Tea Party Nation Now Promoting Operation American Spring

Operation American Spring, the far-right, militia-aligned group that’s planning a pro-coup rally next month to force President Obama out of office by shutting down Washington D.C., got a shout-out this week from Tea Party Nation.

TPN head Judson Phillips emailed members a column — “Declaring War on Americans” — by Alan Caruba, in which he applauds the militias defending the Cliven Bundy ranch and plugs Operation American Spring, while hinting that the demonstration may provoke a violent response from the government.

I love the notion that Cliven Bundy lives in Bunkerville. It reminded me of Bunker Hill and you know how badly that eventually turned out for the British in 1775. What ensued was a guerrilla war led by George Washington that defeated the most powerful nation of its time. There is no way a militia with small arms can defeat the kind of arms the U.S. government can bring to bear on such a battle, but one has to admire the courage of those people who showed up to confront them. That’s quintessentially American!

I don’t think the BLM response to Bundy was exclusive to the agency. That decision needed to be sent up the line as far as the White House. Indeed, it was likely initiated by the White House.

All tyrannies over-reach at some point and we are seeing that occur in the White House. The nation is fortunate to have the House controlled by Republicans and now needs a Senate as well in order to dispense some much needed justice on behalf of Americans.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the White House responds to the May 16th “Operation American Spring” being organized to bring a million or more to Washington, D.C. to participate in an event that will demonstrate the breadth of the unhappiness that has spread since Obama’s first election and is gaining momentum since his second.

This isn’t the first time the Tea Party group has promoted Operation American Spring.

Back in January, the group emailed members an invitation to participate in the May 16 event, saying that non-peaceful means are on the table in their anti-Obama campaign.

Gen. Paul Vallely of Stand Up America US, who is also helping to spearhead "Operation American Spring" beginning May 16th in DC, has suggested that to counter Obama's imperious overreaching that Congress should tender a vote of "no-confidence" against him.

Going forward, the most compelling remedial grassroots action we should all get solidly behind is, of course, "Operation American Spring" which will be launched in earnest on May 16th. I urge readers to check it out on the Patriots for America site. You have the option of participating in the protracted occupation or volunteering your services and talents in support of the operation.

Finally and very importantly, if all of these peaceful remedies fail to achieve our constitutional goals, then ALL other remedies sanctioned by our Founders and "natural law" must necessarily be relied upon by the American people. Let the Founders ALWAYS be our guide.

Need for Safe Schools Advocacy Clear in Nebraska

The flier, whose advice includes "do not tell on bullies," is indeed problematic, but it's district policy in Lincoln and state policy in Nebraska that offer real cause for concern. Neither employs the bullying and harassment prevention strategies that have proven most effective. In fact, only sixteen states and the District of Columbia have in place laws that enumerate specific categories of targeted students, "underscore[ing] those students who research shows are most likely to be bullied and harassed and least likely to be protected."

Alan Keyes Likens Nevada Rancher To Rosa Parks, Claims Obama Wants 'The Worst Kind Of War'

Writing today in WorldNetDaily, Alan Keyes hails Cliven Bundy as a modern-day Rosa Parks, saluting the rancher and his allied militia members for their stand against President Obama’s attempt to “crush the spirit of American liberty.”

Unsurprisingly, Keyes isn’t be the first right-wing activist to compare Bundy to the late civil rights hero.

Keyes hales Bundy – who refused to pay grazing fees for over twenty years before launching an armed standoff with the Bureau of Land Management – for blocking the “Obama faction’s totalitarian socialist agenda” and its attempt “to assert pharaoh-like national ownership of much of the economically valuable land in America.”

“[T]hanks to the Obama faction’s bullying, the specter of the worst kind of war looms over our nation’s future,” Keyes writes.

The dispute over their grazing rights on land administered by the federal government brought the Bundy family into tense confrontation with the Obama faction. Obama and his cohorts intended to make an example of the Bundy family, one that would discourage all Americans tempted to stand on their rights from doing so. But what was supposed to be a spectacular execution, striking fear into the heart of Americans who still think they live in the land of the free, has instead demonstrated the fact that at least some Americans have gone beyond thinking. They have taken action.

