Bauer: African Americans Should Be More Grateful That 'Every Major Goal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Has Been Reached'

In an email to supporters of his Campaign for Working Families today, Gary Bauer wondered why African Americans are still so upset about racism and continue “falling through the cracks” when “every major goal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has been reached.”

In the email — “Will Holder Persecute George Zimmerman?” — Bauer laments that discussions on race can’t happen in America because “it inevitably degenerates into another round of bashing non-minorities and an indictment of America’s past sins.” Social services, “‘gangsta’ culture” and a lack of patriotic education, Bauer claims, are the real culprits for problems in the black community.

I wish we could have a real national conversation about race. But whenever the left calls for such a discussion, it inevitably degenerates into another round of bashing non-minorities and an indictment of America's past sins.

There is a lot we could legitimately discuss. For example, is racism growing among blacks? According to a recent Rasmussen poll, a plurality of blacks (31%) believe most blacks are racist, while only 24% of blacks believe most whites are racist. How does one explain that?

Why is it that every major goal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has been reached -- from voting rights to non-discrimination in housing and employment -- yet so many minority children are falling through the cracks, educationally and economically?

Why is the "gangsta" culture so prevalent in minority areas and why don't urban politicians condemn it?

What is causing the massive breakdown of the black family? It can't be the legacy of slavery. As Dr. Walter Williams has rightly observed, "The welfare state has done to black Americans what slavery couldn't do, what Jim Crow couldn't do, what the harshest racism couldn't do. And that is to destroy the black family."

Of course any conservation about race in America must begin with this truth: God created us all in His image and that is the basis of our equality. "All men are created equal," as the Declaration of Independence says, and are "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." That is the basis of our dignity and worth. Just think, if we were actually teaching that in our schools!

Rep. Ted Poe: Justice Department Review of Zimmerman Case an 'Abuse of Power'

Conservative outlets have continued to spread the repeatedly debunked story that the Department of Justice had a role in the public demonstrations that followed the killing of Trayvon Martin, and the fallacious account has naturally been embraced by at least one House Republican.

In an interview with Lars Larson yesterday, Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) called the DOJ’s review of the George Zimmerman case “a political decision based upon the prejudice of the Justice Department” and a move by the Obama administration to use “the Justice Department for its own political gain.”

“The call that the Justice Debarment, before the trial ever began, went to Florida and stirred up public support for the prosecution of Zimmerman; the Justice Department has no business ever doing that in any case,” Poe told Larson. But as Fox News reported, the DOJ only sent mediators whose responsibilities focused on “how to manage crowds and easing tensions” during the protests.

“The Justice Department has shown its bias, Eric Holder showed his bias when he talked about it; I call him Eric With-holder because he withholds so much information from Congress.”

The congressman lamented that Zimmerman may now “have to suffer the consequences of abuse of power by the United States Justice Department.”

Gun Owners' Pratt: Teach Kids That Guns Are 'Just As Much Fun' As Water Pistols

Gun Owners of America director Larry Pratt appeared once again on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ radio program last week to discuss his work to stop gun violence prevention legislation.

Jones told Pratt that the gun lobby needs to “get on the offense culturally, because they’ve got the kids in their clutches right now.” Pratt agreed, saying, “I think we have to push back in whatever smart way we can do to make sure that kids see, yeah having a gun is just as much fun as you thought it was when you were shooting your buddy with a water pistol yesterday.”

Earlier in the interview, Pratt and Jones were discussing their endless admiration for Texas senator Ted Cruz. Pratt reminisced about the infamous exchange between Cruz and California senator Dianne Feinstein, in which Cruz condescendingly “explained” the Constitution to Feinstein and she responded, “I’m not a sixth grader.”

Calling Feinstein a sixth grader, Pratt said, “would be an insult to sixth graders.” Jones agreed, saying Cruz “was so polite and calm with the logic, that’s why that witch got so upset.”

Kirkorian Warns of Third Party if GOP Doesn’t Block Immigration Reform

Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies is warning House Republicans that a third party may emerge if they don’t block immigration reform. While speaking to Sandy Rios of the American Family Association yesterday, Krikorian maintained that while it is right for Republicans to “fear” that “amnesty and increased immigration will import lots of Democratic voters,” the more immediate problem for the GOP is a third party.

