End Times Preacher: 'Perverted' Gays Bringing Divine Judgment On America

End Times radio host Rick Wiles appears to be upset that he has faced criticism for linking gay marriage to the California drought, food shortages and an imminent fireball from space, skewering the criticism on yesterday’s edition of “Trunews.”

While speaking with pastor John Kilpatrick about how God will punish Americans if the Supreme Court strikes down bans on same-sex marriage, Wiles said that “the left-wing media has been mocking me for weeks because I equated the mega-drought with the sin of California and this nation, so they’re having a field day mocking me. But our food basket is being judged right now….The earth is judging us right now.”

“There will be a catering to that perverted sin and that perverted crowd,” Kilpatrick agreed, “there will be a catering to those people on a level that you can’t begin to imagine and also I think it’s going to bring judgment on the country, I believe it will bring judgment on the land.”

Kilpatrick also wondered why Americans are still supporting things like gay rights when they know they will invite God’s judgment: “Years ago, something would happen like an earthquake or something like that, big things happen, people would humble themselves and repent and they’d pray. But, man, nowadays you don’t hear people repenting and praying whenever you see these major things happening, now they refuse to repent and they just keep going headlong right into the face of judgment.”

Tea Party Activist Who Didn't Want Black People To Vote Compares Anti-Islam Event To Selma March

Soon after an event she hosted in Texas was targeted by Islamic extremists, anti-Muslim activist Pamela Geller compared herself to Rosa Parks. Now, some of her allies are comparing her to Martin Luther King, Jr., including, reportedly, one Tea Party activist who previously made headlines for suggesting that he didn’t want black people to vote.

In an interview with Indianapolis talk radio host Greg Garrison yesterday, the Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney recalled attending a Tea Party event in Dallas the night before where Ken Emanuelson, a Tea Party activist who is an advisor to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, compared the attack on Geller’s event to the civil rights march that King led in Selma.

Greg, I was in a Tea Party meeting in Dallas last night, and a guy who was in the room in Garland, Texas, gave a rather chilling account of what happened. And he made an observation at the end of it that I think is directly relevant to how we all should be thinking about this.

You know, there’s been much made of late, particularly thanks to a bestselling movie on the subject of Martin Luther King’s experiences and leadership in Selma, Alabama. And this fellow, Ken Emanuelson, said, ‘You know, this is our Selma. This is a moment when people are telling us we can’t do the right thing, and we have to go right at it and do it, do exactly the right thing. Because if we allow our freedom of speech to be taken away from us, that isn’t the end of it, that’s the beginning.’

This is an interesting comparison coming from Emanuelson, who made headlines a couple of years ago for telling a Texas GOP gathering that “the Republican Party doesn’t want black people to vote if they are going to vote 9-to-1 for Democrats.”

Later in the interview, Gaffney told Garrison that any attempts at “multiculturalism or diversity sensitivity” will just invite “jihad, and the violent kind at that”:

We shouldn’t be under any illusion, that whatever we call this conduct of ours, we follow whatever the smart people are telling us, we engage in political correctness or multiculturalism or diversity sensitivity. The enemy has another name for it. They call it ‘submission.’ And under their doctrine, the Sharia program, the Koran and so on, they are hardwired to respond to submissive behavior on the part of infidels with what? With violence, with more violence. You must make them feel subdued, the Koran says.

So far from making this go away or letting us all be friends or kumbaya or whatever you want to call it, this actually is an exhortation — that’s not how we think of it, but that’s how they see it — an exhortation to redouble the jihad, and the violent kind at that.

Takeover! Jade Helm 15 And Eight Other Obama Plots That Keep The Right Up at Night

It seems that radical right-wing conspiracy theorists have the ear of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who recently ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor a U.S. military exercise called Jade Helm 15. According to many of these far-right activists, Jade Helm 15 is part of a secret effort to take over conservative states like Texas, impose martial lawconfiscate people’s firearmsround up “patriotic men,” force people into cattle cars and lock them up in Wal-Marts that have been converted into FEMA camps.

Abbott has since tried to distance himself from the conspiracy theory, but Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Tex., has demanded — and apparently received — a meeting with military leaders over the matter.

Jade Helm 15 is just the latest in a litany of far-right conspiracy theories about President Obama planning a military takeover of the country. While none of the theories has ever actually panned out, far-right pundits and activists keep inventing new ones, insisting that whoever doesn’t agree with them either doesn’t see the truth or is enabling Obama’s dictatorial agenda.

Remember: Obama’s plot against America goes all the way back to his birth…

1) Barack the Baby Communist

Faith 2 Action founder Janet Porter, who recently worked with Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul and several GOP candidates on a film about how the gay rights movement will “criminalize Christianity,” revealed to WorldNetDaily readers just two weeks into Obama’s first term that she had learned through a chain email that the president had been planted as a baby by Russian communists who would use him to take over America.

“I can’t prove whether it’s true or not, but in light of all that is happening, it just doesn’t seem that far-fetched anymore,” Porter wrote, claiming that the letter was “not some e-mail scam” and that she personally reached out to its source to confirm the details.

According to the email’s author, during the early 1990s he met two Russian scientists, spouses “V.M” and “T.M,” who told him that “you will have a black president very soon and he will be a Communist” … named “Barack.” The Russians continued:

This is not some idle talk. He is already born, and he is educated and being groomed to be president right now. You will be impressed to know that he has gone to the best schools of presidents. He is what you call ‘Ivy League.’ You don’t believe me, but he is real and I even know his name. His name is Barack. His mother is white and American and his father is black from Africa. That’s right, a chocolate baby! And he’s going to be your president.

It’s all been thought out. His father is not an American black, so he won’t have that social slave stigma. He is intelligent and he is half white and has been raised from the cradle to be an atheist and a Communist. He’s gone to the finest schools. He is being guided every step of the way and he will be irresistible to America

The female scientist seemed to know a lot about this young man: “She rattled off a complete litany. He was from Hawaii. He went to school in California. He lived in Chicago. He was soon to be elected to the Legislature. ‘Have no doubt: he is one of us, a Soviet …. [H]e will be a blessing for world Communism. We will regain our strength and become the number one power in the world.’ She continued with something to the effect that America was at the same time the great hope and the great obstacle for Communism. America would have to be converted to Communism, and Barack was going to pave the way.”