Following the example of previous generations of Americans, they formed a 21st-century instance of one of the committees of correspondence, which were the backbone of America’s resistance to the intended tyranny of the British government in the run up to America’s war for independence. Instead of the prospect of an intimidating victory over one isolated, vulnerable family, the Obama faction faced the common resolve of an organized community of citizens asserting their right to self-government.

It was supposed to be a chilling exercise of factional dominance. Instead it was shaping up to be a Rosa Parks episode, likely to serve as the byword for inspiring citizens throughout the nation to act on what it means to be American. Worse still from the would-be tyrants’ viewpoint, the Obama faction would come off looking like the bullies they most certainly are, arrogantly drawing first blood in their bid to crush the spirit of American liberty.

Of course, the actual intention of the U.S. government’s delegated land-management role is of no importance to Obama and his minions. Their aim is to “nationalize” the land, using whatever legal pretext is available. As an excuse, they look for some legalistic pretext for asserting ownership the U.S. government was never intended to possess, along with the power to determine how land is used without any regard for what is fair to local interests and good stewardship of the land. What is happening in Nevada is just a foretaste of things to come, as proposals move forward that will have the effective of allowing the Obama faction to assert pharaoh-like national ownership of much of the economically valuable land in America.

This is proof of the Obama faction’s totalitarian socialist agenda. But it also signals that a form of government is being imposed on the nation in which the government’s power is not constrained by respect for the rights of the people, as individuals or as a whole. Instead it is being deployed with the collusion of elected officials who serve as the focal points of factional dictatorship; lords, as it were, in an oligarchic regime that is no longer supposed to represent the people who “elected” them.

Now, in the first two decades of the 21st century, we are acquiescing in a sham electoral process wherein outcomes, transparently dictated by that same elitist faction, are producing an overall administration of government intended to entrench the elitist faction’s power by completing the destruction of the material strength and rights of the people, including of course the right of self-government at all levels, which is true liberty.

Supported by like-minded patriots in their community, the Bundy family is taking a stand for that true liberty. Their action points to the fact that there are many Americans with the character and courage to stand against the would-be tyrants’ abuse of government power, despite the threat of mayhem. It also confirms the fact that, thanks to the Obama faction’s bullying, the specter of the worst kind of war looms over our nation’s future. We could surely avoid it if the GOP’s leadership was as committed to the defense of liberty as the Bundy family has shown itself to be.

Irony Alert: Beck Tells Candidates They Had 'Better Learn About Who The People Are You're Standing Next To'

On yesterday's radio program, Glenn Beck interviewed Shane Osborn and Ben Sasse, both of whom are running for the Senate in Nebraska.  The interview with Osborn was rather awkward from the get-go as Freedomworks, which has deep ties to Beck and his network, had initially endorsed him only to rescind its endorsement and support Sasse instead after Beck heaped praise upon him.

Near the end of the conversation, Osborn mentioned that he would be holding a town hall later that night with Grover Norquist, apparently unaware that Beck absolutely loathes Norquist.  The revelation did not go unnoticed by Beck, who returned from a commercial break following the interview to question Osborn's judgment for associating with someone like Norquist.

"Grover Norquist is truly one of the most dangerous men supposedly on our side," Beck said. "He, I believe, is the George Soros shadowy figure who is not who you think he is."

When co-host Pat Gray tried to play devil's advocate and defend Osborn by saying maybe he only knew about Norquist's anti-tax efforts and not all of the other "dangerous" stuff Norquist is supposedly doing, Beck wasn't swayed.

"You're a senator," Beck said of Osborn. "It's your job to learn about these things, if that's your job. If you're going to be a senator, you had better learn about who the people are you're standing next to! It's your responsibility:"

We would like to point out that Glenn Beck regularly welcomes various congressional candidates onto his radio program, as well as several sitting members of Congress, including Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

So allow us to, for once, agree with Beck and say to all of those candidates who are eagerly lining up to stand next to him: "You had better learn about who the people are you're standing next to! It's your responsibility."

Nevada GOPer Claims Republicans Can Win Young Voters By Embracing Party's 'Pat Robertson Wing'

Upset that the Nevada Republican Party recently voted to remove anti-choice, anti-gay language from its official platform, GOP state assemblyman Ira Hansen took to The Janet Mefferd Show yesterday to argue that the party made a grave mistake in avoiding such social issues.

Hansen said that Republicans are failing to win support from young voters because they are “being alienated partially because of this absence of values.” He argued that Republicans could win support from new voters by embracing the “Pat Robertson wing” of the party.

