President Barack Obama

Mat Staver Calls For Obama's Impeachment Over Anti-Discrimination Executive Order

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Liberty Counsel chairman Mat Staver called for President Obama to be impeached for having recently signed an executive order banning companies that receive federal contracts from discriminating against employees based on sexual orientation and gender identity, saying that Obama is a dictator who thinks that he is above the law.

"He is literally taking upon himself powers that are not conferred to the president of the United States," Staver declared. "The president can't, through executive order, just bypass Congress and that's what he's doing. This is reprehensible. This is a dictatorship. This is a fiefdom that he is doing and he needs to be stopped. He needs to literally be impeached ... He just simply thinks he is a king and the Constitution is a pesky document. This is a man that needs to be impeached. He does not deserve to be the president of the United States of America":

Fischer: Obama 'Happy' To Return Taliban Fighters To The Battle Field Because They Share The 'Same Objective'

On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer declared that President Obama is eager to release members of the Taliban from Guantanamo Bay so that they can go back into battle against the United States since both he and the Taliban share the "same objective" of destroying America.

Fischer said that Obama actually seemed "happy about" the prospect of released Taliban fighters returning to the battlefield and that is because "the purpose of the Taliban is to defeat America and [Obama] believes that America needs to be punished."

"Since that's the same objective as the Taliban has," Fischer said, "that's why he really doesn't have a problem releasing them back into the field of battle":

Todd Starnes 'Cannot Wait For The Day That We Have A President That Loves America'

Todd Starnes appeared on the AFA's "Today's Issues" radio program last week to discuss the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl where he suggested that President Obama has "deserted" the United States of America.

Claiming that Bergdahl is a traitor who had betrayed his country, Starnes declared that "this soldier may not be the only one who has deserted; I think President Obama has deserted his obligations and responsibilities as President of the United States of America."

AFA president Tim Wildmon agreed, asserting that he feels like he is "living in the Twilight Zone" because "it's as if our own president is against our country ... I look at what's going on and I go 'whose side is this guy on?'"

While Wildmon predicted that this story would help the Republicans in the midterm elections because "Democrats are scurrying like rats on a ship that's on fire" to distance themselves from this story, Starnes simply stated that "I cannot wait for the day that we have a president that loves America":

Beck: Bergdahl Release Just A Ploy By Obama ''To Get Everybody To Stop Talking About The VA'

When former CIA Director David Petraeus resigned from office back in 2012 following revelations that he had engaged in an extramarital affair, Glenn Beck knew that the entire thing had been orchestrated in order to discredit the military and distract from coverage of the attack on Benghazi.

Last year, when allegations broke that the IRS had inappropriately targeted conservative political organizations and that the Department of Justice had obtained phone records of Associated Press reporters and editors, Beck was positive that those were also attempts to draw attention away from Benghazi.

On his radio broadcast today, Beck switched things up a bit when it came to discussing the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl as he declared not that it was an effort to distract from Benghazi, but rather an effort by President Obama to distract the media from the VA scandal.

Obama "was starting to look very, very weak because of the VA," Beck said, and so "the only reason why this happened is because the President is trying to get the VA off of the front page of the newspapers. That's all he's doing. He's just trying to get everybody to stop talking about the VA":

Glenn Beck Does Not React Well To Obama's Health Care Victory Lap

These days, Glenn Beck's TV and radio programs are little more than exercises in projection and hypocrisy, so it was no surprise to see him have a complete meltdown on his radio program today over President Obama's remarks yesterday hailing reports that more than seven million people had signed up for health insurance under Obamacare.

Declaring that the seven million figure was obviously phony, Beck flew into a rage against Obama and the "rat bastards" in the media who refuse to hold him accountable for his pathological lying.

"This guy," Beck said of Obama, "you put him in a military uniform, I'm not kidding you, you put him on a balcony in a military uniform, this guy is a full-fledged dictator."

"He's a sociopath!," Beck proclaimed, later in the broadcast. "He's sociopathic!."

Then, after an hour of ranting about Obama and the press and the Republicans, Beck finally snapped and declared that he is "not going to pay attention to these people any more, I am not going to waste my life," screaming that "I have a right to pursue my happiness, I have a right to do what I was born to do!"

"My state of mind is great," he concluded, "'cause I've had enough":

Upon returning from the commercial break, Beck resumed railing against all of these same people while simultaneously asserting that he was done paying attention to them.

