Ann Coulter: At Least Jim Crow-Era Schools Didn't Teach 'On How Bad Black People Are'

On “The Eric Metaxas Show” yesterday, Ann Coulter criticized public schools for supposedly “teaching classes to white children on how bad white people are,” while insisting that segregated schools during Jim Crow “were not teaching classes in the white schools on how bad black people are.”

“[America] is the last Christian country on earth, it is one of the least sinning countries and far more sinned against, and all we do is wallow in every tiny little thing, not we, but you know, it’s forced on us from every media outlet,” Coulter said. “‘Oh, let’s talk about the bad things.’ I mean, you see the analogy with what’s done to policemen in America, keeping us safe, risking their lives, risking their lives to keep people who hate their guts safe, and 99 percent of them are fabulous and unbelievable. I would say it’s less than one percent, and all we have to hear about is, ‘Oh that one percent, and yes, there are some bad apples.’ Why don’t we say that about any other profession? How about hedge fund managers? How about campaign consultants? Any bad apples in there? How about newspaper editors?”

Coulter continued, “With them, it would be shocking to even begin a sentence with, ‘Well, there are some bad apples.’ It’s the same thing with America. We have, you know, the most magnificent country, should be fighting to protect it and instead, I mean, look at these course curriculums.”

“Even, you know, in the worst days of Jim Crow, when – true, black people could not go to school with white people because of the Democrats, but in the worst days, they were not teaching classes in the white schools on how bad black people are,” Coulter said. “Today, right here, within a half mile of where this studio is, they are teaching classes to white children on how bad white people are.”

Metaxas said, “This started in the ‘60s, and basically, we have been teaching young people – we’ve not been teaching them about the greatness of America and the heroes of America, the people who have died for liberty. And we have not been teaching that.” He accused universities of “teaching against the greatness of America.”

Ann Coulter: Hillary Clinton Will 'Overwhelm' America 'With The Third World'

On Saturday’s edition of “The Eric Metaxas Show,” Ann Coulter attacked the immigration reform plan championed by Hillary Clinton and agreed with Metaxas that Clinton’s appointment of “activist” Supreme Court justices would result in “the end of America.”

“Hillary Clinton is going to elect people like Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the Supreme Court,” Metaxas said. “That’s the end of America. You’re gonna have an activist judiciary.”

“I think it will be the end because she will work directly with Paul Ryan, unless the great primary opponent Paul Nehlen takes him out on August 9, which I hope he does,” Coulter said. “But we know that Paul Ryan is 100 percent for amnesty, 100 percent for transforming America into a different country more like France has been experiencing. You can see the new country they’re foisting on us. Well, that’s 100 percent Paul Ryan, and Hillary already said the first thing she wants to do is reach out to the Republicans and pass amnesty.”

“The country will be overwhelmed, more than it already is, with the third world,” Coulter said. “We’ll never win anything again. Look to France, look to California to your future.”

“Have they already overwhelmed the country with so many ringers coming in, collecting welfare and bloc voting for the Democrats?” Coulter asked. “Maybe we already are California.”

Mychal Massie: Black Lives Matter 'Worse Than The KKK'

On Friday’s episode of “Trunews” with Rick Wiles, WorldNetDaily’s Mychal Massie called Black Lives Matter a terrorist group that is “worse than the KKK.”

“I think that Black Lives Matter are worse than the KKK,” Massie said. “I believe them to be – they’re treated by this administration with the same kind of care, coddling, and warmness that the Obama administration shows toward the Islamic terrorists. And people say, ‘Well, how can you say they’re worse than the KKK?’ Well, they’re worse than the KKK because the KKK did not have a forum in all of the mainstream newspapers and media outlets to spew their hatred, but Black Lives Matter is given that forum. Black Lives Matter and their adherents are given a platform and legitimized to spew forth hatred under the guise that blacks have it so bad in America, so that makes them worse.

