Fighting the Right

Barton: 'Decent People Find [Homosexuality] Absolutely Reprehensible and Disgusting'

On yesterday's program, David Barton asserted that one way to win the fight against gay rights is to start talking about how "reprehensible" homosexuality is going into graphic details on the theory that it will gross people out and educate them about what is really going on.

On today's broadcast, dedicated to discussing the possibility that the Boy Scouts might lift the ban on gay scouts and/or scout leaders, Barton and co-host Rick Green again asserted that as part of this battle, anti-gay activists need to inform people about how "reprehensible and disgusting" homosexuality really is:

Green: Just yesterday on the program with Father Frank, you were describing at the end of the program just like what Representative [Bill] Dannemeyer had read on the House floor in describing just how graphically disgusting these activities are in the homosexuality community.  And I think a lot of folks who are kind of siding with them on this Scout fight again, do not realize what they're approving to go camping with their ten and eleven year old boys.

Barton: Yeah, people have an image of what they think sexuality is and, you know, that can come from movies or come from other sites as well, but when you get the specifics of what homosexuality activity is, even decent people find that absolutely reprehensible and disgusting.  And that's why when Representative Dannemeyer said "hey you Democrats are trying to promote this, let me read what you're promoting, even Democrats got grossed out and tried to censor the Congressional Record and get that stuff taken out because it was so disgusting.

That is probably a good point to make Rick. While we think of this as being tolerant and whatever, no, you do need some details to realize what we're facing here and it's not what you think it might be. Get some details on it.

Guandolo and Wiles: Stop Obama and Al Qaeda from Taking Over America

Disgraced ex-FBI agent John Guandolo returned to TruNews with Rick Wiles to discuss the Boston marathon bombing, which he said should motivate every American to point out and expose the people in their communities who are working for Al Qaeda.

Guandolo warns that Islamic radicals are operating in “every locale across the United States” and must be named and shamed, much like the Ohio professor whom Guandolo falsely accused of backing terrorism. If not, Guandolo claimed, such extremists will infiltrate school boards and the sheriff’s departments and cause America to go over the “tipping point” beyond which we become a nation controlled by Al Qaeda.

He also agreed that Wiles was headed in the right direction after the talk show host claimed that Obama is seeking to impose Sharia law on the US.

Wiles: American Christians are being demonized, the NRA is being demonized, the Tea Party is being demonized, red blooded American citizens are being demonized and at the same time we have people inside the US government who are embracing Islam inside this country. They are being placed in positions of power to dominate the American people.

Guandolo: Yep. So the question is for your viewers, are you going to sit by to you and I chat about this or what are you going to do?

Wiles: This is the problem. What are you going to do? We just had an election and the people just re-elected the Saudi plant.

Guandolo: I bring that up because that’s the question I get the most: what can we do? I’ve had people say, ‘I can’t do anything, I can go every four years and vote but I can’t do anything,’ and I just say: you have a local school board, you have a county sheriff, you have local elected officials, you have state representatives, and every one of them ought to know that this exists because the Brotherhood has organizations in every locale across the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, where they are out there and they are working very diligently not just at the national level but at the state and local level.

Wiles: But John isn’t there a tipping point where this infiltration becomes so deep and pervasive that there’s a tipping point and suddenly the balance of power is in their favor?

Guandolo: I believe there is and I believe we’re pretty close to it right now.

Wiles: We may have already gone over; I think we’re already into it.

Guandolo: We may have, I actually won’t argue that point. I think that the big unknown or the big variable in this whole equation is the American people; the American people when they energize and come around that corner, when they hit their tipping point and decide to engage and identify the Muslim Brotherhood leaders in their cities, in their towns, in their neighborhoods and they point and they say ‘that guy, that gal, they’re working on the same side as Al Qaeda.’ You should not discern between a Muslim Brother and Al Qaeda, it’s just a different bowl of vanilla ice cream.

Would you want somebody who swears their allegiance to Osama bin Laden and the idea of Al Qaeda, would you want them advising your school board? It doesn’t matter what they’re advising them on. I hear people say, what’s he advising them on? At some point you have to inject sanity in the discussion and so if somebody is advising your school board and they’re a Muslim Brother, they are hostile, they should be treated like they’re from Al Qaeda. You don’t have to say everybody has to be tied to Al Qaeda, this is where we’re missing it, oh these two guys in Boston we can’t find any ties to Al Qaeda, well I can: they are dedicated to Islamic ideology of Sharia and imposing Islamic law.

Wiles: That describes Barack Obama.

