Cost

Some critics of the Holt legislation have questioned whether it would cost too much money. We believe that such concerns have been overstated. Much of the technology the bill requires is relatively affordable, and the legislation authorizes over $1 billion in federal funding to offset anticipated costs to state and local governments.