“And with respect to my comparison to them and the Islamic terrorists, when’s the last time CAIR came out and just denounced Islamic terrorism?” he continued. “They give left-handed condemnation, but at the same time, CAIR itself has been associated as a terrorist group, a terrorist-sponsoring group. And it’s the same with Black Lives Matter. When you have groups that are advocating for destruction, acrimony, and violence against other Americans, whether they be foreign or domestic, those are terrorist groups, and that is what Black Lives Matter is.”

Massie argued that the White House and Department of Justice should “do everything in the power of the government to take this group down.”

“Loretta Lynch, the Attorney General, is telling them, ‘We support you in your right to protest.’ Well, when have these people gathered peaceably? And we know that they’re calling for people to go to Cleveland for the Republican Convention and carry guns, so that’s an alchemy in and of itself for violence and bloodshed,” Massie said.

Klayman: 'Muslim-In-Chief' Obama Treats Whites As 'Inferior'

Judicial Watch founder Larry Klayman, who is currently suing President Obama for endangering his life as a white man, claimed this week that the “Muslim-in-chief” Obama treats white people as “inferior” because he wants “payback” for discrimination. Klayman told “Trunews” host Rick Wiles on Wednesday that while in the 1960s people of all races loved Motown music, that racial harmony was ruined by Obama.

“President Obama — who I call, actually, the Muslim-in-chief — favors his own people over other people,” Klayman said. “We deserve to be treated equally. I’m, in effect, a civil rights lawyer. I was on Fox News yesterday about that, the business channel, and I just pointed out that everybody needs to be represented by our president, not just blacks, not just Muslims, and not just black Muslims.”

Klayman claimed that Obama has “systematically … tried to fan the flames of racial hatred and division. The president has a problem. He is an angry man. He has done everything in his administration, whether it’s with regard to egging on violence against white police officers or whites in general to, in effect, have people, not of color but white people and others, pay reparations for what he saw as years of discrimination.”

“We don’t condone the discrimination of the past,” Klayman said, “we want to resolve it. And that’s exactly what Martin Luther King started to do back in the 1960s: judge people on the content of their character, not on their color; peaceful nonviolence, not like Black Lives Matter, but bringing about change and having the races respect each other and appreciate each other. You know, we all grew up [with] Motown Sound, we loved the Temptations, we loved the Supremes, you know. Why couldn’t that continue? Obama didn’t want it to continue.”

“Obama was raised as a Muslim,” Klayman continued. “Obama is taught to hate Christians and Jews. Obama does not accept the fact that this country should include everybody and he wants payback.”

“We just can’t take it anymore,” Klayman said of white Americans. “We’re equal to African-Americans, we’re not inferior, and Obama has treated us as if we are inferior in the last many years. I mean, overtaxing, Obamacare, destroying the entire healthcare system to take care of a few, executive amnesty, which brings in a lot of illegal aliens that commit crimes, a lot of them across the Mexican border, even Muslim terrorists, they’re being left in this country, bringing in people from Syria, everything else. It’s all part of his plan. It’s his clever caliphate, basically, to turn this country into, you know, something like his Middle Eastern brothers would have, and I hate to say that and it sounds extreme, but it’s gotten worse and worse.”

Jesse Lee Peterson: We're 'Headed For A Race War' And It's Obama’s Fault

Right-wing activist Jesse Lee Peterson joined conservative radio host Rocky D on his show Friday, where he claimed that there’s currently a “race war against white Americans” and blamed President Obama for creating an environment that enabled it.

“We are definitely headed for a race war for sure, and as a matter of fact, the race war against white Americans has been going on for a number of years now, and it’s just that white Americans have not fought back, so a lot of people don’t pay attention to what’s happening,” Peterson said.

On the recent killings of Dallas police officers, Peterson said, “We‘ve got five police officers dead, seven injured, and Barack Obama blames it on the guns. He still says that the justice system was unfair when it comes to race, which is encouraging more hatred and anger in black people toward white folks and especially cops.”

