Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality apparently had to spend quite some time stewing over the Supreme Court’s decision striking down the key provision of the Defense of Marriage Act, finally coming out today with a press release slamming the decision. The high court’s decision, LaBarbera writes, “continues America’s godless trajectory toward sexual and gender chaos” and helps to make us “a Profane Nation at war with our own heritage.”
He saves his special vitriol for Justice Anthony Kennedy, author of the DOMA opinion, whom he... MORE

Ergun Caner was once the high-profile head of Liberty University’s seminary but was demoted in 2010 after bloggers and journalists poked holes in the dramatic Jihadi-to-Jesus life story Caner had peddled after 9-11. Arabic-speaking bloggers charged that he was actually speaking gibberish when lapsing into “Arabic.” In 2011 he left Liberty to become provost at Arlington Baptist College. And, as RWW reported earlier this year, he was invited to address the Family Research Council’s 2013 “Watchmen on the Walls” conference for pastors, a sign perhaps that... MORE

Bradlee Dean not only lost his $50 million lawsuit against Rachel Maddow but is also refusing to obey a court order to pay her legal fees. Now he is using the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act to plea with readers to “help his lawsuit” by donating to him. In doing so, he promises, readers will “stand for America and get [a] free gift.”
“Think Overturning Doma is bad? You should see what MSNBC and Rachel Maddow did to Bradlee Dean,” he writes.
Just to scare readers a bit more, he claims that the court’s “decision... MORE

Adding to the list of off-the-wall reactions to the Supreme Court’s decisions on two same-sex marriage cases, Religious Right activist Ted Baehr of Movieguide released a statement demanding that all officials who back marriage equality be “subject to indictment, trial and just punishment.”
He claimed that same-sex marriage is part of a Marxist plan to “abolish marriage and the family” and may one day allow dictators like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin to rise to power in America.
“The Supreme Court’s decision today is absolutely criminal,”... MORE

Yesterday, TruNews host Rick Wiles warned that immigration reform proposals and the Supreme Court’s decisions on same-sex marriage are both efforts to attack freedom and destroy the Constitution.
“Life in America changed today to life in Mystery Babylon,” Wiles lamented, arguing that the DOMA ruling is part of a larger “war on the laws of God and the Christian heritage of the United States of America” that is leading America into a “moral sinkhole.”
He claimed that District Court Judge Vaughn Walker’s ruling that Prop. 8 is unconstitutional is a... MORE

Gary Bauer is joining other anti-gay activists in warning that they should prepare to face jail time as a result of gay rights victories at the Supreme Court. In the Washington Times today, Bauer claims that people who oppose same-sex marriage will “find themselves in court” and religious people may soon be “fined or jailed” because of their views.
The ultimate goal of homosexual-rights activists is not to legalize same-sex marriage. Rather, it is to silence those who disagree with them and, if necessary, to throw them in jail. In a world in which the biblical... MORE

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality visited the Janet Mefferd show on Tuesday to discuss “ex-gay” ministry Exodus International’s decision to shut its doors and apologize to the gay community. LaBarbera, unsurprisingly, was none too pleased with Exodus’ reversal. He told Mefferd the story of an “ex-gay” acquaintance, Andrew Franklin, who helped him understand that homosexuality is merely a curable “masculinity deficit.” He added that people react to homosexuality differently than other “sins” because it... Religious Right activist Paul Craft, writing for Alan Keyes’ Renew America, knows just how state governments that oppose gay marriage should respond to the Supreme Court’s ruling on DOMA: secede. Calling the DOMA decision “the beginning of the end for the United States of America,” Craft urged states that are against marriage equality to “stand for liberty” and “secede from the union” since “things will only get worse” here on out.
He added that those states will be “blessed” since they will follow God’s laws and... MORE

Dishonest as always, David Barton claimed yesterday that the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act will allow the Obama administration to force military chaplains to perform same-sex nuptials and withhold aid from Central American nations until they legalize gay marriage.
Speaking with Glenn Beck, Barton said that the Obama administration will use the DOMA decision to compel chaplains to “perform gay marriage against their will” and tell Central American governments that they will “withhold all State Department funds to your country until you get gay... MORE

Expanding on her claim that America has too many Latinos, Ann Coulter today argues that Democrats want to bring even more immigrants into the country because they are aborting their own children and don’t want conservatives “out-populating” them. Coulter warns that progressives intend to prevent their “demographic collapse” through immigration and see the Senate reform bill as a way “to flip an imminent conservative victory into a permanent liberal majority.”
After likening immigrants to prisoners, she writes that progressives “want the rest of... MORE
