Rep. Louie Gohmert was the guest on today's "WallBuilders Live" radio broadcast, where he warned that if the Senate does not stop President Obama's deal with Iran, it will be the end for America.
If leaders in the Senate "continue to be wimps" and refuse to stop the Iran deal, he warned, then "that will be written up as the downfall of Israel and the United States."
"I think Israel is going to come through, by the grace of God," Gohmert said, "but if we are this stupid in helping our enemy come after us, then we would be, in the eyes of history, deserving of what we get":
Later, David Barton chimed in to declare that support for the nation of Israel is the most important issue of the 2016 election because nothing else will matter if God stops blessing America.
"If you believe in the Bible, if you think the Bible is true, then you have to take is seriously when God says, 'Whoever blesses Israel, I'll bless, whoever curses Israel, I'll curse,'" he said. "If God actually means what He says and, of course, He says He does, then that's got to be a number-one issue in the next election because I don't care how good you are on the economy, I don't care how good you are on education, I don't care how good you are on defense, if you're bad on Israel, we're not going to be a blessed nation":
On yesterday's "Faith and Freedom" radio program, Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver and Matt Barber accused President Obama of engaging in a "sinister" and "treasonous" plot to destroy Israel and America by trying to reach a nuclear deal with Iran.
After hailing the recent victory by Benjamin Netanyahu and his Likud party in Israel's election, Staver declared that Israeli citizens who support "land for peace" are simply "stupid," whereas Obama is "sinister" for opposing Netnayahu and dealing with Iran.
"I think he has, ultimately, an objective," Staver said. "He doesn't like America. He doesn't like Israel. He doesn't stand with our allies in the Middle East. He has sympathies that ultimately undermine the Judeo-Christian values that we support and that connect us with the land of Israel."
Barber was in complete agreement, declaring that Obama is "dealing with Iran right now to enable them and help them obtain the means to destroy Israel."
"That's not a matter of opinion, that's a matter of fact," Barber said. "It's treasonous! ... It exposes the fact that this president hates Israel [and] I believe, as you just stated, that he hates America as well":
Yesterday's "Hagee Hotline" featured an excerpt from John Hagee's sermon this past Sunday, during which he declared that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to Congress last week was really a message from God that He will destroy America if this nation does not stand with Israel.
"If we do not stand up for Israel," Hagee warned, "if we do not embrace Israel in her hour of tragedy, God will bring judgment to us. ... God's message to America this past Tuesday in Congress was loud and clear: Stand with Israel because the day you reject Israel is the day that I will reject you."
"Hello, Washington. Hello, John Kerry," he continued. "We are not negotiating Israel's future in Iran. We are negotiating ours":
For the last several weeks, Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver has been warning that President Obama is bringing a curse upon America by supposedly being insufficiently supportive of the state of Israel. With Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set to deliver a speech to Congress tomorrow despite White House objections, Staver has stepped up his efforts, penning a piece today in which he accuses Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry of seeking the "destruction of the Jewish state" and warns that America is becoming an enemy of God:
Barack Obama obviously does not understand the potential fallout from his administration’s dangerous actions. The Bible says that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – Israel’s omnipotent defender – takes very seriously all attempts to harm His people, the Jews. In the book of Joel, we read that God will ultimately judge the nations that try to divide the land of Israel – something the Obama White House has consistently proposed. And Zechariah 12:9 plainly says, “I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”
Recently, Jewish rabbis, representing the Committee to Save the Land and People of Israel, rightly called the Obama administration’s actions “a declaration of war against the Creator and Ruler of the universe.” But, as the rabbis point out, it’s not Israel that will ultimately pay the price; it’s the enemies of God.
Liberty Counsel holds that America has been blessed by God because our national policy has been favorable toward the nation of Israel since its founding in 1948. If we allow the Obama administration to subvert this policy, a price will be paid!
I don’t want this nation, which was founded as one nation under God, to become the enemy of God’s people.
The Scriptures tell us to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem." There has never been a time when we needed to do this more! The Holy City is under threat from hostile neighbors next door and others like Iran, with its potential for nuclear missiles, just a thousand miles away. At a time when our President and Secretary of State should be doing all they can to support Israel, Barack Obama and John Kerry are aiding Israel’s and America’s enemies instead!
For good measure, Matt Barber warned on a recent episode of Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio show that Obama's failure to support Israel means that he is "an enemy within" and "the greatest threat to American national security that we face":
For the third week in a row, Mat Staver and Matt Barber continued to use Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio program to falsely accuse President Obama of directly and illegally interfering in the upcoming Israeli elections in an effort to defeat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with Staver declaring today that Obama is bringing God's curse upon America by doing so.