A few right-wing activists tried to find proof of this arrangement, alleging that Communist Party mentored and indoctrinated Obama — possibly with the help of marijuana and his “real fatherFrank Marshall Davis — into “Marxism and an anti-White world view.”

As it turned out, every single word in this chain email was true! Maybe. And now, Obama is on the brink of taking over America with his secret squads of Obamacare militias, immigrants, African Americans and/or foreign troops.

2) Obamacare Squads

Before joining the Family Research Council, retired Army Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin released a video with the far-right group the Oak Initiative suggesting that Obama is leading a “Marxist insurgency” in the U.S. He claimed that Obama inserted into the Affordable Care Act a measure that would create a personal army reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s Brownshirts, warning that the president was “laying the groundwork for a constabulary force that will control the population in America.”

Boykin cited a provision in the health care act which prepares medical professionals to respond to emergencies such as a hurricane, along with a 2008 speech that then-candidate Obama delivered about the need to increase funding for groups such as the Peace Corps and AmericaCorps as part of a “civilian national security force,” a move backed by the Bush administration.

Several years later, the Obamacare brownshirts still haven’t materialized, but the 2008 speech remains a source of fodder for conservatives who believe, as then-Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga., put it shortly after Obama’s election, that Obama was doing “exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did.”

Liberty Counsel head Mat Staver agreed with Boykin’s assessment, warning that the health care law created a Brownshirt-style military force loyal to the president.

Porter joined in in 2012, claiming that FEMA Corps, which trains young people to work in disaster response, might actually be “a standing army to stifle dissent” and “part of a new civilian security force that President Obama has called for in speeches.” WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah, who once alleged that Obama sent a secret signal to Muslims to “finish” the Holocaust against the Jews, similarly warned that Obama would soon “move to shut down and destroy all independent media” and would make sure that “his biggest critics will be rounded up in the name of national security.”

3) About That Executive Order…

In 2012, when Obama issued an emergency preparedness executive order similar to ones issued by presidents since Dwight Eisenhower, some right-wing commentators went ballistic since this time, the president was Obama!

Buster Wilson, then a radio host with the American Family Association’s radio network, claimed that the executive order created “the president’s version of the Brownshirts” that was equivalent to “Hitler’s own private civilian army.” Wilson also wondered if the government was setting up FEMA camps stocked with plastic coffins for mass graves.

“He is openly implementing martial law in this country,” InfoWars host Alex Jones said about the executive order. The executive order, Jones claimed, declared that administration officials would have the power to “secretly arrest Americans and disappear us any time they want” and build “the domestic security force that’s just as big and just as strong as the military Obama’s always talked about as the ‘FEMA Corps.’”

One congressman, then-Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, suggested that the president would use the executive order to seize total power. In fact, Stockman speculated that Obama may have deliberately brought Ebola to America in order to create a crisis to justify the implementation of his order granting himself “emergency powers to take over control of the economy and everything.”

4) Ebola! Remember That?

Last year, four people were diagnosed with Ebola while in the U.S., two after travelling from West Africa and two after caring for an Ebola patient at a hospital in Texas. In the eyes of conservatives, this was a widespread pandemic that was all Obama’s fault.

According to Stockman, Obama may have had an “intentional” plan to bring Ebola into the U.S. “in order to create a greater crisis to use it as a blunt force to say, well in order to solve this crisis we’re going to have to take control of the economy and individuals and so forth…. [T]here may be an overreaction where the government starts taking away the rights of those that aren’t that necessarily involved or need that to happen. I hope that’s not that case but, as you know, this current government uses crisis to advance their philosophy and their agenda.”

Conservative talk show host Michael Savage claimed Obama “might use Ebola as a pretext” to “gain even more power.”

“He wants an insurrection,” Savage declared. “He wants a pretext. He wants his Kristallnacht. He wants to take the guns, he wants to arrest people, he wants to detain people for their own safety.”

Radio host Rick Wiles predicted that Ebola was part of “a carefully crafted plan to dismantle the United States of America,” as it would be used “as the cover to round up patriots who resist the takedown of the republic” and set up “Ebola Barry’s Ebola Recovery and Re-Education Camps.”

Another far-right radio host, Laurie Roth, predicted that Obama would deliberately fuel an Ebola outbreak in order to “create a guise to declare martial law due to created outbreaks,” giving him the power to “control speech, food, travel and health care” and even “demand adults and children take some sort of mandated/mystery vaccination that kills off even more people”:

My prediction is that a forced vaccination plan from Obama and his administration is on its way. This will not only allow someone put in control (so Obama can’t be blamed) to release something potentially fatal into our system, but also act as a tracker – the complete end of our privacy and freedom.

Columnists for WorldNetDialy alleged that Ebola was part of Obama’s “orchestrated” plan to cancel the 2016 election, “‘legitimize’ a declaration of martial law in America” and make use of “the $1 billion worth of disposable FEMA coffins supposedly stored in Georgia.”

Prior to the Ebola scare, Porter took to WorldNetDaily to predict that Obama would use swine flu to “round up American citizens” and force them into FEMA concentration camps. She also told WorldNetDaily readers that the president, emulating Nazi Germany and Soviet Union, would create “a food shortage” to see that people are “starved to death.”

5) Obama’s Race War Ruse

Since predictions about Obama’s dastardly plan to infect all other Americans with the Ebola virus in order to seize power didn’t exactly come true, conservative activists have turned to recent demonstrations over issues such as racial profiling as another Obama-orchestrated plot to take control of the country.

Glenn Beck, once again citing Obama’s frequently distorted 2008 speech, said that the riots that broke out during demonstrations in Baltimore in April were part of a “set-up” by the government to engineer civil strife in order to justify a federal takeover of local police units. And, once that happens, “it’s lights out, republic.”

