E.W. Jackson: Democrats Have an 'Agenda Worthy of the Antichrist'

Bishop E.W. Jackson has embarked on a campaign following his failed Senate bid to convince black voters to reject the Democrats’ “anti-God” views and partake in a “mass exodus of Christians from the Democrat party.” Today in an opinion piece in the Washington Times, “Blacks are abandoning the Democratic Party,” Jackson asserted that African Americans will abandon the Democratic party over the issues of abortion rights and gay equality, incredulously asking how Democrats have “managed to hold on to black Christians in spite of an agenda worthy of the Antichrist?” “Mr. Obama’s commitment to the radical left’s anti-Christian, anti-God politics may cost him the election,” Jackson writes, “because a constituency he has taken for granted has awakened to the truth that being the first black president is not enough.” Of course, recent polling shows that Obama has a commanding 94-0 lead among black voters.

I was raised to be an FDR Democrat because my father was a young man during the Depression and credited President Roosevelt with saving him from starvation. “The Republicans only care about rich people,” I was told. This was more than 40 years ago. In spite of my childhood indoctrination, as a young man newly committed to my Christian faith, I had a crisis of conscience in the late 1970s. Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank was pushing the homosexual agenda. How could I, as a Christian, be committed to a party led by Mr. Frank? In the end, I could not. My desire to be in a right relationship with God and my faith was greater than my desire to be approved by my father, my family or the black community. My wife and I, then Massachusetts residents, left the Democratic Party in 1980 and never looked back.

Democrats now have fully embraced an abortion policy that amounts to infanticide. They have also made the lesbian-homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda their vision for America. How have they managed to hold on to black Christians in spite of an agenda worthy of the Antichrist? They have shown a ruthless willingness to frighten black voters with outright lies about the plans of conservatives and Republicans. Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s “they gonna put y’all back in chains” was not a gaffe. It is part of the Democrats’ strategy of using fear to keep blacks as a captive audience. I always have believed that such lies could not distract black voters forever or keep them from noticing the increasingly anti-Christian radicalism of the Democratic Party.

Now black churchgoers are being told to suppress Christian conscience and remain beholden to a party that demands their loyalty while insulting their faith and blaspheming their God. For the first time in 50 years, there is a discussion going on in the black community as to whether their loyalty to the Democratic Party is deserved. Many black pastors are telling their members to stay home, rather than vote for a black president who has done more to advance the cause of homosexuality and abortion than that of black Americans.

We are hearing the rumblings of a fissure between black Christians and the Democratic Party. My organization, Staying True to America’s National Destiny (Stand), is calling for a mass exodus of Christians from the Democratic Party. We held a news conference at the National Press Club on Sept. 10 and produced several videos. This not only has prompted discussion, but perhaps has launched a movement. Mr. Obama’s commitment to the radical left’s anti-Christian, anti-God politics may cost him the election, because a constituency he has taken for granted has awakened to the truth that being the first black president is not enough.

Latino Democratic Councilman Partners with Anti-Latino Pastor Rick Scarborough

New York City councilman Fernando Cabrera has become the favorite Democrat of far-right groups like the American Family Association and Family Research Council, and even the virulently anti-gay, anti-Muslim, birther Rick Scarborough of Vision America. Cabrera is apparently comfortable working with Scarborough even though he is known for his notorious views on immigration and ethnic minorities, including Latinos. Scarborough is fervently opposed to immigrant rights, called Justice Sonia Sotomayor a “disaster,” and told a Tea Party Nation event that if the US was “become 30 per cent Hispanic we will no longer be America…that would be a bad thing.” He recently said that the increasing minority birth rate is bad for America and will lead to a decline in Christianity.

Now we are witnessing more babies being born out of wedlock than in wedlock, leading to escalating social problems. That brings us back to this latest revelation on the growing influence of minorities in America. The sad reality is that more non-white families will also mean an America with more fatherless families.

The increasing polarization of the races is an additional cause for concern. Politicians and self-styled community leaders urge blacks and Hispanics to see themselves as members of a race first and foremost, and not as Americans or Christians.

On a conference call today with Scarborough’s 40 Days to Save America campaign to energize anti-Obama voters, Cabrera thanked Scarborough for his “prophetic call” to pray before the election and called for God to take “dominion over our lives” and fight back against “the grip of darkness that is trying to take over our land.”

Scarborough used the call for pray to God to stop abortion and gay rights, just as God ended slavery, and to “deliver us as a nation from the throes of secularism.”