“It will be a disaster for Republicans,” Krikorian said. “It is a danger that if they pass something terrible a lot more

Republican voters are just going to stay home and you can even see third parties coming up in different elections. Heck even Sarah Palin has toyed with the idea of a third party if they pass this immigration bill so I don’t think they realize how dangerous this is politically from their perspective.”

Krikorian and Rios agreed that apathy among conservative voters was to blame for Mitt Romney’s defeat last year. In fact, the turnout among self-identified conservatives in 2012 was around the same level as in the 2008 and 2004 elections, and Romney won 82% of such voters.

Krikorian accused “political elites and the political consultant class” of attacking the GOP’s position on immigration in order to hide the party’s problems on “economic policies or foreign policies or their candidate that all have very strong constituencies defending them and so they find something that they can attack without any donors being upset because it’s being attacked.”

Robertson: George Zimmerman Right to Follow Trayvon Martin Because Criminals Wear Hoodies

Pat Robertson yesterday berated the media for portraying Trayvon Martin as a “little boy” instead of a “fully-formed young African American male.” Robertson defended George Zimmerman after co-host Terry Meeuwsen pointed out that a 911 operator told Zimmerman not to follow Martin. “There’s been some crime in this area and the criminals were wearing these hoods so it’s one of those things,” Robertson said.

On yesterday’s broadcast of the 700 Club, Pat Robertson once again suggested that President Obama is a secret Muslim. Robertson asked CBN terrorism “expert”/sports reporter Erick Stakelbeck, “Do you think Obama is a crypto-Muslim?” Stakelbeck replied that Obama is “revolutionary leftist” who, like the Occupy movement, is working with “hardcore Islamists” to bring down “Judeo-Christian western civilization” and “traditional America.”

Rafael Cruz: The Declaration And Constitution Were 'Divine Revelation From God'

We were aware that Sen. Ted Cruz's father, Rafael, has become something of a right-wing speaker in the wake of his son's election to the Senate, but we did not realize that the elder Cruz is a full-blown Religious Right activist until we watched the speech he delivered at a recent “America in Distress” rally where he spoke alongside the likes of Louie Gohmert, Rick Scarborough, and other Religious Right/Tea Party activists.

Cruz delivered a nearly twenty minute speech that was chock-full of standard Religious Right attacks on everything from abortion to the IRS all while he quoted Bible verses and called upon Christians to vote "for Christian principles, for biblical principles" in order "take every position and office from dog catcher all the way to the highest position in the land."

Cruz closed by declaring that "outside of the Bible," the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were the most important documents that had ever been written.

"And the reason is," Cruz explained, "they were written on the knees of the Framers.  The Framers were seeking divine revelation from God, that's why the Declaration and the Constitution have lasted over 230 years because they were divine revelation from God":

Prager: African Americans to Blame for Racial Discord

In a National Review column today, conservative talk show host Dennis Prager insists that racism in America is largely the fault of the black community, whom he claims will never be satisfied or grateful...even after so many white people voted for a black president!

“All it took was one tragic death of a black kid to reignite the hatred that many blacks and virtually all black leaders have toward white America,” Prager writes. “Ben Jealous of the NAACP, Al Sharpton of MSNBC, Jesse Jackson, and the left-wing media compete to incite hatred of America generally and white America specifically.”

Prager suggests that whites have tried hard (by being OK with a black president) but it doesn’t matter to the anti-white, America-hating black people: “Nothing white America could do will affect either many blacks’ perceptions or the leftist libel.”

The greatest hope most Americans – including Republicans – had when Barack Obama was elected president was that the election of a black person as the country’s president would reduce, if not come close to eliminating, the racial tensions that have plagued America for generations.

This has not happened. The election, and even the re-election, of a black man as president, in a country that is 87 percent non-black – a first in human history – has had no impact on what are called “racial tensions.”

In case there was any doubt about this, the reactions to the George Zimmerman trial have made it clear. The talk about “open season” on blacks, about blacks like Trayvon Martin being victims of nothing more than racial profiling, and about a racist criminal-justice system has permeated black life and the left-wing, i.e., mainstream, media.

