Phyllis Schlafly is livid about the Los Angeles Unified School District's decision to launch a program last month to put iPads in the hands of every student in the school district. The Los Angeles Times explains that the effort is intended to “put a school district composed mostly of low-income, minority students on an even footing with more prosperous students, who have such devices at home, at school or both.” The program was temporarily halted this week after enterprising students at one test school promptly figured out how to hack the iPads for personal use – but... Today on "WallBuilders Live," David Barton doubled down on his assertion that there are literally no limits on the Second Amendment, declaring that individuals not only have an inalienable right to possess guns, but also tanks, rocket launchers, fighter jets, and anything else they can get their hands on; including, presumably, even nuclear bombs:
The belief of the Second Amendment was you as a citizen have a right to defend yourself whether it be against a thug, an aggressor, a crook, or against your government.
Now this is where a lot of liberals go through the roof; are you... MORE

How do you raise “awareness” in total secrecy?
The “Ex-Gay” community loves to complain that LGBT acivists, the media, and public officials ignore their existence. They portray themselves as martyrs to political correctness. And they’re tired of it! So this year, they decided to make a big splash.
Unfortunately, plans for an “Ex-Gay Pride Month” in July imploded: a rally expected to draw “tens of thousands” drew fewer than a dozen. A dinner celebration planned for the Family Research Council building was postponed with vague... MORE

The Heritage Foundation, like Sen. Ted Cruz, has been strongly urging senators to vote against a bill they actually support in order to shut down the government until President Obama and Senate Democrats agree to defund Obamacare.
And, being Heritage, they don’t mind completely reversing a position they held until just last year to do it.
Essentially, Heritage and other right-wing groups like Club for Growth want Senate Republicans to join Cruz in blocking debate (or voting against cloture) on the continuing resolution (CR) until Senate Democrats agree to establish a 60-vote threshold... MORE

Rick Joyner and Jerry Boykin are both encouraged but also concerned about the situation in Syria ... primarily because of what it might signal about the End Times.
Joyner is encouraged because he sees Biblical signs of the End Times everywhere he looks, which means Christians should be growing excited because the Day of Redemption is near. But one Biblical prophecy that has not yet been fulfilled is Isaiah 17's promise that the city of Damascus will be destroyed and this prophecy, said Joyner, "has to be fulfilled before this age can end."
For his part, Boykin envisions a... MORE

After Ex-Gay Pride Month was a complete disaster, to say the least, ex-gay activist Christopher Doyle appeared yesterday on Sandy Rios In The Morning to promote his latest event: Ex-Gay Awareness Month.
Rios wanted to know why the White House held a meeting with bisexual leaders while leaving out ‘ex-gays’ like Doyle, who told the American Family Association radio host that it is another sign that straight people like himself are facing discrimination by their “powerful oppressors” in the LGBT community.
“I think that what is really going on is there’s an... MORE

In an email republished by Peter LaBarbera, anti-gay activist Scott Lively called the Center for Constitutional Rights “a truly demonic organization.” The CCR is currently representing Sexual Minorities Uganda in its case against Lively, who asked for people to pray for “confusion” among the CCR’s “cultural Marxists” and “Marxist activists.”
“CCR is the ‘principality and power’ behind the SMUG lawsuit and many far-left causes, a truly demonic organization, operating from the heart of New York City at 666 Broadway,”... MORE

Tony Perkins vaguely threatens legal action against the Southern Poverty Law Center. Speaking of Perkins, Gov. Bobby Jindal has appointed him to the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement. Peter LaBarbera warns that "when you have boys being awarded and elected 'Homecoming Queen,' you are a society in big trouble." It has gotten to the point where Glenn Beck is now reading excerpts from books like "Fahrenheit 451" on the air. Finally, Jan Markell warns that Somali immigrants in Minnesota will carry out a Kenya-style attack on the Mall of America... MORE

Bryan Fischer was so enraptured by Sen. Ted Cruz's self-aggrandizing faux filibuster against Obamacare that he is now literally comparing him to the Prophet Elijah.
Citing 1 Kings 18, where Elijah engaged in a showdown against the prophets of Baal, Fischer declared that "our Elijah today, confronting the prophets of Baal, is Ted Cruz and last night was his showdown on Mount Carmel."
Just like Elijah, who stood there "all day to defend the truth, to defend God, to stand for what is right," Fischer said, "last night was Ted Cruz's Elijah moment":... MORE