That’s right, Hansen thinks the GOP politicians would become more competitive among youth if they were only more like Pat Robertson.

We don’t see that younger recruitment into the party. I think they are actually being alienated partially by this absence of values. I also think as people get older, they lose some of their drive to fight, I think that’s even true of the pro-life, traditional marriage type crowd. I think they are basically not just shell-shocked but there’s like — you know what, I’ve been fighting this twenty, thirty years; me, I’ve been involved in the Republican Party virtually since I was eighteen, going back to the Reagan era. But I’d probably say in Nevada you still see a big strong element going back to the Pat Robertson campaign in 1988, and that was when there was a huge fight here in Nevada between the Rockefeller wing of the party, as I call them, and the Pat Robertson wing. And with time the Robertson wing won and you had these social issues openly adopted by the Republican Party. And, by the way, in the ‘90s and 2000s, the Republican Party actually did very, very well in Nevada with those in the platform.

Matt Barber's Campaign In Hypocrisy: There Should Be 'No Debate' On Homosexuality And Faith

If a gay rights supporter were to launch a petition demanding that a publishing house drop its publication of a book opposing marriage equality, you could imagine that Liberty Counsel’s Matt Barber would be the first to accuse the “intolerant” “homofascists” of trying to “shut down debate.”

Barber, after all, has denounced the Southern Poverty Law Center’s decision to classify some anti-gay groups as “hate groups,” accusing them of an “Orwellian censorship crusade”; dubbed the campaign to pressure advertisers to end their sponsorship of Rush Limbaugh’s radio show an “assault on free speech”; and attacked GLAAD for setting up a website that simply lists quotes from anti-gay activists, which he called a “censorship” project “reminiscent of the former Soviet Union.”

Despite such hyperbolic rhetoric on the menace of gay “censorship,” Barber himself is now embarking on a campaign to stop a publishing house with evangelical ties from printing a book on Christianity and homosexuality by Matthew Vines, a young United Methodist whose 2012 lecture on Christianity and same-sex relationships went viral.

Barber is upset that Vines’ God and the Gay Christian will be published by Convergent Books, which he claims is a front for the evangelical publisher WaterBrook Multnomah.

Stephen Cobb, WORLD Magazine notes, “heads up both WaterBrook Multnomah and Convergent out of the publishing group’s Colorado Springs, Colo., offices,” and both companies are divisions of Penguin Random House. Since WaterBrook Multnomah describes itself as “the evangelical division of Penguin Random House,” Barber claims that the Cobb is aiding an “apostate enterprise” by publishing Vines’ book.

In an appearance yesterday on The Janet Mefferd Show, Barber said that he is attacking Cobb and Vines out of concern for their eternal salvation. Responding to a statement from Cobb, who defended Vines as a “bold, young, evangelical writer whose first calling is to promote a civil, loving, and biblically based conversation on the subject,” Barber said that the book shouldn’t have been published since there is “no debate” on the subject to be had.

Barber: I’m not out to get Steve Cobb, I’m not out to get Matthew Vines, I’m sure he’s a nice kid, he’s misguided, he’s under deception, it’s sad and I fear for both of them. You know we’re all going to stand before God but if they’re unrepentant in this kind of sinful activity, either homosexual behavior or intentionally misleading and deceiving the Christian public, I think that they’ve got some ’splaining to do.

Mefferd: Very much so.

Mefferd: What about the ‘biblically based conversation’? That’s implying that it’s orthodox.

Barber: That’s right and that’s also implying that there is somehow even ‘a there there,’ that there is a discussion to have, that this is even debatable. There is no debate. Scripture is unequivocal, unambiguous throughout both the old and new testaments in addressing the sin of homosexual conduct, as well as other sexual sins, so there’s no debate.

The case is reminiscent of the controversy over the CGBG online marketplace, in which a gay rights group called on companies to cut ties with CGBG because it directs proceeds to anti-gay groups including Liberty Counsel, Family Research Council and Focus on the Family.

Barber condemned the CGBG boycott and called the effort proof that “radical, militant” gays want to put Christians “behind bars.”