“This is the biggest show ever,” Beck said. “Those riots in Baltimore; that wasn’t real.”

Beck went on to say that this manufactured crisis will soon lead to a full-blown genocide in which millions of people, including Beck himself, will perish.

Others in the right-wing media took similar views. Wiles claimed that protests in Ferguson, Missouri, were all part of a plot to enable “Emperor Obama” to “start a civil war,” which would give him a reason to implement stringent gun control so people could no longer “protect themselves from tyrants.” His fellow conservative talk show host Jesse Lee Peterson said that Obama brought “chaos” to Baltimore just so “he can federalize the police departments around the country.” WorldNetDaily columnist Morgan Brittany claimed that the Baltimore riots were “planned” by the government, which she said is bent on “stirring up unrest” in order to give Obama the justification “to institute martial law to preserve order, form a national police force and postpone the 2016 elections.”

Savage, the conservative radio host, even went so far as to allege that Obama started the riots as a way to send arms to gang members under the pretext of preserving order: “It’s a race war. These are their shock troops, they don’t have the brown shirts yet, they don’t have the armbands, but soon Obama could deputize them. Isn’t that a natural army for him? Take the Crips and the Bloods, give them a green uniform and give them a weapon and they’ll keep order in the streets.”

Well before the Ferguson and Baltimore demonstrations, Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt and far-right pundit Stan Solomon predicted that the president would create a “black force” that would massacre any white people who resisted his plans.

In another interview, Pratt accused Obama of hoping to “bring violence” and “some kind of social implosion to America” as a way to keep power, with Solomon warning of “an explosion of attacks on haves by have-nots” and “more specifically on white haves by black have-nots; more specifically on Christian, heterosexual white haves by black, Muslim and/or atheist — not that there’s much difference — black have-nots.”

6) Bundy Ranch Standoff

The short-lived standoff between federal law enforcement and Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher and Fox News darling who refused to pay grazing fees for his cattle or to recognize the legal authority of the U.S. government, gave another opportunity for right-wing commentators to warn of an imminent federal takeover spurred on by Obama-instigated violence.

WorldNetDaily columnist Erik Rush pointed to the Bundy standoff as proof that “the federal government intends to control everything,” including “our food supply.” Denouncing President Obama as a someone who “embodies the diabolical Manchurian President, clandestinely working to destroy America,” Rush warned that the Bundy standoff might have been a test case for imminent FEMA camp internment.

“Do we wait until a family is slaughtered because they opened fire on government agents executing an illegal raid on their home?” he asked. “Do we wait until Department of Homeland Security operatives come around to arrest ‘domestic terrorists’ as designated by Harry Reid and ship them off to FEMA camps?”

Televangelist Gordon Klingenschmitt, who has since been elected to the Colorado legislature, said that the federal government dug “mass graves” near the ranch to hold the bodies of the “cowboys” they planned to murder. Wiles had a similar theory:

Civil unrest is brewing, the Obamanistas have tried a number of tactics to insult and infuriate the American people to respond with violence…. I expect dirty Harry Reid and his Washington sidekick Barry Soetoro will send federal agents back to Nevada this summer and my fear is that federal snipers will take out a bunch of cowboys and militia men.

Stewart Rhodes, the founder of Oath Keepers, a radical group which fears that concentration camps are coming to the U.S., stopped by a press conference at the National Press Club to deliver a “message for the feds out there” and the “idiot” Obama that the Bundy standoff could have “kicked off a civil war in this country.” Mike Vanderboegh of the Three Percenters militia said that officials such as Harry Reid were “promising us all civil war on a vast scale” through “state-sponsored violence” intended to crush freedom.

7) Obama’s Immigrant Army

Not only will Obama have loyal armies of doctors, AmeriCorps members, black protesters and gang members, but he will also, according to several conspiracy theorists, create a force of undocumented immigrants — specifically young Central American refugees escaping the drug war — to do his bidding.

Pratt, the gun lobbyist, claimed last year that Obama was forming a private “Praetorian Guard” composed of undocumented immigrants, each “loyal to the guy that brought him” into the country.

Anti-immigrant activist William Gheen offered his own version of this prediction, alleging that the federal government was “going to give the illegal immigrants badges, they’re going to give them guns, and they’re going to put them in positions of authority over Americans in every way imaginable. So when you step out your door and there’s a knock at the door, you’re going to be looking at the new face of the state, which is the prior illegal immigrants that now have a badge and a gun and dominion over you.”

Gheen added that the Obama administration was “supporting the organized and well-funded illegal alien invasion of our homeland” and therefore has “the blood of many thousands of Americans on their hands that have been killed, injured raped and robbed by illegal immigrants,” warning that “center-right, Christian, heterosexual” men were particularly at risk.

Gheen even told Jones, the “InfoWars” host, that the young immigrants were the pawns and child soldiers of U.S. “elites” who want to subjugate patriotic Christians: “They’re willing to literally say and do anything that their new masters call on them to do to protect their position. Once Obama rams these ‘kids’ in, gives them their Obamaphone, enrolls them in Obamacare, puts them in a public school, pays for their housing, pays for their food…these people will do anything that their leaders call on them to do and I do mean anything.”

Alan Keyes wondered if Obama, whom he thinks wants to become America’s “Führer,” was “importing” immigrants “in order to facilitate what I think is an overthrow of our Constitution.”

WorldNetDaily’s resident health “expert” Elizabeth Lee Vliet claimed that the government would use a “flood of illegals” who carry exotic diseases to “overwhelm and collapse the economic and social systems, in order to replace them with a ‘new socialist order’ under federal control.”

8) Obama’s Atheist/Islamic/Canadian/Alien Army

Building off the birther conspiracy theory that Obama is not a U.S.-born citizen and the general right-wing belief that he is not a real American, several conservative activists believe that the president will use foreign forces, outside of just immigrants and health care workers, to oppress Americans.