Guandolo: That could be, you may be right on that. When it comes to what’s happening here and across the country I think that Americans at their local level have got to get engaged and the Muslim Brotherhood is counting on the fact that we will not.

Hagee: Liberals and Islamists Hate America and Love Big Government

Earlier today, we posted a video of Bryan Fischer claiming that liberals and Muslims are allied because they both hate America and Christianity.

On yesterday's "Hagee Hotline," John Hagee made a similar argument, except he claimed that the alliance is based in a united love of big government.

"Radical Islamsists wants a caliphate to regulate every aspect of our lives based on Islamic law," Hagee said, while "the Left wants to tell us what to eat, what to drink, what to drive, what to say, and what to think."

On top of that, both groups hate America and Israel:

Faith 2 Action Mocks Gay People Coming Out by Equating Homosexuality with Adultery

Stooping to a new low, Janet Porter’s Faith 2 Action is mocking the process of gay people coming out by releasing a video of a man revealing to his family that he is an adulterer and demanding affirmation.

Naturally, it ends with a clip from Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality comparing homosexuality to alcoholism.

WND: Stop Donating to Colleges! Unless They're Conservative…

Dr. Walter Williams writes today in WorldNetDaily today about his disgust with left-wing “campus cesspools.” He urges donors to stop giving to colleges and universities until they stop promoting “modern day racism” through things like “diversity programs.” Perhaps Williams would prefer that benefactors follow in the footsteps of conservative mega donor John Olin, who sponsors George Mason University’s John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics…Dr. Walter Williams.

Over the past 10 years, I have written columns variously titled “Academic Cesspools,” “Academic Dishonesty,” “The Shame of Higher Education,” “Academic Rot” and “Indoctrination of Our Youth.” Therefore, I was not surprised by David Feith’s April 5 Wall Street Journal article, “The Golf Shot Heard Round the Academic World.” In it, Feith tells of a golf course conversation between Barry Mills, the president of Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, Maine, and philanthropist Thomas Klingenstein. Klingenstein voiced disapproval of campus celebration of diversity and ethnic differences while there’s “not enough celebration of our common American identity.”

Because Klingenstein wouldn’t help finance the college’s diversity craze, Mills insinuated, in remarks to the student body, that Klingenstein is a racist. Mills also told students: “We must be willing to entertain diverse perspectives throughout our community. … Diversity of ideas at all levels of the college is crucial for our credibility and for our educational mission.”

I applaud Klingenstein for not making a contribution to a college agenda that is so common today. Wealthy donors are generous but tend to be lazy and uninformed in their giving. They give large sums of money that winds up supporting college agendas that are contemptuous of donors’ values, such as enlightened racism, anti-capitalism and Marxism. A rough rule of thumb to discover modern-day racism is to search a college’s website to see whether it has vice presidents or deans of diversity and diversity programs. If so, keep your money.

What we see on college campuses represents a dereliction of duty by boards of trustees, which bear the ultimate responsibility. Wealthy donors who care about the fraud of higher education should recognize that there’s nothing like the sound of pocketbooks snapping shut to open the closed minds of college administrators.

Anti-Choice Activist Threatening Abortion Providers Has Link to Personhood USA Leader

Abortion rights opponent David Leach made news this week when he posted a video of himself on YouTube speaking with George Tiller murder Scott Roeder and threatening Kansas abortion providers.

Leach has a long record of promoting violence against clinic workers and has defended Roeder’s murder of Tiller.

As a GOP state senate nominee in 2010, Leach suggested that HIV/AIDS was divine punishment for homosexuality. He was eventually defeated by Democratic incumbent Matt McCoy, but his candidacy did win the support of one leading anti-choice activist: Personhood USA board member Chet Gallagher:

Gallagher served as the field coordinator for Mississippi’s failed personhood campaign, led the Nevada Pro-Life Coalition, which worked with Personhood USA to sponsor that state’s personhood initiative, and worked on Personhood USA’s campaigns to outlaw abortion in Montana and Colorado. He also works for Flip Benham’s Operation Save America.

The Des Moines Register reports today on Leach’s latest call to violence:

Leach posted the comments this month on YouTube. His posting includes a recorded phone conversation he had with another man, whom Leach identifies as abortion opponent Scott Roeder. Roeder is serving a life prison sentence for the 2009 shooting death of the Wichita clinic’s then-owner, Dr. George Tiller.

Leach has previously suggested that other men were justified in killing other abortion providers. He notes in the video that Tiller’s old clinic was recently reopened by a new abortion agency.

