Angry that a Family Research Council prayer event coincides with LGBT Pride Month, FRC prayer director Pierre Bynum called on members today to pray for God to “stop the advance of this official celebration of sin.” “Only heaven knows exactly how this brazen departure from the moral law of God will impact our nation,” Bynum said. LGBT Pride Month - On Call2Fall Sunday, June 29th, the very day believers and churches across America will fall to their knees to pray for our nation, those who self-identify as homosexuals will be celebrating "LGBT Pride Day," a... Mike Huckabee will not be speaking at the North Carolina Republican Party's convention next month because organizers could not come up with the $15,000 speaking fee he charges. Matt Moore wants to make it clear that he really, truly, genuinely loves gays before telling them they are bound for Hell. Bryan Fischer continues to insist that the Bible prohibits slavery and requires that those who practice it are to be put to death.  Someone should ask him if that means that he believes Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and other slave-owning Founding Fathers should have been... Charisma pundit Raynard Jackson warns today that homosexuality and immigration are hurting African American men, and only white female right-wing commentators like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham can save the black community by fighting President Obama. Seriously. Black women constantly complain about the dearth of "eligible" black men to date and marry. Noted sociologist William Julius Wilson has argued that "the increasing levels of non-marriage and female-headed households is a manifestation of the high levels of economic dislocation experienced by lower-class black men in... On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer put forth a rather novel theory that a society that does not sentence criminals to death for crimes which warrant such a punishment is actually doing a disservice to those criminals by not putting them in a situation where they must contemplate the existence of God so that they can repent and go to Heaven. As he explained, someone facing an imminent death does not "have any option but to consider eternal questions" and so "if out of some misguided sense of compassion, we do not give somebody the death penalty who deserves it,"... After making racist and homophobic comments in a magazine interview last year, “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson is slated to address the Republican Leadership Conference tomorrow along with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins and U.S. Sen. David Vitter, the Louisiana Republican previously embroiled in a prostitution scandal. Phil’s son Alan Robertson, who at last week’s FRC “Watchmen on the Wall” conference hailed his father as a “21st century prophet” akin to John the Baptist, appeared on American Family Radio last week to claim... Incensed by the release of a postage stamp honoring Harvey Milk, the American Family Association is urging its members not only to avoid purchasing the stamp…but to refuse to accept or open any letter or package postmarked with one. 1. Refuse to accept the Harvey Milk stamp if offered by your local post office. Instead, ask for a stamp of the United States flag. 2. Refuse to accept mail at your home or business if it is postmarked with the Harvey Milk stamp. Simply write 'Return to Sender" on the envelope and tell your postman you won't accept it. In his daily email... MORE

Over the Memorial Day weekend, President Obama made a surprise trip to Afghanistan and when the White House released a list of those who attended a military briefing with him, it mistakenly included the name of the CIA's top intelligence official in the country. To Glenn Beck and his staff, this was no accident but rather an intentional effort "to get Americans killed" as a result of the fact that Muslim Brotherhood operatives have infiltrated every level of government. "Muslim Brotherhood in the White House," Beck told his staff during yesterday's morning staff... MORE

Rep. Trent Franks stopped by the Family Research Council’s “Washington Watch” yesterday to discuss the plight of a Sudanese woman who is facing a death sentence for converting to Christianity. The Arizona Republican of course managed to blame President Obama for the situation, telling FRC president Tony Perkins that the administration isn’t helping the woman, who is married to a U.S. citizen. “I wonder if this administration would worry if Al Qaeda took Texas,” he said. “He might say it’s none of our business. It’s just really starting to... MORE

When Baptist pastor Jody Hice made it into a runoff election last week to succeed Georgia Rep. Paul Broun in the U.S. House, Tim Murphy at Mother Jones did a great public service by reading Hice’s 2012 book, in which he alleged that gay people have a secret plot to “sodomize” kids and posited that Muslims don’t deserve First Amendment rights. While Hice might have crystalized his thinking in his book, his long record as an activist and host of a syndicated radio show reveals his views on many other subjects, including mass shootings, the role of women in...
