Beck Wants Records From Obama's Blackberry to Determine if He Was the Source of 'Innocence of Muslims' Video

Just the other day, Glenn Beck was complaining that there is some coordinated effort under way to label him a conspiracy theorist ... which was, itself, part of some conspiracy.

Last night, on his television program, Beck perfectly demonstrated just why he has developed this reputation.

For months, Beck has been claiming that President Obama was nowhere to be seen on the night of the Benghazi attack, oscillating between speculating that the president was intentionally being kept out of the loop or that he was operating off-the-record in order to conceal the truth about what was really going on.

Last night, citing a theory put forth by Charles Krauthammer, Beck said that the only phone call President Obama made that night was to the State Department in order to coordinate the message that the attack was motivated by an anti-Islam video posted on YouTube.

Beck went on to wonder if Obama has kept a personal Blackberry so that he can operate off-the-grid and not have to use White House equipment and leave any sort of recored, which then compelled him to ask "is [Obama] the origin of the video?  Who was the origin of that video?  Can we get the records of the Blackberry?"

Erik Rush: Journalists, Who Should be in Jail, Must Stop Obama's 'Tyranny'

Confident Mitt Romney would defeat President Obama last year, Erik Rush wrote a pre-election screed urging a future Romney administration to arrest and prosecute journalists (and liberals at large) for treason over their “anti-American” beliefs.

But Obama won, and in a WorldNetDaily column today Rush is urging journalists to expose Obama’s plans to build a Marxist “totalitarian state” and institute “tyranny.”

He writes that Obama has “deliberately and willfully sabotaged our economy” and begs members of the press to “wake up to the fact that the leaders and regimes Obama and his closest advisers grew up admiring are the ones that committed some of the worst atrocities in modern history.”

Under President Obama, Americans’ liberties are being neutralized at a mind-blowing pace, and thanks largely to the establishment press, most Americans are still too addled to see that tyranny is coming to America. The methods the Obama administration has been using to bring this about appear pretty transparent to some of us, but practically imperceptible to others.

Since 2009, some have maintained that Obama has dangerously compromised, sabotaged and subverted this nation on more levels than I have room to list here. Those of us who were aware that Obama and his cronies are in fact actualizing the century-long dream of Marxist radicals’ for a totalitarian America said so – and we were ridiculed. We described it as it began to take shape under our noses – and we were ridiculed. We pointed out the Marxist character of countless Obama policy maneuvers, Democrat-sponsored bills, regulations, recess appointments and executive orders – and we were ridiculed even more. Each and every example we brought to light also brought the ridicule of the press and mincing liberal twerps at large.

It is madness to ignore the aggregate of evidence against Obama just because a lot of people want to believe that he’s a good guy. It is madness to ignore all of the evidence that shows us very clearly going down the road of every other civilized nation that has descended into tyranny. It is madness to ignore the evidence that speaks to Obama having deliberately and willfully sabotaged our economy, even as he continues to do so. It is madness to ignore his cozy and very open relationships with America’s sworn enemies. It is madness to ignore that we pretty much have the framework for an entire totalitarian state build right into Obamacare, the president’s crowning achievement.

And it’s madness to ignore that these things did not come about until one Barack Hussein Obama became president.

Although the media are starting to pay attention to certain “irregularities” of government, I pray that those who are not too ideologically kindred with Obama learn how criminal this administration truly is and act accordingly, as opposed to letting the president simply sacrifice a few key operatives and continue to play out his diabolical game.

Let Americans of conscience continue to exercise our influence, so that any honest elements of the press (as well as our neighbors) wake up enough to these truths. Let them also wake up to the fact that the leaders and regimes Obama and his closest advisers grew up admiring are the ones that committed some of the worst atrocities in modern history, and that in any administration, the tone is set from the top.

Klingenschmitt: ENDA Promotes Bestiality & There Is a 'Demonic Spirit Inside of [Sen.] Jeff Merkley'

On the most recent episode of his "Pray In Jesus' Name" show, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt expanded on his warning that passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act would be "the end of the world for Christian employers" by declaring that ENDA would require them to hire people who practice bestiality.

