This week, South Carolina state senator Larry Grooms introduced a bill similar to the one recently passed in Texas that would require any doctor performing an abortion in the state to have “admitting privileges at a local hospital.”
Five states have recently passed similar bills. Publicly, advocates claim that the purpose of such bills is to protect women’s health; in unguarded moments, some activists have admitted that these provisions are actually meant to force abortion clinics to close by pressuring hospitals to deny the required privileges to abortion doctors.

It seems that every Religious Right group has put out a petition this week defending Phil Robertson, the Duck Dynasty star who was suspended after he made racist and homophobic statements in an interview with GQ. We are not surprised that the Right has pounced on the opportunity to play the victim and grow their email lists.
This National Organization for Marriage’s petition claims Robertson was suspended merely for stating “his belief in the truth of the Bible,” insisting that “nothing that Phil Robertson said is hateful” and that A&E “succumbed... MORE

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.
Apparently, we here at Right Wing Watch are receiving secret information on the American public courtesy of the NSA. This week we learned top-secret details about the War on Christmas, along with the Obama administration’s false flag attacks and plan to nuke South Carolina. It’s all here in this week’s Paranoia-Rama:

Earlier this year, Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk became a cause célèbre for the Religious Right after he was supposedly relieved of duty for opposing gay marriage; so much so that his tale of victimization was even the focus of an entire panel at the annual Values Voter Summit.
The only problem was that his tale of anti-Christian persecution was false:
The Air Force has found unsubstantiated the claim of a senior master sergeant who said he was reassigned after making known his religious objections to same-sex marriage.
Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk, now assigned to the... MORE

It is no surprise that professional anti-gay bigot Bryan Fischer has come out in support of "Duck Dynasty's" Phil Robertson, defending the anti-gay comments that got Robertson suspended from the show.
In fact, on his broadcast yesterday, Fischer called upon conservative Christians all over the nation to follow Robertson's example and speak "biblical truth about sexuality and marriage" in "every circumstance, every situation, every conversation."
Saying that the entire controversy is rooted in the "spiritual warfare" that Satan is waging on... MORE

By all accounts, 2013 was a banner year for the gay rights movement: The Supreme Court struck down the worst part of the Defense of Marriage Act, seven new states legalized marriage equality, polls showed Americans backing gay rights in ever-growing numbers, anti-gay crusader Ken Cuccinelli was defeated in his bid to become Virginia’s governor, the Boy Scouts loosened their discriminatory policies, and the “ex-gay” movement began to self-destruct.
But although it’s become an annual tradition to declare the end of the Religious Right, we have seen that equality... MORE

Ken Hutcherson, best known around here for being a vehemently anti-gay activist, has died after
a long battle with cancer. If you are going to send out an email blasting a member of Congress, at least
make sure you are attacking the
right one. FRC prays against ENDA: "While the Democratic-controlled Senate passed the
bill, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has said the House will not take it up. Pray for the activist agenda to end here and for

On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer discussed the case Indian diplomat who was arrested last week on charges of visa fraud and underpaying her nanny, which Fischer is not buying at all since he knows that this diplomat was really arrested because President Obama is trying to pay India back for the recent Supreme Court ruling outlawing gay sex.
Fischer, a vocal supporter of the Indian law, said the arrest of the diplomat was nothing more than "payback" to the nation of India for the ruling.
"I mean, could you be any more obvious about retaliation or payback,"... MORE

Speaking with Alex Jones on Wednesday, Larry Klayman said that he, like Gandhi, will lead a revolution in America that will overthrow the “evil” Obama administration.
“Obama’s a socialist, a borderline communist, he’s sympathetic to Muslim interests, he does everything he can to destroy Israel and frankly we have somebody in the White House who is evil, plain and simple,” Klayman told Jones, before arguing that since the Republicans are not an effective opposition, he himself will lead an anti-Obama revolution.
“If Gandhi can do it in India, we can do... MORE