I put quotation marks around the term “racial tensions” because the term is stated as if whites and blacks are equally responsible for these tensions, as if the mistrust is morally and factually equivalent.

But this is not at all the case.



Once one understands that “racial tensions” is a euphemism for a black animosity toward whites and a left-wing construct, one begins to understand why the election of a black president has had no impact on most blacks or on the left.

Since neither black animosity nor the left’s falsehood of “racial tensions” is based on the actual behavior of the vast majority of white Americans, nothing white America could do will affect either many blacks’ perceptions or the leftist libel.

That is why hopes that the election of black president would reduce “racial tensions” were naive. Though a white person is far more likely to be murdered by a black person than vice versa, all it took was one tragic death of a black kid to reignite the hatred that many blacks and virtually all black leaders have toward white America.

Let’s put this in perspective. Ben Jealous of the NAACP, Al Sharpton of MSNBC, Jesse Jackson, and the left-wing media compete to incite hatred of America generally and white America specifically. Over what? A tragic incident in which a Hispanic man (regularly labeled “white”) said, with all physical evidence to support him, that fearing for his life, he killed a black 17-year-old (regularly labeled “a child”).

The very fact that George Zimmerman – who is as white as Barack Obama – is labeled “white” bears testimony to the left-wing agenda of blaming white America and to the desire of many blacks to vent anger at whites.

And that is why the election of a black president has meant nothing. Indeed, to those whose lives and/or ideologies are predicated on labeling America and its white population as racist, it wouldn’t matter if half the Senate, half the House and half the governors were black.

Confronting the GOP's Lies in the Border Debate

In a presentation last week at the offices of New Democrat Network, a Washington, D.C. think tank, political analyst Simon Rosenberg challenged the Republican resistance to comprehensive immigration reform. According to Rosenberg, the GOP’s arguments against legalization of undocumented immigrants are based on faulty numbers and false proselytizing. The GOP argues that the border is violent and therefore requires greater security and more border patrol officers. They criticize the track record of the Obama administration and argue that the president can’t be trusted to secure the border. They argue that once we reward those who have entered the country illegally with citizenship, the floodgates will open, and immigrants will flock from countries all across Latin America.

According to Rosenberg, the reality is just the opposite.

“The border is safer, the immigration system is better, and Mexico is modernizing and growing,” Rosenberg said. From 2004 to 2012, the number of border patrol agents on the ground has doubled. The yearly apprehension rate fell to only 19 apprehensions per agent in 2012, a dramatic decrease from the average rate of 306 per agent back in 1992. Rosenberg argued that the increasing number of patrol officers and the steadily declining apprehensions rate indicate that the current border patrol is more than capable of handling the border situation. While the Republicans are arguing for thousands more officers, the workload per officer is already reasonable.

Rosenberg also argued that the Obama administration has made great gains in improving the immigration system. The use of more targeted I-9 audits and the use of prosecutorial discretion to prioritize criminals for deportation are both notable gains that the White House and the Department of Homeland Security should take credit for.

Lastly, Rosenberg argued that Mexico’s own success in terms of GDP growth and increased trade with the U.S. bodes well for the future of the country. Increased cooperation with Mexico is yet another avenue for improving the immigration system.

Rosenberg’s closing message was clear. We have made great progress, but we need a comprehensive immigration reform bill with a reasonable path to citizenship. And if we have any hope of reaching a bipartisan agreement, the GOP’s lies need to be repudiated.

Gohmert: 'How Does The Mating Of Two Males Evolve The Species Upwards?'

Earlier this month, Louie Gohmert spoke at an "America in Distress" Tea Party rally in Dallas, Texas where, after thrilling his audience by reading them a Peggy Noonan column, he got down to business by addressing the important questions ... like wanting to know how the mating of two males "evolves the species upwards?"

Alleging that the Obama administration was attacking Christianity by threatening to prosecute those who believe that homosexuality is wrong with hate crimes laws, Gohmert wanted to know how "someone who believes in evolution ... that throughout the history of the universe, and particularly Earth, that people have come together and born an offspring from different species that has evolved and given us stronger and better species, how does the mating of two males evolve the species upwards?"