Claiming that since the legislation does not explicitly define what it covered by its language banning employment discrimination based on "perceived sexual orientation," then bestiality must be covered, Klingenschmitt warned that "the government is promoting a law that contradicts God's highest law" and that there is a "demonic spirit inside of [Sen.] Jeff Merkley" who is co-sponsoring the legislation:

Joseph Farah Finds 'Little Comfort' In Saying 'I Told You So'

WorldNetDaily founder and prolific conspiracy theorist Joseph Farah has a message for America: “See, I told you so.”

In a WND column Tuesday, Farah writes that he takes “little comfort” in reminding us that he warned us of “radical, Chicago-style gangster” President Obama’s “Marxist connections” and “cover-up of his eligibility problems,” only to be ignored by the “low-information voters” who reelected him.

The result, Farah writes, is “three of the biggest political scandals in American history,” a health care reform law that “will result needlessly in immense pain, death and suffering,” and a president whose “enemies include the Constitution of the United States.”

Farah writes that the only solution, as he has said before, is his upcoming  9/11 day of prayer, which is also being promoted by Rep. Michele Bachmann.

It gives me little comfort to say, “See, I told you so.”

Starting in 2008, there were many voices warning what an administration headed by a radical, Chicago-style gangster like Barack Obama would mean for America. But none of those voices were as relentless and prolific as WND.

We exposed his background.

We exposed his associations.

We exposed his policy positions as a “community organizer,” an Illinois state senator and during his brief career as a U.S. senator.

We exposed the lies in his books.

We exposed the still-unanswered questions and cover-up of his eligibility problems.

We exposed his Marxist connections, appointments and leanings in “The Manchurian President.”

And we continued by exposing what he would do in a second term if he got the chance in “Fool Me Twice,” a book, by the way, as relevant today as the day it was published in 2012.

We hoped for the best, but, at the end of the day, “the low-information voters” prevailed.

Am I surprised Obama is now simultaneously caught up in three of the biggest political scandals in American history?

No.

I’m surprised it took this long.

It’s in Barack Obama’s nature and character to do “whatever is necessary” to prevail over his enemies. And his enemies include the Constitution of the United States.

Will the dysfunctional political system and the dysfunctional media do what needs to be done?

I hope so. But I can’t help but think Obama and all he has wrought on America – including a health-care system that violates the consciences of Americans and will result needlessly in immense pain, death and suffering – actually represent justice for the country. We’re getting just what we deserve – not only because we allowed him to be elected twice, but because Americans have lost their moral bearings.

Obama is only a symptom of the disease that plagues us.

We can’t win unless we recognize that what we are seeing happen to America is part of a divine judgment of those who were given so much, who were so blessed by God, yet turned our collective backs on Him.

Our nation is literally imploding morally and spiritually. Every man and woman does what’s right in his own eyes. The church is asleep.

Do you want to see miracles happen in America? Do you want to see the nation restored? Do you want to see us return to the godly principles that shaped the nation and provided blessings beyond imagination to us all for so long?

I am persuaded this is the way.

I hope and pray you will join me.

If you do, I look forward to saying, “See, I told you so!”

Harvey: Gays like Bullies and Terrorists, Putting Boy Scouts at Risk for Sexual Abuse

Linda Harvey of Mission America is clearly devastated by the Boy Scouts of America’s decision to allow openly gay youth and in a radio commentary said that the “truly heartbreaking” vote was “a slam on authentic boyhood and manhood” that will have “our children corrupted as a result.”

The Boy Scouts of America embraced open homosexual attraction for boys. Boys can now identify as gay and announce that to the whole troop, and this is OK. The vote was 61 percent in favor. It’s truly heartbreaking to watch the morals of a revered institution disintegrate in this way, and our children corrupted as a result. America, how did we get here? The statement coming out of the Boy Scout organization said that even though they knew this would be controversial, “We can all agree that kids are better off in scouting.” Well, not true. This statement is just as naive and foolish as the proposal itself. No, we can’t all agree that boys are better in scouting, not now. Knowledgeable parents will move their boys at the earliest possible time to a much better organization. Why? Because many, if not most, troops will quickly become homosexually affirming climates either in theory or in real-time practice. This is a vote of weakness and a slam on authentic boyhood and manhood.

