was the week ENDA was being voted on.”

Austin Ruse Wonders Why Gay Rights Movement Isn't 'Embarrassed' By Transgender People

Austin Ruse, president of the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute (C-FAM) responded to the Senate’s passage of the Employment Nondiscrimination Act with a column in Crisis magazine today declaring that ENDA will lead to “quotas for transsexuals” and force businesses to hire unqualified transgender workers: “They don’t even have to know how to type as long as they have lopped off their penises or at least wear dresses.”

All of which got Ruse to wondering why the “totalitarian” gay rights movement isn’t “embarrassed by the T in LGBT,” or what he calls “displays of obvious psychological disturbances.”

Race hustlers everywhere know exactly where this is headed, toward self-imposed quotas by businesses large and small. The only way a business can inoculate itself against charges of discriminatory hiring practices is to hire the aggrieved class no matter what. If pushed by the Justice Department, Hobby Lobby’s only line of defense would be to trot out the transsexuals. They don’t even have to know how to type as long as they have lopped off their penises or at least wear dresses.

One of the truly strange things about the gay-rights movement is how free they are with their strangest cousins. You would think that even gay men and lesbians might be rather embarrassed by the T in LGBT. But so bold are they, so fearless, that they now lead with the T. Most Americans are rightly put off by such displays of obvious psychological disturbances.

The bill that just passed the US Senate was met with no genuine objection even by conservative Senators, so cowed are they by the new totalitarians of the sexual left. The bill now moves to the House of Representatives where there are more spines, one hopes.

Also today, Ruse gave an interview to the Catholic website Aleteia about a year-old report on rising STI rates in the U.S., from which Ruse concluded that “the sexual revolution has been tried and shown to be an utter failure” and that those who don’t agree with him “are as willfully blind as the most hard-line Stalinists ever were.”

“The evidence is overwhelming,” says Austin Ruse, president of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-FAM). “The sexual revolution has been tried and shown to be an utter failure. The body count and the diseases continue to rise. Marriages and families are destroyed.”

“The only ones who do not see this are the ideologists who refuse to see the empirical evidence. They are as willfully blind as the most hard-line Stalinists ever were. And they keep asking for more and more of the same.”
