WASHINGTON, D.C.— Following today’s vote to confirm Justin Walker, a Trump nominee to the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Kentucky, People For the American Way Executive Vice President for Policy and Program Marge Baker released the following statement:

“When will this end? The Republican-controlled Senate voted today to put another person with virtually no courtroom experience and a ‘not qualified’ rating from the American Bar Association on the federal bench. This is an affront to the people of Kentucky, who deserve better. It’s also an affront to everyone who still believes the judges on our federal courts should be fair-minded constitutionalists, not people chosen solely for their political activism and partisanship.”