According to Bill Federer, a Religious Right “historian,” the Arab Spring was designed by nefarious forces who wanted to create a surge in Muslim refugees who would then settle in the U.S. in order to establish Islamic “sleeper cells.” Soon, these sleeper cells would “get a signal to have Ferguson riots in malls across America,” which would give Obama the justification to “restore order” by setting up a “militarized dictatorship.” Obama, Federer warned, could follow in the footsteps of Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and Pol Pot in killing millions of Christians.

Federer cited a man named Avi Lipkin, who apparently heard from his wife, who heard from an unspecified Arabic-language broadcast, about a plot to bring millions of Muslim refugees into the country in order to bring about Sharia law. Lipkin alleged that Obama was “going to bring in 50 to 100 million Muslims” and settle them in national parks and “lands confiscated by Agenda 21” — a sustainable development initiative that is at the center of its very own right-wing conspiracy theory — ultimately forcing America to “surrender its Christianity” in the face of a new “Muslim majority.” Then, Obama would establish a “dictatorship” … with the help of “the Masons, the Illuminati [and] the Trilateral Commission.”

Lipkin and Federer, however, don’t hold a candle to Jim Garrow, a right-wing activist who believes that Obama tried to kill 300 million Americans with an EMP attack for the sake of enriching George Soros and giving him the chance to live in a luxurious bunker underneath the White House. Garrow also believes that Obama will try to improve his poll numbers by claiming that he is able to communicate with aliens, but if they plummet any further and Americans start to revolt, then Obama will “ask [Canadian Prime Minister Stephen] Harper to send troops into America to help quell the rioting and vice versa.”

Garrow shared his very plausible anti-Obama conspiracy theories with far-right radio hosts including Wiles, Rush and Jones. Garrow told Jones in detail about Obama’s EMP plot, which he said was only stopped as a result of divine intervention, along with the president’s failed plan to detonate a nuclear device near Charleston, South Carolina. Fortunately, the nuke, Garrow said, was detonated safely off the coast by heroic military officials. He cited the deaths of dolphins (who were likely killed by the BP oil spill) as proof.

Jones talked to another “real source” about the need to “brace for a nuclear attack in South Carolina,” who alleged that Charleston was the target because of the presence of U.S. submarines: “This is a false flag operation, a major false flag, that is about to occur because if they take out our naval base in Charleston, they will cripple about one-third of our fleet ballistic missile submarine force.”

“Everything they are doing is like trying to set America up,” Jones replied, wondering if “Obama is like a triple agent of the globalists, we know that, and they are maneuvering America towards a set-up to destroy us and then Homeland Security will then detonate nukes in all of our bases as an inside sneak attack.”

“This ultimately reeks of yet another false flag being orchestrated by the United States government in order to send us into war,” Jones said in another commentary about the matter. “I just wish to God that this wasn’t happening,” he said.

This is the same Alex Jones who launched Jade Helm 15 into the GOP mainstream and led to such a fear that the governor of Texas ordered the National Guard to monitor the U.S. military during the drill.

Of course, when one conspiracy theory fails to materialize, radio hosts like Alex Jones just move on to the next one, and then eventually, Republican politicians just move along with them.

As Rick Santorum found out, among the party’s base — as many of one-third of whom think Obama will invade Texas — at least some people think that it is an established fact that “Obama tried to blow up a nuke in Charleston.”

End Times Fanatic Who Blamed California Drought On Gays Addresses RNC Caucus Meeting

Days after blaming the California drought on gay people, Bill Koenig of World Watch Daily addressed a meeting organized by the Republican National Committee’s Conservative Steering Committee.

Michigan RNC member Dave Agema, a GOP activist with his own record of anti-gay extremism, mentioned on his Facebook page yesterday that Koenig told the group, which met in Arizona yesterday during the RNC’s spring meeting, that God punished George W. Bush and Bill Clinton for mistreating Israel, and will levy a similarly harsh judgment against President Obama.

According to Agema, Koenig also “gave a history of the ‘Blood Moons’ and how they intertwined with Israel’s history.” Another speaker from the anti-gay Alliance Defense Fund, Agema reported, “stated that religious freedom is under attack. She stated our rights come from God, not men according to our constitution [sic] and that if the Supreme Court rules for homosexual marriage our tax exempt status is at great risk.”

The Conservative Steering Committee, which Agema estimated had about “approximately 70-80 members” in attendance at the breakfast, filed an amicus brief written by RNC attorney Jim Bopp [PDF] in the Supreme Court marriage case, warning that children will “suffer” as a result of marriage equality.

At the RNC Conservative Steering Committee breakfast this morning in Phoenix, we had several speakers.

First you all should know that this committee sent a [sic] Amicus brief to the Supreme Court against homosexual marriage. We all hope it makes a difference. The Republican Party has always supported traditional marriage.

William Koenig ( watch.org), a Washington correspondent spoke on the history of what happens when a president or country tries to divide Israel for peace. He stated- it never works.

He stated that one of the most frequent visitors to the Whitehouse under Clinton was Arafat. He stated Obama's behavior towards Israel , abortion and marriage is undermining his presidency. He also stated that George W. Bush's presidency began to falter after he agreed to consider dividing Israel for peace and that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem. He also gave a history of the " Blood Moons" and how they intertwined with Israel's history.

David McIntosh spoke from Club for Growth and encouraged us to hold our elected officials feet to the fire concerning free markets, free trade, reduce spending, reduced entitlements and crony capitalism. He stated the next president will have an opportunity to select four Supreme Court Justices which is a huge win for conservatives if a good republican wins the presidency.

He stated that Israel understands that the Republicans are the best allies Israel has in America and they appreciate it in these troubled times. He stated that those who curse Israel will be cursed and those that bless her will be blessed.

Christina from the Alliance Defending Freedom stated that religious freedom is under attack. She stated our rights come from God, not men according to our constitution and that if the Supreme Court rules for homosexual marriage our tax exempt status is at great risk. She stated economic and religious liberty go hand in hand and that most important issues aren't often popular but a battle that must be fought. It takes vigilance.

There were approximately 70-80 members at this breakfast and it gives me great hope for our party's future when we I see members united for conservative principles.

Right-Wing Pundits: If Feminists Hate Men, Why Do They Want To Be Like Them?