“This environment has been created by the president of the United States of America, can you imagine that?” Peterson remarked.

Peter LaBarbera: Gay Rights Movement Is 'A Liberal Cult' And 'Anti-God'

Last Tuesday on the “Jesse Lee Peterson Radio Show,” Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality told guest host and fellow anti-gay activist Matt Barber that the gay rights movement is “a liberal cult,” “an anti-God movement” and a “sin movement.”

Barber argued that with African-American leaders’ acceptance of gay rights, “secular socialism” has “infested the black community.”

“The blacks are a noble people, certainly, and there are many … Bible-believing Christians who are offended and disgusted by these illegitimate comparisons between mutable, changeable, deviant behaviors, homosexual behavior, and immutable, neutral characteristics such as skin color,” Barber said. He claimed that “black leaders have completely sold out to the radical LGBT lobby and are complicit in making these illegitimate comparisons.”

“Yeah, the sellouts keep growing, Matt,” LaBarbera said. “You know, I sort of see this as a liberal cult, this homosexual revolution. Everybody’s joining it who, you know, who’s basically gotten rid of their Christian understanding of the world. They’ve just rejected God. It’s an anti-God movement. When you would purport to redefine humanity, redefine the rules of humanity, and let’s, you know, people are talking about the transgender issue now, but let’s remember the gay revolution started with transgenders. It was drag queens at that Stonewall bar who started throwing bottles and such at the police. And so we’re in a cult here, it’s a liberal cult, and a lot of corporate America has bent the knee, and many, many people, I think you once said, Matt, you think over half the evangelical Christians will accommodate themselves to this sin movement, and I fear you’re right.”

David Clarke: Trump Slamming 'Mexican' Judge Just Like Saying Obama Is The First Black President

On his radio show June 11, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke defended Donald Trump for accusing Gonzalo Curiel, the U.S.-born judge presiding over the Trump University case, of being biased because he is “Mexican.”

“We do it every day with Barack Obama, the first African-American president,” Clarke said. “We’re pointing out his ethnicity.”

“To me, Barack Obama is the 44th  president of the United States,” Clarke said. “I mean, I look at myself. I refer to myself as an American first, and I happen to be black.” To further defend Trump, Clarke pointed out Mexican is a nationality, not a race.

“What we’ve done in this society, in this hyphenated society that we live in today, everybody is something-hyphen-American,” Clarke said. “German-American, French-American, Asian-American, African-American, Mexican-American. And it’s fine, I’m not against it. But don’t tell me that it’s okay if people wanna use it to their advantage when it suits them, and then when someone else points out, ‘Hey, you’re a Mexican-American, oh, you’re a Mexican,’ that they’re going to get offended by it, that it now becomes a slur? You must be kidding me.”

Daubenmire Criticizes Churches For Embracing Diversity, 'The Devil'

On his “Pass the Salt” program Thursday, Ohio-based Religious Right activist “Coach” Dave Daubenmire criticized Christian churches for supporting LGBT people and people of color, calling diversity “the devil” and a threat to white Christians.

He also distanced Christianity from Judaism, claiming that “Jews without Jesus are lost” and that the [inaccurate] phrase “Judeo-Christian” is used by Christians because they “don’t want to offend the Jews.”

After showing a documentary on the threat of "white genocide", Daubenmire warned that there is a movement afoot to destroy "white, Christian, heterosexual men" because they are the ones who "have spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, and if we can get them silenced, the Gospel is silenced."

Daubenmire blasted Christian churches for their growing acceptance of LGBT people and people of different ethnicities.

“I just saw today on the internet, some big Christian singer — I don’t know who he, don’t know his name ‘cause I don’t follow that stuff — came out as a homo and the Church is embracing him,” Daubenmire said. “Embracing the homo. But see, it’s another minority that we’re being taught to embrace. Now, most of us probably feel a little bit uncomfortable talking about white folks, and that’s what they’ve done to us, see.”

