People For the American Way launched a new radio ad today, which will air on stations in African American communities in Wisconsin. The ad highlights congressional Republicans’ poor record on economic issues and calls out Senate candidate Ron Johnson’s support for backward-looking policies on health care, jobs, and the economy.

“Ron Johnson wants to be a senator for millionaires and billionaires, not for the middle class,” said Michael B. Keegan, President of People For the American Way, “He criticized efforts to hold BP accountable for the massive gulf oil spill, but has no problem taking away health care coverage and weakening Social Security benefits for middle class Americans. Russ Feingold, on the other hand, represents voters, not money. He’s been an uncompromising supporter of policies that help middle class Americans and hold big corporations accountable.