Yesterday, Iowa conservative talk radio host Steve Deace invited Suzanne Venker, an anti-feminist activist and niece of Phyllis Schlafly, on to his program to discuss her latest Fox News article explaining why it’s all women’s fault that they can’t find husbands.

Deace took the opportunity to make a very important point about feminism, or at least his impression of what feminism is. “Explain to me,” he asked Venker, “why if feminists disdain the unique traits of masculinity, why they are so eager to bestow them upon themselves and to absorb them into their own paradigm. I don’t understand that.”

“I wish I could, but that is the ultimate paradox,” she responded. “And I think when it’s pointed out, that distinctly, which you did, it’s just so obvious that nobody should really associate themselves with this movement, because that in itself makes absolutely no sense.”

“There’s no question that they are disdainful of masculinity, that is just not debatable,” she added. “But at the same time, you’re saying, you don’t need a man…because you’re basically capable of everything he is capable of and you should aspire to be like a man in your life. That’s what makes you powerful and of value and equal to them. Which, as you say, makes no sense because you just said masculinity sucks. So make up your mind.”

Ted Cruz: Gay Marriage Is The Greatest Threat To Religious Freedom In American History

Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, the Republican presidential candidate who believes that the gay “jihad” may soon lead to the imprisonment of pastors and the end of free speech, told a right-wing radio host yesterday that the legalization of same-sex marriage represents the greatest threat to religious liberty in the history of the United States.

“We are seeing today profound threats to religious liberty in America, I think the greatest threats we’ve ever seen,” Cruz told conservative author and talk radio host Eric Metaxas.

Cruz said that the fights over “religious freedom” laws in Indiana and Arkansas were “heartbreaking” examples of how the Democratic Party has “gotten so extreme and so radical in its devotion to mandatory gay marriage that they’ve decided there’s no room for the religious liberty protected under the First Amendment.”

He added that while “Democrats joined with big business in vilifying an effort to protect our religious liberty,” too many Republican leaders and presidential candidates “ran and hid in the hills.”

“We’re a nation that was founded by men and women who were fleeing religious oppression and coming to seek out a land where everyone of us could worship God Almighty with all of our hearts, minds and souls, and that is under profound jeopardy today,” Cruz said.

Cruz later claimed that Solicitor General Donald Verrilli had said during last month’s Supreme Court marriage equality arguments that if marriage equality is legalized nationwide, the IRS will start denying tax-exempt status to churches. (In the exchange Cruz referred to, Verrilli had said nothing of the sort.)

“The next step on this,” he said, “is your church being told it now pays income taxes on the tithes that are given each week, that it is now singled out and discriminated against, that universities like Notre Dame or Georgetown and Brigham Young or any university that is founded as a Christian university, if it continues to follow biblical teachings on marriage, the federal government is asserting the power to discriminate and persecute them.” This led Metaxas to warn of “parallels” to what occured in Nazi Germany.

Metaxas seemed to be pleased with Cruz’s responses, especially compared to his GOP presidential rival Jeb Bush, whom Metaxas criticized for failing to forcefully denounce marriage equality and hiring “top people in his campaign who are very aggressively pro-same-sex-marriage.”

Steve King: There Is No Anti-Muslim Discrimination In America

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, said yesterday that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson’s promise earlier this year to “give voice to the plight of Muslims living in this country and the discrimination that they face” was “just appalling,” adding that he does not believe Muslim-Americans face any discrimination.

Iowa talk radio host Jan Mickelson played King a clip of Johnson’s remarks at a February summit on violent extremism, asking incredulously, “So the guy that we put in charge of homeland security thinks that it’s his job as chief of the homeland security to give voice to Muslims while calling Islam the religion of peace?”

“This is just appalling to think that the man who’s in charge of protecting Americans domestically would take a position like that, Jan,” King responded.

“The president can dredge up his Crusader history and try to leverage that back against us to guilt us,” he said, referring to President Obama’s remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, “but what’s this discrimination that’s going on against Muslims in this country? I’m not seeing it. I mean, they’re beheading Christians on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, and some people are speaking ill of that component. So where are the moderate Muslims speaking up?”

Anti-Gay Pundit: Homosexuality 'A Factor' In Amtrak Crash

Anti-gay pundits such as Charles C. Johnson and the editors of WorldNetDaily are making hay over the news that the engineer of the fatal Amtrak crash in Philadelphia on Tuesday was a supporter of gay rights and may be gay himself.

Today on her radio program, American Family Association governmental affairs director Sandy Rios also mentioned the engineer’s sexual orientation, saying it was likely “a factor” the crash.

“Now I am not saying, I am not inferring to those of you that are gay rights activists and like to monitor this show, I’m not inferring that this accident happened because he was gay, but I do think it’s an interesting part of the story and you can bet it would be edited out,” Rios said. She then suggested that the engineer could have possibly been “going through some confusion that has to do with the very core of who they are,” and mentioned the story of an airline pilot who “put his entire plane at risk because he had an emotional, angry outburst to something that happened,” which she says was related to hormone therapy he was receiving.

Rios added: “I don’t know, but I think it is something to be discussed and I think it’s a factor and I doubt you will hear it anywhere else.”

Louie Gohmert: 2009 Hate Crimes Law Will Criminalize The Bible

It has now been more than five years since the passage of the 2009 Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which anti-gay activists predicted would lead to the end of free speech and the criminalization of the Bible. None of these predictions has yet to come true, but that hasn’t stopped Rep. Louie Gohmert from warning that the catastrophic consequences of the hate-crimes law will materialize any day now.

The Texas Repubilcan joined Florida talk radio host Joyce Kaufman yesterday to discuss the attempted attack on a Texas anti-Islam event hosted by Pamela Geller. Kaufman was not pleased with Bill O’Reilly for criticizing Geller’s event, which she said was an attack on Geller’s free speech. This made Gohmert think of the hate-crimes law, which he said was also an attack on free speech and was useless anyway because “people who have this kind of hate, they have the best chance of being rehabilitated.”