"Our Judeo-Christian history connects us together, connects us to Israel and the Jewish people," Staver said. "That's where our Judeo-Christian history was born and birthed. That's how Western Civilization was shaped, because of the Bible and the values that came out of Israel. And this president is doing everything he can to walk away from Israel."
"You know, Genesis 12 says 'I will bless those who bless you,' referring to the offspring of Abraham, which is Israel, 'and I will curse them who curse you,'" he continued. "The president is bringing curses upon America by ultimately walking away from Israel. I think that it is dangerous to not respect and protect our best ally":
David Barton was a guest this morning on the American Family Association's "Today's Issues" radio program where he explained to the right-wing audience that in order to understand President Obama's foreign policy, one simply has to ask the question: What does the Muslim Brotherhood want?
As Barton explained it, 95 percent of Obama's foreign policy decisions regarding the Middle East can be summed up by the phrase, "If the Muslim Brotherhood would be for it, [Obama] is for it; if they're against it he's against it."
As "proof" of this, Barton went on to claim that on seven separate occasions, Obama "has publicly leaked to the media secret intelligence from Israel about what they were doing to stop terrorism," especially regarding Iran.
"On seven occasions, he has leaked secret intelligence about what Israel is about to do in Iran or elsewhere and released that to the Muslim world," he claimed. "I scratch my head and say, 'How can you do that to your closest ally, release their top secret intelligence on what they're about to do?' And the answer is: Muslim Brotherhood would do it and so he does."
As usual, Barton did not actually provide any evidence to support this claim other than his own "research," so it is impossible to know what he is even referencing or how he would explain the millions of dollars in U.S. aid to the al-Sisi government in Egypt, which has vowed to destroy the Muslim Brotherhood.
UPDATE: On the February 23 edition of his "WallBuilders Live" radio program, Barton finally provided some "evidence" to back up his claims, though he only managed to cite four specific instances, most of which do not prove his point at all:
The first instance Barton cited was a report from 2010 that revealed that Saudi Arabia had agreed to allow Israeli bombers to pass over the country in the event that Israel was going to carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. According to the article, a "U.S. defense source in the Persian Gulf" revealed that the plan "has all been done with the agreement of the State Department." Why the Obama administration would seek to undermine Israel by leaking details on an agreement that it had reportedly approved is not something that Barton ever explained.
The second instance Barton cited was a 2012 instance in which the Obama administration supposedly leaked to the New York Times information "on war exercises that Israel was doing, practicing a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities." Of course, if you read the article in question, it focused on a simulation run by the U.S. military on the ramifications of an Israeli strike on Iran, which concluded that such an attack would draw the U.S. into a large regional conflict.
The article did not, as Barton claimed, reveal Israeli war plans, but rather the results of a U.S. simulation of what could happen in the wake of an Israeli attack.
The third instance that Barton cited — a 2012 ABC News piece that reported that analysts in Israel were "accusing the Obama administration leaking information to pressure Israel not to bomb Iran and for Iran to reach a compromise in upcoming nuclear talks" — is the only one that says what Barton claims it says.
The final example that Barton cited was an April 2012 article in the New Yorker which he claimed contained leaked information from the U.S. that revealed that "the Israeli intelligence agency was helping fund and train the Iranian opposition ... the more moderates to help take out that administration."
The article in question was a Seymour Hersh piece reporting that the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command had been training "members of the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, a dissident Iranian opposition group known in the West as the M.E.K," despite the fact that the M.E.K is designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department. Among the material contained in the Hersh article was information from an earlier NBC report that that several Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated since 2007, presumably by members of the M.E.K who were trained and financed by the Israeli Mossad.
As far as we can tell, outside of possibly the 2012 ABC News piece, not one of these articles cited by Barton actually contains evidence that the Obama administration has "publicly leaked to the media secret intelligence from Israel" as he originally claimed.
A few months ago, televangelist John Hagee came under fire for calling President Obama "one of the most anti-Semitic presidents in the history of the United States of America" and eventually had to walk back that statement, claiming that he misspoke and merely meant to call Obama "one of the most anti-Israel presidents in U.S. history."
On yesterday's "Hagee Hotline," however, Hagee once again called Obama "anti-Semitic" as he slammed him for not attending the unity march in Paris, saying that in skipping the rally, Obama was telling Jews all over the world that he doesn't care about their safety and security and was sticking his finger "in the eye of God."