As we noted at the time, Barber had endorsed a boycott of McDonalds and led a pro-boycott rally outside of its corporate headquarters because the company had partnered with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

"Unfortunately, McDonalds has chosen to side with militant homosexual activists over people with traditional values," said Matt Barber. "The company has further escalated the controversy by lodging a personal attack against the tens of millions of Americans who support traditional sexual morality and legitimate marriage. While referring to Christians and other people with traditional values, McDonalds spokesman Bill Whitman arrogantly told the Washington Post that, 'Hatred has no place in our culture,' thereby suggesting that people who support the historical definition of marriage are simply motivated by 'hate.' This insult is highly offensive, and anyone who supports traditional marriage should boycott McDonalds and tell the company why they’re doing so." (emphasis added)

Liberty Counsel has also backed a boycott of Starbucks over its support for marriage equality and applauded a pressure campaign on companies to pull their advertisements from the TLC show “All-American Muslim.”

But if any gay rights supporter were to dare employ the exact same tactics used by Barber and Liberty Counsel, you can bet that Barber would be the first to attack them as totalitarian fascists who hate freedom.

Steve Malzberg Says Chelsea Clinton's Pregnancy Was Deliberately Timed To Benefit Hillary's Presidential Campaign

Yesterday, Chelsea Clinton announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child, which also means that Bill and Hillary Clinton will be welcoming their first grandchild right as the former Secretary of State begins her anticipated run for the White House.

And this is all just too much of a coincidence for Newsmax host Steve Malzberg, who went off yesterday speculating that Chelsea's pregnancy was intentionally timed to benefit her mother's presidential campaign.

Pointing to an interview Chelsea gave to Glamour Magazine last year in which she said that she and her husband had "decided we were going to make 2014 the Year of the Baby, and please, call my mother and tell her that. She asks us about it every single day," Malzberg concluded that Bill and Hillary were pressuring Chelsea to get pregnant at a time that would benefit her campaign.

"Pardon the skeptic in me," Malzberg said, "but what great timing! I mean, purely accidental, purely an act of nature, purely just left up to God. And God answered Hillary Clinton's prayers and she going to have the prop of being a new grandma while she runs for president. It just warms the heart. It brings a tear to my eye. It really does. Wow!"

Todd Starnes Claims University Is Pushing 'Ethnic Cleansing' Of White People

Fox News commentator Todd Starnes is outraged by the president of Western Washington University’s deliberately provocative comment, which he has made at each of the school’s past six opening convocations, that “if we are as white in ten years as we are today, Western will have failed as a university.”

The president, Bruce Shepard, was referring to the fact that even though Western is a public university, its student body is disproportionately white compared to Washington state’s racial and ethnic composition and that diversity will improve students’ educational experience.

In his daily radio bulletin yesterday, Starnes said that Shepard’s statement is in fact a sign the university is embarking on an “ethnic cleansing” of white people.

Cal Thomas Says Public Schools Are 'The Enemy's Re-Education Camps,' Evolution Will Kill Seniors And People With Disabilities

After warning that marriage equality for gays and lesbians will destroy America, conservative columnist Cal Thomas told Daystar on Monday that public schools are instruments of “the enemy” and warned that Obamacare and the belief in evolution will lead to the deaths of senior citizens.

“Don’t put your children in the enemy’s re-education camps where they’re taught they evolved from slime and their nearest relative is down at the zoo and that’s why they like bananas on their cereal, and where they don’t learn the real history of America,” Thomas said before charging that the “government education system” is state-imposed Unitarianism that unfairly demonizes the Pilgrims as people who “hated the Indians and deprived them of their land.”

Later in the interview, Thomas said the theory of evolution will inevitably lead to the murder of “the elderly and then, soon after that, the handicapped, the unwanted, the mentally unfit and the rest” while Obamacare will establish death panels that will decide “who gets care” based in part on “how much you’re contributing to the tax base.”

“I spent a lot of time in the UK and I studied the NHS and I hear these horror stories. This is coming to America. You’re going to have — now Sarah Palin called them death panels, the left didn’t like that— but there will be bureaucrats deciding who gets care, who gets surgery and who doesn’t based on your age, the cost of the procedure and a lot of other factors, how much you’re contributing to the tax base,” he said.

“It’s coming and the reason it’s coming is we’ve devalued human life among the unborn. It will now be attacked at the other end of life among the elderly and then soon after that the handicapped, the unwanted, the mentally unfit and the rest because once you decide that we’re evolutionary accidents, we weren’t created in the image and likeness of an objectively existing God who endows us with a right to life, then all bets are off.”

