Fischer: Obama Uneasy About Afghanistan Because 'His Sympathies Are With The Islamic Faith'

Over the last few days, Bryan Fischer has dedicated several segments of his radio show to discussing the claims made by former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in his new book, especially Gates' assertion that President Obama had serious doubts about the strategy his administration was pursuing in Afghanistan.

On his show today, Fischer speculated that Obama's doubts were rooted in the fact that Obama is "disparaging of Christianity" because "his sympathies are with the Islamic faith." As such, Obama didn't want to send US troops into Afghanistan "because they were going to be killing Muslims"

Liberty Counsel Honors Israeli Government Days After It Adopts 'World's Most Liberal' Abortion Policy

Just two days after Israel’s cabinet approved a new policy extending government abortion subsidies to all women ages 20-33, the staunchly anti-choice Liberty Counsel released an alert entitled, “Stand With Israel Now,” complete with a photograph of Benjamin Netanyahu with Liberty Counsel head Mat Staver.

“There has never been a more critical time for you to show your support to Israel and its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu! Become a Liberty Ambassador to Israel and have your faith strengthened and your resolve fortified to stand for Israel,” the group writes. “In light of the failed foreign policies of our current American administration, it has never been a more important time to express our unwavering resolve to stand united with Israel.”

Matt Barber, Staver’s deputy at Liberty Counsel, has praised Netanyahu as the “Leader of the Free World” who turned Israel into “the shining city on the hill,” unlike President Obama whom the group regularly berates as “one of the world’s immoral leaders.”

The group accuses Obama of implementing “forced abortion funding” and “rubbing the aborted babies in the face of every single American.” They also argue that God will punish America for Obama’s “self-destructive” pro-choice stance, and have linked abortion rights to SatanslaveryNazism and the Holocaust.

Just a few months ago, Staver and Barber insisted that if they were to remain silent in their opposition to abortion rights, they would be just as bad as “those who silently stood by and allowed the Nazis to murder millions of Jews.” “Silence is affirmation,” Staver said. “If you are silent on this issue, you are affirming that this is something that is acceptable.”

“Posterity will view those who stood in silence or who tacitly accepted this abortion holocaust just as history views those who silently stood by and allowed the Nazis to murder millions of Jews,” Barber said, adding: “Are we comparing the pro-choice movement to the Nazi movement? Yes! Absolutely.”

Now, imagine if it was the Obama administration rather than Netanyahu’s cabinet which adopted a far-reaching policy that the Times of Israel calls one of the “most liberal abortion coverage [policies] in the world”?

But so far from Liberty Counsel, there are no calls for Netanyahu’s ouster, no comparisons to Nazism and no warnings of divine wrath.

Instead just a statement entitled, “Stand With Israel Now.”

GOP Congressman Peddles DOMA 2.0: 'State Marriage Defense Act'

Less than a year after Supreme Court invalidated a key portion of the Defense of Marriage Act, a Republican Congressman is offering a bill that would make it more difficult for married same-sex couples to receive legal recognition.

Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX) has introduced the “State Marriage Defense Act,” which would prohibit the federal government from recognizing the marriages of same-sex couples who live in states that don’t acknowledge their union (for instance, a couple who gets married in Iowa and then moves to Alabama). The bill would undermine an Obama administration ruling that recognizes all legally married couples for federal tax purposes.

The anti-gay Family Research Council hailed the new bill in a statement released today.

The State Marriage Defense Act is a response to the Supreme Court's 2013 decision in United States v. Windsor. The Court struck down as unconstitutional Section 3 of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage for all purposes under federal law as the union of one man and one woman. The plaintiff in Windsor had entered into a marriage with a person of the same sex that was recognized as legal by the state in which she lived, so the Court said that the federal government should also recognize the relationship as a marriage.

However, the Court was silent on the status of same-sex couples who may have obtained a civil marriage in one state, but who live in a state that recognizes only marriages of a man and a woman. The Obama administration has implemented guidance for some federal agencies that ignores the marriage laws of states that define marriage between a man and a woman. At the same time, other federal agencies defer to the laws of a person's state of legal residency to determine marital status for federal purposes. The State Marriage Defense Act would address this administrative chaos with a simple rule that tells the federal government to respect state determinations of the marital status of their residents when applying federal law.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins issued the following statement:

"In recent months, we have witnessed the growing serious consequences of redefining marriage. We've seen wedding florists, bakers, photographers who have been hauled into court, fined and even ordered to violate their religious beliefs by participating in same-sex weddings. And last month, a federal judge cited same-sex marriage in his decision striking down Utah's law against polygamy. Another consequence has been the Obama administration's chaotic actions through federal agencies that demonstrate total disregard for the 33 states that have not redefined marriage.