Beck: The Obama Administration Is 'Trying To Kill Christian Thought'

On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck accused President Obama of lying about what was discussed during the recent meeting he held with Pope Francis, which then set off some extended lecture from Beck about the inevitable failure of socialism whenever and wherever it is tried.

Admitting that the foundational principle at the heart of socialism - give to those in need - is a Judeo-Christian principle, Beck said that it never actually works in practice. There has been plenty of religious groups that have voluntarily tried to implement it, he said, and it has always ended in starvation and disaster, but when governments try to implement socialism, it ends with millions of citizens being murdered.

And that resulted in a declaration from Beck that the Obama administration is "trying to kill all Christian thought," because Christianity is the only thing that prevents a socialist government from murdering its citizens by the tens of thousands.

"They're trying to kill the one thing," Beck warned, "that stops people from saying 'let's kill those people and take their stuff, let's just keep killing people until it does work,' this administration is trying to kill that":

Fischer: 'The Spirit Of The Antichrist Is At Work' In Obama

On his radio broadcast today, Bryan Fischer took some time to reiterate his belief that while President Obama is not technically the Antichrist, he is an antichrist and operates under the "spirit of the Antichrist."

Saying that never in America history has this nation been governed by a leader who was as "aggressively and relentlessly opposed to Christianity" as Obama, Fischer said that doesn't mean that Obama is the Antichrist, but rather that "the spirit of the Antichrist is at work in him":

Jindal: It May Be Time To Revisit The Assumption That Obama Is A Smart Man

It is always entertaining when milquetoast Republican governors who harbor dreams of running for president decide to try to toughen up their image by throwing red meat to the crowd at CPAC. We saw Tim Pawlenty do it several years back and Bobby Jindal do it again today when he kicked off his remarks by sarcastically offering an apology to former president Jimmy Carter for having mistakenly called him the "worst president of this great country in my lifetime."

Apparently having totally forgotten the eight-year debacle that was George W. Bush's presidency, Jindal said the title of worst president now belongs to Obama who, quite frankly, is just not very bright.

"We have long thought and said this president is a smart man," Jinda declared. "It may be time to revisit the assumption":

Barton: Right Wing Worries That Obama Will Grant Himself A Third Term Is Proof That He Is 'Lawless'

On today's "WallBuilders Live" radio program, David Barton responded to a question from a listener asking if he thought that President Obama might declare a state of emergency so that he could cancel the 2016 elections and serve a third term in office.

Barton said that he didn't think that such a scenario was very likely, but used the question to assert that nobody voiced this sort of concern about Presidents Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush. The fact that people are asking such questions now, Barton said, is a sign that Obama is "lawless."

"It's interesting that this is the question that is asked by people when they find their presidents to be lawless," Barton declared. "If you have a president who is not lawless, you don't ask the question. You know that Ronald Reagan is not going to do a third term; he followed the Constitution. You know that George Bush, you may not like all that he did but he stayed with the Constitution in a very public way ... Nobody debated that he was going to change the Constitution for himself, for his own benefit. The fact that you have this question indicates something of the nature of the presidents with whom you're dealing ... Asking the question is the character of the leader who is in office at the time":

Russia 'Is A Freer Country Today Than We Are Here In America'

On yesterday's broadcast, End Times radio host Rick Wiles interviewed right-wing Christian activist Keith Davies (who is also the business partner of anti-Muslim activist Walid Shoebat) about "the ubiquitous evil which has assumed control over region and now even the highest echelons of American government."

As Davies explained, every member of Congress - every single one - has "sold out to the Devil," including even Senator Ted Cruz because he has refused to demand President Obama's imprisonment over the fact that his half-brother is supposedly a terrorist.

"This story on Malik Obama," Davies asserted, "would have any other other president in the past fifty years in chains by now."

The only reason that Obama hasn't been jailed, Wiles sighed, is because "there has been a coup d'etat in this country," but it doesn't come from Russia, as we had always been told it would, but rather it happened internally.

That prompted Davies to declare that "Russia is actually, in many ways, doing the right thing with Islam, they're doing the right thing with homosexuality, they won't tolerate homosexuals in their country," before concluding that "Russia today, in my opinion, is a freer country today than we are here in America":

Barber & Staver: Impeach Obama Because 'High Crimes And Misdemeanors' Means Whatever We Want It To Mean

As Brian noted yesterday, Liberty Counsel has now launched a campaign urging the House of Representatives to file articles of impeachment against President Obama for having supposedly committed multiple high crimes and misdemeanors.