“If someone would shoot the new abortionists, like Scott shot George Tiller, … hardly anyone will appreciate it but the babies,” he says. “It will be a blessing to the babies. Everyone else will panic. Of all places to open up a killing office, to reopen the one office in the United States more notorious for decades than any other is an act of defiance against God and the last remaining reverence for human life.”

In the YouTube video, the man Leach identifies as Roeder laughs as Leach talks about the prospect of someone shooting the new leaders of the Wichita clinic. Then the second man wonders aloud about the clinic director’s motives. “To walk in there and reopen a clinic, a murder mill where a man was stopped, it’s almost like putting a target on your back — saying, ‘Well, let’s see if you can shoot me,’ ” he says.

Then the man quotes a fellow activist, who predicted that the abortion industry would end if 100 abortionists were shot. “I think eight have been shot, so we’ve got 92 to go,” the man whom Leach identified as Roeder says. “Maybe (the Wichita clinic director) will be number nine. I don’t really know. I’m not sure about that. But she’s kind of painting a target on her.”

Beck: 'If You Want to Continue to Discredit Me, You Will Only Discredit Yourself'

Glenn Beck continues his campaign to prove that Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, the Saudi national injured at the Boston Marathon bombing and briefly considered a suspect, is an al Qaeda "control agent" responsible for recruiting the Tsarnaev brothers to carry out the bombing and is now being protected by the US government.

Promising that today "the hammer drops," today on his radio program he read from the "event" file created on Alharbi following the bombing. Beck promised that all of this new information would be reported in The Blaze today, but it hasn't been published as of the time of this writing.

Basically, Beck reported that the file created on Alharbi stated that he was on the no-fly list and had not been properly vetted prior to entering the country on a "special advisory option." It also declared him to be "armed and dangerous" and stated that an earlier "event" file on him had already been created, suggesting that he had been involved in previous terrorist activity. Beck also reported that after this file was created, changes were made to remove key information and then efforts were made to delete the file entirely.

And Beck is demanding answers.

"Bring it on," he thundered, "Would you like some more, because if you want another helping, we'll give it to you." Beck went on to challenge other journalists to pick up the story and report on it, but warning them if they try to discredit him, they will only end up discrediting themselves and be putting Americans at risk in the process:

Update: Here is the video from today's radio program and here is the report from The Blaze:

  • At the time the event file was created for Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, it indicated he was “armed and dangerous”
  • Alharbi was admitted into the country under a “special advisory option,” which is usually reserved for visiting politicians, VIPs, or journalists.  The event file cover page indicates he was granted his status without full vetting.
  • One of the first excuses given by law enforcement when confronted about Alharbi’s pending deportation was an expired visa.  But according to the event file, his visa is good until 11-NOV-2016.
  • The event file indicates he entered the U.S. on 08/28/12 in Boston, MA but says he is a student at the University of Findlay, in Findlay, Ohio.  He has an apartment in Boston, and doesn’t seem to have been a full-time student in Ohio.
  • When a file is created in the system the author(s) are notified via email when it is accessed, and given the email address of the person accessing, so there is a record within the government data system of who deleted them.  It was amended to remove the deportation reference, then someone later went in and tried to destroy both the original event file and an amended versions.  Copies had already been made.
  •  The original event file was reviewed and approved by two high level agents – Chief Watch Commander Maimbourg and Watch Commander Mayfield.

Iowa Republicans Threaten to Cut Salaries of Judges Who Backed Marriage Equality

Iowa Republicans are determined to remove the nine state supreme court justices who ruled unanimously in 2009 to allow same-sex marriage in the state, and they'll try just about anything. In 2010, anti-gay groups funded a successful campaign to oust three justices in retention elections. Then Iowa anti-gay leader Bob Vander Plaats called for the remaining justices to resign. When that didn't work, state Republicans then tried to impeach them. Last year, an effort to remove a fourth justice failed at the ballot box. So now Iowa Republicans are trying a different strategy, proposing to dramatically lower the salaries of the remaining judges who were involved in the marriage equality decision. The Iowa City Gazette reports:

A handful of House conservatives want to reduce the pay of Iowa Supreme Court justices involved in a 2009 decision striking down a ban on same-sex marriages as part of an effort to maintain the balance of power in state government.

“It’s our responsibility to maintain the balance of power” between the three co-equal branches of government, Rep. Tom Shaw, R-Laurens, said Tuesday.

The justices “trashed the separation of powers” with their unanimous Varnum v. Brien decision and implementation of same-sex marriage without a change in state law banning any marriages expect between one man and one woman, added Rep. Dwayne Alons, R-Hull.

