In Georgia, a key state in the 2022 midterm elections, People For the American Way ran a multi-platform campaign which, in addition to highlighting the work of our artist-activists, sent one million text messages, featured radio ads, digital ads, press outreach, and social media. Original artwork from our artists were featured on digital billboards and mobile digital billboards across the Atlanta-metro area to turn out the vote and defeat Herschel Walker and Brian Kemp.

Participating creators include world-renowned visual artist Shepard Fairey and Carrie Mae Weems, co-chairs of People For’s Artists for the American Way, as well as Victoria Cassinova, Deborah Kass, Cleon Peterson, and Alyson Shotz.