Folks, whatever the motivation for this move, it’s insane. Troops are not supposed to be social experiments or, possibly, therapy centers for troubled boys who may be leaning toward homosexuality. As we’ve said here before, kids who have same-sex attractions can change and often do by adulthood. But it is not healthy or right to involve other children with these very personal struggles as confused boys are figuring all this out, or maybe not figuring it out.

Writing in WorldNetDaily, Harvey accused gay rights activists of supporting child abuse and using “tactics that increasingly resemble childish middle-school bullies morphing into terrorists.”

Condom training, cross-dressing troop members and lessons on “homophobia”: Welcome to the new, improved Boy Scouts of America.

Well, “gay activism” happened, and the pressure was apparently too much. It just goes to show you how much influence this lobby has, with tactics that increasingly resemble childish middle-school bullies morphing into terrorists. And Boy Scout parents and leaders who actually believe the pink mafia will stop here are beyond naïve.

As time rolls on, there will be incidents of abuse. Will the Boy Scout organization report these? Let’s not kid ourselves. They just showed how compromised/intimidated/clueless they are. Expect cover-up upon cover-up in the future, eventually resembling the Catholic Church scandal.

The climate of assent will erode each boy’s code of ethics, either quickly or slowly, but it will happen. It will erode the Christian boy’s reliance on Scripture, his relationship with the real, living Almighty God and our Savior Jesus Christ. If he begins to doubt that God actually is our Creator, the One who decided long ago what is good and what is evil, and did condemn homosexual behavior as a sin, and if he is lulled into failing to use the brain God gave him to observe that two men together is observably wrong, this is a boy who is being enabled in truth denial. He is then vulnerable to all kinds of other corruption and, without an anchor, is really no different than any un-Scouted kid in our rudderless society.

Beck's Three Day Extravaganza Will Permanently Engrave His Message Upon the Hearts of America's Children

For months now, Glenn Beck has been working on a show that he is going to be putting on in Salt Lake City, Utah over the Independence Day holiday that will modestly "change the way we celebrate Fourth of July."

This "Man In The Moon" event is actually just the centerpiece of a three day event that Beck is organizing for the intended purpose of etching his agenda "on the hearts and souls of our children."

"Everything that I am doing," Beck explained today on his radio program, "I am working to be able to engrave these things on to your child's heart so they never forget."

In fact, the entire event is scheduled for three days because apparently that is the amount of time that has been scientifically determined as necessary to permanently indoctrinate someone ... and if Beck is successful "your children will never forget the moment the moon spoke, they will never forget and if we've done our job right, you and your children will never look up into the sky and see the moon the same way ever again":

LaBarbera: 'God Is Giving Us Over To Our Sin' and Letting the 'Pro-Homosexual Side' Win

Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality appeared on VCY America’s Crosstalk yesterday to discuss the recent decision by the Boy Scouts to include openly gay members under the age of 18 and the upcoming vote on marriage equality legislation in the Illinois State House. Understandably, LaBarbera was quite despondent and even resigned to increasing gay rights victories, warning that “God is giving us over to our sin.”

LaBarbera: I’ll tell you, I fear for our country, I believe God is giving us over to our sin. It seems that way to me, I don’t have a red phone to the Lord but it just seems that America is on such a precipitous decline, you know God seems to be saying: ‘You want homosexuality? You want abortion? Here, go ahead and have it.’ We’re a free society. The culture war on this issue alone is frightening, how much more resources and money the pro-sin side—which would be the homosexual side, that’s a sin—how much more resources they bring than to the side of righteousness and in a free society the people who bring the most organization, resources, money and people win and that’s what’s happening.

During the program, host Jim Schneider read Michael Swift’s obviously satirical “Gay Manifesto,” the 1987 essay which facetiously talks about gay “private armies” that will “conquer the world” and defeat the “hetero swine,” as if it was a serious political treatise, lamenting that “we are seeing item by item virtually everything that he has laid out here to be fulfilled today.”