Their amendment to House File 120, the judicial branch budget bill, would lower the salaries of the four justices on the seven-member court who were part of the unanimous Varnum v. Brein decision to $25,000 – the same as a state legislator.

It’s not meant to be punitive, Alons and Shaw said Tuesday.
“We’re just holding them responsible for their decision, for going beyond their bounds,” Shaw said.

“It’s not the merits of what they said in that decision,” added Alons. He’s trying to stop “an encroaching wave” of judicial activity including decisions on nude dancing and landowner liability – decisions the Legislature also is trying to correct through legislation this session.

The chairman of the state Senate Judiciary Committee tells Gazette “that a plan to pay justices differently based on their role in one case would be unlikely to withstand a court challenge.”

Fischer: Liberals and Muslims Hate America and Christians

On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer declared that liberals and Muslims are allies because they are united by "their distaste for America as founded and they share a contempt and a hatred for Christianity and for Christians."

"Secular fundamentalists hate this country as founded,"  Fischer said, "They hate it. They're trying to dismantle it.  President Obama hates this country as founded. That's why he's trying to transform it and make it into some kind of socialist, Marxist utopia. Because he doesn't like America, as it was founded. And Muslims don't either.  They hate America. They hate America as founded. They have the same dislike, and distaste, the same enmity toward America is it was founded that secular progressives do.  And so that's the bond that they share":

Barton: Democrats 'Have Wrapped [Kermit] Gosnell Around Themselves'

On today's "WallBuilders Live," David Barton and Rick Green interviewed Frank Pavone of Priests for Life where they discussed the trial of Kermit Gosnell. Following the interview, Barton asserted that the Gosnell case "the biggest mass murder trial in American history" before declaring that activists should not be afraid of placing the blame on the Democratic Party because the Democrats "have wrapped Gosnell around themselves":

The news has done a very, very, very poor job of covering the Gosnell trial which is one of the mass murder trials, the biggest mass murder trials in American history. You know, just basically decapitating a hundred babies or sniping the spinal cords and all the screaming, it's just unbelievable.

Democrats are the ones who have owned the abortion issue. In their platform they proudly proclaim [it,] so why do I feel like I have to tread on neutral ground and not call out Democrats versus Republicans? Hey, the Democrats are the ones who have wrapped the flag of abortion around themselves, they have wrapped Gosnell around themselves. Gosnell is a product of the Democrat thinking and philosophy ... If you're in the Democrat Party,  this is what your party believes, this is what your party platform says, this is what you've wrapped yourself around, this is what you promote as president, this is it.

Barton went on to proclaim that the key to winning the abortion battle is to educate people about the graphic nature of what abortion entails ... just like they should do with the issue of homosexuality in explaining how truly "reprehensible" it is:

Bill Dannemeyer, a Lutheran guy, he said "you Democrats, you're wanting to fund all this homosexual activity, let me describe to you what homosexuality is."  And he just took a homosexual handbook that described the different types of homosexual sex and it grossed all the congressmen out. He said "why are you grossed out, this is what you're funding" and he literally read it into the [Congressional] Record and they wanted to purge the record. But once you get education, you go man, this is gross stuff, whether it's homosexuality, whether it's abortion.

You know, even my grandad, when I got involved in the Republican Party ... he had been a lifelong Democrat, he said "why'd you do that?"  And I said "well, Grandad, because of where they are on abortion and where they are on religious expression and where they are on homosexuality."  We were building a fence at the time and I vividly remember it, we were putting the barbed wire up and nailing it on the post and he just listened to me and for about five minutes, he didn't say anything and about five minutes later he said "sometime you're going to have to tell me what homosexuality is. I hear people use that and I'm not sure what that is."

And there's a guy who has been in the Democrat Party his whole life but because of the reprehensible nature of what it is, he didn't know, it had never been described. The Founding Fathers called it the crime not to be mentioned, it was that reprehensible.

Louie Gohmert Cites Mark Foley Scandal to Defend Boy Scouts Gay Ban

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) defended the Boy Scouts of America’s ban on gay members today by pointing to the scandal surrounding former Republican congressman Mark Foley, who sent sexually explicit messages to several teenage male congressional pages.

Gohmert, who was filling in for Family Research Council president Tony Perkins on the Washington Watch radio program, accused Rep. Nancy Pelosi of hypocrisy because she condemned Foley’s actions but opposes the Boy Scouts’ ban.