What exactly those "high crimes and misdemeanors" are is kind of hard to say but it doesn't really matter apparently because, as Mat Staver and Matt Barber explained on a recent "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, "high crimes and misdemeanors" means basically whatever Congress says it means at any given time:

Staver: The Constitution refers to high crimes and misdemeanors and when you think of a misdemeanor, you think well there's a specific criminal offense. No, the Constitution throughout its history and through the intent does not refer to these as actual crimes; a high crime and misdemeanor is not an actual misdemeanor in the terms of the criminal sense, or a felony in the terms of a criminal sense, it's whatever Congress says it is at any given time and that has been the case for people accepting bribes or people lying, like President Bill Clinton, he lied to the American people. That was an impeachable offense.

...

Barber: You know, high crimes and misdemeanors is a relatively subjective analysis that Congress is supposed to reasonably make. As you point out, there's not a clear definition, there's not an itemization of things that reach the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. That's left up to the discretion of Congress to look at and if you look at this president's long list of abuses of power, or lying to the American people, of intimidation, or bullying, of selective enforcement of the laws. All of those things together clearly far surpass the threshold that you need for a reasonable, subjective analysis to arrive at the conclusion that his president, over and again, has committed multiple high crimes and misdemeanors.

...

Barack Hussein Obama has brought great shame upon himself, upon the American people and upon the United States of America.

God Helped Ralph Reed Discover Obama Was A Fraud Back In 1997, But He's Just Mentioning It Now

It looks as if right-wing grifter Ralph Reed has a new book coming out soon entitled "Awakening: How America Can Turn from Moral and Economic Destruction Back to Greatness."

In an effort to promote the book, Reed has filmed a series of short videos highlighting different aspects of the topics covered in his book, including one that purports to reveal with "real" Barack Obama, whom Reed met back in 1997 when they both served on a Harvard working group tasked with studying "civil engagement and social capital."

Reed says his participation in that working group was "a divine appointment" brought about so that he could meet Obama and discover that he was "the most liberal and the most out of the mainstream politician I had ever met in my career who could be considered viable at the ballot box."

In fact, Reed says, Obama knew this as well, which is why he has used his gift for language "to obscure rather than to reveal who he really was and what he really believed."

"It was really a fog machine," Reed says. "I knew it; unfortunately the rest of the country did not":

Interestingly, we have literally never heard any of this from Reed before. You'd think that if Reed has know this since 1997, he might have been making this case back when Obama was, say, running for the US Senate? Or maybe when he ran for President in back to back national elections?

How is it possible that Reed never brought this up until now?

Perhaps his statement in the video that "I'm not going to give away the story because I want you to get the book" might offer a clue?

Peterson On Obama: 'I Definitely Am Convinced He Is The Son Of Satan'

Earlier this week, Jesse Lee Peterson appeared on World Ministries International's "Warning" television program where he revealed his belief that President Barack Obama is literally "the son of Satan."

Decrying the fact that a Judeo-Christian nation like America is under the leadership of a liar like Obama, Peterson declared that "I can't say that he is Satan, but I definitely am convinced he is the son of Satan."

When the host, Jonathan Hansen, asked Peterson if he believed that Obama was "a stereotype of the Antichrist," Peterson took it a step further, asserting that Obama might actually be the Antichrist.

"I've never seen anyone convince or seduce a nation," Peterson said, "in the way that I've seen Obama seduce America within the last five years now."

If Obama is not the Antichrist, Peterson said, he is, at most, "one step away" from being the Antichrist:

Santorum On Obama's State Of The Union Address: 'This Is What Tyrants Are Made Of'

Rick Santorum called into Steve Malzberg's radio program yesterday to discuss his reaction to President Obama State of the Union address and, like Glenn Beck, he saw in it the hallmarks of Obama becoming a tyrannical dictator.

Malzberg was particularly disturbed by Obama's declarations that "climate change is a fact" and that Obamacare is the law of the land, seeing in those statements a complete dismissal of the Republican point of view. And that takeaway was shared by Santorum, who heard echoes of the recent statement made by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in Obama's speech.

