Today, People For the American Way (PFAW) released a Get Out the Vote music video, “Be You y Vota,” featuring Sarai Gonzalez and Bomba Estereo’s hit song ‘Soy Yo.’ In her now-famous style and inspired by the ‘Soy Yo’ music video, Sarai rejects Donald Trump’s hate by bringing everyone she knows to the polls to go vote. Speaking to Latino and bilingual audiences, the video is part of PFAW’s Latinos Vote! campaign.

Watch the video:

Sarai Gonzalez said, “I was excited to do this video because this election is so important. I’ve had enough of Donald Trump. He’s unkind and he’s dishonest. Even all the kids in my school know how racist he is and that he can’t be president. He would make America much worse, not better. That’s why everyone needs to vote.”

PFAW Director of Latinos Vote! Lizet Ocampo added, “As Sarai makes clear in this new video, we don’t have to stand for Trump’s hate. But what we do have to do is go vote! More than ever before, in this election, Latino voters hold the keys to the White House. We’ll use the power of our vote to make our voices heard against Donald Trump and the Republican Party’s divisive agenda that would be devastating to Latino communities and all Americans.”

People For the American Way (PFAW) is a progressive advocacy organization founded to fight right-wing extremism and defend constitutional values including free expression, religious liberty, equal justice under the law, and the right to meaningfully participate in our democracy. PFAW’s Latinos Vote! program works to expose and counter anti-immigrant, anti-Latino rhetoric and policies from Republican and far-right candidates, leaders, and elected officials.