Gohmert later agreed with John Stemberger, the Religious Right activist leading the campaign against gay Boy Scouts, when he said that allowing gays in the Boy Scouts would lead to the end of the program and “if scouting dies, part of the fabric of America dies.”

Gohmert: Back when there was a scandal in the House, I guess there was some left-wing group that had found out and then they sat on it for about a year and then right before the election released this story about one of our members from Florida making inappropriate advances toward eight pages, under age. And I heard Representative from San Francisco, Ms. Pelosi, making this speech on the Floor and the thing that really heartened me was because of the things she said I went to the Floor after her and said I am so gratified to know that Ms. Pelosi will now be helping us in maintaining the current position of the Boy Scouts and help us fight off the effort for Boy Scouts based on the things she has said about what’s happened with the page program. But apparently the things she had to say were only to condemn Republicans in an opportune movement that had nothing to do with being consistent when it came to the Boy Scout program…. Any other thoughts or observations, things you would want to encourage our listeners to do after hearing this broadcast?

Stemberger: Yes we have a simulcast coming up right at FRC studios, Sunday, May 5, it’s Stand with Scouts Sunday. We want to get folks all over the country to stand with scouting, especially folks in the program, it’s going to be an hour long program, we want folks to meet a half hour before and a half hour afterwards to organize because we’re going to have rallies around the country. That’s Sunday night, May 5 from 7-8, we want folks to gather at 6:30 and then the meeting will be over by 8:30. It will be a time to meet folks of other like mind. This is our opportunity. Look, scouting is one of the jewels of American culture; if scouting dies, part of the fabric of America dies.

Gohmert: It does.

Stemberger: Those of us who feel passionate about this, we need to fight to make sure we preserve scouting in America.

Gohmert: Yeah.

Later in the show, Gohmert told a listener named Jimmy, who warned the BSA against approving a proposal that would allow openly gay youth to join the Scouts, that homosexuality violates the Ten Commandments and as a result churches that host scout troops won’t go along with the new policy.

Gohmert blamed state and local governments for pressuring BSA to shift on the issue of gay membership. He said they’re accepting of Satanists but punish BSA simply for holding the same belief that “was contained in so many of the references to the lifestyle back among the Founders.”

Scouting has always had people who figured out they were attracted to people of the same-sex but what is being demanded is to be allowed to openly practice this. Jimmy makes the great point that so many of the scout troops, I don’t know what percentage it is but I know in East Texas so many of the troops are sponsored by churches who believe the Ten Commandments and when it says ‘thou shalt not commit adultery’ that means not having relations outside of marriage between a man and a woman. So this would once again be the government—well, government has helped push pressure, there are some state and local governments that have been preventing scouts from using their parks. You can have all kinds of weird beliefs, Satanic or whatever, and you can use the parks but they have made clear if you are a part of the Boy Scouts of America and believe what was contained in so many of the references to the lifestyle back among the Founders then Heaven help you they don’t want you to have anything to do with their parks.

Bachmann Endorses WND Prayer Event that Likens Homosexuality to Terrorism

Michele Bachmann has heartily endorsed the WorldNetDaily prayer effort to mark the anniversary of the September 11 attacks by praying against terrorism, nuclear war and homosexuality. WND editor and birther leader Joseph Farah claimed today that the day of prayer is needed to stop comprehensive immigration reform, the government’s supposed plans to stockpile weapons to “impose de facto firearms restrictions on citizens” and gay rights advocates who seek to “make the citizenry of Sodom and Gomorrah blush.”

Have you ever had the feeling the nation is on the brink of utter disaster?

Has that feeling ever been stronger than it is right now?

• It turns out that after spending hundreds of billions on foreign wars and nearly an equal amount on a new bureaucracy called the Department of Homeland Security, Americans are just as vulnerable to Islamic terrorist attacks as they were on 9/11.

• For days that seemed like weeks, the systematically disarmed residents of the Boston and Cambridge area cowered in their homes and hid in their closets in fear of one armed and dangerous terrorist presumed to have been involved in the Boston Marathon bombing.

• Sometimes it seems the war on terrorism is really a war on the people of the United States and, particularly, on their liberty, as DHS and other agencies target entire classifications of law-abiding Americans rather than those who pose the gravest threat.

• Even when the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate narrowly rejects harsh gun-control legislation, the DHS and other government agencies impose de facto firearms restrictions on citizens by buying up billions of rounds of ammunition, thus removing them from the free marketplace where they could be used for citizen self-defense.

• As the economy continues its five-year cycle of sputtering, the government continues unchecked in its policy of insanely unsustainable borrowing and spending.