"Not going to Paris sends a very clear message to the American Jewish community," Hagee said. "And that message is: we simply don't care. The clear message to Israel: you are alone; if you really get in a jam, don't look toward America for help. The president simply does not care."
"When you attack the Jewish people, you are picking a fight with God Almighty," he continued. "When you pick a fight with the Jewish people, you are sticking your finger in the eye of God. Wake up, America! Let's get involved in this global fight against anti-Semitism. God Almighty is watching and it means a great deal to our national security because if we walk away from Israel, God will walk away from us."
Hagee went on to urge activists to contact Republicans in Congress and press them to pass a resolution declaring that any attack against Israel will be considered an attack against America in order to make Obama veto it, thereby exposing him "as the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel person that he is":
On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Mat Staver made the incoherent case that the United States must stand firm in its support of Israel because states that do not do so eventually go out of existence while the nation of Israel continues to exist.
Staver asserted that, throughout history, every nation that has opposed Israel has fallen, starting with Egypt and continuing up through Nazi Germany, warning that America will face the same fate if this nation does not stand by Israel.
"Egypt, the most powerful nation on the planet, that regime of the Pharaohs is gone," Staver asserted. "Now the land of Egypt is still there but the government that was in existence is gone. Israel still exists as an identifiable nation, the language is still there. Babylon, that most powerful nation on the planet, stood against Israel. Babylon is gone, [it's now] modern day Iraq or Baghdad. The Persian government that went against Israel to some extent but also then helped Israel to go back and rebuild the temple, it's gone. It's modern day Iran. You go through year after year, decade after decade, century after century, the Nazi Germany machine, becoming the most powerful government on the planet. The Nazi German machine is gone."
"America needs to stand with Israel," Staver concluded, "because there's been one constant through history, through millennia of human history, and that is Israel has existed no matter the opposition it's faced":
On yesterday's broadcast of the "Hagee Hotline," televangelist and Christians United For Israel founder John Hagee issued a stark warning to America that the Ebola crisis is God's judgment on this nation for President Obama's failure to adequately support Israel.
"I want every American to hear this very clearly," Hagee said, citing Joel 3 to warn that God will judge any nation that seeks to divide up Israel and declaring that "our president is dead set on dividing Jerusalem. God is watching and he will bring America into judgment."
"There are grounds to say that judgment has already begun," Hagee continued, "because he, the president, has been fighting to divide Jerusalem for years now."
"We are now experiencing the crisis of Ebola," he stated, as well as threats from Islamic radicals and even civil unrest in Ferguson, Missouri all as a result of God's judgment on America due to Obama's policies:
On yesterday's "Pray In Jesus Name" program, Gordon Klingenschmitt responded to reports that the Obama administration had ordered the Pentagon to stop sending weapons and equipment to Israel without prior approval from the White House by warning that such a move is putting this nation at risk of receiving God's judgment.
Klingenschmitt declared that "the Scriptures call for Washington" to ensure that America's foreign policy is based upon the Bible, saying that "the foreign policy of our national security to protect American interests ought to be in line with Joel chapter three."
In Joel 3, God warns that nations will be put "on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land."
"Who is He talking about there?" Klingenschmitt warned. "He's talking about America if we are among those who have scattered Israel among the nations and divided up God's land":
On his "Pray In Jesus Name" program yesterday, Gordon Klingenschmitt interviewed John McTernan of USA Prophecy about his book "As America Has Done To Israel" in which he "reveals the direct correlation between America interfering with God's prophetic plan for Israel and incredible disasters hitting America."
As McTernan explained to Klingenschmitt, just about every major natural disaster that has struck the United States since 1991 has been as a result of America trying to force Israel to give up land for peace. McTernan said that President George H.W Bush's vacation home in Maine was damaged when the US co-sponsored the Madrid Peace Conference as a sign from God and, since then, America has been hit by massive natural disasters every time this nation has tried to "pressure Israel to divide the land."
"That includes the North Ridge Earthquake," McTernan said, "It includes Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina, it includes the tremendous tornado outbreak in Joplin, Missouri and many, many, many other of these massive disasters and there is an Israeli component at the very time of the disasters."
Klingenschmitt agreed, saying these disasters are to be interpreted as "the wrath of God against America when we choose to violate Scripture" by having "cursed" Israel:
In a blog post last week, Concerned Women for America reminded us of one ever-present subtext in the Christian Right’s focus on support for Israel.