As for the idea of Christians being charged with hate crimes for opposing equality, it was ludicrous Gohmert said because "we're not haters as Christians; we're lovers":

Santorum: Media Ignore Alinsky Tactics of Pro-Choice Movement

Joe Pags did his best to fill in for Glenn Beck today on The Blaze, and while interviewing Rick Santorum he referred to abortion rights supporters as “nutcases” who have quite the agenda: “They’ve got a vast communist, socialist agenda; they’ve got a vast anti-freedom, anti-American agenda; they’ve got a vast anti-Christian, anti-Constitutional agenda.”

Santorum agreed that media outlets have “ignored” their nefarious agendas and crooked methods. “This is what community organizers do,” Santrum said, “these are actually tactics that Saul Alinsky and the rest for fifty years in this country have been using these tactics.”

Barber & Crampton: 'The Life Of The Average Homosexual Is Not Controlled By Reason'

A few weeks ago, an anti-gay activist was attacked while protesting a gay pride festival in Seattle by a straight man with a long criminal record and Matt Barber and Steve Crampton are not the least bit surprised because, well, what else can you expect from those who have been given over to a "reprobate mind."

Crampton and Barber warned that these sorts of attacks on anti-gay Christians will only increase in the months and years ahead because, as Crampton explained, "the life of the average homosexual is not controlled by reason" but a perverted lust and passion that has "overwhelmed them." And thus, when you couple that "a lack of self-control" with "the taste of blood," you have a recipe for further bloodletting.

Barber agreed, declaring that gays "define their entire identity based up aberrant sexual behaviors and sexual temptations and acting on those temptations" and so, as Scripture proclaims, they are eventually consumed by this "lust-filled, sex-centric, perversion-centric lifestyle" and ultimately driven by a "dark soul" to commit this sort of violent behavior:

Rep. John Fleming: Obama Administration and Gay Rights Advocates Pushing Atheism, Socialism

Louisiana Republican congressman John Fleming is upset that “those who want to promote homosexuality as a mainstream lifestyle” are trying to change Americans’ “whole way of thinking to that secular humanist, atheist viewpoint” and allow “just about any kind of lifestyle you can think of.” Fleming made the remarks in an interview yesterday with conservative talk show host Janet Mefferd, criticizing Obama administration officials for working “to rid government of any last vestiges of religion, especially Christianity.”

I do believe that those who want to promote homosexuality as a mainstream lifestyle and to change the whole nature of the marriage relationship that has been for centuries one man and one woman, they view that as inconsistent with religious beliefs, so what they want to do from the administration is to change our whole way of thinking to that secular humanist, atheist viewpoint, which means it opens it up to just about any kind of lifestyle you can think of. So I really think that this is a push from the administration and throughout the administration, other people, to rid government of any last vestiges of religion, especially Christianity.

He said that the supposed push for atheism is part of an alleged plan, including Obamacare and government-dictated school lunches, to “push socialism on the American people.”

I would say that the global issue in this whole thing is to push religion completely out of government at any level at all to make this a socialist secular humanist society because as you know, Janet, socialism is incompatible with religious beliefs. So if you’re going to be promoting Obamacare, which is the cornerstone of socialism; if you’re going to have a government that manages its people on a microscopic level; if you’re going to have a growing government, a top-down, directing you as to what your children can eat in the lunchroom and all of these things; that is inconsistent with religion, especially Christianity. So I see this as just another front to push socialism on the American people.

DL Foster: Pro-Gay Christians 'Just Like Slave Owners' and 'Jim Crow Racists'

Ex-Gay Pride Month organizer DL Foster is once again comparing gay rights supporters to slave owners, arguing in a blog post that Christians who support gay rights are just like Christians who opposed abolition, integration and women’s suffrage because they are all driven by making money.

“If the progay clerics and organizations and [sic] had any intellectual honesty, they would inform their followers that they are part of a longstanding tradition of lying for financial gain,” Foster writes. “American slaveowners [sic] did it, the anti-suffragists did it, the jim crow racists did it and the pro homosexual apostate church is doing it.”