• North Korea is threatening all-out nuclear war against South Korea as well as intercontinental ballistic missile attacks against the U.S.

• Iran continues to build a nuclear arsenal of its own while periodically threatening Israel and the U.S., which it still regards as “the little Satan” and “the great Satan.”

• The U.S. continues its slide from moral malaise to cultural hedonism that makes the late 1960s look like the 1950s by comparison, as support for “same-sex marriage” grows, the horrors of the “abortion on demand” crusade are revealed in a Philadelphia courtroom sans media coverage and an epidemic of sex abuse against children by schoolteachers, clergy and scoutmasters is not only ignored but results in capitulation by the Boy Scouts of America to the demands of those who would make the citizenry of Sodom and Gomorrah blush.

• Most of the U.S. press, once considered an important watchdog institution against government fraud, waste, abuse and corruption, has become a disinformation factory – out of touch with the values of the people, the principles upon which the country was established and even the rule of law that specifically guards the media’s own freedom.

• As the country becomes more divided culturally and jobs become harder to find for Americans, one of the highest priorities of the ruling elite in Washington is to ensure that tens of millions of illegal aliens already in the country are permitted to stay, while its calls for amnesty and an open border virtually invite more to emigrate, while rolling out the red carpet for terrorist enemies to enter in their wake.

Do I paint an accurate picture, or do I exaggerate?

It all suggests to me something’s got to give – that we are reaching a breaking point for America.

Is there any conceivable way “politics” as usual can save the country from disaster?

I honestly believe it’s our last and only hope for saving America from catastrophe.

Harvey: Homosexuality 'Hurts the Person Involved' and 'Hurts All of Society'

Like almost every other day, Linda Harvey of Mission America dedicated her daily radio bulletin to attacking gays and lesbians along with LGBT-rights supporters, whom she claims are “misleading millions of people” by telling them that “they were born this way.” She warned that “homosexual behavior hurts the person involved” and “hurts all of society,” but don’t worry because God can help “any person who has a desire to change homosexuality or repent after an abortion.”

Harvey concluded by lamenting that people “believe many tales in this life that turn out to not be true.”

We need to speak up and challenge the acceptance of homosexual behavior. We need to have courage to risk from disapproval because the stakes are very high. Persuasive celebrities and politicians like our President are misleading millions of people. On this issue if you are not firmly grounded in the word of God you will be swayed by the narratives, the people who insist they were born this way, who really believe they cannot live any other kind of life and that it hurts no one. Yet the evidence is overwhelming that none of that turns out to be true. Homosexual behavior hurts the person involved and it defies God’s will. And it hurts all of society. Of course, our merciful God forgives any person who has a desire to change homosexuality or repent after an abortion so no one should ever feel hopeless. God does not give up on us so why should we? No, we let ourselves believe many tales in this life that turn out to not be true.

Beck: 'The Burden of Proof Is on the Federal Government' To Refute My Conspiracy Theory

Last night, as expected, Glenn Beck dedicated his television program to continuing to make his case that Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, a Saudi national injured in the Boston marathon bombing, was originally taken into custody as a suspect in the bombing and designated as a terrorist, only to have the designation removed as he was prepared for deportation after a meeting between high-ranking US and Saudi officials.

A few of Beck's claims were subsequently undermined by a report published late last night by his own reporters at The Blaze, but Beck is convinced that Alharbi is an al Qaeda operative who was responsible for recruiting the Tsarnaev brothers to carry out the Boston bombing.

And Beck is undaunted, as he stated last night that "the burden of proof is on the federal government" to disprove his conspiracy theory "and so far they have not presented one shred of evidence that refutes what The Blaze has reported. Not one":

Schlafly: 'Reinstate the House Committee on Un-American Activities'

Eagle Forum founder and Joseph McCarthy admirer Phyllis Schlafly is using the Boston marathon bombings as an excuse to push for the reinstatement of the notorious House Committee on Un-American Activities.

“It would be useful to reinstate the House Committee on Un-American Activities,” Schlafly wrote in a column yesterday, “so we can have a look at those in our midst who may be jihadists, dupes of violent Muslim indoctrination, or (in old Communist lingo) fellow travelers or useful idiots.”

In her column, which she titled, “Are You American 1st or Muslim 1st?,” Schlafly further argues that while it is okay to be a Christian first and American second, Muslims who put faith first should not be allowed in the country.

