Troy Newman Compares Abortion For Low-Income Women To 'Obama Phones'

In an interview on American Family Radio today, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman claimed that low-income women use abortions “like birth control pills” and compared abortions to “Obama phones,” the name given by a racist meme to a decades-old program that provides low-cost or free phone service to some people in poverty so they can access things like emergency services.

When AFR host Ed Vitagliano asked Newman why “abortions are three times more likely to be performed on a woman with Medicaid,” he responded, “It’s free.”

“These $400 abortions, when they’re free through Medicare [sic], women just go and get them and they use them like birth control pills,” he said, adding that if abortions were more expensive, women would go instead to a “Christ-centered pregnancy counseling center” that doesn't provide abortion as an option.

In fact, the Hyde Amendment currently bars federal funds from being used to pay for abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or life endangerment. Only 17 states use their own tax dollars to fund all or most “medically necessary” abortions for women who are enrolled in Medicaid.

“It’s just like anything else, when you hand out things for free, the system becomes overwhelmed,” he said. “Look at the Obamacare, all the people who are getting it are getting subsidized, the Obama phones, etc. So as soon as you start giving something out you’re going to get more of it.”

Mike Huckabee: Gay Marriage 'Lies' Reminiscent Of Nazi Germany

Over the weekend, Mike Huckabee hosted an event in Little Rock called “America from Ordinary to Extraordinary,” where he warned about the dangers facing the U.S., including gay rights and criticism of conservatives. At one point in his speech, Huckabee appeared to draw a connection between Nazism and legal fights over gay rights in America.

Huckabee said that while groups like ISIS are broadcasting their crimes to the world, “at least the Nazis tried to hide what they were doing at Auschwitz and Birkenau.” He went on to explain that the Nazis consolidated their control and launched the Holocaust by consistently lying to people.

“You have to lie to people, and when lies permeate our culture, it’s a dangerous, dangerous thing,” he said, before asserting that just as Nazi Germany pushed lies on a massive scale, American culture has been inundated with “lies” about the definition of marriage.

“We’re abandoning the basic concept of free speech and liberty. If you are a believer and you believe old-fashioned things like the definition of life and the definition of marriage, it’s possible that the government will put you out of business as they have in numerous occasions like Elane’s Photography. Out of business,” Huckabee said, referring to a photography business that denied service to a gay customer. He then brought up the case of an Oregon bakery which similarly refused service based on customers’ sexual orientation, claiming the bakery’s owners were threatened with jail time, which they were not.

Huckabee also defended anti-gay organizations classified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as hate groups, such as the American Family Association, as simply groups that speak “the truth” about issues like homosexuality.

He said that Christians who “love people enough that you are willing to tell them the truth” are now viewed as hateful.

“In today’s world, what real love means is interpreted as hate and if you tell someone what the truth is, you’ll be accused of hate speech,” Huckabee said. “Craziest thing I’ve ever heard is some of the Christian groups that I know, and I know the people involved in them, are called hate groups. Really? What makes them a hate group? Because they said something someone didn’t agree with. What is it that causes us to say we should celebrate diversity, which means you should celebrate uniformity with what the culturally correct have decided you should believe. This is an insidious threat to our country.”

Star Parker: Obama's Prayer Breakfast Speech Was 'Verbal Rape'

Conservative activist Star Parker told radio host Mark Levin this weekend that President Obama’s remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast last week amounted to “verbal rape” because he “stole all the energy in the room” with his “secular humanism.”

“It was verbal rape. Frankly, what the president did was verbal rape,” Parker said. “He stole all the energy in the room. He stole from all of us. He stole the momentum in the room, he stole from our country, he stole from the world.”

Explaining that those in the room had already been dealing in what she called weak interfaith “sippy soup,” Parker said Obama “reduced that whole meeting to meaninglessness.”

“This is what we were doing in this room, all this prayer, all these people, and then the president gets up and totally politicizes it,” she said. “It was verbal rape. You could feel the energy leave the room because he is so adamant about his secular humanism. These are certainly big questions, but he reduced that whole meeting to meaninglessness. It was just bad.”

Pat Robertson: 'So-Called Gay People' Likely Molested, Recruited Into Homosexuality

Pat Robertson fielded a question today from a “700 Club” viewer who asked the televangelist what he should do after finding a “gay magazine” in his son’s room.

Robertson, notorious for his brand of “loving” advice on how people should deal with a possibly gay family member, said that the father should “talk to him about sexuality” and know that his son probably isn’t gay…unless someone sexually abused or “confused” him.

A lot of these so-called gay people have been either attacked or molested by some authority figure or else a magazine or something has confused them. You need to talk to him about what things are and who he is and what he is and let him grow up and find out, but don’t let him be exposed to a bunch of pornographic magazines because a gay magazine is filled with naked pictures of naked men doing sex with each other, that’s what’s in there, so you don’t want him to read that stuff. Whether it’s men and women or men and men or women and women, it doesn’t matter, you don’t want him to be seeing that.

Troy Newman Explains His Plan To Destroy 'The Enemy' By Cutting Off 'Supply Side' Of Abortion

In an interview last month with Gary Cass on the “Defending a Christian Worldview” webcast, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman outlined his group’s strategy of targeting individual abortion providers in order to shut off “the supply side of the abortion industry,” thereby cutting off “the Enemy’s ability to make war on the children.”