This is our time; this is our opportunity to make a difference in America. We look around it seems bleak, I find pastors who are discouraged who don’t believe that even God can change America. But the good news is He did it once and gave us America, the first great awakening; He did it a second time and expunged the nation of slavery; He can do it a third time and deliver us from abortion and division and the advancement of gay rights, the Lord Jesus can do that.

Father deliver us as a nation from the throes of secularism and the encroaching secularist mindset that is seeking to stifle Christianity as a whole, give us a rebirth Lord of love for You, Lord cleanse us personally, cleanse us societally, Lord give us an outpouring of revival such as we have not seen in our lifetime, Father we do repent of the sins of complicity of allowing the culture to grow so coarse and so far from what You intended.

Barton: Vote the Ten Commandments

Last week, David Barton participated in a conference call for Champion The Vote, the Religious Right election effort that seeks to register and mobilize millions of Christian voters because "it only takes 5 million votes to decide an election."

During the call, Barton set out a pretty simple rule to help conservative Christians determine how to cast their ballots: vote the Ten Commandments:

Now you take the Ten Commandments and look at them and there are certain issues that do appear there. One is the public acknowledgement of God, that's the first thing off. So when there's a difference between candidates on whether God should be mentioned in public, if one of them wants a secularization of the public square, the other says "no, God needs to be acknowledged," that's a big deal, that's one of God's top ten issues.

You'll find that also in the top ten, don't shed innocent blood. Well, that goes to abortion.

You'll also find in the top ten that God says "I want you keep marriage the way I told you it was back in Genesis." Hey, the marriage issue makes the top ten.

What doesn't make the top ten is the environment or helping the poor or energy or whatever. So if we take other issues and raise them above God's top ten, then we have usurped what God has told us in the Scriptures and what God told his nation: "I've given you 613 laws, but here's my prioritization; these are the most important ones." So we need to vote with that cognizance.

As we've noted before, marrige in the Book of Gensis consisted mainly of polygamy and/or some form of incest ... but we are pretty sure that is not what Barton had in mind.

Gays Have Taken Over the FBI!

Brian Camenker’s organization MassResistance is out with a new “report” arguing that the “homosexual and transgender movements” are using the FBI and CIA to “crack down on pro-family groups and citizens.” He appeared on Crosstalk with host Jim Schneider of VCY America yesterday to warn that efforts by the government agencies to create a more open workplace for their gay and lesbian employees and to engage with the gay community to prevent and prosecute anti-gay hate crimes is part of a pernicious plan that will “do a lot of damage” and harm the Religious Right. Camenker said he is “really scared” of the FBI now that it has become an “out homosexual organization” that is “embracing the gay agenda” by trying to stem the tide of anti-gay hate crimes.

Schneider: Brian, many have been appalled at the annual gay celebrations that President Obama has hosted at the White House and we’ve also seen the State Department hosting these celebrations, this year though we saw the Department of Defense surrender to gay pride events. But your revealing in a release that you sent out today about additional federal agencies that are involved in law enforcement and also surveillance that you have embraced the homosexual and transgender movements, namely that of the FBI and the CIA, Brian it is appalling.

Camenker: It’s unbelievable. The FBI is just unbelievable to see. They have started a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender program on their careers website and they apparently have even gone from there to embracing the gay agenda, having a gay advisory committee, welcoming homosexuals as FBI agents, getting involved with pride events, but more than that going to gay pride events and encouraging homosexual activists to report hate crimes and working with them against pro-family groups. So this is what we’re seeing the FBI doing according to their own writings and according to the writings of the gay newspapers. We have one on our website, one of the gay newspapers in San Francisco, ‘FBI Encourages LGBTs to Report Hate Crimes,’ it is very, very frightening to see. The FBI is very powerful and they can do a lot of damage if they are out to get you.

Camenker: When an individual describes himself as being gay or lesbian, transgender or something, invariably that person is hostile to the pro-family position and is vigorous about pushing the entire agenda. We’ve seen that in the schools, we’ve seen that all over the place. We’re really scared about the FBI being this out homosexual organization.

Even the CIA isn’t safe from the “gay agenda.” “In the old days you thought of the CIA as being this internal spy organization but now what they are doing is they are actually participating in these activities” like gay pride events, lamenting that gays are no longer banned from serving in the agency. “Man, this is really, really, really bad,” Camenker said.

Towards the end of the program, the two decried California’s new law limiting the practice of harmful and discredited sexual orientation conversion therapy on minors. Camenker claimed that the delisting of homosexuality as a mental illness was a result of “an extreme terrorist movement in the medical community” and that indeed such therapy works as “there is a whole world of ex-gays around.” He warned that the California law will be especially bad for “these kids who have been preyed upon by the homosexual movement” and that homosexuality for them should be seen as “just a fad.” Later, Camenker agreed with a caller’s rant against homosexuality and said that it is not a sexual orientation but an “addiction.”