"Family Research Council strongly supported the Defense of Marriage Act, and disagreed with the Court's decision in Windsor. However, if the federal government is required to defer to state determinations of which of their residents are 'married,' it must defer to those determinations in all fifty states - not just those that have redefined marriage.

Gohmert: Obamacare Will Fail Like The Soviet Union

In a speech to a Tea Party group last November, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) insisted that Republicans must work to stop the Affordable Card Act even though it is destined to fail, just like the Soviet Union. Obamacare, he said, “will fall on its own. But the Soviet Union was destined to fall. But think of the tens of millions of people that died, think of all the freedoms that were taken away from people for around seventy plus years.”

“I really think Obamacare is going to fail but it may be seventy years,” Gohmert said, before alleging that Obamacare is stopping one of his staff member’s fathers from receiving a pacemaker.

The congressman said Republicans should try to dismantle Obamacare now just as Ronald Reagan “saved twenty years of liberty for people” in the USSR “by being aggressive.”

Beck: 'We Are The New Revolutionaries'

On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck highlighted a large piece of artwork that was recently installed in his network headquarters representing his David vs. Goliath fight against the mainstream media as depicted by a giant New York Times figure seeking to crush a Beck's TheBlaze, which is armed only with a slingshot:

The image really appealed to Beck because, as he explained, "we are the new revolutionaries."

"These guys are 'the man,' Beck said, referring to outlets such as the Times and the Huffington Post. "They have all of the power. They have all of the tools. They have all of the money. They have all of the media. We're the little guy. We're David, they're Goliath. The little guy wins, but we have to stop acting and looking and sounding like the establishment because we're not. We are anti-establishment. I am proud to say it: I am anti-establishment":

Texas GOP Board Of Education Candidate: 'We Know We Didn't Come From Monkeys!'

At a debate in Fort Worth on Monday, a Republican candidate for the Texas state board of education warned that the board is currently “using your tax dollars to brainwash our children into socialist issues and ideas.”

The candidate, Lady Theresa Thombs, also decried “people from socialist higher education” who support the teaching of evolution, a subject still hotly debated in the Texas Education Agency.

“We know we didn’t come from monkeys!” she exclaimed.

Thombs made her remarks at a debate hosted by a Tea Party group, the 912 Project Fort Worth.

Bud Kennedy of the Star-Telegram reports that Thombs considers herself an “international evangelist” who is “running to fight — her spellings — ‘adgendas and ideoligies.’”

She also believes she is running to defeat “Devil worshipers”:

The multi-talented Thombs also serves as a singer at right-wing rallies.

Garrow: Obama Nuked Dolphins!

Right-wing activist Jim Garrow has finally found “proof” to back up his claim that President Obama tried to nuke Charleston, South Carolina and other American cities, but was stopped by three heroes in the military (and God) who safely detonated one of the weapons off the coast of Charleston to thwart Obama’s nefarious plan.

Garrow’s offered “evidence” today on his Facebook page: an article about dolphins dying off the east coast.

Indeed, dolphins are dying…but due to lung disease caused by BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Santorum Intends To Turn His Movie Studio Into 'The Pixar Of Faith Movies'

The first film released under Rick Santorum's leadership at EchoLight Studios was "The Christmas Candle," which didn't even manage to earn back a third of its $7 million budget.

But Santorum maintains a grand vision for the future, telling Matthew Hagee, who is apparently a talk show host now, that he intends to turn EchoLight into "the Pixar of faith movies":

'Perhaps America Will Throw This Marxist Out Of Office And Imprison Him For Treason'

Via our good friend Erik Rush, we were alerted to this new video from the fine folks over at the Western Center for Journalism entitled, rather succinctly, "Communist Barack Obama Should Be in Prison."

Guess what it's about?

As the video explains, President Obama is a longtime communist who is working to transform America into a communist utopia through income redistribution and by collapsing the economy by implementing socialized medicine. Intent on destroying the middle class, Obama has created government-subsided health insurance in order to bring about a massive underclass that will be ruled over by elites such as himself and George Soros. In fact, Obama is intentionally working to destroy the economy in order to benefit banks and investment firms, which will somehow make billions of dollars by seeing the entire economy collapse.

"Perhaps when the economy is driven over a cliff," the narrator says, "the masses will clamor for an Obama third term and Comrade Obama will lead America down the road to a communist utopia. Or perhaps America will throw this Marxist out of office and imprison him for treason":

Erik Rush: Americans Must 'Go To Any Length' To Stop 'Evil' Obama

In yet another column advocating President Obama’s overthrow, WorldNetDaily’s Erik Rush today calls on “the American people to go to any length” to stop the Obama administration’s “designs to subjugate us” with its “statist agenda.”