"This attitude is," Santorum said, "we've heard enough from you folks, it's time to get out, get out of the way. If you don't get out of the way, I'm going to do it myself. And this is what tyrants are made of":

Barber: 'We Know [Obama's] Sympathies Lie With These Muslim Nations And Against Christianity'

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Matt Barber and Mat Staver discussed a recent report from Open Doors USA that found that most anti-Christian persecution happening around the world is occurring in Muslim nations.

Barber, of course, used this as an excuse to trot out the standard Religious Right claim that liberals and Muslims are both persecuting Christians at home and abroad because both groups hate God's truth. But the point of the broadcast today was to discuss why American Christians have remained silent while their Christian brothers and sisters around the world have suffered brutal persecution and Barber didn't really know ... but he did know why President Obama hasn't spoken out: because he hates Christians:

Staver: it's one thing to criticize the administration but it's another thing about the church itself. Where are the voices of Christians here in the United States rising to the level of saying that this Christian persecution needs to be addressed?

Barber: Let's parse this out because I think that there are different motives here. When it comes to President Obama, as we discussed in a recent recording of Faith and Freedom, it's pretty clear; for him to criticize these Muslim nations for killing, for murdering and torturing Christians, it doesn't fit the narrative. We know that his sympathies lie with these Muslim nations and against Christianity and against Christians and so it's not surprising that he would choose to be silent. I'm disgusted by it but I'm not surprised by it.

I'm baffled by the silence of the church, as you mentioned, here in the United States and I don't know what the motive of that silence is other than perhaps fear or apathy and it's time for the church to get behind and support these Christians who are being martyred across the world.

So President Obama hasn't spoken out about this persecution because he hates Christians, but Christians haven't spoken out about it either ... for who knows what reason?

We also like to simply note that neither Barber nor Staver have said much, if anything, about this issue in all the years we have been listening to their programs. If Barber is "baffled" by the silence of the church in talking about this issue, he just so happens have a daily radio broadcast and a weekly column that he could be using to combat that, but over the last few years, he apparently hasn't felt that it was much of a priority.

Barber & Staver: Obama 'Doesn't Like America' And Is Working To Weaken It

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Matt Barber and Mat Staver asserted that President Obama was siding with terrorist Muslim nations against Israel and intentionally weakening the United States because he hates America.

Bizarrely, Barber criticized Obama for cozying up to nations that "attack ... homosexuals," which is a bid odd given that Barber openly advocates for the passage of anti-gay laws here in America while Staver, who is part of a new effort to increase civility, has no qualms about declaring that Obama simply doesn't like America:

Barber: Time and time again, he has show through his actions that Barack Hussein Obama, that his sympathies lie with these Muslim nations, many of them terrorist nations. It boggles the mind when it is clearly not in the best interest of the United States, not in the best interest of Israel or the national security of either of these two western countries, the democratic hubs of the world, frankly, in terms of freedom. Yet this president seems to consistently align himself with these nations that attack, for instance, homosexuals, women, that repress women, that keep little girls from having education, these Islamic nations that seek to destroy America and Israel. I can't figure it out.

Staver: Well, I think he doesn't like America and he doesn't like the Judeo-Christian values that founded America and are the foundation of America. So, with his foreign policy, he is really pulling back America and weakening America.

Wiles: 'Satan Launched A D-Day Invasion Of The United States Of America In 2012'

Rick Wiles dedicated his radio program on Friday to detailing for his listeners just how a "deadly cabal of Illuminati, Freemasons, and Communists (masquerading as Progressives) ... have infiltrated the U.S. leadership and brainwashed our children."

As he explained, it started back in 2012 when Satan launched a "D-Day invasion" of America when "witches" like Madonna and Nicki Minaj performed "nationally televised occult rituals" and culminated in the re-election of "America's illegitimate president, foreign agent Barry Soetoro."

Satan launched a D-Day invasion of the United States of America in 2012. When I say "D-Day," I mean "Demon Day invasion." If you think back to the bizarre way 2012 started, you'll see the makings of a full-scale military-style demonic attack on the body of Christ in this nation. Nothing like it has ever happened in the history of this country.

2012 started with witches conducting nationally televised occult rituals to announce the D-Day invasion. I'm referring to the satanic performances of performers such as Nicki Minaj and Madonna on national TV programs in early 2012.

There was also the dark, sinister opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London ... Now 2012 ended with the illegal re-election of America's illegitimate president, foreign agent Barry Soetoro as the highest official in the land even though placed there illegally because he is a foreign agenda.