Christian Zionists believe that biblical prophecy requires Jews to converge in Israel to pave way for the Second Coming, at which time Jews will be converted to Christianity or die. There are, of course, otherreasons for the Christian Right’s allegiance with Israel, but the ultimate conversion of Jews is a subtext underlying the activism of many within the movement.
Take a recent CWA blog post, for example, about the need for Jews to return to Israel in order for them to ultimately convert to Christianity.
“Not only should we push for strong foreign policy, but we must also be in prayer for our Jewish friends,” CWA writes in a July 18 blog post. “Ultimately, God is eager to bring his people back to Him and to direct their zeal for the law into a zeal for Christ’s already accomplished salvation on the Cross for both Jews and Gentiles alike.”
We must push for legislation that promotes the peace that Israel deserves and pushes the Palestinian Authority to break its ties with Hamas. America must have a strategic role in this conflict, and we as citizens should hold our leaders accountable to protect our ally in the Middle East — reminding our leaders that any foreign policy that does not support Israel is at stark odds with our national interests.
Furthermore, as Christians we are called to protect Israel and stand with this nation of people that God has blessed. Not only should we push for strong foreign policy, but we must also be in prayer for our Jewish friends. Ultimately, God is eager to bring his people back to Him and to direct their zeal for the law into a zeal for Christ’s already accomplished salvation on the Cross for both Jews and Gentiles alike.
CWA was founded by Beverly LaHaye, whose husband Tim LaHaye wrote the incredibly successful “Left Behind” series.
David Barton appeared on TBN's "Praise The Lord" program last week where he warned that America is going to suffer the wrath of God for not properly supporting Israel because "any time you go after the Jews, God comes after you."
Asserting that since God personally established Israel's boundaries, Barton said that politicians had "better get God's permission" before they start advocating any changes to those boundaries because "if you start messing with that, you're messing directly with God."
Countries like the United States that are not siding with Israel will suffer the consequences, he warned, as God strikes this nation with extreme weather, droughts, productivity declines, and agricultural disasters:
Gohmert said that he wasn't familiar with the terms of a possible Pollard release, but did know that the Obama administration has been "twisting arms" of the Israeli leadership behind the scenes in ways that is putting this nation in danger of suffering the wrath of God.
"Since I do believe the Bible," Gohmert explained, "those nations that divide Israel are going to be judged and it isn't going to be pretty. I'd hate to be the country that betrays Israel, that demands that they give up land that had been given to them. I think that we're in real trouble with the pressure that this administration's doing":
Pat Robertson has issued yetanotherwarning against Middle East peace negotiations, this time predicting natural disasters in the US over the country’s role in mediating talks between the Israelis and Palestinians. The televangelist, who called former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s stroke divine retribution for “dividing God’s land,” told 700 Club viewers today that “from a prophetic stands point, every time the United States gets involved in some kind of a pressure on Israel to split their land there’s some natural disaster that happens here in America.”
“There was a very cogent book written about that, just traced one after the other, of traced disasters that come on America,” Robertson continued. “If the United States pressures Israel to try to give up half of Jerusalem, God himself is going to come against this nation. Watch it.”
For Glenn Beck, nothing is ever what is seems and so when President Obama travels to Israel, it cannot be because that is just the sort of thing that presidents do, but rather because there is some nefarious agenda at work.
As Beck sees it, Obama already won the election and has no intention of changing any of his positions on issues pertaining to Israel or the region, so there is no reason for him to travel there ... but he did, and so there must be a hidden reason.
Beck found that hidden reason in a piece that suggests that Obama's visit there is designed to strengthen the Muslim Brotherhood and undermine Israel, as he and Rabbi Daniel Lapin agreed that the fact that Obama will not be speaking to the Knesset "conveys a message in terms of hidden clues throughout the Arab Street [that] Obama does not recognize the political and democratic legitimacy of the Israeli government":
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, made an interesting observation on his radio show yesterday. Speaking about the confirmation of Chuck Hagel, Perkins mused about the ‘irony’ that Hagel, whom he considers to be anti-Israel, was backed by Democratic senators who are “mostly aligned with a lot of the Jewish lobby” and “enjoy the money coming from the Jewish community.” Hmmm, “Jewish lobby,” where have I heard that before?
Hagel has been savaged in recent weeks for having used the phrase in a 2006 interview. He has since apologized and said he should phrased his comments differently. In case it isn’t obvious, the ADL’s Abe Foxman explains the many problems with saying “Jewish lobby.”