LaBarbera called Swift’s piece “demonic” and “shockingly evil,” while even he admitted that it “may have been a satirical essay.”

Schneider later claimed that “same-sex assaults that are taking place in the military are just drastically on the increase” since the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy was lifted.” As we have already pointed out, however, CNN has reported that the current sexual assault rate among active duty men has “remained unchanged” from 2010, the year before Don’t Ask Don’t Tell was repealed.

Schneider: That was a quarter century ago, I recall when we first read this back many years ago that people hooted and hollered, they said oh that’s just one wacky individual, but we are seeing item by item virtually everything that he has laid out here to be fulfilled today.

LaBarbera: It’s shocking. It’s shockingly evil, just the demonic price that essay is just stunning. Absolutely. This may have been a satirical essay but it’s shocking, it’s amazing how so much of that came true. I think about the characters on TV, how many people these days tell you every time you turn on the TV set there’s a favorable depiction of an openly homosexual character, it’s like the good guys are the homosexuals and the bad guys are heterosexuals. We see this again and again. Basically, homosexual power has grown exponentially in our culture and a lot of the things that essay talked about are actually happening.

Schneider: Here he talked about the army bunkhouses and just a week ago we saw about the increase in the sexual assaults occurring in the military, especially since the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy was lifted and same-sex assaults that are taking place in the military are just drastically on the increase. Certainly line by line the family unit, they say, is going to be annihilated.

Fischer: Women Were Designed To Be Ruled Over and Focus Their Energy on Making a Home for Their Children & Husband

On today's radio program, Bryan Fischer reacted to new research finding that women are either the sole or primary source of income in 40% of homes ... and his reaction was exactly what you'd expect from sexist, borderline theocrat as he cited the Bible to assert that women were designed to be ruled over by their husbands and "to focus her energies ... on making a home for her children and for her husband."

Fischer was especially alarmed by the prospect that working women might earn more than their husbands because it is an unhealthy dynamic because it undermines "his sense of worth as a male":

Beck: Bachmann Is Getting Out of 'Chernobyl' With Her Honor and Integrity In Tact

On his radio program today, Glenn Beck reacted to the announcement that Rep. Michele Bachmann would not be seeking re-election by saying that while he finds is tragic, it is also understandable that she grown tired of the incessant attacks that have "destroyed her image, destroyed her honor, [and] destroyed her business."

Leaving Congress, Beck insisted, was good for Bachmann because Washington, DC is "Chernobyl" and so she is getting out with her honor and integrity in tact:

PFAW Bids Adieu to Michele Bachmann

In response to Rep. Michele Bachmann’s announcement that she will not seek reelection to Congress, People For the American Way president Michael Keegan issued the following statement:

“Congress certainly won’t be the same without Michele Bachmann. Although plenty of her GOP colleagues are just as extreme, none of them could match her ability to concoct conspiracies and pursue them aggressively, without even a shred of evidence.

“Bachmann has a knack for making headlines, usually for all the wrong reasons. Just earlier this month, she blamed America for the 9/11 and Benghazi terrorist attacks, saying they were God’s judgment. This was a fitting capstone to her years of outrageous and offensive remarks as a member of Congress.

“In her relatively short time in Congress, Bachmann called for investigations into ‘anti-American’ elements within Congress and the ‘deep penetration’ of the US government by the Muslim Brotherhood. She personally led a witch hunt against committed civil servants like Huma Abedin on the basis of their religion. And she recklessly warned that the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation, that AmeriCorps is a Communist-style ‘re-education camp’ for the young and that Census forms would be used to gather dissenting Americans into concentration camps. To be honest, that’s just scratching the surface.

“Despite Bachmann’s effort to put a positive spin on her retirement from Congress, that’s clearly not the case. Her ill-fated presidential campaign has come under scrutiny for ethical and financial lapses, and she faced likely defeat at the hands of Democrat Jim Graves. He nearly defeated her last time, and that was before her latest troubles and outbursts.

