People For the American Way today released the second in a series of web videos showing extremist right-wing candidates in their own words.

The video, Pat Toomey in His Own Words, shows Pennsylvania Senate candidate Pat Toomey’s history of reckless support for financial deregulation and his extreme positions on abortion rights, gay rights, and social safety net programs. It can be viewed at www.pfaw.org/toomey.

“Pat Toomey’s own words say it all,” said Michael B. Keegan, President of People For the American Way, “He thinks doctors who perform abortions should be thrown in jail, and he’s voted to prevent gays and lesbians from adopting children. He wants to limit the freedom of individual Americans, but wants to let Wall Street banks have all the freedom they want to play with families’ life savings. Pat Toomey’s agenda is dangerous for Pennsylvania, and it will be dangerous for the U.S. Senate.”