“It’s only the white, Christian, heterosexual male that can save the world,” Daubenmire said, only to immediately correct himself: “We can’t save the world, that was a terrible phrase. We’re the only ones that can contend for Western civilization. We are it.”

“Why are they bringing these Muslims here?” Daubenmire asked. “Wait a minute, why do they hate Trump? It’s a spiritual war raging in front of us, and who is the number one acceptor of diversity? You got it, that big steeple down the road. They bought, again, into the lie of the devil. See, the devil will never come frontal and tell you what he’s gonna do. He comes in like an angel of light. ‘Oh, we’re diverse and we love all people.’”

Daubenmire said the U.S. will be minority white nation by 2050 and warned that with this demographic change, “Judeo-Christian values and principles go out the window. Western civilization — we don’t like to say this —  was founded and settled by white WASPs.”  He cited Europe’s diverse population and London’s Muslim mayor. “It’s coming to a city near you,” he said.

As part of this spiritual war, Daubenmire said, society aims for “the elimination of the white, Christian, heterosexual male, at least his voice, his right to speak.”

Daubenmire also rejected the idea of “Judeo-Christian values,” insisting that people must stop using the term because “it’s white Christians that spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not white Jews. It’s white Christians.”

“We say ‘Judeo-Christian’ because we don’t want to offend the Jews,” Daubenmire argued, again asking himself, “Jews — oh, Lord do I have to say it? Jews without Jesus are lost. They’re lost. They’re just as lost as the Muslims. It’s Christian values. Christ-centered values, not Judeo-Christian values. We understand our roots. We understand the roots of Christianity. We understand that we’ve come out of Judaism. We understand that. We understand that. But we’re not a Judeo-Christian society, we’re a Christian society.”

Manning: Obama Will Stay In Power By Stoking Race War

Notorious Harlem hate pastor James David Manning joined conservative radio host Alex Jones on Wednesday to discuss his theory that President Obama will try to stay in power beyond the end of his second term in office by releasing anti-American, Muslim inmates from prison, who will then serve as his personal Brownshirts.

“Black men that go to prison learn about Islam,” Manning said. “It’s very pervasive in the prisons.”

He claimed that criminal justice reform, which he said will empty the prisons of violent, America-hating criminals, and the remake of the miniseries “Roots,” which Jones criticized for “hyping” slavery even though “everybody’s done it,” will stoke anti-American sentiment and violence.

Manning suggested that the original “Roots” series “stirred the hearts of young men” and “sent men to prison in large numbers” in the 1970s, while Jones said that Obama wants to empty the prisons because he’s making room to imprison “the libertarians, the patriots and the Christians,” and make sure the “Viacom, CIA-run weapons system is activating the Beyoncés and all the rest of the folks to say, ‘Go out and kill the pigs.’”

He said that while “most Americans are locked and loaded” to deal with violent criminals released from prison, these felons will become Obama’s Brownshirt-like paramilitary. “I just can’t imagine Obama walking away from power,” Manning said.

This personal army and race war will give Obama the means and justification, respectively, to stay in office, he said.

“Why should he walk away and say, ‘Well, I had my eight years’?” Manning said. “He’s gonna try something, he’s going to. He’s already put it in the works. I mean, remember, Obama is CIA, understand that he is a compadre with Putin in Russia, he’s not gonna walk away from world power. He just isn’t going to do it. And anybody who thinks that he does — now, I’m all for Trump, hey, you know I am, I’m all in on Trump — but anybody who thinks that Obama’s gonna walk away from power, you’re not thinking. You just aren’t thinking.”

Dave Daubenmire: White, Heterosexual Christians Are The Only Hope For America

Ohio Religious Right activist “Coach” Dave Daubenmire posted a video message this morning declaring that Satan is out to destroy white, heterosexual Christian males because they represent the only hope for saving America.

“The attack that’s going on in America today is against the white, heterosexual male,” he said. “That’s the battle. If Satan can get control of the family, if they can get the white, heterosexual male removed from the scene, if they can get him ‘de-balled,’ if I will, if they can do that, there is nothing to hold back the forces of darkness in America.”