Camenker: Homosexuality and transgenderism and all of these things have traditionally been considered mental illness issues, in fact the transgenderism still is, it was only through an extreme terrorist movement in the medical community that changed that. There are successful groups around the country that work with people with homosexual, same-sex marriage issues, such as JONAH, which is a Jewish group, and Courage and NARTH and others, and there is a whole world of ex-gays around. I know several people who were very, very heavily involved with homosexual lifestyle, left it, have become married with kids and are leading just wonderful lives, and I’ve known kids who were gay activists who changed, who through some kind of therapy or working finally said ‘no I’m not really this at all’ and have left that lifestyle.

You have this whole world of people that have been healed of this and in California, the gay activists there pushed this thing through the legislature to ban that kind of counseling to people who want it if they are under eighteen. Unfortunately, some of the people who really need it are these kids who have been preyed upon by the homosexual movement and believe me I have known kids personally who have been preyed upon and thought they were gay and through the right kind of counseling understood that ‘no, it’s just a fad, I’m not really that way’ and are leading wonderful, productive lives and not even thinking about it, so this is terrible.

Caller: I am sick and tired of homosexuality being called a sexual preference, it’s like saying ‘I don’t prefer you live therefore I have the right to murder you,’ or ‘I don’t prefer you own that car so I’m going to steal it from you,’ it is not a preference it is a deviancy. It’s against nature’s law, it’s against God’s law and for a long time was against the laws of the United States both federally, locally and regionally for states.

Schneider: I appreciate that Doug I believe that was pointed out because what we are hearing so much today is that it’s an orientation and that it is not a lifestyle that is being chosen and that’s why you used the word ‘preference,’ not an ‘orientation,’ in that people are choosing that. Doug, it is a deviation and it totally goes against nature itself, as well.

Camenker: ‘Preference’ is inaccurate; I think the caller is correct. It is a deviation or sort of an addiction, what have you, I think addiction is probably closer to what it is.

Barton: The 4th of July and the Second Amendment Came Out of the Bible

Over the last several months, we have written a series of posts highlighting the various social, cultural, and governmental institutions that David Barton claims are directly rooted in the Bible.  For Barton, any parallel he can discover between a provision in the Constitution and language in the Bible can only mean that the latter was the cause for the former, often going so far as to falsely claim that the Constitution quotes the Bible "verbatim."

Now Barton has produced a new book called "The Founders' Bible" which is designed to help readers "discover the Scriptures that the Founders used as the basis for our original founding documents, see what chapters inspired them in the fight for independence, understand the sacrifices they made because of their Biblically-based beliefs and learn about America as a Christian nation."

We received our copy of the book today and we were not at all surprised to discover that it is full of the sorts of absurd claims we have come to expect from Barton.  In essence, the book is a Bible interspersed with long explanatory articles written by Barton explaining how the adjoining passages served as the foundation for America and our form of government.

Many of the claims we have heard from Barton before, but the book also to contain several new ones, such as the statement that Independence Day was based on Biblical precedent.

As Barton explains it:

The turning point for the independence of the Jews ... was the Passover, when God, in a miraculous demonstration of power, struck down the firstborn of the Egyptians. Out of all the amazing things along Israel's lengthy road to becoming an independent nation and people, God commanded them to remember that one particular event and to celebrate the anniversary of that one particular day every year thereafter (Exodus 13:10.) And not only were they to honor that day, but they were also to use it to teach the rising generation about what God had done in birthing their nation (Exodus 13:8.)

Barton then explains that some of the Founding Fathers "saw a correlation between the account in Exodus and the American experience," prompting him to declare that "the Fourth of July is an annual day of celebration and remembrance like that in Exodus 13 - one of the many American practices with Biblical precedents."

Later in the same chapter, Barton declares that the Second Amendment is rooted in Exodus 22 which says that "if a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed" (though Barton conveniently edits out the rest of the line, which says "but if it happens after sunrise, the defender is guilty of bloodshed.")  For Barton, this is proof that "the Second Amendment's 'right to keep and bear arms' is the constitutional embodiment of the Biblical right to self-defense found in Exodus 22 (and other passages) - another of the many American rights rooted in Biblical teachings."

These are just a few examples that jumped out at us in just the first two chapters of Barton's book, which contains several dozen of these sorts of explanatory articles through out its 2000+ pages; so undoubtedly this is merely the first in a series of posts highlighting the various claims Barton makes about how our social, cultural, and governmental institutions are all rooted in the Bible.