The Boston bombing crime shows that comprehensive immigration reform should not be only a southern border problem or even just a problem of illegal aliens. It’s also a problem of foreigners who are admitted legally but should never have been admitted, and of others admitted legally on a visa but are not tracked to make sure they depart when their visitor’s time expires, as U.S. law requires.

For starters, why would our government have admitted the Tsarnaev family whose son was named Tamerlan? That should have been a red alert because that is the name of one of the world’s notorious mass murderers, a 14th-century Central Asian warlord named Tamerlan, who killed about 17 million people.

It’s long overdue for Congress to have a series of hearings on the loopholes, broken promises and disobeyed laws involving both legal and illegal entry into the United States. It would be useful to reinstate the House Committee on Un-American Activities so we can have a look at those in our midst who may be jihadists, dupes of violent Muslim indoctrination, or (in old Communist lingo) fellow travelers or useful idiots.

There is plenty of evidence that legal and illegal immigrants of various nationalities, in contravention of our citizenship pledge, retain their loyalty to the land they came from. Brian Fishman, who studies terrorism at the New America Foundation in Washington, says, “I think there’s often a sense of divided loyalties in these cases where Americans turn to violent jihad – are you American first or are you Muslim first?”

Our government should investigate thoroughly and reject those who do not want to become Americans, obey our Constitution and laws, speak our language, and salute our flag. And they have to accept the rule that disputes in our courts must be decided according to U.S. law, not any foreign law.

Schlafly’s argument is reminiscent of an incoherent answer that Pat Robertson gave last year to a 700 Club viewer who asked him why he criticized Muslims who put their faith ahead of their nationality when he does the same. Robertson claimed that Muslims are different from Christians because they are “under control of a foreign power.”

Beck Battles 'Principalities and Powers' to Reveal Boston Bombing Cover-Up

On his radio program yesterday, after he finished laying out his conspiracy theory about how the government is supposedly protecting an al Qaeda operative responsible for recruiting the Tsarnaev brothers to carry out the Boston Marathon bombing, Glenn Beck explained how this was all being done for the benefit of Saudi Arabia.

But it turns out that it is not just global forces that Beck is up against in trying to expose this conspiracy, but "principalities and powers" which is Religious Right speak for satanic and demonic forces.

But Beck is not afraid because he has God on his side so Washington can "bring it on."

This is not a conspiracy theory. We have the documentation. You want to play ball with us, Washington? Come on, bring it on, play ball! We are not afraid. We know exactly who we are dealing with. We are dealing with, quite honestly, principalites and power beyond our imagination.  But we know who we have on our side. Bring it on.

David Barton Cogently Explains Why Gay Marriage is Unconstitutional

On Thursday's episode of "WallBuilders Live," David Barton attempted to explain why marriage equality is a violation of the Constitution because it is a violation of the Declaration of Independence which is a violation of natural law which is a violation of God's law.

As Barton sees it, the 7th Amendment's language regarding "in suits at common law" means that the Constitution incorporates all of natural law into our legal system, and since common law is based on God's law, our entire system of government is really based on God's law.  And thus gay marriage can never be constitutional because it is a violation of God's law.

If that wasn't confusing enough, Barton went on to claim that the government must take a position on the issue of marriage because by not taking a position on it, it is creating an environment in which it must spend tax dollars on dealing with the negative things that happen as a result of not taking a position ... just like how supposedly "25% of all property theft occurs from people who are on drugs who steal money for their habit" somehow demonstrates the dangers of not outlawing drug use:

From a constitutional standpoint, you cannot exclude morals. A number of conservative libertarians in recent months have been saying "hey, marriage is not a constitutional issue" ... yet it is because Article 7 of the Constitutional through the attestation clause incorporates the Declaration [of Independence] into the Constitution.

The Declaration erects the moral standard by talking about the laws of nature and of nature's god.  Marriage has always been defined not only as a law of nature - now, it's not necessarily in nature, but they called it a natural law that you should be married to one man, one woman because that is what divine law says; the laws of the god who created nature, the law of nature's god even in the very beginning said one man, one woman, this is good. Jesus reiterated that in Matthew 19 and other places.

So the moral standard, the moral law dictates that marriage is between and man and a woman.  That was then incorporated into the Constitution in the Seventh Amendment in what was called the common law. The common law is part of the legal process. And if you look at the common law all the way through time, marriage has been part of the common that.  That is why you do not allow bigamy or polygamy or other forms of "igamy" that attack marriage.  Marriage is a man and a woman as part of the common law that's part of the Constitution.