“Let’s be honest, we’ve passed hundreds and hundreds of bills, possibly thousands of bills in all 50 states and on the federal level, and in the end we do not have an abolition to abortion,” he said.

He told Cass that his group’s local-level agitation is what really works in cutting off access to abortion.

“The other side is always talking about access. They don’t want to talk about choice any more, they never use the A-word — abortion — now their buzzword is ‘women’s health care’ or ‘access,’” Newman told Cass.

He depicted his fight as a battle against Satan, or “the Enemy”: “And because what we’re doing and have done over the past decade or so is destroy, literally destroy, the Enemy’s ability to make war on the children by taking out the supply side of the abortion industry.”

It’s unclear how much impact Newman’s group actually has in shutting down clinics. For instance, in the history section of its website, Operation Rescue takes credit for a drop in the abortion rate for Kansas, which it said led to the closing of what was then the only abortion provider in Wichita. In fact, that coincided with a nationwide drop in abortions that reproductive health experts credit to improvements in contraceptives.

Klingenschmitt Hopes Pastors Will Run For Office And 'Take Back America For The Kingdom Of God'

As we noted last month, Religious Right activist and Christian-nation extremist David Lane is currently organizing a nationwide effort to recruit 1,000 pastors to run for political office because it is now the "appointed time of God" for Christians to take control of America.

Not surprisingly, that effort is being welcomed by Religious Right activist and Colorado state representative Gordon Klingenschmitt is welcoming the effort, as he endorsed it on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program recently in hopes that "we can take back America for the Kingdom of God."

Saying that there are too many elected officials today who "promote the kingdom of sin and they want to legislate their immorality on the people," Klingenschmitt declared that America would be better served if those who promote the Kingdom of God were elected to office.

"You can only have two kinds of morality," he said. "You can have God's morality or immorality. I would much rather be ruled by godly, God-fearing men and women."

Klingenschmitt then prayed for Lane and his effort and that all the pastors who decide to run for office will win "so we can take back America for the Kingdom of God in Jesus' name":

Pat Robertson: Christians New Victims Of Don't Ask Don't Tell

Pat Robertson, who has long been deeply troubled by the presence of gay people in the military, claimed today that the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell has “turned the tables” and made Christians in the military the real victims of oppression.

“‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ used to refer to gays in the military, now it could apply to Christians in uniform,” he said.

Following a “700 Club” segment by Christian Broadcasting Network reporter Chuck Holton on chaplains who claim that they are facing pressure not to condemn homosexuality, Robertson accused the military of suppressing the rights of chaplains. A military service member, he said, “doesn’t need some communist or some socialist or some progressive giving him pablum and some doctrine of political correctness.”

“If we being to muzzle our chaplains, God help us,” Robertson said.

Gaffney: Obama 'Empowering And Emboldening' Enemies With His 'Deep Sympathy' For Islam

Today, Newsmax host J.D. Hayworth hosted a stimulating discussion about the so-called Islamic State with the Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney and Jack Burkman, a lobbyist and pundit who famously called for a “relentless” boycott of any NFL team that drafted openly gay player Michael Sam.

Burkman asked Gaffney “whether Obama just has no comprehension of foreign policy” or if “at a more sinister level, does he not see himself as representing the United States?”

“I think the president is of the view that Islam, not radical Islam, but the authoritative version of Islam is in fact a legitimate and desirable and, well, laudable enterprise,” Gaffney responded. “And there are many Muslims who would meet all of those tests. Unfortunately they don’t include, to my way of thinking, the authorities of Islam or those who are following their tenets.”

“The folks who believe in the traditions and institutions of Islam are, I’m afraid, part of the problem,” he continued. “To the extent the president is admiring of them and enabling of them, I think isn’t just a problem of not understanding what’s afoot here. I think it’s a deep sympathy for it. And it translates into an empowering and emboldening of the jihadists who are our mortal enemies.”

Matt Barber Thinks Obama's 'Involvement' In Israel's Election Is An Impeachable Offense

In 2012, Jeremy Bird served as the national field director for President Obama's re-election campaign, after which he co-founded a political consulting firm called 270 Strategies. Recently, Bird and his firm were hired by a nascent political campaign in Israel created to try to defeat the ruling Likud Party in the upcoming elections.

Since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a Likud Party candidate, a defeat for the party would also be a defeat for Netanyahu, and that possibility is an outrage to Matt Barber, who is now logically demanding that President Obama be impeached.

As Barber and Mat Staver explained on today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, because an organization called OneVoice, which has been involved in the effort to replace the Israeli government, received an unrelated grant from the U.S. State Department last year, that means that American tax dollars are now being used to rig the election in Israel.

To make matters even worse in the eyes of Barber and Staver, someone who worked on President Obama's campaign but is now an independent political consultant is also working on that same effort, which can only mean that President Obama is personally leading the effort to defeat Netanyahu and therefore must be impeached.

"What a slap in the face and it shows our allies across the country that the United States cannot be trusted," Barber fumed, claiming that Obama personally sent his "A-Team propagandist hit squad" into Israel to try to defeat Netanyahu.

"It's unconscionable that he would do this. It's unethical and this president needs to be investigated by the United States Senate," Barber continued. "This president just continues to do one impeachable thing after another":
