Political Internship – Fall 2017

People For the American Way is a nationwide advocacy organization that mobilizes its members and activists to fight for public policies that reflect the values of freedom, fairness, and equal opportunity; to champion constitutional protections and civil rights. People For the American Way Foundation conducts research, legal, and education work on behalf of First Amendment freedoms and democratic values; monitors, exposes, and challenges the Religious Right movement and its political allies; and identifies, trains, and supports the next generation of progressive leaders.

PFAW’s Political Department focuses on political advocacy efforts and voter education. The Political Department’s Latinos Vote! program builds on our proven record of producing paid and earned media campaigns to hold Republicans accountable for their anti-immigrant, anti-Latino policies and rhetoric. The Political Intern will mainly support the Latinos Vote! program. The Next Up Victory Fund program helps young progressives win state and local offices across the country. The Political Fellow will primarily support the Latinos Vote!  Program and the Next Up Victory Fund.