Now what's happened in recent years, people have tried to say "hey, morals have nothing to do with government" ... yes they do ... and to believe that you can have government without morals, that's not part of the Constitution, that's not part of the Seventh Amendment, that's not part of the Declaration of Independence, it is a twisted view of constitutionality that says morals are to have no place in this.

The problem is once you don't legislate it, it becomes a government issue because if you say we're not going to legislate drugs, guess who's going to have to take care of all the drug problems that arise? It will be government.  We know that right now, 25% of all property theft occurs from people who are on drugs who steal money for their habit.  If you legalize that, then there goes property.

If you look at the justice system, the increase in needs to jails and jail beds and et cetera, government is going to take care of this.  So if government says this is not an issue, it will be an issue.  It will effect our money, it'll effect our spending so anytime a government takes a position that it won't take a position, it has taken a position that it is going to take a position because it is going to spend money on it, if all that convoluted nonsense makes sense.

Robertson: Islam an 'Evil System' Like Nazism

Pat Robertson once again compared Islam to Nazism while speaking on the 700 Club today, arguing that the U.S. should view Muslims as we viewed Nazis during World War II.

“Sure this Islam is a religion,” Robertson said — which is actually new for Robertson as he previously claimed that “Islam is not a religion” — “at the same time it is a system of world government.”

He said that the government “refuses to acknowledge the problem of Islam” even though “during the Second World War we didn’t have any problems saying that Hitler was bad, no problem at all saying the Nazis were monsters, no problem, we were fighting the Nazis and our job was to defeat the Nazis and everybody in America was mobilized to defeat the Nazis…. Now we’re fighting a war but we refuse to identify our enemy even though it is in plain sight.”

Later in the program, Robertson called Islam “an evil system that is bringing death and destruction throughout the globe.”

He has previously labeled Islam “demonic” and “the Antichrist.”

Gun Owners of America Opposes Immigration Reform to Prevent Increase in 'Anti-Gun Voters'

Gun Owners of America may soon join fellow conservatives in opposing comprehensive immigration reform, warning that a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants would lead to an increase in “anti-gun voters.”

Not only does the group oppose comprehensive legislation for clear partisan reasons, GOA spokesman Mike Hammond told the American Family Association’s news service the group may also work to defeat such bills if they include biometric identification or background checks for jobs.

Pro-gun group branching out

Meanwhile, a pro-gun organization is strongly considering getting into the immigration enforcement battle, believing that amnesty for illegal immigrants would likely mean millions more “anti-gun voters.”

Gun advocacy groups are breathing a collective sigh of relief after last week the Senate rejected several key measures that would have trampled on Second Amendment rights. Mike Hammond, legislative counsel for Gun Owners of America, tells American Family News his organization might jump into the immigration debate.

"This is a debate in which presumably we're going to have about seven million new anti-gun voters put on the rolls,” he explains. “It is an issue which fundamentally is going to affect whether gun control is inevitable 15 years from now."

According to Hammond, GOA dislikes even the supposed “good” parts of the immigration reform package.

"We don't like the notion that every American would have to get a biometric ID card. We don't like the fact that every American would have to get a Brady check for jobs before he could get employed in America,” he states.

“So we not only don't like the bad things about the immigration bill, we don't like the good things about the immigration bill,” Hammond summarizes.

GOA has already put out an alert saying it is uncomfortable with amnesty.

NRA's David Keene Claims Obama Is Scared of America

NRA president David Keene appeared on The Mike Huckabee Show today where he told guest host J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman from Arizona, that President Obama is scared of America.

Keene claimed that Obama and his advisers don’t understand the gun debate because they live inside “the confines of urban Chicago or Cambridge, Massachusetts or Washington D.C.,” which Keene astonishingly seems to think are areas unaffected by gun violence.

He also blasted Obama for a comment about how he understands the appeal of gun ownerships in places like rural Iowa where law enforcement officers could be miles away, which Keene said is further proof that “he just doesn’t get it.”

Keene, whose group opposed background check legislation backed by a huge majority of Americans, including most gun owners and voters in “red states,” argued that Obama is out of step with the country and claimed that “frankly the rest of the country scares him.”

Keene: The amazing thing to me about this administration is just how parochial it is. These are people — remember when Barack Obama recently went to Iowa and he looked around and he said ‘well gosh I can understand why if my wife lived out here she might want a gun,’ what’s that about? You know, in other words, he just doesn’t get it. If you are outside the confines of urban Chicago or Cambridge, Massachusetts or Washington D.C., he and most of his advisers have no concept of what the rest of the country is like and frankly the rest of the country scares him.