“I don’t imagine we’ve heard the last of Bachmann, I’m sorry to say. But I hope her retirement from Congress will leave slightly more room for rational debate and turn down the volume of the conspiracy caucus.”

Schlafly Encourages GOP to Ignore Latinos, Focus on White Turnout

Eagle Forum’s Phyllis Schlafly is riled up about comprehensive immigration reform, and she has hardly been hiding the reason why. Last month, Schlafly predicted that comprehensive reform would be “suicide for the Republican Party” because immigrants “come from a country” where they expect “a handout” from the government. Last week, she lamented that today’s immigrants are less patriotic than the “Irish, Italian, Jewish, etc.” immigrants of “earlier generations.” Then, she claimed that Mitt Romney lost the presidential election not because of eroding support for the GOP among people of color, but because “his drop-off from white voters was tremendous” – which is just blatantly false.

But in an interview this week with conservative radio program Focus Today, Schlafly just came right out and said it. Calling the GOP’s need to reach out to Latinos a “great myth,” Schlafly said that “the people the Republicans should reach out to are the white votes, the white voters who didn’t vote in the last election.” Schlafly accused the Republican “establishment” of nominating “a series of losers…who don’t connect with the grassroots.”

“The propagandists are leading us down the wrong path,” she said. “There’s not any evidence at all that these Hispanics coming in from Mexico will vote Republican.”

Although she doesn’t say it in so many words, Schlafly is basically repeating Pat Buchanan’s call for the GOP to revive the Southern Strategy, stirring up racial resentment among white voters against Latino immigrants in order to boost turnout.

Starnes: 'You Can Be Assured That I Am Sharing With You Accurate Information'

Last week, the Family Research Council hosted its annual Watchmen on the Wall conference and among the speakers was the Religious Right's favorite "journalist," Todd Starnes of Fox News.

Starnes' entire career appears to be built around presenting one-sided culture war stories designed to fire up the conservative base, so it was hilarious to hear him declare that he prides himself on his accuracy, assuring his audience that when they read his stories, they are "getting the most accurate information possible":

You mean like the time he reported that a high school runner was disqualified for thanking God, which turned out to be totally false?

Or his report that the military was blocking the Southern Baptist Convention's website as an act of hostility toward Christianity, which was likewise entirely wrong?

What about the time he claimed that "roving gangs of thugs" had taken over New York City in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy or when he falsely claimed that the Obama administration had not called for the release of Rev. Saeed Abedini from Iran?

Or how about his false report that two female middle school students were forced to ask one another for a kiss during an anti-bullying presentation?

And who can forget his article alleging that the military was going to court-martial soldiers for sharing their faith, which was entirely untrue?

Is that what Starnes meant when he said "you can read my stories and you can be assured that I am sharing with you accurate information"?

Because, ironically, that is not true.

Michele Bachmann's 5 Wildest Predictions, including Slavery, Sharia and More

Now that Michele Bachmann has announced she’s not running for reelection, we’re beginning to wonder what Congress will be like without her and her many totally reasonable claims, like that Democratic presidents are linked to swine flu and the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation.

But while Bachmann may be retiring from Congress, her many predictions live on. Here are five of the wildest among them:

1. Obama will impose Sharia law

As the leader of a group of House Republicans that sought an investigation into Muslim-American staffers of the Obama administration, Bachmann repeatedly warned that administration officials and President Obama himself are determined to impose Sharia law in the US and around the world and take away the freedom of speech, religion, press and assembly.

2. Obama creating slavery, reeducation camps

At a 2010 conservative summit, Bachmann maintained that the first years of the Obama administration was part of an effort to turn “our country into a nation of slaves.” Ironically, Bachmann had signed a Religious Right group’s candidate pledge which said that African-American families were better off under slavery than “after the election of the USA’s first African-American president.” She also warned that Obama will create “re-education camps for young people” by expanding AmeriCorps, an organization of which her own son is a member, and might use the Census to put people into internment camps.

