In response to news that President Trump has dissolved his so-called “Election Integrity Commission,” People For the American Way Executive Vice President Marge Baker issued the following statement:

“Donald Trump’s so-called ‘Election Integrity Commission’ was a scam and a fraud from beginning to end. Its purpose was never to make elections stronger: it was to twist and distort the facts in order to help justify onerous new restrictions on the right to vote designed to help Republicans rig our democracy in their own favor. This is a major victory for every activist who has called out this sham commission for what it is. Good riddance to bad rubbish.”