Host Joni Lamb then asked Thomas and Ralph Reed, the head of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, “Twenty years ago, could you have ever imagined that America would have deteriorated in its moral values to the degree that we have here in 2014?”

“No, I would never have thought that it was possible,” Reed responded.

But Thomas said that Jesus “foresaw everything that was to come,” including the apparent collapse of America.

Cal Thomas Warns Gay Marriage Is A Bigger Threat Than Islamic Extremists, Will Lead To Child Marriage

In an appearance Monday on the Christian televangelist network Daystar, conservative commentator Cal Thomas warned that the legalization of same-sex marriage undermines “all of human history” and poses a greater threat to America than Islamic extremists.

Responding to a question about “what can be done about the federal judges that override the majority of voters on marriage,” Thomas responded with apocalyptic warnings.

“Look at Mesopotamia. Look at the Roman Empire, which collapsed from within through moral impurity before they were conquered from without. And that’s my great fear. I don’t fear the Russians or the fundamentalist Muslims as much as I fear ourselves. We are committing moral suicide in this country: 55 million dead babies through abortion and counting, we’re mainstreaming same-sex marriage and the polygamists are right behind,” he said.

“You have the people who believe in adult-child marriage, they already do this in certain Muslim countries, these people want the rights as an adult to marry a child,” he added. “So all I’m asking, and what I do in debates is say, if the line has shifted now and we accept same-sex marriage, where would you then draw the line and on what basis? It’s all about the polls, feelings and the culture at the time, it’s not about established truth and real history.”

Allen West Takes To Fox News To Attack Muslim-Americans For Voting, Engaging In Politics

Allen West joined Fox News hosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Steve Doocy today to warn that the Muslim Brotherhood is establishing itself as a US political party as part of its goal to destroy America.

The notoriously Islamophobic former congressman told Fox News that the formation of the US Council of Muslim Organizations, which was recently established to increase Muslim-American political and community engagement, is in fact creating a Muslim Brotherhood-aligned “political party.”

Hasselbeck introduced the segment by speculating that voters will soon have “Muslim Brotherhood” as an option on the ballot, while Doocy feared that the US Council of Muslim Organizations is trying “to wage jihad from within.”

West attacked Muslim-American groups for purported connections to the Holy Land Foundation trial. As we have noted, “in 2010, a federal judge found that prosecutors had violated the Fifth Amendment rights of a number of American Islamic groups by naming them in connection with the trial.”

Hasselbeck: When you head into the voting booth, what do you see on that ballot? Democrat, Republican…Muslim Brotherhood? We are one step closer to that reality, according to our next guest.

Doocy: Our next guest says radical Islamists are busy building a voting bloc to sneak their political agenda into the American system, their goal to wage jihad from within. Retired Army Lt. Col. Allen West is a Fox News contributor joins us today from Boynton Beach, Florida.

West: Good morning, how are you doing Steve and Elisabeth?

Doocy: We’re doing okay now until we’re going to find out about what you’re suggesting is going on in American politics, tell us about this.

West: Well you have the formulation of the US Council of Muslim Organizations and it’s very disconcerting because back in 1991 there was a document that was written and it was called the explanatory memorandum for the strategic goal of the group or the Brotherhood in North America, and during an FBI raid in 2007 in Northern Virginia this document was uncovered, translated into English and we’ve come to find out it’s the blueprint, the campaign strategy for the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States of America.

The groups that are forming this new Council of Muslim Organizations like CAIR, the Council for [sic] American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim American Society, the Islamic Society of North America, all of them have ties back to the Muslim Brotherhood. As a matter of fact, CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist funding case, the Holy Land Foundation case, in the United States of America. Recently, CAIR has gone out and protested against the documentary ‘The Honor Diaries’ being shown and campaigned heavily against Ayaan Hirsi Ali at Brandeis University to get that honorary degree. But now they are forming some type of political party, a voting bloc—

Doocy: In this country.

West: That’s right, to institutionalize policies that favor them.

Beck: Matt Bevin Is A 'Founder Quality' Candidate Who Has 'Been Called By God'

On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck warned that if Sen. Mitch McConnell is re-elected, organizations such as his The Blaze or Breitbart.com will not be allowed to operate as independent media outlets and Tea Party groups will find themselves being targeted by the IRS in retribution.