The government will eventually use the hate-crimes law, he said, to charge Christians who quote the Bible with “hate speech.”

“I mentioned some years back that hate crimes, eventually, somebody is going to bring that up when a Christian says, ‘I believe what Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, the life, nobody goes to the Father but through me,"’” Gohmert said. “That is hate speech. You’re saying that nobody else but you goes to Heaven? That’s hate speech. I mean, this is where it ultimately goes if we’re not free to say what we believe and have disagreements about it without being shot.”

Right-Wing Radio Host: Don't Buy Girl Scout Cookies Since The 'Freaks' 'Pimp Abortion And Gender Identity Garbage'

Yesterday, Houston-based conservative talk show host Sam Malone lashed out at Girl Scouts troops that accept transgender girls, lamenting that the organization’s “wheels fell off the truck a long time ago.” “That’s just as close as godless and communism as you can get,” Malone said of the Girl Scouts, before arguing — falsely — that the Girl Scouts “took God out of their oath.”

“The Girl Scouts are a joke,” he continued, “and now the Girl Scouts welcome transgender, trannies, whatever.”

Malone added that he refuses to buy Girl Scout cookies since the group “pimps abortion and gender identity garbage” to kids: “I don’t buy the cookies. I don’t want nothing to do with that organization. You drop God, you drop Sam. You drop ethics, you drop morality, you drop the sanctity of life and you pimp abortion and gender identity garbage — what kind of a freak are you?”

Conservative Pundit: LGBT Equality Leads To Islamic Domination

Religious Right “historian” Bill Federer appeared on the American Family Radio show “Today’s Issues” yesterday to promote his book, “American Minute,” which he said is needed more than ever because Americans are forgetting about their Christian history, leading to Islamic rule.

Federer claimed that Europe “went from a Judeo-Christian past into a neutral-secular-gay-agenda present and now it’s going into an Islamic future,” arguing that “the sexual confusion agenda is simply a transition phase” that will soon “be taken over by Islam.”

The U.S. military, Federer said, is undergoing such a process, claiming that Christian service members are being “pushed out or into the closet” as the result of gay rights laws, “and now we are seeing the introduction of Islam and these proselytizing classes under the guise of teaching you to be sensitive to the Muslim, but they are making large numbers of converts to Islam in the military.”

And we all know how prescient Federer’s analysis of history can be, as he once wondered if Obama will start a war and fake an assassination attempt against him in order to win the 2016 election.

Jesse Lee Peterson: African Americans Were Better Off Before Civil Rights

Conservative talk show host Jesse Lee Peterson told WorldNetDaily in an interview today that African-American “civil-rights leaders” are “worse than the Ku Klux Klan and skinheads combined,” blaming them for the recent riots in Baltimore.

WND notes that Peterson believes “that African-Americans are worse off now than they were before the civil rights movement.” The right-wing pundit told the outlet that African Americans can only make progress once they “overcome their false sense of victimhood and stop blaming whites.”

“Modern-day civil-rights leaders are the worst enemy of black Americans,” he charged. “These black ‘leaders’ are worse than the Ku Klux Klan and skinheads combined.”

Peterson believes the situation in Baltimore is an outgrowth of the culture of grievance adopted by too many African-Americans. He even charges that African-Americans are worse off now than they were before the civil rights movement.

“Blacks are less independent. The black family unit, for the most part, has been destroyed. Blacks today are more dependent on government programs and handouts,” he said.

“I cannot think of any notable positive developments taking place at this time,” he said. Regarding the disintegration of public order in Baltimore, Peterson said nothing will change unless blacks stop trying to blame everyone else for their community’s problems.

“Blacks need to get over their ‘blackness’ and become Americans rather than ‘African-Americans,’” he said. “They must overcome their false sense of victimhood and stop blaming whites. They need to stop relying on the government and leaders so they can become independent and think for themselves.”

End Times Pundits: Pope Francis Turning Church Into The Whore Of Babylon

The Vatican’s decision yesterday to recognize Palestine as an independent state upset two End Times commentators, who told WorldNetDaily that the move may potentially lead to millions of deaths, a surge in anti-Semitism and the Last Days.

Joel Richardson claimed that Catholic Church under Pope Francis “has capitulated to the spirit of the age, has turned their back on the God of Israel, and has stumbled headlong into the darkness,” while Carl Gallups alleged that the move “gives credence to the theory of many evangelicals that the church is foretold in Revelation as the Harlot and will be given over to apostasy.”

The diplomatic recognition of the “state of Palestine” by the Vatican will open the door to a new wave of anti-Semitism and endanger millions of Israeli Jews and Arabs, charge several leading evangelicals who have written about the end times.

And the controversial decision by Pope Francis is even leading to allegations the Roman Catholic Church will be an adversary to Christians and the state of Israel during those times. New York Times bestselling author and filmmaker Joel Richardson slammed the decision as “an act of profound hatred toward the Jewish people globally.”

“To support a Palestinian state without demanding that they first unequivocally renounce and repent of their plans for the Jewish people is to have a hand in the violence that follows,” he said. “Today the Catholic Church has committed an act deeply grievous to the God it claims to represent.”

Talk-show host, pastor and author Carl Gallups agrees that the impact of the Vatican’s decision will be catastrophic. However, the author of “Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation” says he isn’t surprised.

Gallups told WND: “This really should come as no huge shock to the world, especially to the Christian world, because this pope has made similar statements supporting the Palestinian cause. As far as I know, this is the first time he’s called for a Palestinian state explicitly, however. And this is disturbing prophetically and geopolitically, because it will fuel the current wave of anti-Semitism that is sweeping the globe.

“It is important to remember there has never been a nation state in that area except Israel. So some kind of ‘Palestinian nation’ is only going to be used to fuel this fire by the leftists and godless who are mobilized by hatred of Israel and Jews. Though I’m an evangelical, I find it so tragic that this statement is coming from the pope, who so many believe should be a bastion of Christianity. But this pope is a leftist theologically speaking and politically speaking,” he said.

