Matt Barber continues his crusade against Matt Drudge. James O'Keefe, of all people, is suing the New Jersey Star-Ledger because "it is my experience that demanding retractions from dishonorable people only leads to dishonorable retractions." Randall Terry thinks that pointing out that he is not really a legitimate Democratic candidate for president is "deceptive thuggery." Looks like the ACLJ is getting in on the anti-Islam documentary business. Finally, does this mean we won't get to watch Newt Gingrich enter CPAC in this manner for the... MORE

Jerry Boykin appeared on American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer’s radio show Focal Point today to discuss his decision to withdraw from a prayer breakfast at West Point when his radical anti-Muslim views and conspiracy theories became a lightning rod for criticism. While Boykin said the decision to withdraw was his and his alone, he spent most of the time on Fischer’s show suggesting that the Obama administration is out to “destroy” the “Judeo-Christian base upon which we were founded” and has “denigrated both Christianity and Judaism.... Last year, Gary Cass of the ironically named Christian Anti-Defamation Commission announced that his organization would be releasing monthly videos leading up to the 2012 election laying out ten "irrefutable proofs that Barack Obama is NOT a Christian!"
Well, today Cass released the first installment in this series in which the CADC claims that the fact that healthcare reform funds abortion and includes "death panels" proves that Obama is not a Christian.
Of course, both claims are absolutely false ... but that is not going to stop the CADC from asserting that... MORE

David French is a Senior Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, home of both Jay and Jordan Sekulow, two of Mitt Romney's most high-profile Religious Right supporters. French too is also a Romney supporter, having launched Evangelicals for Mitt with his wife Nancy.
Today, French penned an op-ed for CNN calling on his fellow evangelicals to drop their support for Newt Gingrich and, in making his case, he certainly didn't pull any punches, calling Gingrich an arrogant, bullying serial adulterer:
If character counts, then so do values like fidelity, honesty, humility... MORE

During a tele-townhall hosted by Personhood USA along with radio talk show host Steve Deace and Liberty Counsel chairman Mat Staver, Newt Gingrich maintained that as president he will work to “undo the damage done in the ’60s and ’70s” to American society “by a movement that somehow thought it could reinvent being human.” The former Speaker of the House went on to claim that “elites have driven us towards a kind of paganism” similar to the pagan world of the Roman Empire the Apostle Paul found himself in. Cries of burgeoning “paganism... MORE

Harry Jackson, who believes that his political opponents are literally under the control of demons and that gay rights movement is a “Satanic plot” and “an insidious intrusion of the Devil,” had the gall yesterday to pen a column yesterday lamenting the “bickering and pettiness” in American politics and express his longing for a less contentious political environment. While Jackson noted that even our Founding Fathers engaged in fierce political attacks against one another, he called on people to look to Martin Luther King Jr. as a model:
Think about King... MORE

C. Peter Wagner, founder of the New Apostolic Reformation, sent out an email yesterday announcing that he had recently been in Delaware for the commissioning of several new apostles. Wagner wrote that, when he arrived, he was surprised to learn that "a good bit of field work had been done to assure the approval of the State of Delaware."
In fact, Wagner reports that he was given a commondation and the key to the city of Seaford by its mayor and even received a tribute from the city council, the state Senate, and the state House that was personally read by the local state... MORE

Pastor Steven Andrew of USA Christian Ministries is joining groups such as the National Organization for Marriage, Liberty Counsel and the Family Research Council in attacking Starbucks for speaking out in favor of equal rights for gays and lesbians. Andrew, author of Making A Strong Christian Nation, chided Starbucks in a statement for deciding to “follow Satan” and said in a statement that the company is “turning against God”:
Christians Boycott Starbucks -- Because Romans 1 Explains Starbucks Hates God
What if Starbucks lost 80% of its customers? Christians across... MORE

It seems that Bryan Fischer considers himself to be something of an expert when it comes to the issue of medicine and healthcare.
For example, just last week he has informed us that Bill Clinton was responsible for a rise in oral cancer. And before that, he was explaining that AIDS is not caused by HIV , but rather by rampant drug use and promiscuity among gay men and that if they would only stop having sex, God would be able to cure the disease.
So it only stands to reason that he would also have some thoughts on how to get healthcare costs under control by... MORE