Notwithstanding Hagel’s apology, Sen. Lindsey Graham grilled him about his use of the phrase during his confirmation hearing. FRC also cited Hagel’s use of “Jewish lobby” in its background document opposing his confirmation. Meanwhile over at the website of the American Family Association, which broadcasts Perkins’ show, David Limbaugh railed against Hagel’s “bigoted accusation” about the “Jewish lobby” and said he failed to provide a “satisfactory explanation for his disgraceful terminology – because there is none.”
“Bigoted” and “disgraceful” sounds about right, but don’t hold your breath waiting for conservatives to denounce Perkins’ comments:
But here’s the irony. Is that the Democratic Party and the Democratic senators that supported Hagel, in spite of the fact that he has a record that’s deplorable on Israel, it comes from Democratic senators who are mostly aligned with a lot of the Jewish lobby here in Washington and around the nation, enjoy the money coming from the Jewish community. The Jewish community tends to be liberal, not all, but a lot of it is, and it supports Democratic candidates. But yet the Democratic Party works against the benefit of Israel in many ways, and this is an example of it.
Perkins seems mystified as to why most American Jews support Democrats, but his right-hand man thinks he knows the reason. FRC’s Executive Vice President Jerry Boykin has argued that Hitler was “an extraordinarily off the scale leftist” but “many Jews in America, for example, can't identify with the Republican Party because they're called the party of the Right, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.”
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) spoke to anti-Muslimconspiracytheorist Frank Gaffney yesterday on Secure Freedom Radio where he alleged that the Obama administration actively aided Al Qaeda and follows the advice of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Texas congressman partnered with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and a group of Republicans to demand investigations of Muslim Americans serving in the administration, with Bachmann warning that Muslim Brotherhood secret agents have successfully conducted “deep penetration” of the U.S. government. After the witch hunt was roundly criticized by Democrats and Republicans alike, Bachmann ended up literally running away from reporters.
Yesterday, Gohmert told Gaffney that the anti-Muslim investigations are needed more than ever, arguing that Obama made such “horrendous decisions” by backing “revolutions in Northern Africa and across the Middle East and to the Far East” that it is likely because the “administration had a bunch of Muslim Brotherhood members giving them advice.”
Gaffney: Congressman Gohmert let me just ask you quickly because you were one of five members of the House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich called you all the National Security Five, who back in June of this year wrote letters to Inspectors General of five different departments raising the question that some of these dismal policies that have resulted in the Obama administration embracing Islamists at home as well as abroad and finding itself I would argue squarely on the wrong side of history as far as freedom is concerned, may be a function of these Muslim Brotherhood associated individuals who are serving in or advising the Obama administration. Looking at what’s happening now, looking at what has developed since you wrote those letters, do you feel that that issue should be raised anew and much more aggressively as Congress looks into the fiasco in Benghazi and now more recently in Egypt?
Gohmert: Absolutely. I think it almost makes a prima facie case when you look at the decisions made by this administration over the last couple of years, or actually all four years. You look at the decisions it made especially in the last two years in going through the revolutions in Northern Africa and across the Middle East and to the Far East, and the only way you can explain the horrendous decisions that were so completely wrongheaded would be if this administration had a bunch of Muslim Brotherhood members giving them advice.
Gohmert, of “terror babies” distinction, later maintained that Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood take over Libya (they didn’t) thanks to help from the Obama administration and also talked about how Palestinians are actually a new group because they didn’t live in the area when King David ruled.
It wasn’t enough to send verbal accolades; this administration sent planes and bombs and support to oust Gadhafi so that Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood could take over Libya. Some of us were fussing about it back then but we faced what was then ‘all the rage’ and that was you know Muslim Brotherhood taking over, call it Arab Spring, call it Arab Winter, whatever you want to, but it was disastrous unless you were wanting a new Ottoman Empire to take place and that’s what this administration helped jump start. So with that same kind of spirit and enthusiasm and excitement that we saw from this administration as Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood took over in Libya and has now taken over in Egypt, now we’re seeing that for the Morsi brokered temporary peace. There is not going to be any peace in the Middle East until the Palestinians—and Newt Gingrich is right, that’s a relatively new term, they certainly weren’t around 3,000 years ago when King David was ruling from Hebron for seven years and then Jerusalem.