Gallups says the foreign-policy stance of the Vatican may presage deep divisions between the Roman Catholic Church and evangelical Christians.

“This decision gives credence to the theory of many evangelicals that the church is foretold in Revelation as the Harlot and will be given over to apostasy,” he said. “It’s very disturbing but not completely shocking coming from this pope and at this time in history. Again, we are living in prophetic times.

Richard [sic] said that in recognizing Palestine as its own state, the Catholic Church “has capitulated to the spirit of the age, has turned their back on the God of Israel, and has stumbled headlong into the darkness.”

Gun Lobbyist: Concealed Carry Is 'The Death Knell For Terrorists'

In an interview with Dove TV on Tuesday, Gun Owners of America Communications Director Erich Pratt claimed that laws permitting concealed carry of firearms will be “the death knell for terrorists” because “the only way that you’re going to stop” terrorist attacks is with a heavily armed populace.

Discussing the attack on an anti-Islam event in Garland, Texas, which was thwarted when local and federal law enforcement officers shot the attackers, host Perry Atkinson told Pratt, “In some ways the war on terror in America now has been unleashed at a new level. Wouldn’t that become gun owners’ greatest defense?”

“Oh absolutely,” Pratt responded. “That is the only way that you’re going to stop this, because terrorists are notorious showing up at a scene, gunning down a bunch of people, and then they run back into the woods, type of scenario. But what happened in Texas is textbook for how you deal with this.”

Citing a debunked report of an ISIS training camp in Mexico and “all kinds of reports of Middle Eastern people who are coming across our southern border,” Pratt said the Garland attack was “just a reminder that people need to exercise their right to keep and bear arms.”

“And the more and more that people are carrying, we’ve actually seen violent crime rates dropping,” Pratt said, demonstrating a grasp of statistics reminiscent of his father, GOA director Larry Pratt. “It’s very interesting, just in the last five years, the number of concealed carry permit holders has doubled in this country, and yet at the same time, the gun murder rate has dropped 12 percent. So we’re literally seeing more guns, less crime. And that approach is the death knell for terrorists. They can’t deal with that.

Penny Nance: Girl Scout Transgender Policy A 'Slap In The Face To Christian Parents'

Concerned Women for America’s Penny Nance joined the American Family Radio program “Today’s Issues” yesterday to discuss the Girl Scouts of America’s policy to accept transgender young people “on a case-by-case basis,” which she called “just one more slap in the face to Christian parents.”

When AFA President Tim Wildmon asked Nance about the Girl Scouts’ “venture into sexual anarchy,” Nance responded that since the 1970s, the Girl Scouts has been “starting to lurch to the left,” falsely claiming that “they took God out of the pledge” and citing a right-wing meme about the group tweeting an article that mentioned pro-choice proponent Wendy Davis.

“And now this latest thing is just one more slap in the face to Christian parents,” she said, “which is now you don’t have to be a girl to be a member of Girl Scouts. You can just be questioning your gender or a boy who would like to be a girl.”

“I think this is a place, frankly, for the church to be the church and for people that are marginalized in society, for us to love them,” she added, “but we also can’t lose our minds.”

Nance made some of the same points in an interview with Fox News’ Elizabeth Hasselbeck earlier this week:

Rick Wiles: God Is Sending Drought And Famine To Punish Us For Gay Marriage, Legal Abortion

Yesterday on “Trunews,” End Times radio host Rick Wiles said that God is using bird flu and other viruses, along with the California drought, to punish America until it decides to ban same-sex marriage and criminalize abortion.

“Add it up: Bird flu is killing tens of millions of chickens and turkeys, a mysterious virus is killing millions of piglets, a mysterious colony-collapse disorder is killing billions of honeybees, California is in the throes of a mega-drought unlike anything seen in over 1,200 years. Why? The answer is very simple: America is in a state of rebellion against almighty God,” Wiles said.

Americans are “obsessed with sexual perversion” and “murder millions of babies,” Wiles said, “and we wonder why the food supply is diminishing? God is cutting off America’s food supply. It will get worse in the days ahead if the nation does not repent.” Wiles claimed the U.S. can repent by “shutting down the abortion clinics, all of them” and “abolishing same-sex marriage,” along with “closing down the pornography industry.”

“If this nation does not repent, the final stage of judgment will be sent: it is war,” Wiles said. “If America refuses to humble herself before almighty God, he will humble us before foreign conquerors who will possess the land that he gave to our ancestors who were devout Christians.”

Another End Times newscaster, Bill Koenig of World Watch Daily, has similarly linked the California drought to marriage equality and abortion rights.

Anti-Gay Missouri GOP House Speaker Caught Sexting With Intern

The Kansas City Star today reported that the speaker of the Missouri House, Republican John Diehl, sent several sexually charged text messages to a female college freshman who was working as an intern in the state legislature.

Diehl, who is married, has championed the Religious Right’s anti-gay agenda in the state house, and has in turn been praised by state conservative groups for his “moral leadership.”

Earlier this year, Diehl and the president pro-tempore of the state Senate filed an amicus brief in defense of the state’s anti-gay-marriage amendment, leading the Missouri Family Policy Council, the state affiliate of the Family Research Council, to praise the speaker “for demonstrating moral leadership and true integrity in standing up for the sacred institution of marriage and the family values of the people of Missouri.” The state affiliate of the Southern Baptist Convention thanked him for “fighting to defend biblical marriage.”

“Missourians owe a debt of gratitude to Speaker of the House Tim Jones, Senate President Pro Tempore Tom Dempsey and Speaker of the House-designee John Diehl for intervening on behalf of the state in the Jackson County case where state Circuit Judge J. Dale Youngs ruled that 10 same-sex couples married in other states, but now living in Missouri, are entitled to the same benefits as heterosexual married couples,” said Don Hinkle, editor of the Missouri Southern Baptist newsletter The Pathway. “Their action took political courage and they are to be commended for their leadership.”

Diehl also co-sponsored a 2012 bill to ban Gay-Straight Alliances in public schools, which read: “Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, no instruction, material, or extracurricular activity sponsored by a public school that discusses sexual orientation other than in scientific instruction concerning human reproduction shall be provided in any public school.”

