People For the American Way (PFAW) was given a generous gift by Gemini G.E.L., who coordinated Artists for Obama in 2008 and 2012, to fund PFAW’s 2016 Get Out The Vote efforts. The gift includes selected signed editions from world renowned artists including Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Ellsworth Kelly, Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, Bruce Nauman, Claes Oldenburg, Richard Serra. PFAW Foundation board member Carrie Mae Weems and Chuck Close have also donated limited edition works along with pieces by William Wegman and Cindy Sherman.

“We’re thrilled that Gemini G.E.L. and legendary artists have donated these iconic works of art to further PFAW’s efforts this election to get out the vote to Defeat Donald Trump and the Republicans supporting his dangerous agenda that’s directly at odds with fundamental American values,” said PFAW President Michael Keegan. “Our efforts—ranging from TV, radio, and digital ads to elevating celebrity voices to on-the-ground work holding Republicans accountable—will ensure record voter turnout against Trump and the Republicans’ hate. We’re proud to continue our long history of collaborating with artists of all kinds to help shape our democracy.”

You can view all the works here: www.pfaw.org/ElectionArtSale2016. The pieces will be sold online and at a PFAW fundraiser the evening of Tuesday, November 1st in New York and Thursday, November 3 at Gemini GEL in Los Angeles. 100% of the sales will benefit PFAW's get-out-the-vote efforts with Latino, youth, African American, and women voters in the 2016 election.

People For the American Way is a progressive advocacy organization founded to fight right-wing extremism and defend constitutional values including free expression, religious liberty, equal justice under the law, and the right to meaningfully participate in our democracy.