3. God will repeal Obamacare

After leading an unsuccessful prayer effort to stop Congress from passing Obamacare, she has consistently guaranteed that the law will be rescinded. If not, Bachmann has claimed that the law will “literally kill” people, institute “death panels,” deny health care to conservatives and government critics and establish school “sex clinics” with abortion services. Earlier this month she told James Dobson that “God is going to answer our prayers” and compel Obama to repeal the health care law.

4. Schools will turn kids gay

Bachmann began her political career by working in education issues, and as Religious Right activist, she naturally thought that public schools will teach kids to be gay, warning that soon “all schools will begin teaching homosexuality” and “little K-12 children will be forced to learn that homosexuality is normal, natural, and perhaps they should try it,” even suggesting that schools will use Elton John music in the Lion King to turn kids gay. “It’s part of Satan I think to say that this is “gay.” It’s anything but gay,” Bachmann said at a conference hosted by the far-right group EdWatch, “If you’re involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it’s bondage. It is personal bondage, personal despair and personal enslavement.”

5. God backed her presidential bid

While on the campaign trail (and after), Bachmann invoked God as a supporter of her presidential bid, and she also called on God to put together her campaign operations. Of course, she finished last among major contenders in the Iowa caucus with just over 6,000 votes, and her campaign team was plagued by infighting and is currently under investigation for campaign violations.

VCY America Host Slams 'Disgusting' Parents Who Don't 'Protect Your Child from the Filth of Homosexuality'

Matt Trewhella of Missionaries to the Preborn hosted last week’s edition of In Focus, Voice of Christian Youth America’s flagship television show, where he attacked gays and lesbians as “filthy.” After quoting from a column by Brian Camenker from MassResistance on the supposedly detrimental effects of marriage equality in Massachusetts, Trewhella said gay marriage “totally changes the entire culture” but that most Americans “don’t care anyway.”

“Your children would be getting perverted in their minds by these filthy people,” Trewhella claimed, before turning his venom to straight people who don’t condemn gays and lesbians: “I have no respect for people who are parents, who actually have children, and have no problem with homosexuality or homosexual marriage. They are the most base people on the planet to have totally abandoned every God-given vestige to protect your child from the filth of homosexuality, to blatantly go along with it is disgusting.”

“It’s disgusting to watch, it’s disgusting to see,” Trewhella said.

Gaffney: Obama to Blame for Rise in Military Sexual Assaults for Encouraging Gays & Women to Serve

Frank Gaffney today made the case on Sandy Rios in the Morning that the increase in the sexual assault rate in the Armed Forces is President Obama’ fault because of his efforts to encourage women and gay people to serve.

After arguing that Obama has “savaged” the military with “vigor and lethality,” he linked Obama’s “sexual experimentation” and “social warfare against the military” to cases of sexual violence: “We’re hearing a lot about sexual assaults in the military and the like, it’s not to defend that by any means but it is to say if anybody is surprised that by putting more women and for that matter homosexuals into the military you are not going to get as a result that kind of unacceptable behavior is fatuous, it’s irresponsible, it’s malfeasance.”

The President came to office pledging fundamentally to transform the United States of America and I believe he has gone after every institution of our country, perhaps none with the vigor and lethality of the United States military. He has savaged the resources that it has relied upon to do the job we asked it to do to keep us safe, he has reduced both its numbers and its power projection capability and perhaps as troubling as anything I think he has done much to reduce its stature as a one of the most revered institutions in this country. We’re hearing a lot about sexual assaults in the military and the like, it’s not to defend that by any means but it is to say if anybody is surprised that by putting more women and for that matter homosexuals into the military you are not going to get as a result that kind of unacceptable behavior is fatuous, it’s irresponsible, it’s malfeasance, is what it’s amounts to. I’m afraid that the consequences of all of these steps, whether it’s the social experimentation or social warfare against the military or whether it’s hallowing it out through the budget and other means, the effect is we’re breaking the only military we have at a time when unfortunately we’re going to likely need them more than ever.

Beck: 'Why Is it a Concentrated Effort Now to Label Me a Conspiracy Theorist?'