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch at the time called it a “hateful and unconstitutional attack on individual rights” and slammed Diehl for backing “a loathsome bill in a cynical attempt to garner support from the right wing.”

Fischer: Gays Should Be Banned From Working For The TSA

On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer called for gay people to be banned from working for the Transportation Security Administration on the grounds that gay security screeners at airports are "repeatedly" sexually assaulting passengers.

Citing literally four examples, Fischer declared that incidents of "passengers being sexually groped by TSA agents of the same sex" are being reported "almost every day" and so the only logical solution is to ban gay people from working for the TSA.

"Just based on recent experience, based on what's happening, based on passenger complaints," Fischer said, "I'm thinking maybe it's time for the TSA, maybe it makes sense, just common sense, if our concern is to protect passenger safety, if our concern is to protect the sexual integrity of those that fly America's airways, then one of the things we may need to do at the TSA is start discriminating in our hiring practices on the basis of sexual orientation":

Herb Titus: Gay Marriage Will Lead To Slavery And Death

Christian reconstructionist Herb Titus, one of the leaders of the Christian Nationalist movement, appeared on “Trunews” earlier this week to speak with host Rick Wiles about “what is at stake in the upcoming Supreme Court decision about same sex marriage.”

According to Titus, quite a bit, as he predicted that marriage equality will lead to the enslavement of Christians and even their deaths. Titus warned that soon enough, gay rights advocates will ban opponents of same-sex marriage from taking jobs as lawyers and doctors by denying them government licenses. Future lawyers and doctors, Titus and Wiles predicted, will soon have to renounce their faith just to receive their credentials.

“Christians would eventually be reduced to the social status of gypsies,” Wiles said, to which Titus replied: “We’ll become slaves.”

Titus added that the remaining Christians in the U.S. will be forced to pay a form of the Jizya, a tax relegating non-Muslims to second-class citizenship. “Very much in the Islamic tradition, you basically are fined or you’re taxed if you’re going to live, but you better keep your mouth shut because if you don’t we’ll kill you,” Titus said.

Titus also claimed that American Christians will face the same kind of state-sponsored discrimination and “reeducation” experienced by Christians under communism, warning that gay people “are already placed in very high positions” in the government.

“You see an infiltration at the highest levels of people who are either involved in the same-sex lifestyle or who are very sympathetic to it and supportive of it,” Titus said. “Plus the fact that what you see is that these people are vicious, they don’t hold back, they threaten not just with lawsuits but also with threats of force. They are very much like the Muslim juggernaut we are seeing around the world. We should not be surprised if they will use legal force along with illegal force to get there way.”

Wiles added, “We are being confronted by the ‘gaystapo.’”

Rape Exception In Abortion Ban Divides Anti-Choice Movement

As the House prepares to vote on a bill banning abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, a top priority of the biggest anti-choice groups in the country, a leader of the “personhood” movement is urging members of Congress to vote against the bill because it includes an exemption for survivors of rape and incest.

On Monday, Daniel Becker, head of the new Personhood Alliance, called into the radio program hosted by Cleveland Right to Life’s Molly Smith, telling her that he was in Washington lobbying lawmakers to oppose the bill because of the rape exceptions, which he said some Georgia representatives had already agreed to do.

[UPDATE: It seems that Becker's vote count was optimistic. All Georgia Republicans voted for the 20-week ban — including Rep. Rob Woodall, who voted against it in 2013 — except for Rep. Jody Hice, who voted "present."]

The last time the bill was put up for a vote, in 2013, Becker — then the head of Georgia Right to Life — did the same thing, openly defying the national groups that were pushing for the bill’s passage. A rape exception had been hastily added to the bill before it was put up for a vote in because of controversial remarks on pregnancy by rape made by the bill’s sponsor, Arizona Republican Trent Franks. The House was scheduled to vote on the bill again in January on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, but the vote was cancelled as another dispute over the rape language erupted in the GOP caucus.

Becker told Smith that “behind closed doors,” anti-choice groups acknowledge that there is no chance for the bill to be enacted during Obama’s presidency, meaning that it is “a messaging bill” — one which he argued was sending the wrong message.

Becker emphasized that while no-exceptions anti-choice advocates like himself share the same ultimate goal, the criminalization of abortion, leaders of the major national groups have shown themselves willing to compromise on issues like rape exceptions. The two sides of the movement just differ on strategy, he said.

“The message that we send should comport completely with our policy objectives, beginning at the beginning of the pro-life movement itself,” he said. “We as a movement have never disagreed on our policy objectives. We have merely bickered and disagreed over strategy, what can be accomplished, what should be tried, what this will accomplish if we do this, that or the other. But as far as our objectives, it’s to stand for the sanctity of life, man created imago dei, in the image of God, and that sanctity of life should be protected at its earliest biological beginning all the way to natural death. So we’re seeing a message bill being crafted in Washington, DC, that has no chance of saving a single life.”

He insisted that such a no-exceptions message would play well with voters: “When we bring it down to a baby’s rights, a child’s rights, as opposed to the mother’s rights, the baby always wins in the mind of the public in most cases.”

Smith lamented that the vote merely presented an opportunity for members of Congress to get “a tick beside their names form some of these larger pro-life organizations” in election-year candidate guides.

“Molly, you’ve lifted the covers on an ugly secret,” Becker responded, “and that is the pro-life leadership are electing moderates into positions of influence that are undermining our efforts behind closed doors.”

Renee Ellmers, the North Carolina congresswoman who led the revolt against the version of the bill that exempted rape survivors only if they filed a police report, “was projected to be the darling child of Susan B. Anthony List,” Becker said.

“She was going to be the future of the pro-life movement, and she was the one who shut down the bill, much to their chagrin, who they later demonized. How do you take the future savior and demonize them at the same time? It’s because they’re electing moderates with rape and incest exceptions. If we were electing conservatives who knew what the value of human life entailed, they’d be right on the marriage issue, fiscal policy and government issues across the board.”
