State Representative David Bowen was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2014 and most recently in 2016. Prior, he was elected to the Milwaukee County Board in 2012. He was the youngest member of the board and one of the youngest elected officials in Milwaukee history. Rep. Bowen is a scholar of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a National AmeriCorps Service Alum, a Legacy Foundation Youth Activism Fellow, and the former Program Director for youth-development nonprofit Urban Underground in Milwaukee. Bowen represents Wisconsin’s 10th Assembly district, which is made up of the Village of Shorewood and many great neighborhoods on the north side of Milwaukee. In the Assembly, he proudly serves on the Committees on Corrections, Education, Insurance, Children and Families, and he is a member of the Speaker’s Task Force on Urban Education.