Rush, who has called for the execution of the president and administration officials, writes that “those who govern us are evil and audacious” and pose “a clear and present danger to our liberties, the Constitution and the continuance of this nation.”

The net used to ensnare our liberties has been cast repeatedly over a long period of time, and each time it is cast increasingly wider. For example, laws and statutes that violate the Second Amendment have been passed over many decades, which should have drawn severe backlash from citizens. They did not, because they were ostensibly proffered (as I asserted last week) for our own good. Taxation and thousands of regulations concocted as fiat law by unconstitutional federal agencies have become more and more ideology-driven and tyrannical. We have only taken notice because the Obama administration “upped the game” almost exponentially with regard to advancing the statist agenda.

At this point, the liberties government has taken (pun intended) with regard to usurping our liberty are innumerable, and no half-hearted political solution will address their transgressions or this retrogression from governance to rule.

While this administration definitely represents a clear and present danger to our liberties, the Constitution and the continuance of this nation as a going concern, it is really just an acute symptom of a progressive disease that has gone untreated for far too long. Those who govern us are evil and audacious; their rhetoric and that of their supporters reflects a desperation beyond urgency. The criminals in government are aware of their crimes and are banking on Americans’ desire for relative safety and comfort outweighing our desire for liberty.

They are also banking on our ignorance of the fact that we will lose all three if their agenda continues unchecked.

Ultimately, they must be made to realize that there is a willingness (if not a desire) on the part of the American people to go to any length (emphasis his) to wrest the government from them. If they do not perceive this willingness, they will simply continue in their designs to subjugate us. They may not win, but the toll will be very great.

Better to convey our willingness to fight and possibly circumvent the necessity to fight altogether.

Priebus: Democrats Secretly Oppose Unemployment Insurance As Part Of Obamacare Plot

Yesterday, all but six Republicans voted to block the Senate from taking up a bill extending unemployment insurance for three months. But according to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, it is actually the Democrats who don’t want jobless aid to pass the Senate.

That’s right, even though his own party has tried to throw a wrench into efforts to extend aid to 1.3 million jobseekers — the GOP’s position would even threaten job growth and cut GDP — Priebus yesterday told radio host Lars Larson that Democrats “don’t want this to pass.” He claimed that the Democrats’ attempt to pass emergency jobless aid was in fact a ploy to “avoid Obamacare.”

Priebus claimed that President Obama is promoting income inequality, even though the federal programs such as food stamps that Republicans want to drastically cut keep millions of people out of poverty.

Priebus: I think the President is the king of income inequality. He has doubled food stamps, the poor are poorer under this president, Wall Street is doing better under this president and he’s jamming Obamacare under everybody’s throat. That’s his record.

Larson: The first three months of this extension — if the Houses is crazy enough to pass it — costs about $6-7 billion.

Priebus: All of this kind of stuff is ridiculous because we’re spending all of our time actually talking and perpetrating what the Democrats actually want. They don’t want this to pass, what they want to do is they want to talk about these things, they want to talk about minimum wage and what they want to do ultimately is create a campaign issue, this sort of rich vs. poor, the same old thing they can do and avoid Obamacare. That’s what they want.

Perhaps Priebus should have listened to the interview with Larson’s other guest today, Sen. Jim Inhofe.

The Oklahoma Republican in no uncertain terms said he has consistently opposes extensions of unemployment insurance. He also contradicted Priebus by saying that Democrats do in fact want to extend such aid…but only because it will encourage joblessness and government dependency.

“I think that we’ve developed a society that, you know, as long as they don’t have to work they don’t work. I’ve always opposed extending that and I’ve opposed that in my own state,” Inhofe said. “This president has intentionally put us in the position where people are relying upon government for their existence, this is just one element in that overall program.”

Beck: 'We Get Our Laws From The Laws Of Moses'

On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck spent a segment complaining about government-provided subsidies to purchase health insurance under Obamacare, declaring that such subsidies are nothing more than theft and are therefore fundamentally immoral.

Somehow, the immorality of these subsidies prompted Beck to start railing against the effort by a group of Satanists to place a monument outside the state capitol in Oklahoma, declaring that it is okay for monument of the Ten Commandments to be placed on government grounds because that is where we get out laws.

"I'm sorry, but we are a Christian-Judeo nation," Beck said. "We are based on Judeo-Christian values. That is not a religion, that is just how we put our laws together. So putting the Ten Commandments up is just a monument of where we got our laws."