Beck asserted that Comcast is refusing to carry his The Blaze network because of political pressure from people like McConnell before warning that if he gets re-elected, he will use to IRS to decimate all those Tea Party groups and media outlets who supported his opponent Matt Bevin, whom Beck declared to be a "Founder quality" man who has "been called by God."

Bevin, Beck said, is "a guy I really, truly believe has been called by God. I really do. I met that guy and I was talking to him and I was like 'oh my gosh.' I mean, the Spirit jumps off of that guy. He's Founder quality and I'm talking to him and he left the room and I looked at Pat and I said 'do you feel that?' and he said 'oh yeah.' I said 'that guy's called from God.' This is a guy we prayed for":

Birther Leader Joseph Farah Freaks Out After Obama Makes Birth Certificate Joke

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah was at the forefront of the birther movement for several years until he suddenly denied ever playing a role in it when he realized that his central claim — that President Obama was born abroad rather than Hawaii and therefore is ineligible to be president — could haunt the presidential ambitions of the Canadian-born Ted Cruz.

But Obama’s joke about the “crazy” birther movement in a speech at the National Action Network last week has set Farah off again.

Today, Farah writes in a WorldNetDaily editorial that Obama’s remarks prove he “hoodwinked” voters and is still hiding his real birth certificate!

I didn’t bring it up. Donald Trump didn’t bring it up. Jerome Corsi didn’t bring it up. Obama did.

“Just to be clear, I know where my birth certificate is,” Obama said, a little bit self-consciously, perhaps aware that anyone watching the recording outside of the friendly venue of the National Action Network conference might be thinking about it.

“You remember that? That was crazy,” said Obama. “I hadn’t thought about that in a while.”

Haven’t thought about it in a while?

Do you believe that?

I don’t think he has stopped thinking about how he conned the American public into giving him the presidency without genuine, fraud-free documentation. He only produced something a few days after Corsi and WND Books released the No. 1 best-selling book in the nation, “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” – with the intent of halting the sales of a book that proves beyond a reasonable doubt Obama is as phony as his birth certificate.

Watch the video for yourself. Obama’s laughs went on self-consciously long.

“Ha, ha. I think it’s still up on a website somewhere,” he said. “Ha, ha, ha, ha.”

Then he took a long pause.

“You remember that? That was crazy,” he said. “That was some crazy stuff. Ha, ha, ha. “I hadn’t thought about that in a while,” he said, shaking his head. “Ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha.”

Har har hardy ha har.

Are you laughing about this?

Were you part of the media establishment chorus that laughed off the eligibility question? This is where that laughter leads.

Are you still laughing?

Now that he has hoodwinked the American people into allowing him to be president for five years without proper identification, the story is that he wants anyone to VOTE without it, too!

I’m glad he brought up his birth certificate again. Maybe it’s time for Americans to give that phony document the examination it should have received when he released it.

Larry Pratt Compares Armed Militias At Bundy Ranch To Colonists In The American Revolution

Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America is hailing the militia members who incited an armed standoff at Cliven Bundy’s Nevada ranch as a demonstration of patriotism reminiscent of the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Speaking yesterday with far-right pundit Stan Solomon, Pratt saluted the armed militias for intimidating law enforcement officers to the point where “everybody came to realize that we can’t have another Waco, the people are prohibiting us from having another Waco.”

Solomon also lauded the rancher’s armed supporters and argued that during the 1993 standoff with the Branch Davidians “if it hadn’t been for the goodness of the Waco folks” then “there would have been thirty or forty dead” “federales.”

“What they were hoping obviously was that they could run tanks in like they did at Waco as a final, murderous act, but clearly that wasn’t going to be political possible in ‘Bunkerville,’” Pratt said. “It’s interesting, the country you could in a way say it got started at Bunker Hill and it got a new injection of life at Bunkerville, Nevada.”

Peter LaBarbera Insists Abortion Rights Opponents Must Join Fight Against LGBT Rights

Americans For Truth About Homosexuality president Peter LaBarbera weighed in yesterday on the ongoing controversy among anti-choice activists as to whether groups focusing on criminalizing abortion should also campaign against LGBT rights.