Steve Strang Tells Christians to Fear Obama, Compares Him to Hitler

Jim Garlow’s Pastors Rapid Response Team hosted a conference call today with televangelist John Hagee and Charisma magazine publisher Steve Strang, where Garlow and his fellow speakers repeated the claim that President Obama’s re-election will lead to the end of America. Hagee told people to “vote the Bible, don’t get confused about Republican or Democrat,” and then went on to tell people that they cannot as Christians back Democratic candidates due to the party’s stance on gay rights and reproductive freedom.

Hagee also asked listeners to fight the “secular left” like Dietrich Bonhoeffer stood up to Adolf Hitler, warning that “the evil day is here.”

Later, Strang said that Christians must view Obama’s agenda for a second term with considerable trepidation, unlike the Jews and Christians in Germany who Strang said “did not really believe that Hitler was as bad as he said, even though he outlined it in his book Mein Kampf. But Hitler turned out to be that bad and worse.” Strang cited the decades-old Humanist Manifesto and the Homosexual Manifesto, which was actually a comical work of satire that Strang apparently takes seriously, and claimed that “the way of life that we have is over if Barack Obama is elected again.”

The man has an agenda and I just wrote a blog and I also put it in the next issue of Charisma magazine where I refer to something I think Pastor Hagee said, he referred to Adolf Hitler, and in the 1930s the Jews and even the Christians did not really believe that Hitler was as bad as he said, even though he outlined it in his book Mein Kampf. But Hitler turned out to be that bad and worse. There are people out there with an agenda and if you don’t believe it Google the Humanist Manifesto, which was written in 1921, and also the Homosexual Manifesto, which was written in 1987, and see what these people want to do and what is happening before our very eyes. What Jim Garlow says is true, the way of life that we have is over if Barack Obama is elected again.

Charisma Says Satan is Behind Law Limiting Ex-Gay Therapy, May Lead to Bible Ban

California’s new law preventing pseudo-scientific sexual orientation conversion therapy from being used on minors has not gone over well with anti-gay activists. Charisma magazine news editor Jennifer LeClaire even believes that California may soon decide to “outlaw the Bible” as a next step. LeClaire claimed that homosexuality is caused by demonic “spirit of immorality” that “enters in through some sort of abuse and the lies of the enemy,” Satan. “Sexual orientation change efforts can help set the captives free,” LeClaire said. “That’s why the enemy saw to it that California, a state with a high gay population rate, bans such therapy.”

When he signed the bill on Saturday, the liberal governor said change therapy would “now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery.”

Really? Since when is helping a confused teenager under assault by powers of this dark world a dustbin of quackery?

I don’t believe kids are born gay. I don’t have all the answers, but I believe there’s a spirit of immorality involved at the root level. I believe it often enters in through some sort of abuse and the lies of the enemy that follow. I believe it involves emotional and spiritual brokenness. I believe deliverance is available to those oppressed by this spirit. And I believe sexual orientation change efforts can help set the captives free. That’s why the enemy saw to it that California, a state with a high gay population rate, bans such therapy.

What’s next for California lawmakers? Banning the gospel—or any practice that aims to reduce or eliminate people going to hell? Will Brown relegate the good news of Christ to the dustbin of quackery, too? Will California outlaw any ministry that does not affirm or encourage experimentation with or acceptance of homosexuality? Will churches lose their tax-exempt status if they preach the gospel?

Don’t think it can’t happen. It’s illegal to carry a Bible in some countries. Missionaries are barred from evangelizing in some countries. It’s officially against the rules to pray in the public square in some countries. Many countries are closed the gospel altogether and if you preach you could end up in prison or heaven.

California leads the nation in many trends. After trampling parental rights with this new bill, could it be possible that California will be the first to outlaw the Bible, prayer, missionaries or even the gospel itself, too?

Scarborough Leading 40 Days of Prayer to Remove the Ungodly from Office

Vision America's Rick Scarborough has been organizing and hosting regular conference calls for his 40 Days to Save America campaign aimed at getting conservative Christians to pray and fast leading up to the election.

During a call last week  featuring Penny Nance of Concerned Women for America, Scarborough said that over the next forty days, they would be praying for every member of Congress by name, as well as members of the Supreme Court and the Obama administration and asking God to remove those who are ungodly from office:

In the course of the next forty days, we're going to pray for every member of Congress by name, every member of the Senate by name, the President, the Vice-President and the Attorney General every single day and also every member of the Supreme Court every single day. But we do want to call out, cry out, for these major leaders for our country and forty days from now we want to be able to report to them that thousands of people called their name to Heaven and asked God to give them wisdom, and if their heart is hardened, to remove them from leadership so that godly people can take their place.
