Today, People For the American Way (PFAW) announced new Spanish-language radio ads in Pennsylvania and North Carolina as part of its Latinos Vote! program. The ad in North Carolina targets Burr’s anti-immigrant votes and his embrace of Donald Trump and encourages voters to support Deborah Ross and Hillary Clinton. The ad in Pennsylvania targets the dangerous agenda of Trump and Toomey and encourages voters to support Katie McGinty and Hillary Clinton.

“With Election Day rapidly approaching, we released these ads because in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina, Latino voters can be the margin of victory against Donald Trump and the Republicans,” said PFAW President Michael Keegan. “Senators Burr and Toomey have both spent their time in the Senate voting for anti-immigrant measures. They are part of the Party of Trump and it’s time to vote against the hateful, dangerous agendas of Trump and the Republican Party.”

“Those who stand with the Latino community stand strongly against Trump, yet sadly we’ve seen Richard Burr embrace Trump and Pat Toomey refuses to state his position in one way or another,” said PFAW Director of Latinos Vote! Lizet Ocampo. “But Latino voters have seen more than enough of Trump: we reject his anti-immigrant hate, his insults against women, and his disrespect toward veterans. By turning out to vote in record numbers, we’ll ensure that Democrats win up and down the ballot this November.”