Barry Soetoro embraced and espoused wickedness and rebellion against the one true god of the universe. And the America people's acceptance of him also meant acceptance of his spiritual rebellion against our holy God.

'Perhaps America Will Throw This Marxist Out Of Office And Imprison Him For Treason'

Via our good friend Erik Rush, we were alerted to this new video from the fine folks over at the Western Center for Journalism entitled, rather succinctly, "Communist Barack Obama Should Be in Prison."

Guess what it's about?

As the video explains, President Obama is a longtime communist who is working to transform America into a communist utopia through income redistribution and by collapsing the economy by implementing socialized medicine. Intent on destroying the middle class, Obama has created government-subsided health insurance in order to bring about a massive underclass that will be ruled over by elites such as himself and George Soros. In fact, Obama is intentionally working to destroy the economy in order to benefit banks and investment firms, which will somehow make billions of dollars by seeing the entire economy collapse.

"Perhaps when the economy is driven over a cliff," the narrator says, "the masses will clamor for an Obama third term and Comrade Obama will lead America down the road to a communist utopia. Or perhaps America will throw this Marxist out of office and imprison him for treason":

Michael Peroutka, God, and Christian Reconstructionists At Larry Klayman's Revolution

At last week’s less-than-spectacular kickoff for the Second American Revolution, Larry Klayman announced that President Obama has until this coming Friday, November 29, to resign. If he doesn’t, Klayman and his friends will move forward with their plan to organize mass civil disobedience, force the resignation of President Obama and the Congress, and replace them with a government-in-waiting to be formed in Philadelphia in the coming weeks.

The idea was even too much for Alan Keyes, who decided not to show up at Klayman’s rally in Washington DC last week.  Klayman read the crowd a letter from Keyes explaining his decision, then dismissed Keyes’ argument that Americans should rely on grassroots political organizing rather than Egyptian-style mass demonstrations. Klayman said he no longer believes America can be fixed through elections, at least not until he’s “cleaned house.” Klayman complained bitterly that none of the Tea Party-affiliated members of Congress was willing to attend his revolution rally.

One speaker who did show up at Klayman’s rally was Michael Peroutka, the U.S. Constitution Party’s presidential nominee in 2004 (he got about 150,000 votes). According to the party’s platform, “The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations and to limit the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries.” Peroutka is also a southern secessionist and Christian Reconstructionist who sees the Republican Party and “Godless” conservative movement as part of the problem.

Just last month, Peroutka wrote, “Anyone, including those who identify with the ‘Tea Party’, who loves America and desires real reform, would do well to disengage themselves from the Republican Party and their brand of worthless, Godless, unprincipled conservatism.” And in challenging Rush Limbaugh’s rhetoric about Republicans having been “hoodwinked” by Democrats and the media during the government shutdown showdown, Peroutka wrote,

Isn’t it more likely that those who have been “hoodwinked” are those that put their trust in the Republican party and the Godless, conservative movement? Isn’t it beyond time to return to the true American View of law and government, acknowledging the Creator God as the Supreme Judge of the Universe and the written Constitution as the Supreme law of the Land?

At the rally, Peroutka praised Klayman as a “legal restorer,” saying “an order has been denigrated and lost and needs to be found and recovered and restored.” His rhetoric echoes Christian Reconstructionist godfather Rousas John Rushdoony, who said, “The only true order is founded on Biblical law. All law is religious in nature, and every non-Biblical law-order represents an anti-Christian religion.” Klayman is a member of the secretive Council on National Policy, where he has had the chance to rub shoulders with people like Constitution Party founder Howard Phillips, who died earlier this year. In his introduction to Peroutka, Klayman praised Phillips as “a great American” and “one of the icons of the conservative movement.”

In addition to his association with the Constitution Party, Peroutka is the founder of the Institute on the Constitution, a Maryland-based group that spreads Christian Reconstructionist ideas about the law and Constitution through seminars presented around the country. Peroutka’s remarks at the rally echo the Institute’s message that the only law that matters is God’s law:

“There is a God. Our rights come from him. The purpose of civil government is to protect and defend God-given rights. This is the American view of law and government. It also happens to be the biblical view of law and government. America was founded upon the biblical view of law and government….”