Anti-Muslim conspiracytheorist Avi Lipkin returned to VCY America’s Crosstalk to discuss with host Vic Eliason the crisis in Gaza and explain why the Obama administration funded Israel’s Iron Dome when he is actually a Muslim seeking Israel’s destruction. Lipkin believes that Obama is a tool of Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia, in turn, is a tool of the Illuminati, arguing that the President is following orders from the Saudi monarchy/Illuminati to destroy both Israel and Iran. But since Lipkin also admits that Obama is helping Israel through the Iron Dome defense system, he asserts that the shield funding is actually part of a malicious plot to give Israel a false sense of security and trick it into starting a deadly war with Iran, a war which Lipkin says will lead to both countries’ demise.
So apparently if Obama doesn’t provide aide then he hates Israel, and if he does provide aide it also means he hates Israel.
So you might say, ‘yes he’s very pro-Israel in that he gave us these weapons.’ But the problem is this: when the Islamic world spends more than a hundred times what Israel spends on missiles, bombs, bullets, aircraft, tanks and helicopters and everything like that, no matter how much the U.S. military gives Israel it’s a drop in the ocean compared to all the weapons available to the Muslims because they’re spending all their oil money to make war against Israel. So some people think this generous gift by Obama and by the U.S. military to Israel is basically giving Israel enough rope to hang itself, to get involved in a war which after five, six or seven weeks, again we’re out of bullets.
According to my wife who monitors the Arabic-language broadcasts, Obama’s a Muslim, he is following orders from Saudi [Arabia] and the bottom line is for the destruction of Israel, and the bottom line is also for the destruction of the Iranian Shiite leadership in Tehran. So what’s better than killing two birds with one stone? Meanwhile Iran is constantly arming Hamas in Gaza with rockets against us and Iran is backing Bashar al-Assad and Hezbollah, who are also very not very friendly to Israel, not that the Sunnis would be any better, Israel is in a very bad neighborhood, everybody hates Israel here in the Middle East, all the Muslims hate Israel. It could be that Obama is using Israel as a proxy in a war against Iran. When he says, ‘let Israel defend itself,’ yeah let Israel get involved in a war, get enmeshed in a war which in the end will be very, very deleterious to Israel.
Lipkin concludes that all Muslims are determined to murder Jews and Christians because Islam is a “criminal psychosis” and they worship Satan.
Islam is not a religion, it is a criminal psychosis. And this criminal psychosis calls for the killing of the Jews on Saturday and the Christians on Sunday.
We see today the Sunnis and Shiites fighting each other, they all hate Israel, they all want to destroy Israel in the name of destroying each other because their god Allah is the devil, is Satan.
Under President Obama’s leadership, the Pentagon revived plans for the Iron Dome rocket defense shield in Israel, which played a critical role in the recent Gaza crisis. “Despite initial Pentagon misgivings, President Barack Obama has given $275 million to the project since 2010” after the Bush administration turned down requests to fund the project, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Now, anti-gay activist Harry Jackson is trying his best to act as an expert on the Middle East (just as he styles himself to be a health care and energy policy analyst) by attacking the Obama administration for supposedly mistreating and deserting Israel. He says that while Obama shows an “affinity with the Islamic world,” he has abandoned America’s alliance with Israel. But then Jackson goes on to praise the Iron Dome for preventing rocket attacks, either not knowing or caring that Obama secured the necessary funding to build the defense system. Unfortunately, for the Religious Right, no matter what Obama does hewillalwaysbeportrayed as a stealth Muslim adversary of Israel.
Why was there such a disconnect with young Israelis? Perhaps their apprehension can be attributed to our leader’s affinity with the Islamic world and the numerous perceived slights senior Israeli leaders have received from him.
In addition, Obama did not visit Israel as president, although he did travel there as a presidential candidate in 2008. After winning a large percentage of the Jewish American vote—as Democrats traditionally do—his seeming ambivalence or lukewarm treatment has given heartburn to both Jews and evangelical Christians.
Only the providence of God and Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system has miraculously prevented major casualties. It is little wonder that Israel is preparing for a ground invasion of Gaza. A year ago last spring, during my first trip to Israel, I was shocked at how close Gaza is to Israel.
The American public remains largely unaware of the magnitude of the conflict due to the general failure of the mainstream media to report accurately concerning the wrongs suffered by Israel. Instead, any measure Israel takes to defend itself is decried as brutal and over the top.
In the meantime, Israel’s enemies have boasted about its impending destruction. Most vocal today are the threats we hear from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is known to be supplying Hamas with their weapons.
On President Obama’s watch, the United States has gone from being a staunch ally to the only democracy in the Middle East to something like a silent peer. But Israel will not wait for our approval to defend itself, nor should it.
