The House of Representatives has once again carried out its necessary constitutional duty and has voted to impeach Donald Trump, this time with bipartisan support. This is the first time a president has been impeached twice. Trump’s dangerous disregard for the responsibilities of our nation’s highest office and his role in inciting the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol that left five people dead, including a Capitol police officer, is unconscionable and unacceptable. The Senate must vote to convict Trump. Our Constitution and our democracy require it.