1. Slaveowners derived a tangible financial benefit from misinterpreting scripture to keep blacks under the bondage of slavery. The perversion of religious teaching from the mouths of white slaveowners was simply a means to achieve an end. It was a calculated deception including forbidding the slaves to learn to read. Telling the slaves that God and/or the bible wanted blacks to serve their white masters, helped slaveowners continue reaping the benefits of free labor estimated at billions of dollars.

2. Anti-suffrage males fought against women’s rights primarily for financial gain. Sharing jobs with women meant that men would lose their dominant edge in the workplace, thus lose their financial power (and perks). Denying women the right to vote was simply a tool to keep them out of power while ensuring that money and jobs remained in the hands of men. Like the white slaveowners, the social oppression of women by men was all but assured to duplicate itself in the church because the same men populated the church.



3. The white jim crow racists of the 60s also financially benefited by misinterpreting scripture about the equality of African Americans. Using barriers of unjust laws and deceptive ideology, white racists kept in place the system that prevented African Americans from reaching positions of power and thus achieving equality with whites. Keeping blacks out of jobs that paid commensurate wages, kept black people out of power. Like the other deceptive and dehumanizing socio-religious pograms before the jim crow era, the power of money was the bottom line motivation. While segregationists could not en masse prevent blacks from gaining ground, in the south and pockets of other parts of the country, the tactics against them helped slow progress considerably.

The clear common motivator in all oppressive movements was financial gain, not biblical dishonesty which facilitated systemic power over another group. The bible’s words became a convenient tool in the hands of these people. Not only the Bible, but the US Constitution was misused as well.

But there exists no such financial benefit for people who correctly interpret scripture in reference to homosexual practices. No one who believes, teaches and upholds the sexual standards of the bible stands to benefit financially from doing so. In an ever increasing age of intolerant tolerance, such people and organizations actually are penalized for not falling in line with homosexual inclusion ideology. Logically, for the church to be compared to the aforementioned oppressive movements, it would have to allow homosexual inclusion.

Therefore its the religious progays who are financially benefiting from the misinterpretation of scripture just like slaveowners, the anti-suffrage sexists and the jim crow racists.

Ex-Gay Activist: God Turned Gay 'Nightmare' Into 'A Fairy Tale Dream Come True'

While this month’s “Ex-Gay Pride” celebrations have been postponed, September has now been declared Ex-Gay Awareness Month because why not. Helping to spread the message, ex-gay activist Stephen Bennett of Stephen Bennett Ministries and Daddy Pants Industries appeared on Saturday’s edition of Understanding the Times with End Times broadcaster Jan Markell. He spent most of the time criticizing Alan Chambers for closing Exodus International and criticizing the effectiveness of sexual orientation conversation therapy.

According to Bennett, same-sex couples are merely “playing house” and don’t have “the real thing.” “God has taken that which for me was a nightmare and literally made a fairy tale dream come true,” he continued.

Markell maintained that America is now at war with God over marriage equality. “When that government proposes evil and the people sanction it, that spells the demise of a country,” Markell said, “we are racing towards tyranny in America and serious judgment as well.”

She concluded that the “road is being paved” for the coming of the Antichrist and a “globalist system.”

Gohmert: Stopping Immigration Reform Will Make Hispanics Realize 'These Republicans Really Like Me'

Along with Michele Bachmann, Louie Gohmert recently sat down with WND to make the Tea Party case against any sort of immigration reform legislation.  And while Bachmann warned that passage of any legislation would spell the end for the Republican Party in Congress, Gohmert predicted that not passing reform legislation would help the GOP in the long run by demonstrating to Hispanic voters that the party really cares about them.

Claiming that just as Black voters are embracing the Republican Party, Gohmert said that Hispanic voters will do likewise once they understand that the GOP wants them to learn to speak English and assimilate so that they don't have to work as ditch diggers.

"In the long term," Gohmert said, "I think you will see people start waking up and go 'wow, I'm Hispanic and these Republicans really like me ... wow, this Republican really does want me to do well. That's the party I ought to be in!":

Bachmann: Congress Needs To 'Spank The President' And Take Away His Magic Wand

Reps. Michele Bachmann, Steve King, and Louie Gohmert continue their crusade to prevent the passage of any immigration reform legislation by mobilizing the readers of WorldNetDaily with a new article today featuring interviews with each one of them.