According to this Christian Reconstructionist view, God has not granted government the authority to have any role, for example, in education or the alleviation of poverty; God gives that responsibility to churches and families. Religion scholar Julie Ingersoll describes Christian Reconstructionism this way:

For Reconstructionists, the civil government’s authority is limited to protecting citizens from criminals. Family and ecclesiastical authority are established to uphold (and enforce) other aspects of biblical law. That’s not to say that any of these institutions are understood as functioning autonomously; all are under the authority of God and are to function according to biblical law. But each is independent of the others.

The idea that the Bible puts strict limits on government’s “jurisdiction” is at the core of Christian Reconstructionist thinking, and is frequently embraced by more “mainstream” Religious Right leaders. Peroutka writes:

Since civil government is ordained by God in order to protect God-given rights, then the function of civil government is to obey God and to enforce God’s law – PERIOD.

It is not the role of civil government to house, feed, clothe, educate or give heath care to…ANYBODY! (Or to operate a Panda-cam at the National Zoo.)

On a website promoting the Institute on the Constitution’s course, Peroutka says, “As American culture has moved away from the acknowledgment of God’s authority, and the desire for his blessing, American government has untethered itself from God’s requirement that it stay within its limited jurisdiction.” He argues that “When God’s law is ignored, chaos ensues.” Peroutka recently told right-wing radio host Steve Deece that “so-called civil rights laws” are not law because “there is no such thing as a civil right.” And he denounced the proposed Employment Non Discrimination Act as “federalizing perversion.”

Echoing a theme heard frequently at Religious Right events, Peroutka told rally participants they share the blame for the country’s problems because they have allowed “usurpers” who don’t have allegiance to his view of law and government to “rule over us.” He said, “We need to repent of these ways, these things that we have done. Because we have broken the law by allowing this to occur. We are responsible. We need to repent before God.”

Last year, the Human Rights Campaign noticed that Peroutka, a Maryland-based lawyer, was one of the biggest donors to the anti-marriage-equality effort in the state, and slammed his association with The League of the South. Peroutka denied that he is a white supremacist, but called himself a “proud member” of the group; in fact he is a board member. He was a featured speaker at the group’s conference last June, which was entitled, “Southern Independence: Antidote to Tyranny.” The group defines its mission this way: “The League of the South is a Southern Nationalist organization whose ultimate goal is a free and independent Southern republic.”   Also:

We also encourage individuals and families to personally withdraw (secede) from the corrupt and corrupting influence of post-Christian culture in America. We call this "abjuring the realm," and it's a real and dramatic first step all of us can take by simply withdrawing our support of and allegiance to the corrupt government in Washington that through its greed, corruption and lack of Christian values has destroyed your children's and grand children's future.

Plenty of other speakers, including a couple of clergy, claimed God’s endorsement.  Even W. Cleon Skausen, the late far-right Mormon conspiracy theorist, was invoked. Sheriff Richard Mack demonstrated a “political prayer” that he said Skausen had taught 250 law enforcement officers at a training session – a series of hand motions to go along with a recitation of the preamble to the Constitution. Skausen, also a member of the Council on National Policy, was popularized by Glenn Beck’s promotion of his book The 5000 Year Leap as divinely inspired. The Southern Poverty Law Center describes the book as “an illustrated recipe for turning the United States into 50 little theocracies.”

Klayman himself wasn’t shy about invoking God’s blessing on his revolution:

“Our strength comes from God. We take orders only from him. We don’t take orders from Hussein over there. We take orders from our God, not his. So consequently we are moving forward and we look for your support and your help.” He ended his remarks by saying, “and most important of all, we have God on our side.”

Fischer: Obama 'Is A Christophobic Bigot'

As we noted yesterday, the entire Religious Right movement is in the process of freaking out over the fact that President Obama read a version of The Gettysburg Address that did not include the phrase "under God."  The simple fact that Obama was asked to read that specific version by documentary filmmaker Ken Burns does not, according to the Right, in any way absolve him of this grave sin, with Liberty Counsel fuming that "he has certainly failed to acknowledge God and Biblical values throughout his presidency" and Gary Bauer declaring that "God is not amused."

Most furious of all is Bryan Fischer who insists that Obama deliberately read the version that did not include "under God" because he is a "Christophobic bigot."

Obama as "deliberately insulted the faith of 300 million Americans," Fischer said. "There's no way this was not deliberate and intentional. So, to me, this is just more evidence of President Obama's anti-Christian bigotry. He is a Christophobic bigot; he has an intolerance, he has a dislike, he has an animus for Christianity":