In an interview with Janet Mefferd, LaBarbera insisted that opponents of abortion rights should join his anti-LGBT crusade, pointing to transgender people who undergo sex reassignment surgery as an issue that the anti-choice movement should be concerned about because it involves “breasts.”

LaBarbera should rest easy, as the majority of anti-choice groups share the anti-LGBT views that predominate the Religious Right.

Mefferd: Why do you think it’s so essential for pro-lifers to go hand and hand with the marriage issue and the biblical sexuality issue as well as the sanctity of human life?

LaBarbera: Well first of all, the issues are related. Marriage, sex between a man and a woman in a healthy marriage, that produces life. There are so many life issues here. We’re talking about diseases that result from immoral behavior, unnatural behavior. We see the transgender movement where we have women cutting off their healthy breasts to be like the men they think they are, if that isn’t a life issue — breasts, you know, feeding infants — these are all related. It doesn’t help the pro-life movement to say we’re going to be narrowly focused because we see that that’s a controversial issue and it’s going to hurt our cause. Look, God is big enough, trust God to stand for truth on all of God’s truth.

Ray Comfort Warns America Is Repeating Mistake Of Noah's Flood Due To Evolution, Homosexuality, Big Orgies

Ray Comfort, along with many other Religious Right activists, is incensed by the new movie ‘Noah,’ and went as far as to make his own alternative film.

Allen West Says Eric Holder 'Cried Like A Little Baby'

When conservative talk show host Steve Malzberg asked Allen West yesterday why the “race card is being played” by Democrats, the former congressmen responded by railing against Attorney General Eric Holder’s recent speech to the National Action Network.

“To have an attorney general who is clearly in the wrong on so many issues to run over to the National Action Network of Al Sharpton and cry like a little baby that, you know, ‘they don’t like me because I’m black,’ that’s despicable and disgusting and really that’s a slap in the face to every single black person in the United States of America who has achieved any great accomplishments,” West said.

Of course, West himself has previously claimed that liberals don’t like him because he’s black and argued that Holder and President Obama “are the most vile and disgusting racists” in America.

Beck: The Bible Tells Us 'Everything We're Supposed To Know' About Politics

All week, Glenn Beck has been very torn over the showdown between the federal government and supporters of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy because his anti-government views make him inclined to side with Bundy and his supporters, but he cannot bring himself to do so because some of Bundy's supporters seem very intent on fomenting a violent conflict with the government.

On last night's television broadcast, Beck brought David Barton onto the program to discuss the situation and dispute the anti-government activists who are justifying their calls to take on the federal government by likening the Nevada standoff to the beginning of the American Revolution in 1776.

"It's not even close to that," Beck said. Barton readily agreed, absurdly declaring that "when people say that, that proves to me they've been through a government education system that taught them lousy history":

The discussion of the ranch standoff was rather perfunctory as Beck changed topics and began heaping praise upon Barton's "The Founders' Bible" as an extremely important resource for addressing all of our contemporary political problems.

After Barton ran though his standard litany of lies about how various components of our society and government all came directly out of the Bible, Beck said that in reading the Bible cover-to-cover over and over again, he has become "amazed at how much a book of revolution that [it] really is."

"We disconnect this from politics," Beck said of the Bible, but "this gives us everything that we're supposed to know":

Herman Cain's Editor Warns Marijuana 'Invites Demonic Infestation'

Dan Calabrese, the editor-in-chief of Herman Cain’s website, has grabbed plenty of attention with his rants about gay people, attacks on pro-choice women and promotion of the Hillary Clinton “shoe truther” conspiracy.

Today, the former Republican presidential candidate tweeted a column by Calabrese criticizing activists working to reform marijuana laws as “idiotic” and “dumb.”

“Knowing what we now know (although some of us have understood it for a long time) about the brains of pot smokers, it's not surprise they spew such foolishness,” Calabrese writes.

At the end of the column, he adds that he has “more about the spiritual implications of this issue over at my site.”

There, Calabrese claims that smoking marijuana “invites demonic infestation” and “puts a person at serious risk of demonic attack,” warning that “strident marijuana activists” have turned marijuana into their “god” and have given themselves “over to the spiritual enemies of God”:

But let me show you why smoking pot presents an even bigger problem for you, which is: It invites demonic infestation into your spirit.