On his television program last week, Glenn Beck thought it was important to highlight an interview that took place between CNN's Wolf Blitzer and a survivor of the tornado in Oklahoma who turned out to be an atheist.

Insisting that it was a "really bizarre exchange," Beck suggested that it had been orchestrated by a CNN producer who wanted to promote atheism "or just doesn't like Christians." While he acknowledged that it was possible that the exchange had just happened naturally, Beck didn't think so and nonetheless insisted that it had occurred "for a reason" because "we are fighting the forces of spiritual darkness."

On his radio program today, Beck and his co-hosts discussed the media coverage that his comments generated and complained that everyone is using it to paint him as a conspiracy theorist.

Insisting that he was merely commenting on something that he thought was an interesting media story (which is blatantly false, as anyone who watched the original segment can attest), Beck declared that the media has an agenda to always write him off as a conspiracy theorist ... and it all goes back to Cass Sunstein:

Perhaps the reason that everyone considers Beck to be conspiracy theorist is because he spends hours every day spreading conspiracy theories.

And if he wants people to stop calling him a conspiracy theorist, it would probably help if be wasn't blaming the entire thing on some sort of conspiratorial effort supposedly originated by Cass Sunstein.

Tony Perkins Knows What's Best for Gays – and the GOP

The latest fundraising pitch from the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins blasts “the national Republicans” whom he says are “running away from the natural and biblical definition of marriage, flocking to the radical side in support of same-sex ‘marriage.’”

Perkins’ letter insists that allowing same-sex couples to get married is dangerous to religious liberties, to the next generation, and “dangerous to civilization itself.” Perhaps worst of all is that Obama’s “machine” would benefit from the GOP alienating its conservative base:

Sacrificing our values, and their distinctives as a Party, will send millions of voters packing. One terrible side effect: President Obama’s machine will be stronger than ever. Their radicalization of American public policy will intensify.

But be assured that Perkins “cares deeply” about gay people:

Please understand: this is no vendetta. We care deeply about those who engage in either heterosexual sex outside of marriage or homosexual behavior in any context. Both are immoral and unhealthy. We want what is truly best for them and for our nation.

What is truly best for them is a lifestyle of biblical morality. (emphasis in original)

Perkins calls for a “massive outpouring of outrage from principled conservatives” and urges supporters to sign a petition to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. And, of course, to send a check.

Perry Claims Boy Scouts Will Answer to God for Allowing Gay Members; Gohmert Warns of Pedophilia

Rick Perry, who has equated the fight against gays in the Boy Scouts to the fight to abolish slavery, told Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council on Friday’s edition of Washington Watch that the Boy Scouts of America’s delegates bowed to “political correctness” and “money” in ending the ban on gay members under the age of 18. The Texas governor went as so far as to say that God will hold the BSA’s leadership accountable: “they will look back on it someday and be held accountable, so that day will come and they will stand before their maker and be accountable for the decisions that they made.”

I think a loving, tolerant view towards those who have different sexual preference is the ideal position but Scouts has never been about sexuality and my point is that’s one of the reasons I wrote the book, it shouldn’t be. Scouting is not about sex, it’s about building character. But those who wanted to push their agenda have now put parents and young men in the position of making a decision, is this where I want to spend my time? Is this an organization that I do want to be associated with? I think the jury is going to be out for a while. I do think that those on that board made a decision that was driven by political correctness, by money and they will look back on it someday and be held accountable, so that day will come and they will stand before their maker and be accountable for the decisions that they made.

Later in the show, the always eloquent Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) tried to make a joke (or something) about how Boy Scouts might earn a merit badge from an openly gay troop leader.

Perkins: Even before the ink was dry on the press releases the groups pushing this were demanding that they needed more, this was not enough; they wanted to open up the ranks of leadership to those who openly practice homosexuality.

Gohmert: I wonder what you’d call that merit badge.

Perkins: I don’t know but I’m sure they’ll think of something.