“It’s not racist, it’s the truth,” he added.

Daubenmire then argued that the war on poverty caused fatherless African-American households because the government became the parent. Now, he said, the government's “sights are set on the white, heterosexual male.”

He declared that there are “forces of darkness that are working to overthrow this nation and overthrow this world on behalf of the prince of the power of the air, the prince of darkness.” To control the world, Daubenmire argued, these forces will first have to defeat white, heterosexual, Christian American males.

Daubenmire then asked why Syrian refugees are not being sent to Africa instead of the U.S. and determined that it is “because America, at one time, was a white, heterosexual Christian country, the greatest country the world has ever seen.” He concluded by reassuring viewers that “this battle is real.”

'Hail Emperor Trump!' White Nationalists Take Victory Lap Following Trump Win

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has been energizing and electrifying white supremacists, and their excitement is hitting new highs now that he is clearly the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee.

The neo-Nazi site Daily Stormer, which endorsed Trump two weeks after his immigrant-disparaging campaign launch, is filled with posts celebrating the GOP candidate’s victory this morning. “White men in America and across the planet are partying like it’s 1999 following Trump’s decisive victory over the evil enemies of our race,” says one post, which also celebrates that “[t]he Jews are in full-on freak-out mode.”

The site is also promoting a video parody in which Trump and other political figures are spliced into clips from the movie “300” and Trump is portrayed as “leading an army of the White race against the barbarian hordes.” Daily Stormer is also glad that Trump helped move his ally Alex Jones from “tinfoil goofiness” and into “nationalism.”

White nationalist Richard Spencer’s Twitter feed is similarly filled with celebratory gloating.

White nationalist leader Matthew Heimbach, chair of the pro-Trump Traditionalist Worker Party, recently celebrated Trump for having gone “full ‘America First’ for his foreign policy plan.” On his Daily Traditionalist show on Radio Aryan this morning, Heimbach and co-host Sven Longshanks praised the way Trump’s campaign has “opened up so much political space for nationalists” and made it easier for people in both the U.S. and Europe to say things that were previously impossible to say in public discourse.

Heimbach said Trump’s campaign has also helped his Traditionalist Worker Party’s organizing because areas in which Trump does well provide fertile ground for recruiting. There’s a need for long-term organizing, he said, and while Trump takes the beachhead, nationalists will provide the reinforcements.

The fires of nationalism, the fires of identity, the fires of anger against the corrupt establishment are arising all around Europe, all around America, all around the entire world. So we just need to strap in, because the future is gonna definitely be interesting, and I believe we could have a switch in our direction even more…Hail, Emperor Trump! And hail, victory!

The white nationalist website VDARE leads with an article by James Kirkpatrick celebrating the meltdown of the conservative “establishment” and the conversion of the Republican Party into a nationalist party. A few days earlier, after Trump’s wins in the so-called “Acela primaries,” Kirkpatrick declared that Trump “is creating a new opportunity for the American Right, which either needs to embrace nationalism and identity policies or suffer slow extinction in a Third World America.”

Trump Wins Support of White Nationalist Youth Leader

I recently wrote about the ways that Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has energized white nationalist activists and helped white supremacist groups and media with recruiting and fundraising. One of the people quoted in my Huffington Post story is 24-year-old white nationalist activist Matthew Heimbach.

Heimbach first made waves when he founded the White Student Union at Towson University and he is now a leader of the Traditionalist Worker Party. An Al Jazeera profile of Heimbach last year was titled “The Little Führer.”

Now Heimbach has turned up in another story that exemplifies why so many people are afraid of the forces being unleashed by the bigotry and bullying of Trump’s campaign.