Declaring that a Satanic monument has no right to be placed on government grounds because "we don't get our laws from Satan," Beck asserted that "we get our laws from the laws of Moses."

"It's truly insanity":

Klingenschmitt: 'Gay Marriage Is Inherently Selfish And Abusive To Kids'

Gordon Klingenschmitt began the new year by emailing members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project a warning that growing victories for marriage equality are a sign that more Americans are “deceived by the devil.”

The Religious Right activist and GOP politician wrote that thanks to demonic influence, voters are now willing to “elect anti-Christian tyrants to re-define our national morality in the image of evil.”

He also told activists that “homosexual marriage causes child abuse” and “is inherently selfish and abusive to kids.”

What is the most cruel thing you can do to a child? After physical or sexual abuse, the most cruel thing you can do to a child is take away their mother. That's how homosexual "marriage" causes child abuse, by taking away the child's mother (or father) and telling the child "your need for a mother is less than our right for homosexual pleasure." Gay "marriage" is inherently selfish and abusive to kids.

Let's petition Congress to defend natural marriage between one man and one woman.

If our citizens are deceived by the devil, and we fail to discern the spirits who influence those politicians for whom we vote, then we will elect anti-Christian tyrants to re-define our national morality in the image of evil. Woe to them who call good evil, and evil good.

Homosexual "Marriage" will never be lawful and always be a sin in the eyes of the God of the Bible. There are not sufficient religious exemptions in the Hawaii bill, which will cause liability for churches, non-profits, and for-profit corporations who refuse to participate in their religious "ceremonies."

I met several Congressmen last week in DC, and although they are discouraged, they are not ready to quit. But they must hear from us, that we still care about traditional marriage. Let's send Congress a message today. Demand a Constitutional Marriage Amendment...

Sen. Inhofe Agrees That Obama 'Is On The Other Side' In The War On Terror, Iran Policy

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) agreed with a conservative talk show host’s claim during an interview yesterday that President Obama is “on the other side” when it comes to US foreign policy interests in the Mideast.

Speaking to the Republican lawmaker, host Lars Larson said that “when you look at what this President has done in Egypt, in Syria, in Libya, in Iraq, in other places, it’s almost like he’s on the other side.”

“Well don’t forget Iran,” the senator added.

“I have to agree with you,” Inhofe continued. “I’m not a conspirator either but I wonder, there’s such a repetition, we are over and over again, it’s always — the other guys are always the good guys and we’re the bad guys. Then you look at it through the eyes of the Israelis — Netanyahu shakes his head and wonders why in the world we didn’t learn on 9/11 that the threat is out there and it’s very real — so I’m with you.”

Former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld has also wondered if Obama “switched sides” in the war on terror.

Rios: Obama Is Just Like Hitler & Mao

The American Family Association’s Sandy Rios this week wondered aloud about a question on the minds of many Americans: Is President Obama more like Adolf Hitler or Mao Zedong?

Rios agreed with a caller, Michael, who said that “exactly the same thing” is happening in America as in Germany during the Nazi Party’s rise to power, adding that Obama also reminds her of Mao.

Caller: I have a couple of observations, one real quick one: you see what the Obama administration is doing with the Constitution, go back to the early ’30s and watch the Nazis rise. Exactly the same thing happened then.

Rios: Yeah, yeah Michael I think that when you look at how — I’ve made comparisons to Mao Zedong too — not complete always but the left has a method and they always repeat their method and so the method is being repeated here. I totally agree with you and we’re watching it.

Rios has previously compared Obama to Mao, who much like Obama came to power after a bloody civil war that lasted several years.

The 2014 Election Sees The Return Of United In Purpose

During the last presidential election, a group of Religious Right millionaires formed an organization called United In Purpose with the intent of mobilizing "40 million out of the estimated 60 million evangelicals in the United States to vote" over the next ten years. The organization played a role in Gov. Rick Perry's "The Response" prayer rally and in organizing Religious Right mobilization conferences throughout the country ahead of the 2012 election through a project called Champion The Vote.

Obviously, that election did not turn out as the group had hoped and the organization seemingly disappeared not long thereafter. But today, United In Purpose announced its return with an email alerting activists that it is organizing a "Voter Mobilization Strategy Summit" to take place in Dallas in March that will feature the likes of Jim Garlow, Rick Scarborough, David Barton, and Glenn Beck:

Dear Friend,

LaBarbera: Kids Better Off In Single-Parent Household Than With Same-Sex Parents

In an interview with Alan Colmes yesterday, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality head Peter LaBarbera said that children are better off in a single parent household than with same-sex parents, whom he warned would teach children “perversion.”