In making her case against immigration reform, Bachmann warned that Republicans will lose control of the House of Representatives if any legislation passes because President Obama will "wave his magic wand before 2014" and declare that all immigrants have the right to vote, just as he supposedly did in 2012 when he supposedly declared that anyone here under the age of 30 was allowed to vote which, of course, happened only in Bachmann's fevered imagination.

Last week, Bryan Fischer called on Americans to "get busy" and start having more children in order to stave off the rise of immigrants who will take over the culture.

Guest-hosting for Fischer today was Iowa-based Religious Right radio host Steve Deace who issued his own call for Americans to get busy otherwise by the year 2030, the globe is going to be overrun by some 20 million radical Islamic jihadists who would put Adolf Hitler's Nazi army to shame.

"Who's going to stand along-side your children and grandchildren," Deace asked, "when those jihadists target them?"

Bozell: Romney Lost Because The Media Failed To Report The Obama Was A 'Pothead'

Yesterday's Janet Mefferd program featured a truly idiotic interview with the Media Research Center's Brent Bozell about his new book "Collusion: How the Media Stole the 2012 Election---and How to Stop Them from Doing It in 2016," the premise of which seems to be that there were a variety of negative stories about Mitt Romney but none about President Obama.

Apparently, if the media had just dedicated more coverage to the fact that Obama smoked pot as a youth and ate dog as a child while living in Indonesia, Romney would be president today: 

Mefferd: You're not allowed to touch those on the left; you're not allowed to dig into the past of Barack Obama and expose what little was exposed before 2008.  And it just ramped up, didn't it?

Bozell: You just pitched me a softball. What about the past?  How should somebody's past be covered?  Well, we know about Mitt Romney, we know that because the Washington Post spent five thousand four hundred words of this, we know that had a dog on his roof.  Everyone knows that story.  Now why do we all know that story? Because it was reported endlessly because dogs on a roof are important to report. 

Well, if dogs on a roof are important, what about dogs in your stomach? What about eating dogs? Is that important? Now, am I making a false accusation or a nefarious accusation about Barack Obama? No, I'm quoting him in his own book. He had said how he ate dog. How is that not newsworthy but leaving a dog on a roof is?

The Washington Post; five thousand four hundred words devoted to an essay on Mitt Romney's youth and it all revolves around, remember, the haircut in 1965?  We had to know that. So that's the microcosm of Mitt Romney's youth.

They then did a five thousand word essay on Obama's youth, and it's all about his love for basketball.  He had a love for something else, Janet.  It was called marijuana. He was a pothead. He was a member of the Choom Gang. What they did was they'd get stoned all the time.  Is Brent making an outrageous accusation? No, it's right in Barack Obama's book.

Barton And Other Religious Right Leaders Are 'Modern Day Judases' Who Will Be Held Accountable By God

A few weeks ago, End Times radio host Rick Wiles did an entire program on how Glenn Beck's unique brand of  Islamo-Mormon deistic universalism was dangerously leading his mostly Christian audience into heresy.

Earlier this week, Wiles returned to the topic with the help of anti-Mormon activist Bill Keller as the two spent an hour attacking David Barton and others who have worked and worshiped with Beck as "modern day Judases" who will be held accountable by God for "selling out the gospel for thirty pieces of silver":

Beck has really played that same game of finding - and I'm just going to be blunt - what I call modern day Judases who are willing to sell out the faith for money to basically stand next to Beck and give his lie that he's a Christian credibility.

Just so your audience understands, I don't care what Glenn Beck wants; If he thinks he's going to die and become the man in the moon, that's great, just like I don't care what Tom Cruise believes, obviously.  But the difference is Tom Cruise doesn't want to run around paying high-profile evangelicals to give credence to a lie that he's a Christian like Beck does.

And that's my whole issue with Beck and my bigger issue with guys like Barton, John Hagee, James Robison to name a few, Ralph Reed again.  People that have come alongside Beck, have utilized his media empire - that's been their lure - and in return, they never confront Beck on his false beliefs, they never speak out against this cult that is leading souls to Hell.  And so, I believe that God's really going to hold these people accountable for literally selling out the Gospel for thirty pieces of silver.