“White supremacists hurled racist and sexist slurs Tuesday afternoon as they pushed a black protester out of a Donald Trump rally in Kentucky,” reports Raw Story. Video shows Trump supporters violently shoving a black protester, including a screaming man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

In the New York Daily News, Shaun King reported that the man seen shoving and cursing at the Louisville rally appeared to be Heimbach. For him and others wearing the same Traditionalist Worker Party t-shirts, writes King, “a Trump rally is a white power rally.”

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Chanelle Helm, a protester and respected activist who attended the rally, said that she and others were not just spat on, but were cursed at and demeaned repeatedly by Trump supporters.

She distinctly remembered one disturbing chant, which was lead by the white supremacists, "You're scum, your time will come. You're scum, your time will come."

Heimbach confirmed in a post on the website of the Traditionalist Youth Network that he is the person in the video, but he blamed Black Lives Matter protesters for the melee.  “I’ll avoid any additional Trump events to ensure that I don’t become a distraction,” he wrote, “but the entire point of the BLM’s tactics is to push people until they push back. It won’t be me next time, but White Americans are getting fed up and they’re learning that they must either push back or be pushed down.”

Before Trump arrived on the scene, Heimbach wasn’t really interested in politics. In fact, he told Al Jazeera last year, “The American system is the enemy.” He believes the country should be divided into racially homogenous enclaves. But then, Heimbach told the Washington Post, Trump started talking. “This is the first time since Buchanan in the ’90s and George Wallace in ’68 where you have a guy outside the mainstream speaking to white interests.”

Trump, says Heimbach, “has opened this floodgate that I don’t think can be restrained regardless of what happens in the 2016 elections.”

Donald Trump Grows More Toxic By the Day

Donald Trump began his campaign for the presidency with incendiary remarks about immigrants, and he has not let up. During his first speech as a candidate, Trump stated "when Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. …  They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists.” Despite the backlash to his comments, Trump has doubled down on his extremist views on immigration. In an interview with NBC, Trump said “there's nothing to apologize for” and added that any immigration policy less strict than his own would “let everybody come in… killers, criminals, drug dealers.”

Now, companies are responding by severing ties with Trump. Univision pulled out of its contract to broadcast Trump’s Miss USA pageant and NBC cut all ties with Trump, dropping not only the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, but also Trump’s role in Celebrity Apprentice. With this list continuing to grow, one organization is conspicuously missing: the Republican National Committee.

PFAW’s partners at the Latino Victory Project are calling on RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and the Republican Party to renounce Trump as a candidate for the Republican nomination for President. With the Republican Party claiming that they are committed to strengthening ties with the Latino and immigrant communities, surely it is time for the RNC to reject a candidate who makes such hateful and racist remarks.

Meet The Republican Candidates Who Have Defended The Confederate Flag

Following the murder of nine people in an apparent hate crime in a historically black church in Charleston, South Carolina, on Wednesday night, many Americans, including prominent political figures, are calling for South Carolina to remove the Confederate flag from the North side of the state’s capital building. Gov. Nikki Haley, who defended the flag during her campaign for reelection last year and supported its placement because business leaders had not complained to her about its posting, said today that “the state will start talking about” the flag issue again following the shooting.

The following Republican presidential hopefuls have voiced their support for the Confederate flag to remain on government buildings and public property.

Lindsey Graham

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina came to the defense of the South Carolina Confederate flag display yesterday, describing it as an integral “part of who we are”

While Graham did admit to CNN that the flag has been “used in a racist way” in the past, he argued that “the problems we have in south Carolina and the world are not because of a movie or a symbol, it’s about what’s in people’s heart.”

He added that South Carolina’s “compromise” of having both a Confederate War memorial and an African American memorial at the state capitol “works.”

Mike Huckabee

Hoping to mobilize white evangelical voters against Republican “establishment” candidates in 2008, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee demanded his fellow candidates stop asking for the removal of the Confederate flag from government offices.

Huckabee had this to say: “You don’t like people from outside the state coming in and telling you what to do with your flag…if somebody came to Arkansas and told us what to do with our flag, we’d tell them what to do with the pole. That’s what we’d do.”