Colmes: Let’s talk factually: we know it’s not always possible to have a two-parent household. So I’m asking you, is the child better with two parents of the same gender or a one-parent household?

LaBarbera: I don’t know, I tend to think they’d be better off in a single-parent household because you’re not modeling homosexual behavior. When you have two men raising a young child, that child grows up learning dysfunction and a sexual perversion as normal. He’s learning a sexual perversion as normality.

Later in the interview, the anti-gay activist was left speechless when Colmes asked him to spell out his plan to ban homosexuality.

LaBarbera repeatedly refused to answer Colmes’ question about what he thinks the punishment for homosexual behavior should be, finally admitting: “I don’t know what the punishment should be.”

“So you want these laws on the books but you don’t know what to do about them?” Colmes asked. “You keep talking about criminalizing sodomy and using the country of Jamaica as a model for that but you’re not telling me how you would enforce it and then what the punishment should be. So you don’t have a well-rounded idea of how to approach the idea of criminalizing it.”

In Jamaica, where LaBarbera campaigned for the preservation of the country’s stringent anti-gay laws, homosexuality is punishable up to ten years in jail.

Beck: Climate Change Is 'The Biggest Theft Ever In The History Of The World'

Glenn Beck kicked off his television program last night with a fake local newscast reporting on the record-breaking cold weather that has engulfed much of the country for the last few days in order to drive home the right-wing theory that climate change cannot be real because it still gets cold and snows.

During the segment, it even began "snowing" in the studio, which is why Beck was covered in glitter when he got serious and told his audience that, a hundred years from now, people will look back on this period in time as "the biggest theft ever in the history of the world" since the effort to fight climate change is nothing more than "a push for more power and to take more of your money":

Rios: 'Natural Born Americans' Becoming 'The Minority' In Washington D.C.

As Director of Governmental Affairs for the Tupelo, Mississippi-based American Family Association, Sandy Rios lives in the Washington D.C. area. But she told AFA head Tim Wildmon today that she is one of the few US citizens in the District. In an interview today with Wildmon on Today’s Issues, Rios said that immigrants are the majority in Washington, or at least in the city’s McDonald’s restaurants.

“In Washington D.C., sometimes when we are in public places it’s hard to find any natural-born Americans, you are the minority,” she told Wildmon. “When I go through McDonald’s or whenever I interact with illegal immigrants -- and like I said, they are legion -- my responsibility is to be kind and gracious.” Rios went on to explain that biblical commands to treat immigrants with compassion should not impact public policy.

In fact, foreign born residents account for 13.5% of the city’s population (compared to 13.0% nationally). Undocumented immigrants make up just 4.5% of the District’s residents.

Wildmon warned that offering undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship would lead to “the end of the Republican Party as we know it,” while Rios called such a move “Republican suicide” and urged GOP leaders to get out of Washington more and live in places like Mississippi.

“I think of that phrase in the Old Testament about a ‘strong delusion,’ she said. “I would say that the Republican leadership is under a strong delusion. I don’t understand it, I can’t explain it except that they just don’t get out enough, they need to go live in Mississippi, they need to go live in Nebraska, wherever, because the sanity seems to leave them.”

Beck: 'We Were The Ones That Destroyed' Cable News

The other day, Al Sharpton did a segment on his television program in which he donned a lab coat in order to deliver a science lesson to climate change deniers ... and Glenn Beck found the entire thing to be just sad and pathetic.

That's right, a man who, just two months ago, spent ten minutes on his own program playing with Wizard the Oz dolls while wearing ruby slippers, finds MSNBC's programming to be simply embarrassing because they are obviously trying to copy him but have no idea what they are doing.

As Beck's co-host Pat Gray declared, "all [MSNBC is] trying to do now is copy what you did at Fox. That's what Ed Schultz does; that's what Al Sharpton is trying to do now. I mean, it's pretty transparent. They're just really excruciatingly bad at it."

"It's really amazing how much this network is flailing," Beck added, before proudly declaring that his show on Fox essentially destroyed cable news.

"We brought that industry to an end because we went in, we mocked the way it was done while we were doing it. We broke all of the rules. We rocketed to the top. It was iconic and now everybody is left with this ... they don't know what to do because they can't make it work, they don't know what to do and so it's becoming these really lousy ... it's becoming embarrassing":

Yes, it's embarrassing, said the man who was down on his knees on the floor providing imaginary medical aid with an American flag blanket to a mortally wounded Lady Liberty in a desperate attempt to save America not too long ago.