Gohmert claimed that he is “brokenhearted” over the decision, telling Perkins: “You’re going to allow a situation where a seventeen-year-old guy that’s sexually attracted to other guys gets in a little tent with an eleven-year-old new rookie Boy Scout and they spend the night together, night after night at camp? I mean, come on.” He said that the Boy Scouts only made the move over the possible financial benefits and in doing so ignored the Bible.

I was just so brokenhearted over the vote with the Boy Scouts. You’re going to allow a situation where a seventeen-year-old guy that’s sexually attracted to other guys gets in a little tent with an eleven-year-old new rookie Boy Scout and they spend the night together, night after night at camp? I mean, come on. I thought we were making progress. All I can figure is—I was an Eagle Scout, we share so much of the love of scouting—when you hear what happened, the people I talked to are, ‘well just think there are so many corporations that are holding up their donations and if we will just do this all of that money is going to flow to Boy Scouts.’ Are you kidding me? Is money the most important thing in life? Gosh no. You’re blessed so much more if you follow the teachings in the little old rulebook we call the Bible.

Pat Robertson Threatens 'Full-Scale Exposé' of 'Nasty Group' That 'Misconstrues' His Words

After a week-long break from hosting the 700 Club, Pat Robertson returned to the show today bearing a special message…for us! Robertson introduced the question-and-answer portion of the show with a tirade against a group that he declined to name that monitors his show and posts clips online.

“There are organizations, there is one in particular, which I will not name, but it is set out for one purpose: to embarrass those who are conservative on television. So they take my words and they twist them and distort them,” he said.

We have a pretty good idea of who he might be talking about. Robertson specifically referred to our recent post on his response to a question from a woman struggling to preserve her marriage after her husband had an affair. At the time, Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network released a statement saying that the televangelist’s “intent was not to condone infidelity or to cast blame. We regret any misunderstanding.”

According to Robertson, by posting his entire answer and quoting him verbatim we were actually misrepresenting his words to make him look bad, but somehow at the same time we were also helping him because he received a letter endorsing his “advice.”

After co-host Terry Meeuwsen read the encouraging letter, Robertson boasted about his counseling skills and added, “I am not politically correct, in case you haven’t learned; I tell it like it is.”

“This organization misconstrues deliberately, they want to do everything they can to make my words and they twist them,” Robertson said. “I will not identify the organization but one day we may have a full-scale exposé because it’s a nasty group.”

Seeing that Robertson already blamed us for 9/11, we are eagerly waiting to see what more he reveals in his “full-scale exposé.”

Wiles: 'God-Hating Socialists' Are 'Ripping the Heart Out of the American People' With BSA Vote

Within minutes of the news that the Boy Scouts of America had voted to end the organization's ban on gay scouts last week, John Stemberger, who had been leading the fight to retain the ban, announced that he was removing his sons from the program and ending his affiliation with it.

On Friday, Stemberger joined End Times radio host Rick Wiles to discuss the vote as the two lamented that the "God-hating socialists" are "ripping the heart out of the American people" and warning that this was just the latest battle in the revolution being waged by Communist-Marxists to destroy this nation:

Wiles: This is what the God-hating socialists in this country is doing to the fabric of America; they're ripping the heart out of the American people.

Stemberger: Yes.  That's exactly right and it breaks my hear. It literally breaks my heart.

...

Wiles: You know John, what is really sad about this is that the Marxist-Communists that are in control of this country right now - I mean, I don't know how you feel, but we really are under a Communist revolution.  And if anybody is around fifty to a hundred years from now and looks back, they're going to go 'wow, there was a Communist revolution taking place at the beginning of the 21st century.' And whether we survive it or not, that remains to be determined.

But that sad thing is that the Marxist-Communists in America have won on this issue regardless of what happens.  Because if parents keep their boys in the Boy Scouts, the Communists have still won because the boys will be eventually lead towards accepting homosexuality. They're going to destroy the moral culture of hundreds of thousands of boys all over America.

But if parents pull their children out, the Marxist-Communists have won also because they've destroyed a fine organization that for more than a hundred years has stood for honor and integrity and God and country.  So either way, the Marxist-Communists have won on this issue.

Stemberger: Yep. Yep. It's very sad.
