In response to reports of more allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, People For the American Way Executive Vice President Marge Baker issued the following statement.

“In the face of mounting allegations of sexual misconduct, Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination must be withdrawn from consideration for a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court. Moving forward with the confirmation process would be an insult to the women who are speaking out about his behavior and an attack on all survivors. Senators of both parties should make clear that they won’t be party to a rushed, rigged confirmation process designed to cover up or minimize credible allegations of sexual assault.”