Rick Perry

During his last presidential campaign, Rick Perry came under scrutiny for his efforts to oppose the removal of the Confederate flag from display at the statehouse when he was lieutenant governor of Texas. In a March, 2000 letter to the Sons of Confederate Veterans obtained by the Associated Press, Perry wrote, “Although this is an emotional issue, I want you to know that I oppose efforts to remove Confederate monuments, plaques and memorials from public property.”

However, Perry seems to have begun to rethink his stance on Confederate symbols. In 2011, he opposed an effort to create Confederate flag license plates, and in an interview on Newsmax’s The Steve Malzberg Show this week Perry voiced his agreement with critics of the flag that “we need to be looking at these issues as ways to bring the country together. And if these are issues that are pushing us apart, then maybe there’s a good conversation that needs to be had about [it].”

Fundraiser for Steve “David Duke Without the Baggage” Scalise Met with Protestors

PFAW members and other local activists lined the sidewalk outside of the National Republican Club Tuesday afternoon to protest a fundraiser event for House Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

Scalise, who was elected Majority Whip by his Republican colleagues back in June, has come under fire recently after it came to light that in 2002, he gave a speech to a white supremacist group affiliated with former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Scalise even has referred to himself as “David Duke without the baggage.”

Incredibly, even after these revelations, the Republican caucus—including Speaker John Boehner – is standing by Scalise. And Scalise certainly doesn’t seem to think this scandal is reason to slow down his fundraising efforts, as evidenced by the meeting his team held with donors on Tuesday, where PFAW members joined protestors from other organizations including Color of Change and Jewish advocacy group Bend the Arc.

It’s hard to believe that the GOP, which has struggled so much to reach minority voters, isn’t distancing itself from party leadership with ties to white supremacists. Republicans need to be held accountable – we need to ask our Republican representatives in Congress whether, in 2015, they are brave enough to take a stand against racism.

Thousands of PFAW members have already signed the petition calling on Speaker Boehner to remove Scalise from his leadership position. Add your name now.

William Gheen Defends Don Sterling: 'I'm More Worried About The Black Mobs'

Yesterday, William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC posted on his website a long, indignant letter to the Southern Poverty Law Center on his website, blasting the SPLC for listing his organization as a hate group, and especially bristling at any suggestion that any of his activism is motivated by racism. “No evidence exists that anyone in our organization has ever engaged in racism, hate, or violence against minorities,” he insisted. WorldNetDaily joined Gheen’s cause, quoting his letter in a fawning report later that day.

So, of course it comes as no surprise that the very same day that Gheen was on a crusade to clear his name from charges of leading a hate group, he also took the time to post on Facebook a defense of Los Angeles Clippers owner Don Sterling’s racist remarks and reported history of racial discrimination, claiming that the “black mobs” he imagines “hunting white people” across the nation are the real thing keeping the country from racial “equality.”

“I’m more worried about the new black mobs roaming many US cities targeting and beating the crap out of white people playing the Polar Bear/Knockout game than some rich old guy’s insensitive, yet 1st amendment protected, comments to his girlfriend in a private phone conversation that would be illegal to record in most states!” Gheen vented. “White guy makes a comment on the phone about blacks and the media goes crazy and everyone is out to destroy him. Black mobs form across the nation hunting white people and the media helps conceal the atrocities. Equality? Don’t think so.”

Then, for good measure, Gheen reposted his thoughts on the page of the conspiracy-theory site InfoWars.

We've frequently noted how remarkable it is that Gheen, an unhinged fringe extremist, continues to have something of a presence in the right-wing media and the GOP. For example, today, Gheen announced that he was endorsing five more candidates for Congress who had courted his favor by filling out his candidate survey, including U.S. Senate candidates Mark Callahan of Oregon and Stace Nelson of South Dakota. They join U.S. Senate candidates Matt Bevin of Kentucky, Rob Maness of LouisianaGreg Brannon of North Carolina and Lee Bright of South Carolina, who have all successfully courted Gheen’s endorsement.