The use of mind-altering substance for “recreational” purposes puts a person at serious risk of demonic attack because what you’re doing is rejecting the natural chemicals God already put in your body as insufficient to satisfy you physically and emotionally.

The chemicals God put into your body are designed to operate in exactly the way God intends. As long as you are satisfied with the workings of those chemicals, you will be able to operate in a clear-headed manner and exercise good judgment. Once you decide God’s chemicals are not enough for you, and you seek an artificial alternative to alter the state of your mind, you give yourself over to the spiritual enemies of God – because they’re the ones who convinced you that God’s proposition was insufficient for you.

You can clearly see this in the behavior of the most strident marijuana activists, who constantly talk about their favored weed and in many cases make it the primary cause of their lives to make it legal so they can smoke it without sanction of any kind.

When something is the most important thing in your life, there’s a term we use for that. It’s your god.

When you’re operating in faith, you’re operating under the presumption that God has already given you everything you need and that you can trust His provisions. You want to be happy? To be relaxed? To be mellow? To be comfortable socially? To just plain old feel better? Trust God’s provisions.

When you decide God’s provisions are insufficient for you such that you need to risk the brain alteration caused by marijuana in order to experience these things, you’ve engaged in fellowship with demons. And once you do that, you’ve given them dominion over your life.

I have long believed that Christians should avoid all use of mind-altering substances, including alcohol, not so much because “it’s a sin” but because it puts you at a disadvantage in the spiritual battle. I don’t even really know what to do with dopey questions like, “Are you saying I can’t have a beer once in awhile?” I’m not saying you can’t do anything. I’m saying that if you want to be spiritually clean and strong, this is the best strategy. Reject it at your peril.

Understand this, too: What happens in the spiritual becomes manifest in the natural. It’s not for no reason your brain doesn’t function as well once you’ve smoked pot. You’ve given yourself over to spiritual darkness. Your physical body – which is supposed to be a temple to the Lord – will absolutely pay a price as a result. You’ve invited demonic spirits to alter your physiology. You don’t think they’re going to do that in accordance with their agenda?

Scott Walker Re-Election Tour Runs Away From His Record

Governor Scott Walker announced his re-election campaign at a series of appearances Tuesday across Wisconsin, highlighting all the supposedly great things he had done for the average Wisconsinite. The list was pretty thin.

From Dane to La Crosse, Chippewa Falls, Schofield, Green Bay, and finally Fairgrounds Park in Milwaukee, Walker kicked off his campaign, rolling out a new campaign ad with the theme“Wisconsin Is Back On.”

Stating "We want to reduce the dependence on government and increase the dependence on hard work and pride," Walker bragged that his administration created 100,000 jobs during his first term, lowered taxes, and took credit for giving health care to those in poverty.

The facts behind Walker’s carefully-constructed narrative tell the real story. In his ten-minute speech to supporters at Dane Manufacturing outside Madison, Walker avoided telling the estimated 100 supporters there about his failure to create the 250,000 new jobs he repeatedly promised to create during his first term.

Walker’s list of accomplishments also leaves out how he used his state budget to move thousands of Wisconsinites off BadgerCare, delayed health insurance coverage for others, increased costs to residents, and put thousands in danger of losing coverage byrefusing to set up a state-based exchange under the Affordable Care Act.

He also didn't talk about how rather than taking more than $810 million in federal transportation funds to install high-speed commuter rail service between Milwaukee and Madison, he set Wisconsin’s economy back by refusing to participate. Months later he went back to the US Department of Transportation asking for more than $150 million to upgrade the Chicago to Milwaukee Amtrak service, which would have been covered by the initial program, costing the state millions in the process.

Walker also was mum on his crowning "achievement," decimatingstate workers’ ability to collectively bargain for wages and benefits under ACT 10. He also forgot to talk about how he increased Wisconsin’s structural deficit through massive borrowing andgiving tax cuts to the highest earners instead of average Wisconsin voters.

The biggest omission in today’s re-election announcement is also one of Walker’s most egregious offenses. Just last month the Governor signed measures restricting early voting while simultaneously expanding the time that lobbyists can give to political campaigns. He signed the bills right before he jetted off to Las Vegas to curry favor with wealthy casino magnate Sheldon Adelson.

The takeaway from Scott Walker’s re-election campaign is that he’s running away from his own record, away from average voters, and towards his wealthy campaign donors.
