Washington, D.C.— In response to reports that Republican party officials are moving to eliminate a number of GOP presidential primaries and caucuses, over the objections of challengers to President Trump, PFAW Political Director and Director of the PFAW Latinos Vote! program Lizet Ocampo released the following statement:

“This is not what democracy should look like. At a time when the Democratic primaries are more inclusive, diverse, and transparent than ever, Republicans are closing down options for voters and turning their nomination process into one of swearing another loyalty oath to Donald Trump. Voters have every right to be disgusted by this heavy-handed action on the part of GOP officials, who continue to transform a once vibrant party into a Trump cult.”