Duck the Halls: The Religious Right's Own War on Christmas

If you’re already tired of the Duck Dynasty flap, I have some bad news for you: Religious Right leaders aren’t going to drop it. On Christmas Eve, while millions of Americans were finishing Christmas preparations and gathering with loved ones, Janet Porter and Rick Scarborough were holding an emergency conference call to launch Porter’s latest gimmicky scheme: sending rubber ducks to A&E executives to protest the suspension of Phil Robertson.

Porter has been warning about a war on American Christians for years – she even wrote a book called The Criminalization of Christianity.  So she clearly sees this as her (current) last chance to save America.  Faith2Action has launched a website MailTheDuck.com, at which you can hand over your contact information to Porter so that she can send a postcard on your behalf to Nancy Dubuq, CEO of A&E Networks, declaring “You Can’t Camouflage Anti-Christian Bigotry!” The postcard demands an apology and warns of a boycott until Robertson is reinstated.  You can also fork over some cash if you want to send a rubber duck or ten to A&E to be sure they get the message.

The opening image of the website is, unfortunately, a big lie. It’s a picture of Robertson with the word FIRED stamped across it. In fact, Robertson hasn’t been fired for making offensive comments in a magazine interview, just suspended. Americans who have wanted to get their Duck on this week have been able to watch a Duck Dynasty marathon. Even WND, in its story on the project, notes: “According to Entertainment Weekly, sources close to the show report nine of the 10 remaining episodes of season four have already been shot, and the network has no plans to cut out the footage featuring the senior Robertson.”

But on the conference call Porter and Scarborough had with activists, freedom was hanging by a thread. Robertson’s suspension is “an atrocity,” “an attack on religious liberty” and an effort to “shut down Christians.” Faith itself is at risk of “being declared unlawful.” Porter even compared Robertson to the famous Chinese activist who stood in front of a tank (yeah, that’s just the kind of risk Robertson took by spouting off to GQ magazine). Porter says Americans can courageously stand with Robertson by sending  millions of ducks (probably made in China, come to think of it) to A&E.

Porter mentioned that she is working on a documentary about anti-Christian persecution. A caller who described herself as a former lesbian urged Porter to include the story of Lisa Miller, the woman who became a far-right folk hero when she kidnapped her child and fled the country rather than obeying court ordered custody arrangements involving Miller’s former partner.  Porter said Miller’s story is part of her film project.

Back to the ducks.  In addition to Scarborough’s Vision America, Porter’s new project is being cosponsored by the dominionist Oak Initiative (Porter is a board member) and by Liberty Counsel, the Religious Right legal group that used to represent Lisa Miller. Of course, Porter and Scarborough aren’t the only ones trying to cash in on the Duck Dynasty controversy. Among those who have launched  petitions are the National Organization for Marriage and Mike Huckabee.  Huckabee and Porter are longtime allies; she declared his 2008 presidential candidacy anointed by God.

WND Wants You to Know that You're Racist for Thinking a Story on 'Black Mob Violence' is Racist

WorldNetDaily – incubator of birtherism and new professional home of Rick Santorum – published a story earlier this week titled  “Beach Week’ Draws Black Crowd – And Violence.” The content of the story is about what you’d expect, especially since it’s written by an author who seems to specialize in reporting on what he calls “black mob violence.” This led us to notice that each of the author’s stories on the subject is prefaced by this remarkable editorial note:

(Editor’s note: Colin Flaherty has done more reporting than any other journalist on what appears to be a nationwide trend of skyrocketing black-on-white crime, violence and abuse. WND features these reports to counterbalance the virtual blackout by the rest of the media due to their concerns that reporting such incidents would be inflammatory or even racist. WND considers it racist not to report racial abuse solely because of the skin color of the perpetrators or victims.)

This strategy – preemptive denial of racism in clearly racist content – was previously perfected by Matt Drudge.
